Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Empty
PostSubject: Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1   Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Icon_minitime25th May 2020, 10:32 am

The participants of the fight would be herded into metal boxes that had no windows or any way to look out of them, in fact they even seemed to shut off additional forms of sensory. The boxes were then lifted up and carried away to the fighting stage.

As the boxes hovered above the battlefield, a series of small messages would appear on the inside of the box in glowing blue font that spelled out what exactly was happening.

"You will be placed on a platform next to another individual. That is the person you are teamed with. The Finals are Cross-Team Doubles. Defeat the opposing team to win the round. Wins grant 2 points, Draws grant 1 point to each team, Losses count as 0 points. Battle starts in 5..."

The number then counted down, when it hit zero the first four combatants would drop onto the battlefield. The battlefield itself was comprised of 10 floating platforms around a massive orb of gravity chakra, moving on the platform was surprisingly difficult as it shifted and rotated with each step.

Elias and Aurielle dropped onto the platform at the south of the battlefield, standing only five feet apart and the boxes above them floated away. That was obviously the first team.

The second pair of boxes, one hundred feet ahead, dropped off Taliah and Raja onto their own platform. Immediately cheers and the like would sound from the outside of the battlefield as people watched on, excited to see the fights.

A klaxon then sounded out across the field, signalling the start of the first fight.

Auri had no idea how her plans of remaining in the background had gone so wrong, she didn't even remember how she ended up making it to the finals for the love of mediocracy! Now she was going to be forced to compete and when she got deposited on a floating platform she would glance over to her ally and would immediately feel like she wanted to throw up. Of all the people she could of been paired with why did she have to end up with a prodigy not to mention one with actual clan connections. She made it a point of notice to know who was who at this point of the exams, while she might not know what they could do she knew who were considered the cream of the crop, who were skilled genin and who were like her simply mediocre. This person was not one of them! She would actually feel her eyes tearing up in frustration and dismay she knew that she only had one option now that forfeiting wasn't in the cards she would have to try to survive and make it seem that the only reason why they'd win was because of him.

Another panic would resonate through her when she realized that she needed to make absolutely sure that she didn't let him save her to often, otherwise she might just end up in a shallow grave courtesy of his fangirls as main characters like him always attracted silly kunoichi who wanted a meal ticket. No she wouldn't fall into that trap despite his good lucks and the fact that he seemed like one of those shinobi that she could have babies with and retire without worrying about having to pay bills or having a roof over her head. Auri would shake her head vigorously as she could feel herself slipping into his orbit she didn't want to be close to anyone like that, she knew that the quickest way to defeat a main character was to go after their love interest and she knew if she ever got kidnapped she'd be dead! She would teeter in place throwing out her arms wildly as she almost lost her balance before patting herself down to make sure she hadn't dropped anything this was truly going to be a horrible fight, didn't they know she was afraid of heights!

Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1   Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Icon_minitime26th May 2020, 1:14 am

Today was the first round of the first fight in the finals. Jielko was fortunate enough to make it after hard competition and scrapping for points. During their intermission they all heard whispers about what the finals maybe like but unfortunately the information was different depending on who you’d ask. So, to be safe they just prepared themselves for anything.  Upon showing up to the arena they were each placed in what looked like a box.  Once in the box, Elias would notice that his senses were off, he couldn’t detect movement the same way he used to. Instead of panicking he’d remain calm and just whisper lyrics in hopes of distracting himself from the pressure and anxiety that this unknown brings. It wasn’t long before the box went away and he’d find himself on one of the floating platforms. “Meal ticket ticket meal ticket ticket, comma uh “, still whispering lyrics as he looked around scanning the field and noticing a young girl.

He’d get quiet and just stare at her. He didn’t recognize her at all and unlike most people he’d run into, she didn’t have anything particularly special about her. A matter of fact, Elias couldn’t look away from how unbelievably indistinguishable  she was.  He couldn’t even bring himself to an expression besides a blank stare at her.  Eli couldn’t even remember that he originally was expecting to see one of his teammates beside him. She stood there equally as quiet but her thoughts seemed very loud. He could definitely feel her gears turning in her head. He even thought that maybe if he stared at her long enough that she would speak first and maybe her voice would be an interesting one. However, starring at her didn’t do Elias any favors because then she looked a bit uneasy, which he’d only interpret as frustration. “Hm. She must’ve heard of me.”

