| He Understood The Greater Good ” The street was covered in smoke, but as far I am from the door, I could see them. He was .. covered in blood and his body was barely moving, but he wailed! He sounded like he was in so much pain, it’s been hours now there’s no way he could still be… “ The scene opens up to reveal shinobi gathered around a table. Everyone was standing around the table which only came up about four feet from the ground. At one side of the table was Seiko, Jinnouchi, Kotone, Tagaikai, and Kaili. On the other side was Diana, Indra, Sidonie, Auri, Kozzen, and Mei. Most of these talents haven’t been in such proximities since the chuunin exams over a year ago. But instead of catching up with small talk the focus was at the head of the table. There stood two witnesses and an overseer. The first witness who spoke was very shaken up, even though he was a shinobi as well. Before he could even speak death unto the captive’s condition, he’d be stopped by the second witness. Her demeanor was calm and confident. It was obvious that the captive meant a lot to both of them, but she had to carry on where he couldn’t to ensure that they’ve given a fair account of what they saw. ” There was about five of them. Four of which I could not see their faces, but the one I could see has a face that I would know anywhere. “ She’d look towards the overseer as if he would know the name she was about to say. ” It was Tieros. He’s betrayed our people and has taken our symbol of hope. Our pursuers had last spotted him heading towards The Scapegoat.” ” The Shinpikage confirmed that the beast is awake, are you sure they went in there?’ The overseer responds with a question seemingly confused by why anyone would willingly enter such a death trap. ” If he’s to have any chance of leaving it would be through Azazel. Tieros is one of the few Medad still capable of navigating that labyrinth so if we are to save the SOM then we must go, now.” The overseer would take a deep breath and then exhale loudly as he looked across the table. “Well... I’m sure you lot have already deducted that we’re in some deep shit. For those of you who still don’t understand why you’re assigned to this mission, well here’s the skinny. A few hours ago, around sunset, your fellow graduate, Elias DARK’s parents Josaiya Kaironokuma and Himiko-Armina DARK had been brutally murdered in their home.” He’d light a cigarette and take a deep pull and then release. The first witness much like everyone else was focused in on the overseer, but this time also fighting back some violent coughing. ” They were also some of our higher ranked shinobi. Elias had been dragged from his home and the rest is speculation. As you heard, he was last seen with heavy wounds being carried by a group of Medjay defectors led by a man named, Tieros. He’d begin to place photos of the crime scene and a headshot photo of Tieros. ” We've been keeping track of him for a while. He’s been making unsolicited visits to different villages and has been playing a political hand in civil affairs. Ciaoshin and Meiani are also from that culture and have been serving the greater good as our spies. So that meeting that you kids decided to have, let’s just say it’s a good thing that the verdict was on the side of peace.” He’d shoot a look at Jinnouchi, Kotone, and Mei knowing that they knew what he was talking about. ” Ever since that Medjay Messiah mess started whispering about we’ve been keeping a watchful eye on your boy as well. Weekly updates from your sensei Clio made sure that we didn’t miss a beat. But Elias proved us wrong and sided with peace. Tieros on the other hand wanted chaos, so now we are at a brink of a civil war. In our own fucking house, can you believe that? His people believe it was us, who assassinated his parents, and they believe Elias is dead. He very well might be but if there’s a chance to save him, then we must take it. I assume you lot would be the best fit for the job. So, lace up because this is your first big mission. “ Ciaoshin couldn’t hold his cough any longer and started to let them out violently because of the smoke in the room. Meiani would pat his back and then help soothe him. The overseer then moved all the photos and documents out of the way and revealed a blueprint of outer Nazogakure. He’d use this to give the group visual directions of what to do. ” Ciaoshin and Meiani are also expert navigators and will help you move about Azazel safely. To my right will be Squad A and to my left, Squad B. Due to his leadership and maturity displayed in team Jielko; I’m naming Jinnouchi Tapir as leader of Squad A. Your guide will be Meiani, she will take you through the quickest route so that Seiko can provide the medical support Elias needs. The leader of Squad B will be Diana Erlang, her decisiveness and eye for detail will be much needed in intercepting the enemy. Your squad will be taking a longer route into The Scapegoat. One that isn’t well known even to the likes of Tieros. You’ll be led by Ciaoshin, they won’t see you coming. Waste no time, bring Elias back home, and bring me the head of Tieros Saizori. “Both Ciaoshin and Meiani both bowed exiting the room at B-rank speeds to wait for their squads on the outside. With this determined group of talent, maybe hope isn’t lost. - Rules:

| Emotions were always distinctly difficult for Seiko to approach, they just didn't click quite properly with her. She felt them, or at least some of them, but they never really clouded her judgement or dug in too deep. Today however was a little bit different and a little bit unique, for as she stood in that room, smoke flitting around her, the feelings of others swirling, she stopped for a moment and realised that she was... Angry. A deep, indignant fury thrummed through her nerves, causing her to frown and shift her shoulders slightly from the rapt attention she was keeping, hands folded against her lower back, feet slightly apart. Some... Fools wounded the Republic, murdered high ranking shinobi and then kidnapped someone Seiko had respect for. She considered for a moment and realised she was right to feel angry and let the emotion stay, not that it showed on her face. She turned her head to look at Taigakai standing nearby, giving him a small nod to show she was ready to support him before turning back. She was wearing a simple, black skirt that was knee-length, a pair of tights and a buttoned shirt with a small blue and white bowtie at her neck. Over that sat a flak jacket and an overcoat that almost looked like a more slim fitting lab coat, white and edged in blue. Her Kohaigakure hat and dust cover were also on though she had folded the dust cover out of the way. Her flak jacket was festooned with various weapons although she wouldn't really need them, most of her power came from her Golems. After taking in the briefing, Seiko gave a short bow. "I'll ensure that he is returned alive or at least whole enough for a good burial, as he deserves." She said firmly, her voice cold despite the anger within her. She didn't understand sadness anymore but she would still do her best. With that done she flicked open the display of her Digitize and moved off to join her guide, running through various things in her head. Once with Meiani she looked up at the woman and adjusted her glasses. "I'm a Golem focus Rikigaku, I specialise in battlefield control and number advantages. I am also trained in basic medical techniques, although in such a situation, this is what you will want, the equivalent of a first responder. We will find him and bring to task those that took him." Hopefully her calm mannerisms would help with a sense of stability and trust but Seiko needed neither, she was prepared. With a flick of her hand, a large armoured figure dropped to the ground next to her, bytecode turning to steel in the air. It was Medium(S) currently, resting on one knee, fist against the ground. A large comb of white and blue horsehair sat on its helmet, the faceplate marked by a single horizontal slash and a pair of glowing blue eyes within. Seiko hopped up onto the Golem's back and kicked a slot open, a trio of Drives sliding out. She spent a few seconds creating small orbs from her own body and slotted them into the last Drive before closing it over. Immediately the Golem's body would groan slightly as it grew larger and mechanisms within set into place. "Primaris can probably carry one or two others, so the slowest of us get on." She told the team simply. With her prep done and some time given for people to climb onto Primaris, Seiko held onto his head, standing on his shoulder and sent him onwards, it was time for a rescue mission. - Info:

Description: The Physicka Archetype covers cores that specifically modify the body and shell of the Golem, enhancing its basic physical attributes. These cores are split four types within the Physicka Theory; the Form Core, the Reach Core, the Dash Core and the Shell Core. These cores are created from various methods and when created and the price given, a small sphere the size of a large baseball appears in the user's hand. With this done they are then able to place this within an Element Drive and grant the effects of the Core to the Element Drive and thus any Golem that it is implanted within.
Core Types:
Form Core - The Form Core is also known as the Size Core, it is created through pinning down or killing a person or creature of a size that one is looking to emulate. Upon doing so, the user places their hand upon the victim and draws forth the Core, a small glowing green metallic sphere. The first upgrade to Humanoid takes up 1 Core Slot and 1 C-Rank of chakra and each size upgrade from there takes a C-Rank of chakra and one half of a Core Slot, rounding up. So 3 full upgrades(Chibi->Humanoid->Medium(S)->Medium(M)) would cost 2 Core Slots and 3 C-Ranks of chakra.
Reach Core - The Reach Core is a rather simple one but potentially quite dangerous. This Core when added to a Golem enables the Golem to extend their physical strikes by a variable range, be it through elemental force or additional wires within the arms of the Golem. Additional reach is decided in 5 foot increments and in a ratio of 2:1 upgrades to Core Slots. Each size category a creature possesses above humanoid allows 5 feet of reach to be taken in core size. (For example, a Medium(L) creature would allow 15 feet of additional reach to be taken due to Medium(S), Medium(M) and Medium(L) for 1 and a half core slots). Each 5 foot range enhancement costs a C-Rank of chakra.
Dash Core - The Dash Core is a modification to the leg systems of a Golem through the power of the Element Drive, enabling a greater rate of movement. This can only be gained by taking it from a person or creature with a specific speed tier. D-Rank gives a 1x multiplier, C-rank gives a 1.5x multiplier up to S-Rank giving a 3x multiplier to movement. Each multiplier costs a C-Rank of chakra to gain and uses up a Core Slot, so a 2x multiplier is 3 Core Slots.
Shell Core - The Shell Core is the most defensive type of Core and is created through touching a creature or person with Defense Tiers. Each rank of defense tiers grants a C-Rank of additional durability that is needed to be overcome before the Golem is destroyed. Every 2 C-Ranks of durability granted takes up 1 Core Slot and every C-Rank of durability granted costs C-Rank chakra. This stacks to a max of an S-Rank of additional durability and thus 3 Core Slots per Core.
*Note, an Element Drive can only have one of a specific type of Core in it. If an Element Drive already has a Reach Core, another Reach Core cannot be added unless the first is removed.

