Wolf King would be walking casually before his world suddenly would go dark his instinct telling him to get out of this situation the only way he knew how resulting in him utilizing Tsuga to drill upward into the air using the revolution speed to break free of the earth technique which was attempting to swallow him whole. Once free and in the air he would scan the area seeing that there were three opponents in the distance causing him to fall downward into a Tenga rolling towards them at Vacuum Release speeds intending on grinding them to paste. His primary concern was eliminating the threats of course so he hadn't stopped to think that maybe the ambush wouldn't be that easy, then again he was smart enough not to go ahead with another Tsuga instead opting for the multi-use Tenga to give him an effective offense and defense.

Laxus was lounging on his sunflower as the three of them talked amongst themselves when he noticed Ka coming in, rather angry it seemed, his hand raised to hit Laxus. His plants began to stir, as if feeling Laxus's killing intent at the prospect of being hit by someone on his own team. Just as the plants around him were getting ready to intercept and...deal with...Ka, Sylvia interrupted his thoughts, There's something below us! Sylvia reported urgently, Laxus opened his mouth to warn his teammates before Sylvia interjected again, Three more spotted several feet away. Of course they had no idea they were clones, but she knew they were there. Two teams? No, that can't be right...but what if? Laxus thought to himself as the ground beneath both Ka and King seemed to shift and move unexpectedly, Shit, already?

The sunflower extended to its full height, Laxus standing on the flower and petals part, getting a view for the three in the distance. Beneath him King exploded from the earth that had attempted to consume him earlier and seemed to set his sights on the three in the distance. We've got three out there and some beneath us as well. Don't do anything too rash, I have a bad feeling about this. Laxus wasn't quite sure what to do himself, he needed to get everyone within his garden, but he didn't know who was who or where exactly these attacks were coming from. If they stayed here they might just be sitting ducks, but if they attacked the three in the distance, would that just be another attack. He wasn't going to leave his garden, he'd wait it out and take them out as they came to him.

Just as Ka was about to slap Laxus upside the head, he felt a set of hands grabbing at his ankles and started to pull him down rather slowly in his opinion. His mind could only really think of two options to be rid of this enemy, but the one would cause quite a bit of Damage to his team mates if they couldn't react fast enough. So just as he was being pulled down Ka grabbed his katana and sliced at the hands on his legs at S rank speeds in an attempt to remove his new opponents hands.

Ka would indeed slash the hands however as he did so a fist would emerge from the ground to impact the upper part of his body as it burst from the ground, originally the combo was to just squish his head while he was drawn underground however this likewise worked nicely. Now Ka would have to choose of course slash either the hand to avoid being pulled under yet risk having his face and chest punched with B-rank strength or slash the golem yet risk his body being pulled under ground.

The Clones in the distance would pause all except one however with it running forward at Vacuum release speeds eager to meet Xander's incoming Tenga upon getting hit however it would instead of crumbling detonate sending shrapnel and explosive physical damage outward within a 10 foot radius. The other two would hand back in case he continued onward both going through hand seals as if they were making a combination technique. In reality two of the opponents were doing such a combo underneath the ground to pawn a dragon comprised of Earth+Life Release chakra accompanied by a sea serpent comprised of liquid crystal both in front of the Earth clones. The two would meld together creating a serpentine dragon with it's skeleton comprised of life, it's body mainly comprised of earth by coated in liquid crystal giving it a demented appearance albeit the pale pink sheen of the liquid crystal comprising its body. It would roar before releasing a jet of pale yellow-green liquid crystal which would sweep across the area at vacuum release speeds.

Wolf King would be shocked out of his Tenga by the explosion thankfully being unharmed however that shock was what allowed him to stop and think instead of making a rash action. He would see the two creatures before doubling back as they formed together and when they spit out their liquid crystal he would blur into a quick Tsuga to get to higher ground to land on one of the taller mangroves standing on the top most branch so he didn't succumb to the danger below. That...isn't good at all. King said out loud thinking about what his next course of action could even be, he could try a Roga but he was afraid that the revolution would cause the liquid to spin around his body which wouldn't end well. However Cyrus mentioned something about their being opponents below ground, in that case why would they risk burying themselves under the crystal. Unless that was the strategy, make the ground inaccessible and thus they would be free of any counter attack while we have to deal with that dragon of theirs. Wolf King thought to himself a frown appearing on his face, he had techniques but he wasn't even sure a Fang Fist would be enough to put a dent in that thing, in his opinion their best bet was to make a tactical retreat. Unless one of the other two could deal with something that massive as he couldn't.