Those were his only thoughts from her expressions. He figured that she must’ve wanted a better teammate. Maybe someone as capable as she clearly is. Elias didn’t know much about the ancestors of this current generation but he could guess from his last batch of opponents that she is probably no different. In fact, as he starred at her he’d notice that she didn’t have any special gear. Nothing with abilities it seems. “Oh wow, she made it this far with nothing special?” Yup there was no doubt that she was likely the most powerful person in the room. Her disappointment was justified and so Elias would tease defensively as if he knew she was thinking on him. He’d do this by simply placing his index finger on his lips signaling for silence. ” You’re thinking too loud.” He’d then grin playfully and face forward to check his opponents who have just arrived.

To prepare, he’d reach into his pocket and pull out a piece of rope to tie his dreads back and out of his face. While he’d do this his Gourd E materialized on his back and he’d look back over to his teammate for the day. Elias looks at her confused as the signal is given to begin. Seeing that she has not yet moved he’d move his head as if to signal her to go already! The first move was hers as the clear powerhouse of the room. What a questionable first impression.

Taliah cursed audibly when she and Raja were placed onto the platform. It was met with a disparaging rattles from Raja. She and her team had made it all the way to the finals, but she hadn't expected to be separated from them. Fear gripped her heart, but not really for herself. Raja wasn't equipped for combat, and before she had the help of her teammates to cover her companion, but now it was just them Stay here, Raja. If they defeat me, I'll forfeit. I can't have you getting hurt. There was a feeling of trepidation radiating down the pack bond but Taliah ignored it. She ran her hands across the smooth scales atop Raja's head and began to walk away from her.

She drew her swords and twirled them with a flourish, though her heart still beat uncertainly. It was two against one, which made her nervous, but she was protecting Raja so the fear she felt was less pronounced. She hadn't paid much attention to the other combatants in the exams but she did recognize the male as belonging to a clan. The girl, Taliah didn't remember, she was completely unremarkable. Taliah didn't moved carefully to the edge of the first platform, though she used average speed as she did so.

PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1   Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Icon_minitime29th May 2020, 10:00 pm

"A chance!" Auri thought to herself when she noticed that one of their opponents stepping forward while the other remained behind, as such she would volunteer herself to be the one to remain behind after all this would keep her involvement to the bare minimum and Elias could freely show off his stuff. So when he seemed to look at her expectantly Auri would start to hyperventilate as she really didn't want to have to be the one to fight she could barely walk on her platform and perhaps to prove this she would actually stumble and end up falling flat onto her face. "Ugh my tummy I think I'm going to be sick, d-do you think you could handle this one." Auri lied with a groan pretending she was nauseous and if he didn't buy well she would just have to pull the woman card and blame her poor performance this match on woman problems as he seemed to be the type of guy to immediately chicken out of that sort of conversation. Besides he seemed to be better than their opponent at least his main character aura was a bit more intense than the other one and she knew he would have a much better chance at fighting Taliah than she would.

Though if Raja decided to participate well then she would be forced to join in as well but she felt that she could make a mediocre showing if she fought against a pet rather than a person. Even though she heard rumors that some pets were actually considered to be full fledged shinobi with their own ranks and everything which was crazy enough that she believed if she lost they wouldn't hold it too badly against her.

Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1   Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Icon_minitime30th May 2020, 10:01 pm

The situation seemed to favor Elias and his teammate. At least from observation, his opponent looked unwilling to let their pet aid them in battle. Maybe it could’ve been  some sort of a strategy that they threw together. Therefore the situation looked like a handicap, two on one in Eli’s favor. But then as he turned his attention to his teammate, her first move was to fall on her face and then complain about a hurt stomach. This confused Elias for a moment as his opponent moved a little closer. Something felt calculating about his partner’s  sudden illness. “Of course, how could I not have seen this sooner?” , he’d think to himself as he now notices the positioning of the field and his opponents. Eli concluded that the pet whose left behind is actually observing the whole field and searching for opportunities to capitalize to end the match giving their team the victory. Why else would anyone enter such an intense competition unless they were very capable? Especially if they’ve made it this far.

