| Subject: Chunin Exam Finals: Round 2 - Fight 4 6th August 2020, 7:56 pm | |
| The participants of the fight would be herded into metal boxes that had no windows or any way to look out of them, in fact they even seemed to shut off additional forms of sensory. The boxes were then lifted up and carried away to the fighting stage. As the boxes hovered above the battlefield, a series of small messages would appear on the inside of the box in glowing pink font that spelled out what exactly was happening. "You will be placed on a platform next to another individual. That is the person you are teamed with. The Finals are Cross-Team Doubles. Defeat the opposing team to win the round. Wins grant 2 points, Draws grant 1 point to each team, Losses count as 0 points. Battle starts in 5..."The number then counted down, when it hit zero the first four combatants would drop onto the battlefield. They would be immediately hit with the smell of swamp and when they landed with a plop the lily pads they stood on would immediately start to sink as they weren't supposed to stand on them for too long. The first team was dropped off, Marek and Mei, and they would notice that there were two trees about 15 ft away from them and that if they didn't jump they would have to deal with swamp water. The second pair of boxes, one hundred feet ahead, albeit unknown to the participants due to the boulders scattered about, dropped off two other figures; Praise and Indra K., who also would also drop onto a lily pad, however the former would find that the smell was quite foul a bit more than the others did. A klaxon then sounded out across the field, signaling the start of the first fight. - Battlefield (Deep Swamp):
A large soupy swamp dotted with tall, gnarled trees and massive lily pads spreads out before the combatants. Each tree is thirty feet apart however there is a lily pad at the midway point between each tree. Standing on a lily pad without moving off it next round, causes it to sink and forces the people on it into the water. The water itself grows thicker and sludgier as one gets closer to the center of the battlefield. For the first 50 feet, it reduces speed by one rank unless one has C-Rank strength. For the next 50 feet it reduces speed by two ranks(One rank with C-Rank Strength, normal speed with B-Rank). For the last 50 feet it reduces speed by three ranks (Two ranks with C-Rank strength, One Rank with B-Rank, normal speed with A-Rank.)

| Praise would immediately gag when she got a whiff of the stage and as such she knew what sense she'd be getting rid of if she needed to. Ultimately it wasn't the most favorable of battlefields and she was debating whether or not to utilize her terrain changing technique just so they could at least have some stable footing. "Ugh great get on my back these things don't seem all that stable." she said placing her hand on the lily pad they were standing on choosing to slam her palm into the ground and do a repeat of what she dod the previous round just for footing purposes. Sure it would probably be less visually impressive but at the very least they won't have to go mucking around in swamp muck. If it worked she would leap from their lily pad onto one of the muddy bone spikes using her chakra to adhere to its surface while waiting for Indra in case he had any strategy this time around. If not then the plan was to get close and clobber them. - Spoiler:
Dance of the Seedling Fern has a radius of 160 ft and can reach 100 ft into the air. Don't know how deep the swamp os but hopefully it's not more than 100 ft lol...
Either way everyone but Praise and Indra if he gets on her back have bones erupting from the swamp at vacuum release speeds to deal with.
Name: Dance of the Kaguya Classification: Fighting Style Rank: D Class: Offensive/Defensive/Supplementary Range: Short-Mid
Description: The Dance of the Kaguya is a fighting style revolving around the manipulation of the bones within one's body which was popularized by the Dakar initially however the Kurogane clan is what truly gave this fighting style recognition. Despite that they did not ever lay claim to them merely utilizing their own unique bone structure to take it to new levels. Mujin learned this fighting style from his own sensei fully intent on passing it down to his own students. The Dance of the Kaguya is known for fluid movements in arcs or spins like a nimble dancer allowing for a high degree of balance and flexibility. This prevents the user from being knocked off balance by D-rank and below techniques while giving this sense of balance to all of the techniques in it's line each being able to serve in place of a same rank balancing technique to offset knockback. When utilized by a Dakar due to possessing the Life Release Genetic structure all of the Dances are labeled Taijutsu however deal no damage to the user's skin to preform. When utilized by a Kurogane they are also labeled as Taijutsu however deal damage to the user's skin (1-rank below rank of technique) in addition to being painful to use (equal rank pain to rank of technique) to produce which is offset by Dead Bone Pulse as well as being useful for dispelling genjutsu on the user. Regardless of the type utilized all of the techniques stemming from Dance of the Kaguya deal Life Release Physical Damage.
Name: Dance of the Seedling Fern Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: A-rank (Variable Fatigue Price per jump) Class: Supplementary/Offensive Range: AOE
Description: Upon the user making contact with the ground using their hands or feet as an initiator countless bones rise from underground moving at vacuum release speeds, which can be as many as "thousands", up to the "tens of thousands" covering a vast distance with a 160ft radius around the user of this technique while reaching up to 100ft into the air. The blades of bone indiscriminately slaughter whoever stands on the ground's surface as they are sharp enough to pierce through up to A-rank defenses. Furthermore, if this fails to bring down the foe, the user can become one with the bones, which in turn can allow them to attack an enemy unnoticed unless they possess A-rank vibration sensory to detect the subtle shaking a bone makes prior to the user emerging from it. This technique changes the terrain and is the only one of the five initial dances which is a ninjutsu rather than a taijutsu. Depending on the user's skill level and endurance tiers the distance between each bone pillar the user can jump to, and the fatigue price per jump varies. This allows the user to move from bone to bone at increased distances albeit fatiguing the user quickly if they do so recklessly. While moving through bones it uses the user's speed tiers as it's basis. | Arriving in the new arena, Indra would scan the terrain to get his bearings. His nose crinkled at the stench of rotting organic matter, though the gagging sounds coming from Praise showed him she was having a harder time with the stench. He couldn't see their opponents, but assumed someone was out there. Praise was already all business and she didn't have to tell him twice. Indra had seen her in action, the last thing he wanted was to be impaled by one of those bones. So, like an obedient little helper, Indra leapt over to her lilypad and clambered onto the shinobi's back. Hopefully I can be of a bit more help this time. | The moment Marek hit the lily pad, he frowned and cast his glance around for a few moments, shuddering. "If you wouldn't mind Darling, if either of these people dunk me into the water, please kill me. The disaster it will cause for my skin and clothes won't be worth living through. Also dodge, now." He told her, shaking himself out and summoning his bow into his hand. Luckily his eyes were incredibly sharp and he immediately leaped up and at an angle, letting the bones spike up all around him but missing him entirely. He quickly used his chakra to stick to one of the bones and ran to the top for a sniper perch and to see where they all came from. Shortened sight lines were dire for him. "Tut tut little birds, I see you." He hummed as he drew his bow back. He let the bow drain some of his life force as he fired out a pair of arrows that turned invisible as they left the bow, at A-Rank speeds, aimed at the bone that Praise was currently stuck to. They'd stick into it for barely a second before exploding, sending out a cloud of gas and toxin. - Spoiler:

Name: Junsuina Style Archery Classification: Fighting Style Rank: D-Rank Class: Supplementary Range: Self
Description: Those within the Junsuina Haiiro style are not simply Samurai, but identify themselves as Archers. To that degree they looked towards their counterparts in other samurai styles and decided that rather than try and compete with the use of the blade, they would perfect another weapon namely the Bow. They found that by mastering the art of chakra flow they were able to utilize their energy reserves as a quiver, launching out arrows comprised of the very thing that flowed in their pathways/limit. Archery itself may not deal as much damage (Hybrid) as other physical types of combat however the Junsuina style excels in a numbers game with the archers of this style refining their chakra control to it's utmost level in an attempt to reduce the strain of using their archery techniques. This technique is required to learn any of the Junsuina Style techniques, not to mention depending on the skill of the user the amount of arrows capable of being formed from the archer's chakra differs. Description: To a Junsuina Style archer knowing out to use one's energy sources is merely one step, the other is the type of bow that they use, contrary to popular belief the Junsuina style doesn't only use one type of bow, but instead they use several with the lone exception being the Crossbow. Other than that bow, depending on the type of Bow an archer uses they will be subject to different distance modifiers for their Kyujutsu techniques in comparison to normal. This particular technique was created with the sole purpose of being able to compete with those Cypher Archers and their unique style of Archery which favored sniping over barrages. Type of Bow - Base Distance Scale Modifier (Junsuina Rank Bonus) Short-Bow - .5x (D = +.5x) Long Bow - 1x (C = +1x) Composite -Bow - 2x (B = +1.5x)

Description: Those within the Junsuina style have specialized for the use of not only a weaker damage type in comparison to a traditional archer but generally the use of energy reserves as their ammo. This has it's drawbacks however they have learned to use it's strengths to offset that weakness. As a result a Junsuina Style archer is capable of letting out large amounts of arrows in order to counter-balance techniques which use a stronger damage type than their own. This is useful when clashing techniques as at the cost of some of their arrows being destroyed they are able to match techniques which would normally destroy their arrows without pause. Description: Req. Junsuina Style: Bow-Blade Conversion. This is the next level in a series of techniques meant to phase out the use of weapons within the Junsuina Style, in particular it is useful for the sole purpose of eliminating the need of possessing a physical bow, by sealing it within the user's non-dominant arm. The result is that they gain a tattoo identical to their blade bow and become able to form a bow comprise of an energy source. This gives them two advantages in comparison to having a physical bow, the first being the ability to harness not only their bow-blades abilities but likewise retain the use of their element without the risk of their weapon being destroyed. The second becomes apparent when the archer samurai becomes a reaper as this technique is required for the Soul Bow line of techniques. Depending on the price paid the size of the Soul Bow formed different, furthermore depending on the size of the bow it gains and additional distance scale multiplier when utilizing Kyujutsu techniques. Upon being created while it does share the same durability as the Bow-Blade it originally was upon being destroyed it can merely be manifested once more for another price. Description: This technique is one of the techniques which incorporates Junsuina Style Archery, causing the archer draw back their bow before loosing a humanoid sized arrow which moves at B-rank speeds covering up to 3 ft before the archer causes it to pulse. The result is that the arrow will fade away becoming invisible to the naked eye and requiring a sensory technique B-rank or above depending on the energy source used (Chakra/Mental/Spiritual/Natural) or B-rank non vision specific Reaction Tiers to detect it before it strikes it's target within 15 ft the arrow when it fades away. This technique is useful for stealth based kills as the faded arrows are very difficult to detect in normal situations. Rank - No. of Arrows Fired with one price D - 1 C - 2