Laxus, your teammate! Sylvia warned suddenly interrupting her host's thoughts, I've got it. He said, gritting his teeth as chakra strings appeared from the finger tips on his left hand. They would shoot down and attach to Ka as Laxus pulled back, causing Ka's body to react as he instructed it to and Ka would in turn jump away from the Golem's fist. If the hands hadn't released when he slashed them, they would now as Laxus yanked his teammate free. He would use the threads to move Ka's body up to the Dandelion he was standing on. Looking to the distance where King was, Laxus spotted a massive serpentine dragon spewing a very unhealthy looking vapor across the area. Come on, we need to move. He said to Ka before jumping back to a regular tree stuck standing out of the swamp.

He made a hand seal and his garden was sealed away once more, away from any harm. King, let these chakra strings attach to you! They'll help you escape, we need to move. We'll regroup and come up with a plan once we're far enough away. Laxus said as he used his other hand to throw more chakra strings towards King's back. If King allowed him them to attack, Laxus would give them a tug, forcing his body to flee from the toxic vapor the dragon was spewing and follow Laxus and Ka away from the area and deeper into the swamp. Sylvia, bring back our scouts as fast as possible. Laxus instructed his green ant queen, but he knew some of his scouts were already lost to that dragon's attack.

Oh what fresh new hell was this? It would appear as Ka was in the middle of removing his katana from it's sheath that a giant fist attatched to some mud doll was coming right at him, looked like it was ready to pummel the poor jiko. That is until a smirk came across face as he calculated how long until he was sucked under the earth, and how long before the fist came crashing into him. Guess he would have to go with plan B after all, could be worse though to be perfectly honest. So after a quickly shift in angle with his wrists, Ka was capable of continuing his previous attack. However this time his target was the golem's fist in a high arcing motion, leaving his arm outstretched above him sword in hand.

As quickly as the attack happened, Ka let go of his katana and focused his displacement aura all around his hand before attempting to slam it into the ground in order to set his second plan in motion. His other free hand hand just grabbed a hold of the chain attatched to his katana when his body had frozen up with his hand mere inches from the surface of the swamp. What sorcery is this? Ka thought to himself as his body would then on it's own rip itself from the grasp of the hands pulling him into the earth. If only he had trained more with his taijutsu, maybe then all of this wouldn't have even mattered. Anywho no time to dwell on the past as his body moved up to where Laxus was located, Ka was able to get a better read out of the situation and knew instantly that his jutsu would have been able to turn the tides, which kind of infuriated Ka. Seemed that he may yet have to move onto his second objective if this person was going to be a hinderence to Ka's goal. Strike Two

The hand he cut would crumble into earth as it would seem that the hands were an Earth Clone all along, the Golem would he sliced however it's body would quickly come back together and it would move to slap the distracted Ka with it's massive open palm before his body would be suddenly jerked upward denying it of it's kill. It would turn before looking at the plant that Laxus and Ka were now on top of before running forward at it's top speed and attempting a running tackle trying to knock the plant off base. Meanwhile the liquid would pour over the ground things becoming crystallized at a rapid base, the swamp even the trees it would seem Wolf King picked a bad place to stay as the tree itself would rapidly begin to crystallize as the liquid crystal came in contact with the trunk. However it would seem he would be saved as Laxus shot the chakra strings to his body however there was still the possibility that he wouldn't even be able to get there in time.

The Serpentine dragon would move, and despite its massive size it was quite mobile slithering against the ground at blinding light speeds to pursue them, thankfully it was a construct of chakra it didn't have to worry about becoming fatigued rather it could afford to chase them moving at full speed across distances. Seeing that the group would retreat backward it would whip it's head upward before releasing it's grip from the ground causing it to take flight into the air attempting to use it's bulk to knock them off balance when it eventually hit the ground with a loud thump. It was quite massive so it was quite possible if they didn't have some form of strength they'd just stumble leaving them vulnerable or perhaps even worse twist an ankle and leave them unable to run from the liquid crystal lake.