Elias felt that he’d do well to remember that. Also with his partner showing her weakness so clearly this had to be her plan to secretly play back up while giving the opponent a false sense of confidence. Judging by the way their brave opponent moved closer it’s evidence that her plan is already working. “Damn how does she play everyone so well? Damn I’m so lucky”, he’d admire her quietly while playing along and now demonstrating his bad acting. “oh..oh noooo your stomach hurts?! Ah shit shit shit that means we are probably at a DISadvantage. How UNfortunate ! Oh well , I guess now I have to hope for the best and RUSH in... Here I go!”

Elias would then take off his shoes, allowing them to be digitized. He stood there for a minute letting his opponent get closer if she wished. He’d point his toe and move them in small circles, feeling the stone beneath his feet and  soon after he’d place his hands in his pocket and shoot straight up into the air at B-rank speeds. He’d move along the air with balance and precision as if he was air hopping from one end to another. For those with good perception small brownish prints would be left behind as he moved forward. His movements were smooth and rhythmic as he’d close in the gap between him and his opponent.

Surely there were easier ways for him to go about the match but this seemed to be the most educational approach. Once in somewhat of a close proximity to his opponent(at the edge of one platform ahead) he’d pull his right hand out of his pocket and load his signature spark hammer attack. He’d keep his eye fixed on his opponent and their weapon, trying to pick up on any information about their weapon or their style. Right before his landing, in a very Jielko fashion he’d twist in the air, materialize and release what looks like a blue fuma shuriken with his left hand . If his opponent was observant she’d know that the shuriken wasn’t aimed at her but at her pet. The weapon moved at C-rank speed but the idea was to put her in a situation which she had to choose and in turn give up some valuable information.

While the blade made its way to her pet, Elias’s weight causes him to land hard on his platform. Elias was able to keep balance and remain calm , knowing that he wouldn’t need to rely on the platform if the situation was worse. So as the weapon rushed towards its target, he’d aim his spark hammer at their platform made of stone. But for Taliah, he’d send a brown paw-print racing towards her at S-rank speeds intended to hit her in the chest. His goal was to see who she would protect. Elias would remain balanced and crouched as he observes. Hopefully his teammates plan was moving along smoothly, in case this in fact was a trap as she predicted. What a genius.

PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1   Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Icon_minitime4th June 2020, 1:50 pm

The girl had made a slow move from her starting platform to the next by the time her opponent got close and made his move. Taliah's eyes darted to the Fuma shuriken headed towards Raja and immediately moved into action. Her arm bolted out and tossed two kunai. It moved through the air at B-Rank speeds, colliding with the other weapon and hopefully knocking it off course.

As for the two attacks sent her way, Taliah leaped into a backflip at B-Rank Speeds away from the electric attack aimed at the platform she stood on. As she did, the Paw Print slammed into her chest. She probably would've been winded a bit if she had needed to breathe whatsoever. The speed of the attack transferred enough force to send her backward, though her speed and perception allowed her to land on her feet easily enough. Instead of moving to attack, she held her blade in a defensive position, placing herself between Raja and Elias.

Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1   Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Icon_minitime5th June 2020, 2:47 pm

Auri would get up from her position on the floor before looking at what was going on and trying to analyze what was going on for a bit before giving up after she figured that her teammate was winning. As such she would decide to try and help out a little bit holding out her hands as she summoned shuriken but she wouldn't throw them as she wanted to keep up her stance of not getting involved until Taliah's pet did but she was confident that her ally would be able to fight his opponent and potentially even win them this match. Most importantly she had kept her contribution to a minimum in a realistic way as now she could say she wanted to help but didn't feel like it was fair to double team someone, and thus they would say she had honor which for a kunoichi was a sign of weakness. This would cause them to doubt her skill and thus ensure that she wasn't sent on delicate (dangerous) missions and would instead relegate her to nice safe missions like filing paperwork or being a gate guard.

She could already see herself in the future as a career chunin sitting at a desk and being bored out of her mind all day while getting enjoyment at dashing the hopes of genin when they got D-rank missions. Occasionally she would get off of work and end up going to a bar with other chunin and eventually she would get hit on by one of those hot shot jonin or a cocky chunin so she could have her first sexual experience, obviously they would dump her for someone more glamorous but that was fine as she would thus appear suitably vulnerable for a less confident chunin to try and comfort her who she would end up in a long term relationship with. He would eventually propose and she would accept and get pregnant so she could retire and be a housewife raising her kids until they graduated from the academy and became adults whereupon she could spend the rest of her retirement in blissful anonymity. Eventually so long as they don't have any wars she could live a long uneventful life, but assuming they did end up in a war situation hopefully she would have gotten some sort of illness that would render her unable to return to active duty yet not bad enough that she couldn't have a normal civilian life. Then all she'd have to do is watch the war closely and promptly flee as a refugee if things got too bad, but if not then she could just ride it out and eventually she would live a long life and die at the ripe old age of 85, outliving her more main character comrades by about 30 to 50 years.

Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1   Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Icon_minitime6th June 2020, 12:09 am

After a quick exchange, Elias landed in his low stance on the same platform mentioned earlier within 10ft from Taliah(paw-prints max range). He’d rise from this position and observe his opponent’s stance and positioning. A sudden look of disbelief crossed his face when his opponent decided to go on defense. He had anticipated that she would come at him with her best attacks. But as much as he pride himself as a strategist he had to admit that everything he thought would happen had not. The surprise wasn’t that he was wrong though. The surprise was that his partner was RIGHT. Everything that she had communicated to Elias was happening right now. The paw-print had made contact with Taliah’s chest and all though D-rank spiritual damage wasn’t really damage at all , a charge was still established.

Knowing this, Elias launched himself at S-ranks speeds with brown paw -prints from his feet towards their platform. While doing this he’d waved his right hand towards himself. When he’d do this Taliah would feel an intense pain in her chest and be pulled with A-rank force at S-rank speeds towards the ground in-front of Eli.  He’d back up a bit  to give Taliah room to fall to the ground assuming this is successful. At this point there’s almost no reason to doubt her. Unless prevented Taliah will be dealt B-rank(scaled down to be non lethal) earth release internal hybrid damage in her chest area. Fortunately none of it was near vital organs so Elias wasn’t too troubled on using such a move.  This should be enough damage to incapacitate her.  He imagined that this match would be over so he returned his fuma shuriken into his digital storage and then crouched down to speak with Taliah. He’d start with a deep sigh,   “Hm. You’re a good person. I’m guessing you were trying to keep your buddy safe. Sorry it had to go down this way”. He’d look back at his partner standing there doing absolutely nothing less than exuding  alpha vibes. The same vibes you’d see in a great leader or war general; main character vibes to its fullest. He’d look  back to Taliah,” Just look at her over there. Standing there with no intention of get involved just KNOWING her plan would work out to a T. She’s the single most exceptional shinobi and I must follow her if I hope to get through these finals. Please forgive me for the pain.  ”

She played them like pawns. All Eli had to do was follow her instructions of hitting the opponent in the stomach area, “my tummy hurts” is how she described it.  Elias didn’t expect to hit his opponent at all but to have the entire exchange end with the opponent in the same position as she was earlier and be in pain? Her predictions were as good as foresight.

Taliah was pulled form her starting platform to the one Elias was standing on forcefully, and sustained the damage from his technique. But his one miscalculation came with the assumption that she would be incapacitated by this maneuver. As she rocketed through the air she moved her hands to her torso, looking as though she were clutching herself or preparing for impact, however she was actually pressing specific points on her body.

At this level there was no physical indication, but as she came to the ground before Elias her feet lanced out and slammed into it forcefully, the girl using her perception, enhanced speed and now augmented strength to stop just before him. Her hands came to the sword at her side and her muscles flexed, drawing the weapon from its sheath while also augmenting its range with her Displacement Aura. She aimed a cut at Elias' chest, looking to incapacitate him quickly and efficiently as she was trained to do.

Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1   Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Icon_minitime11th June 2020, 2:37 pm

Clasping her hands together Auri would see that things weren't exactly open and shut for them but she figured something like that would happen it was the chunnin exams after all and she would manifest shuriken with puffs of smoke using the seals adorning her wrists as she decided while she wouldn't stand out she could help just a little bit. When the smoke cleared it would reveal her hands being apart with weaponry tucked in the proper places within her fingers and thus she would throw forward four shuriken each of them moving at bullet release speeds and heating towards Taliah's pet. She would then make hand seals before cupping one of her hands to her face and expelling flames which would engulf two of the shuriken with said fireballs before the fireballs would begin to weave among themselves to confuse the pet as to which possesses the shuriken and which didn't, this would result in five projectiles hurtling towards Raja three of which were on fire, four of which were shuriken and two of that number which were both of the former.