Description: The second most powerful form of Golem that's readily available to Rikigaku members, the Hexa Golem packs a lot of punch in a small package. These are usually intricately detailed, more so than their weaker brethren and usually have some form of face rather than a blank face plate, although it is unique to each Rikigaku member. They possess B-Rank Strength and Defense tiers and can take up to an S-Rank of stacking damage before being destroyed. However their most dangerous aspect is that they possess three slots for Element Drives. As before, a single Drive grants C-Rank Endurance, tolerance to the element and elemental physical damage, two Drives upgrades that to B-Rank Endurance and Resistance if they are both the same element. With three Drives, the Golem gains A-Rank Endurance in addition to the normal Element Drive effects and if all three Drives are the same element, this is upgraded to both Tolerance and Resistance. The Hexa Golem also possesses an Overcharge mechanic, expressing all three of its Drives at once. This causes it to deal Elemental Chakra Damage of all three elements with its physical strikes, its elemental defenses are upgraded by one stage causing a Hexa Golem with all three Drives of the same element to become entirely Immune to that element. Lastly the Hexa Golem gains an elemental shroud, enhancing its striking distance by a variable number of feet based on the user's rank. When over, it goes on cooldown with its cooldown period being equal to its activation time.

| Sidonie was feeling a lot of things. Anger at the murders that took place within this village walls, under the nose of the people who were supposed to be watching and protecting those that served them. Sorrow at the loss of two lives that many shinobi looked to as pillars of the community. Fear for Elias' life, as no one knew when the cult (because that's what they sounded like, an insane cult) would decide that he wasn't the one they were looking for and killed him for it. She also couldn't ignore the curiosity. She was standing in the same room with those kids she had watched in the Chunin Exams, the ones that inspired her to pick back up her training. She was even going to save one of them. She decided it was best to ignore the slight undercurrent of excitement at the prospect of this mission, as it might look unprofessional given the circumstances. Sid wasn't wearing armor, like some of the others gathered. She never really had a need for it with her body. Instead she wore a pair of leggings and a strapless top that left her shoulders exposed, both black. She wore a puffy coat in a dull blue-grey color, and her ATs going along nicely with the semi-understated outfit. She had her hair long now, and blue all the way through, pulled into a high ponytail with a bang at the front. She had a bandolier strapped around her waist that held three scrolls and a small metal pole in one holster. She looked as likely to be going to a party as she was to be going on a mission. - Outfit looks something like this:
Once the brief was over, Sid nodded once to the Overseer "I know I'm not as used to active duty as other people here, but I'm glad you're giving me a chance to assist in this, sir. We'll bring Elias home, no matter what." That last part was more for her, as several dozen worst case scenarios filtered through her head. It seemed to work a bit, as now she was seeing more of them finding Elias in a good enough shape and returning him to the Republic. She tried to hold those in her mind as much as possible. That said, she skated over to meet with her guide and the rest of her team, adjusting the sash she kept her scrolls on "I haven't worked with anyone here before so...introductions? I'm Sidonie Jayne, but you can just call me Sid. I'm a physical specialist that's basically a walking sponge for damage, so my job is gonna be guard duty and maybe dishing out some hits myself. I'm a bit behind the rest of you, I took a break from the whole shinobi thing, but I'll be sure not to hold anyone back." As she looked across the group, her eye lingered on Indra. Something like distaste flashed in their depths but it was gone when she spoke again "Who knows, maybe I'll even catch up to you." This time her eye lingered on Diana and then Mei, though the competitiveness there was plain for anyone to see. She waited for the rest of them to make their introductions, if they did at all, and listened intently. She needed to know who she synergized with best, after all. When everyone had talked, she would wait for the first person to make their leave and follow after them. Every second they waited could be one closer to Elias' demise, a fact which put some urgency into Sid's skating. - Info:

| Taigakai’s reaction for the most part was shocked than anything. Not to the people that would do it, but to someone he briefly met and considered a comrade from another village. That’s horrible what happened to them and it honestly reminded him that any of the others around him, as well as he himself, could have been in that same situation. His brow furrowed slightly and he could feel his teeth biting into the inside of his lower lip, threatening to break a bit of skin. He caught the slightest movement from Seiko, making brief eye contact and resumed staring back at the table while she turned back to address herself to everyone else in the room. A bit fast to assume Elias was potentially dead, or was it? He’d rather bank on the idea that the boy was alive. Oh, they were doing introductions now. Taigakai stepped in, he knew he wasn’t really much anything special but an introduction is important. Despite typically having a bright or laid back tone to things, he seemed to be in a more serious mood this go. It made sense, with a murder and a kidnapping. “Taigakai Shikotsu.”, he started, leaving out the clan surnames. He was pretty sure the aesthetics on him alone made it fairly obvious where his background came from. “My speciality is terrain management. The snow I create conducts electricity.” Man, making serious introductions were hard, then again it didn’t help there wasn’t much else he could go off. But at least the last thing he said could spark ideas for trapping if anything. He hated admitting it but he had to say something about where he was currently. “I’m not the best when it comes to combat, but if I can get some time bought, I can change the general field of things. I’ll do my best to make sure I’m not hindering the team though.”He meant it literally. His main concern was freezing everyone around him that was an ally though. [exit] - Spoiler:

| Kotone's ears still felt a alittle weird and oddly heavy, even if the new piercings weren't actually heavy, it was just the new presense. But everything else was faded, numb. She awoke before any of this with a deep deep pit in her stomach. The last time this happened her grandmother died. Something... Something was wrong. It just took an urgent calling to find out exactly what. And it felt like the world was a whole lot less warm. Over the last 2 years she had learned Elias' family wasn't the same behind closed doors, but then neither was her own. It honestly felt nice to always be able to vent with him about their family lives. But now, looking around the table she had never realised what a big presense he was in her life. His absense turned that pit in her stomach in to a vortex of despair. She had been so excited to see Elias today, show off her new ear piercings, now the next time she saw him... he... he could... Kotone shed a tear just at that thought. She always was an emotional sort. It made her stronger. She practically clung to Jinnouchi's hand for support the whole meeting, doubting he would mind. She always had been vocal about the two of them being her brothers so her worry would have been obvious even if it weren't plastered across her face. As the meeting ended she looked and gave the same warm smiles to the other two she hadn't seen since the exams. "Seiko and Taigakai, it's nice to see you again. I wish it were... under better circumstances." Her free hand wiped at her cheek. "... Elias is my brother. So... I'm getting him back. We're getting him back." The way she spoke it was just as clear she was talking more about just the Jielko members in particular. "I can't promise I won't keep crying, but I'm a Zakiyoshi and it just means more fuel for my water." She couldn't help but chuckle though, glancing back towards Taigakai. "So it's official, you're taking Elias' place for us in this operation. Field manip is kinda our team's deal as a whole. So I guess we'll try not to step on your toes there either."[Exit] - Info:

| Indra's eyes scrolled through the room, they would stop when seiko came into view. she was really the only one other than diana that she knew from this mission, her eye glanced over towards Diana as they hadn't spoke since the incident with Q, yet now they were here together it must've been faith pulling them together or something. Her mind zoned out from focusing primarily on those that she could remember, she examined some of the members on team A with a glare before finally thinking back to what the old man had said, making this a retrieval mission. "great, another mission that I have absolutely no idea why i'm here" she thought to herself before slowly rising to her feet after the majority of team A left. "Congratulation, Captain" The words left her lips playfully as she place her arm on Diana's shoulder and paused behind her for a second to mumble something else that hopefully only the two of them could hear. "You protected me, time and time again. It my turn to pick up some slack and support you." She announced solely to Diana, on a very specific topic, she headed outside to meet with the rest of their current team. -exit - info:

| Silence had grasped the room. Although the voices of those giving the briefing were heard clearly, the room felt so quiet. It was a tragedy. Something unthinkable had occurred. Kaili could only listen with clenched fists and gritted teeth, as he heard about the tragic events that happened to his friend. A side glance to Jinnouchi and Kotone only intensified the impact. They had known Elias for far longer than he, and had to be feeling exponentially worse from the news. -Damn it-- Appearance:
Aside from Kotone, Mei and Jinn, he knew none of the faces that surrounded the table. But that was fine. Everyone was gathered here for the same purpose. They were all here to get Elias back, just as Kotone had said. Everyone was soon placed into one of two squads and assigned a guide at the end of the briefing. Kaili would follow suite after team A as they trickled out of the room. | Jinnouchi listened with an intensity in his eyes, silently contemplating his next moves as he mulled over how such a betrayal could bring misfortune. So soon as well, too soon. In regards to his ninja way, it was important to know these feelings, it was for the sake of making him appreciate the life that he had. Therefore, he refused to deny the feelings he was experiencing, even though it tore him up from the inside. His parents were murdered? It's good to have gratitude for their lives and how they live, but it's not easy to accept how they died. They didn't die a good death, to be surrounded by their children and grandchildren or doing what they loved. They were taken, the lives were taken. Sure it was hypocritical to a shinobi who has also taken a life plenty of times before, but it was in the name of patriotism towards the villages, right? It was excusable when they did it, right? Or maybe no one gets to decide that and in all actuality, it's history that gets to decide who's right in the end. In this case, Jinnouchi wouldn't shy away from it. To the family that so graciously invited him to their home for the celebration and that Elias loved so dear, Jin was going to take it upon himself to stain his own hands. He will take an arm or any limb that he can, and deliver them to justice as best as he could. The perpetrators, if they could be taken alive, still had to look Elias in the eye, as well as face laws that govern over the village. It was the right thing to do, even though Jin believed that he might not be too eager to do it. But he was the leader of jielko, and he couldn't help but feel as if he failed Elias in some way. | Mei spared a glance towards her former team mates, realising she had not really seen either of them since the exams. Though much of that had been spent at home in recovery, she wanted to at least share that she was healthy and good. The faces on her side were also a mix of familiar and new. Not that it really mattered. It was also strange to think who was missing and why. She would do her best to get Elias back though. She might have grown a little attached to the boy.
She was Team B, people she hadn't worked with yet. "Mei Suisho-Erlang. In case we haven't met before. Emphasis on the former. And Elias is my friend. | With a calm look on his face, Kozzen showed almost zero emotion during the time of the briefing. Nothing gave him away to people who had a glance at him. However, if one were to pay close attention, there was a certain twitch in his eye. The facade was breaking on the inside due to it hitting close to home. This was the same, the same exact thing that happened to his great great great grandfather being taken by the ASN. Now it was on the other side, someone else was being taken from their home and there were some bad people involved. He didn't want to make the same mistakes, having pride in his history but making sure that he didn't become his own stereotype. He knew of his past and took this particularly hard, wanting to get going sooner than later.

| While everyone had been outwardly expressing their shock, frustration, and sadness at the situation Diana had been completely stoic. Maybe what had recently occurred between her and her now-disbanded team had scarred her to the point of no return but to be frank she just didn’t care about what was going on here. | Auri had no idea why she was here, no seriously why was she here she specifically tried to avoid getting close to anyone for reasons just like this. She was rather distressed because she knew the type of mission this was and it was the type were shit went bad and people like her didn't make it back due to being ambushed by someone or falling down a pitfall trap with spikes. "Um...is it possible to refuse this mission? It's not that I'm incapable or anything but I really don't think I'm qualified for this. No? I can't back out...I was just kidding..."