Wolf King didn't see any other option, it was time to pull out the big guns, he would let Laxus take control of his body only to grant him lift into the air using that momentum Wolf would move his hands moving into two circles quickly as he would begin to rotate the increase in his physical abilities hopefully not pulling his allies along with him. Due to him being fused with King this whole time it had allowed him to do something completely unknown to his allies, that thing which he did was activate his curse seal a while back and due to the time that he had spent fighting it had steadily advanced revealing his body coated with scales and fins Hokkai Secret Technique: Twisting Double Fang Fist. King shouted, making the technique name up on the spot because it sounded mighty impressive, perhaps he would think about making it into an actual technique later but for now, it would do. What he had done in essence was take the rapid revolution speed of the Roga technique using the fact that his target was incoming at blinding light speeds against it, he would take it head on however he was using the wild vortex to blow away the liquid crystal just long enough that his hands would make an impact with the earth release body the impact resulting in the serpentine snake having it's head seemingly bitten off by massive jaws.

If it worked it would mean the serpent would be destroyed and Wolf King would continue the revolution into the air before stopping mainly trusting Laxus with the ability to reel him into safety, if he didn't Wolf King obviously had a plant to avoid plummeting to the ground and into the liquid death. If it didn't work then he would have to take it to the next level to forcibly end the technique

Laxus looked back as he darted across broken tree tops and over the swamplands beneath him, dragging Ka along all the way. He felt the strings attach to King and looked back to watch the man somehow bypass the control of his chakra strings, sending the dragon's technique back at it. Holy crap. Laxus muttered before looking down at the tree King had been standing on and seeing it crystalize quickly, heading up towards him as well. Giving a tight tug on the rope, Laxus would drag Wolf King along with Ka before reaching a relatively safe distance away from the earth release users. Breathing slightly heavier than usual, Laxus finally stopped running and ended his technique, giving his comrades free use of their bodies once again before dropping onto a fallen tree trunk to relax and catch his breath for a moment. What...the hell...was that? Laxus said in between breaths before recovering and looking at his teammates. Whoever they are, they've barricaded themselves underground, so now what? Should we go and dig them up or head out in search of another team?

Ka was dragged through the trees by his temporary team mate Laxus, examining the crystals as they seemed to swallow the swamp, slowly growing more and more infuriated by the strength of their new enemies. That or the lack of strength within his own team? Soon they seemed to stop so they they could catch their breath from running, guess that was a perk of being a cypher, no respritory system to manage. With full use of his limbs again, Ka made a set of hand seals and two clones apeared on either side of him. I say we have our targets, but they are too well organized, possibly shogunate shinobi. Our only way is to lead them into a trap Ka said stepping forward towards his team while the clones looked around the swamp looking for their assailants as best they could. Wolf boy and myself are more suited to close combat, so we can be a diversion while Bugsy over here send out his little friends to look for anything, I mean anything to help us get an edge over these guys. If they find anything useful or even trap worthy set it up, I'll have one of my clones cover you in case shit hits the fan.

That wasn't something they expected usually when they threw out their combination technique it was game over, no one could win against it due to it's sheer power and overall defensive capabilities, but this was one instance where it hadn't come through for them meaning they would have to go back to the original strategy. Earth clones would emerge out of the ground each rocketing up at Vacuum release speeds totaling ten in number. Two of them would aim for Wolf while three would aim for Ka the rest all shooting towards Laxus. This was done in order to attempt to pin down the opponents or at least distract them so that they didn't notice the liquid crystal on the ground drawing into itself as what remained of the serpentine dragon splashed into it. Using that distraction one of them would create a Flowing Crystal Sea Serpent who would remain partially hidden within the liquid crystal coating the ground. Meanwhile the Earth Golem would continue with it's destruction of the bone forest that wasn't yet crystallized.

A combination technique, I saw two techniques before they fused into the serpentine dragon. But Ka is right, and I do not want to have to hit that thing again, hopefully it was a one use only sort of deal otherwise next time I'm just going to flee. Either way they can't afford to keep pushing out chakra like that most likely it was their trump card and now they don't have one, we can keep stalling them until they don't have chakra and hopefully we can capitalize on that. Do you think you can send some of your insects underground the crystal couldn't of sunk that far in otherwise they would be screwed by their own technique. Wolf King said before his ears would twitch and he would look around using his increased vision to his advantage. Tch...incoming. Be careful they blow up. he said before he would wait until they got closer to him before spinning into a Tenga to rend them apart while the defensive nature of the attack would most likely protect him if they decided to explode again.

OOC: I sealed away my forest last post before we started to move, just as an FYI as far at the golem goes.