She knew she was a distraction, but that was the important part of the plan she didn't intend on hurting the pet but she figured there might be a reason he was keeping back just like she was. Perhaps Raja was meant to hang back and not involve himself due to a bigger stratagem, maybe he was like her and didn't like the spot light or perhaps in this duo he was the far lesser threat and this girl had actually neglected to train him? If that was the case then making the play would serve as a distraction perhaps even enough to throw Taliah off her game enough for Elias to score a win for them. Auri really wasn't going to make this a habit indeed in the grand scheme of things perhaps it could even be seen as an error of judgement of overconfidence due to having perceived victory was nigh. But then again if that was what the judges saw then that was too her benefit, she didn't want them to get any ideas that she didn't join in the battle because she was confident that Elias would win without her help, well she was but that was besides the point, they needed to think that she could only fight someone when she had the backing of someone powerful which would make her worth as an individual kunoichi lowered in their eyes, which was fine by her. "Kuku- Damn it, I need to stop laughing like a main antagonist, a simple hihi would work it's a nice and cute laugh." Auri would begin to internally laugh before scolding herself as she moved her hands in preparation for her follow-up.

PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1   Chunin Exam Finals: Round 1: Fight 1 Icon_minitime11th June 2020, 4:21 pm

What a miscalculation. Elias was almost positive that an attack of that scale would’ve easily taken his opponent out, but he was wrong and his opponent was determined to make him pay for it. It was an epic sight. Elias’ great pull brought Taliah towards the pull point with A-rank force. Taliah then used her A-rank strength to meet the ground with greater force than the platform could handle.  As the ground broke away, Elias’ eyes beheld the picture perfect sight of Taliah covered in a powerful aura and ready to drive her sword straight across his chest. Eli’s partner may have seen the same thing and chose to create a distraction with a well timed attack to possibly pull Taliah’s attention back to her pet, but Elias wasn’t worried. He’d instead find himself impressed by the fight in Taliah’s eyes. “ What is the way of the shinobi? Is this what it means to endure?”, his only thoughts as a wicked smile crosses his face. This moment happened in an instant naturally but internally felt almost like slow motion.

Taliah’s blade would be met with Eli’s impressively hard skin and not even leave a scratch. The platform however came tumbling down quickly, leaving both of them airborne. The close proximity allowed Eli to deliver a Dirty-Paw print slap across Taliah’s face at  SS-rank speeds. . Much like before the paw print would only deal D- rank spiritual damage to her face but the S-rank of force will send her crashing hard onto that random platform and take the B-rank of hybrid damage. With attacks heading towards her pet and another charge possibly being established on her face now would be a good time to forfeit.

While everything went heading towards the ground, Elias seemed to remain leveled to the ground that he once stood. He’d pull this trick off by using a B rank of lodestone powder to serve as a platform for him to stand. This platform came forth at S-rank speeds mere seconds after slapping Taliah. Eli stood there embarrassed that he had fumbled in the execution of His teammate’s plan. His teammate must be completely done with him by now, as prodigies usually are.  Eli would hope that Taliah forfeits by now before his teammate gets really angry and unleash a wrath on the three of them.

Taliah was focused on taking down her opponent and unknowingly left Raja open for an attack. The scorpion was an intelligent creature, as all Hokkai pets were, and she knew that she was no match for trained Shinobi. Taliah had shielded her from the dangers of battle for far too long, but that would change after this exam, she needed to be able to help her pack when they were in danger. Help herself when she was in danger. Luckily the shinobi girl was far enough away, and her attacks moved at such speeds that Raja was able to shift slightly to the right at D-Rank- Speeds. This would make it so that, hopefully, they would only be struck by two of the projectiles rather than all of them.

Raja:

Meanwhile Taliah was having more of a difficult time. She knew that her opponent had skills that could outpace her when it came to speed, but she was hoping that his defense was lacking enough to allow her to land the blow. Her keen vision allowed her to see the strange feather like markings form across his person in the blink of an eye, and while her strike landed he was completely unaffected. Then, he was striking out with that Paw Print attack once more and forcing her backwards, crashing into a platform and falling. And she couldn't fly. Fear gripped her as she plummeted downwards as, even though she couldn't feel pain, the prospect of falling to her death was a terrifying one "I SURRENDER!!!!!" She screamed out, though she could only feel the vibrations her vocal chords made and not the sound, hoping one of the proctors would catch her.