Description: Req. To learn Doku Style Taki Clan techniques. Those who are of the Doku Branch of the Taki Clan have found a method of attuning their chakra to form toxic materials after throughly studying the application of said substance in addition to routine exposure to it's effects in order to get a firm grasp of it's reproduction. Ambient chakra is rather flexible and it is only through an innate understanding of poisons in addition to a mastery of controlling one's chakra that one can fully delve into the Medical Ninjutsu aspect of poison making. Each Taki Clan member can become attune to a set amount of poisons in their life-time which they can produce naturally with the aid of the poison (materia) in question. After a while however the amount of said poison needed decreases with their skill level up to the point that eventually the poison can be produced without any need for a sample of the poison in question at all. Name: Doku-Style Archery: Thicket Arrow Classification: Kyujutsu/Medical Ninjutsu Rank: B-Rank (B-Rank Chakra+Variable Poison Materia) Class: Offensive Range: Mid-Long(Arrow Firing), AoE(Detonation)
Description: Focusing their chakra, the Doku forms it into an arrow imbued with the properties of one of their poisons. They then release and fire the arrow, if it strikes a person then it is immediately absorbed into the blood stream and triggers, otherwise it can be triggered to explode with the effects hidden until activated unless the opponent possesses C-Rank chakra level reading or C-Rank Poison Identification technique. This explodes outwards in a 15 foot radius and the poison gas lingers for a number of PT determined by the user's rank unless cleared by a B-Rank or higher dispersal technique. Type of Poisonous Substance Being Used: Blackthrush for one arrow, Psilocybin for the other Poison Effect: Blackthrush(2 Tier Level drop to speed and strength, every 10 PT lose another 2 Tier Levels unless flushed out of system. Once both strength and speed are below D-Rank, causes paralysis.)
Psilocybin(Hallucinations set in almost instantly but do nothing. After 5 PT reduce the range of all techs by 5 feet due to being unable to judge distance. After 10 PT Barrier Tiers are reduced by one rank. After 15 PT reduce range of all techs by 20 feet. After 20 PT barrier tiers are reduced by two ranks. After 30 PT, toxin flushes from system.)

Name: Adrenal Field: Shallow Breathing Classification: Medical Ninjutsu Rank: C-Rank(2 Stamina per use) Class: Offensive/Supplementary Range: AoE(Hormonal Field)
Description: Adrenaline is almost considered a combat hormone, used to heighten the body and keep it safe from danger. However that can easily be used against someone, attacking their body from within. This is what an Inakamono does, tapping into someone's Adrenaline stores and causing them to take rapid, shallow breaths against their will, raising their blood rate. This requires either a D-Rank poison removal technique to stop or C-Rank spirit tiers to prevent the body from acting against itself. Otherwise, the user starts to breathe rapidly even if they'd rather hold their breath, requiring a C-Rank concentration technique or B-Rank barrier tiers to force themselves to hold their breaths and any airborne toxins activate and go through effects twice as fast(So an effect that would trigger in 10 PT would trigger in 5 instead, rounding up). This lasts for an amount of time dependent on the user's rank.

Name: Inakamono Style Juggling: Popping Shot Classification: Medical Shurikenjutsu Rank: D-Rank(Variable stamina) Class: Offensive/Supplementary Range: Variable AoE
Description: A simple addition to Inakamono juggling as sometimes it's just not possible to hit your opponent dead on but you really need to land your Hormonal field on them. Thus with the application of more stamina than usual, the hormonal field will instead explode out from the projectile although this needs to be paid per projectile, meaning it is quite taxing to do over and over again. The AoE is determined by how much stamina is paid while the duration the hormonal field lingers for is determined by rank.

Description: Archery isn't for everyone, nor is it the easiest style to pull off, the user has to be innately perceptive a cut above the rest and with A-rank+ Reaction they are easily able to track targets moving at Vacuum Release speeds while without succumbing to motion blur. Those of the junsuina style are rarely caught of guard and even when they are they are able to reflexively move at A-rank speeds often drawing their bow and stringing an arrow in the time it takes for their other samurai counterparts to get close enough to engage them in combat if they aren't within Contact distance.