Laxus turned his head to Ka for a moment after he was done speaking, calling him Bugsy and Wolf King Wolfie, Laxus said, Don't take this the wrong way, but the more time I'm around you, the more I detest you. He then turned his attention back to the flowing crystal that was encroaching on them. His eyebrow piqued up in surprise and confusion as he watched the earth golem in the distance rampaging through the swamp smashing...apparently nothing.

As Wolf King finished talking, Laxus raised a hand to his chin, thinking for a moment before looking at the ground beneath the tree he was standing on, Laxus nodded, Yeah, yeah I think I can send some down there, they might be able to locate them. As he stood on the tree, a dozen green and another dozen black ants would crawl down his pant leg and drop onto the tree top before continuing down the trunk of the tree and burrowing into the earth, luckily the three of them had moved away from the flowing crystal earlier so there was plenty of regular earth for the ants to burrow into.

Laxus's head snapped up, out of thought as Wolf King announced the incoming enemies. Blow up, huh? Delightful. Laxus said to himself as he pulled out Scarlet Rose and got ready for his five clones to get within range for what he was planning. Laxus...the crystal...it's acting weird. Sylvia warned through the hive mind. Okay well just keep an eye on it, but focus on the ants we just sent down, we need to find those guys and then have Ariagnae exterminate them.

Returning his attention to the incoming clones, Laxus jumped into the air at Vacuum Release speeds to meet the first one head on before thrusting his sword forward towards the clone. Upon making contact a shockwave would be generated that would knock away not just that clone, but the other four that had attacked with it, most likely protecting Laxus from any explosions they might generate. Meanwhile, the green and black ants would be making their way through the earth, deep below the surface and away from the fray. The green ants would be leading, using their vibrations to locate the three enemies, primarily searching for a hole in the earth, or cavernous room that the three would have to be hiding in.

Well this was certainly turning out to be far more then he had bargined for, not to mention his team seemed to disrepect him. Hell they hadn't really introduced themselves to each other yet, so of course he would have to make up humerous names for them. However he would notice his one team mates ears twitch and knew instantly that the other team was here, and apparently in force as well. Watching these clones come at him was pretty enertaining for Ka and his own two clones, however they would have to be dealt with in due time. The two clones followed his team mates, while Ka charged at his own opponents running along the log. As his clones caught up to Wolf and Laxus, and Ka neared his opponents all three spoke in Unison. These ones are mine

With that the clone following Wolf would clap his hands together to reveal a ball of pure chakra in his hands. Then after wolf made his Attack, the clone would make a final leap at SS rank speeds towards Wolf. Then as the clone was right there, he would thrust his hand forward in an attempt to strike his team mate with the rasengan from behind. At the same time the clone following Laxus would slash at the base of his neck at S rank speed hopefully un-noticed in order to eliminate his second team mate. Thats right people, the mole had now revealed himself, and the Original Ka would leap into the air at S rank speed in order to completely evade the three earth clones aiming for him.

The earth clones would be shred by the hokkai technique before exploding Wolf King was protected by his Tenga but smoke and rock chunks would fill the air. Similarly when Laxus struck the clones the shockwave would spread outward knocking them all flying and resulting in each one of them likewise exploding forming a ring of explosions around Laxus who thankfully was not within range of the blasts. The flowing sea serpent took that time to move while the Golem would jump upwards before it was flicked by the sea serpents tail to head straight towards the original Ka at Blinding light speeds. Thanks to the original leaping into the air unless he had some sort of air movement he would completely be unable to avoid the rocketting Earth Golem heading towards him. The Flowing Sea serpent would take that opportunity to shoot up into the air to reveal itself roaring outward trying to be a distraction while the squad formulated their plan completely unaware that their were ants homing in on their joint locations about 15 feet below the surface.

Smoke wasn't a good thing, Wolf King knew that from experience and would move from the Tenga into a Roga spinning rapidly to clear the smoke, this would have the added affect of shredding the clone behind him before it got close enough to deliver the Rasengan behind him. As a result he would narrow his eyes before snarling in anger mainly because he didn't see that betrayal happened, well his former teammate would now pay in blood. He would scan the area thankful that his vision was enhanced before falling to the ground while Wolf would begin to open her gates. The first, the second, the third, the fourth, the fifth, it seemed like it was enough he would capitalize on the Sea Serpent heading towards the original Ka by blurring into a Roga boosted thanks to her gates to much higher speeds so that he could jut one of his hands forward. Spiraling Fang Fist. Wolf King's attack was done to take the interval that Ka would attempt to possibly dodge or attack the flowing Sea Serpent to strike him.

Laxus, behind us! One of them has betrayed us. Ariagnae warned as Ka's clone drew his sword and came in towards Laxus's back. As Laxus's blade touched the first clone, he twisted it slightly at an angle so when the shockwave went off, sending the clones flying backwards, it would also spin his own body around. Using the momentum combined with the gap between himself and Ka's clone, Laxus would have enough time to meet the sword and counter it. As the blade swung around, sparks would fly between the two swords, but that wasn't all. As he spun, Laxus had readied another Insect Repellent. Upon the two swords clashing, another shockwave would be emitted from his blade, sending the clone flying away from him. As this would happen, the earth clones he had dispatched before would explode behind him as well, making for a pretty cool movie-like scene if he did say so himself. What the hell is going on? Where is King? Laxus asked his hive mind as he would drop down to the ground again. King seems to be dealing with the other clone, as far as I can tell he doesn't seem to have turned on us. We should still tread carefully though. Sylvia said and Laxus nodded, Got it, thanks for the save Ariagnae. Sylvia, how are our soldiers doing?

There was a long pause as Laxus surveyed the area around him, noticing the golem had left from the spot it had been rampaging in before. He briefly wondered where it might have gone before Sylvia's voice interjected into his mind once again, They've located what appears to be a hollowed out area about 15 feet below them, shall I have them investigate? Laxus nodded once again, Yes, and Ariagnae, I want your soldiers going for the kill. I've had enough of them and right now we have bigger fish to fry. Laxus said, tightening his grip on the handle of Scarlet Rose, his anger at the deceit of his teammate palpable to the shared consciousness of the chimera ant queens. Understood. Ariagnae replied. Down below the green chimera ants would advance downward towards what they believed to be the three earth release users. Upon locating the hollowed out earth, they would surround the room before switching places with the black chimera ants and allowing them to enter the earth users' location. Once there they would generate a blaze tornado that, even if it didn't kill the three of them, would rob the entire area of any and all oxygen, resulting in the quick suffocation of anyone unfortunate enough to be in that room.

Unseen to well, them Ka would raise his hand in order to forfeit leaving King in the path of the Flowing Sea Serpent and the flying Golem, luckily for him Laxus strike hit home and the group of shogunate shinobi were taken by surprise and promptly burn up in the flaming tornado causing the Flowing Sea Serpent to scatter and the golem to crumble into dust as their creators were now dead. That would give team A their second victory and even though the battle was won there were no proctors to tell them so. Meaning they would have to find their way back to the clearing where they all started. Figured Jonin not exactly being led around and all not to mention somee would choose to stay behind to even out the competition even more than before. When one thought about it, it made sense, either way it was another team that was ready for round 2, perhaps they would get lucky next round and it wouldn't be team based or perhaps they wouldn't either way it was time to move on.

It would seem his betrayer decided to forfeit after his sneak attack was unsuccessful, that was..surprising especially since right after Laxus seemed to have dealt with the other team, Ka could of just waited and everything would of been fine but apparently he couldn't trust in his allies abilities like Wolf King had. Seeing that the dangwer was over for the most part he would end his gates prematurely thankfully unlike going through the full use of his technique the bad effects wouldnt' come into effect yet. Allowing Wolf King to slow his revolution a bit and touch down on one of the non crystallized trees. He would wait for Laxus' confirmation that the job was done and once he got it he would nod before pointing towards the location of the camp having kept track of it. Once Laxus was done with whatever he needed to get done Wolf King would head out better to travel in a group rather than be ambushed by those teams who had not yet qualified.

Laxus would smile as the golem and serpent shattered into dust and instead of crashing into Wolf King, simply flew over him. He'd be a little dirty, but none worse for the wear. Targets eliminated, they'll be returning shortly. Ariagnae said as Laxus smiled at a job well done. Excellent work everyone, bring them all back, our scouts included Sylvia. He said, waiting for the green and black ants that had disappeared below ground to rejoin him on the surface and enter the hive once again. The scouts would begin making their way back as well, but there was no point in waiting for them as they would meet up with Laxus as he walked back to the starting point of the marshlands. Shame about Ka...sort of. Ready to go? Laxus asked before taking off at a leisurely pace of Crashing Ground speeds, confident that Wolf King could keep up if not surpass him.
