Zardj'Tali's Quest

Zardj'tali was lucky at it was more concerned with wiping it's hooves clean on the fur of the now headless stamp hog as when it looked up it wouldn't see her anymore and would snort once more before casually trotting up to the now paralyzed Stamp Hog and pressing a hoof on it's stomach and slowly pressing down causing it to squeal in agony. All Zardj'tali could hear as she ran away in the night was the agonized squeals of the Stamp Hog which would seemingly trail on and on until it suddenly cut off.

Boss Encounter Escaped Zardj'tali Returns to Lizardkin Burrow:

Zardj'tali opted to go elsewhere this time, heading towards the east area. She didn't want to stray too far, but any volunteers she brought with her would be sure to assist where she was able. She needed to get more food for the burrow, and perhaps start to think about how to strengthen their kin too. Running in to the forest boss again was suicide at this point.

It would be a pleasant journey for the most part. Trees would sway slightly in the breeze, nothing would jump out and attack, it seemed to all be going so darn well. Which is why it's a bit of a shame that Zardj'tali would come across not just one, but two Black Wolves, both creeping around, sniffing at the air and the ground, looking for their next meal. I guess it's really just sheer dumb luck that the closest meal was Zardj'Tali, and they were beginning to pick up her scent. One wolf would stop moving, snorting and sniffing rapidly as it began to turn it's head in the direction of J'Tali, creeping forwards as it began the track. The other, close behind was watching out for her. If she is lucky, she may be able to get the jump on them, however that might be difficult considering they are hot on her the tali-tail.

Zardj'tali felt she was getting accustomed now to fending for herself, with the pigs last night she had worked solo until the boss came around. Now she was fighting two on one. But she was also getting stronger ever day. She would hunch down low, stealth was still something she was practicing in, and no reason not to get more practice in sneaking up. She took the steps slowly, tip of her tail raised to judge wind direction. Her experience with beasts so far were telling her they had powerful noses, and being 'downwind' was best to get in close. And as soon as she did, she dove on the back of one, tackling them and forcing them to the ground with her tail, wrapping around it's throat, and sinking claws in to it's throat to speed up the asphyxiation.

ZardJ'tali was in a battle with two predators and thus she would handle it as she had everything else she had hunted the tried and true method of strangulation to get her goal as she managed to sneak up to the Black Wolves and hit one of them to the ground before wrapping her tail around it's throat. This would cause it to kick it's legs furiously as it tried to stand up and get some air whereas the other Black Wolf would circle around before biting her midsection trying to use pain to get her to let go of it's mate.

Zardj'tali only held on tighter, flexing her hardened Rock Scales to mitigate some of the harm from the wolves' bite. With the wolf still in her tail, she continued in just jerking it around, trying to snap it's neck if she were able, but at the very least aiming to dizzy them more as they were choked out. And with the one biting at her midsection, it itself was perfect range for a stab directly at it's eyes. If she was going to be outnumbered, she was going to even the paying field in terms of senses.

The Black wolf that she was choking would continue to flail though it would get slower and slower as time went on, for that reason the other Black Wolf would get more frantic with it's biting. It would keep clinging on and shaking it's mouth as her newly hardened scales tried their best to mitigate the damage she was sustaining until she stabbed it in the eye causing it to reel back and let go with a whine. Still it couldn't just leave it's partner and thus it would run around before barking and then lunging for Zardj'tali's face in an attempt to try to get her to let go. If she did then it would save the life of it's partner if not then she would find that the black wolf she was choking would stop moving and go limp while her snout would get bitten causing her to lose her sense of smell as blood oozed out of it.

Zardj'tali felt the wolf weakening in her tail's grip, it was nearly out for the count, she had this. Perhaps a little of a mistake as this meant she was too focused on keeping it there. As it's friend lunged, she immediately brought her recent sickle acquisition and gave it a new target to bite down on instead of herself. Though if she was too low, she was still swinging it up and if still bitten, would slash it across the throat. All without letting go with her tail.

The Black wolf would go limp and with a pained whine Zardj'tali's counter-attack would cause the other black wolf to bite down on the sickle causing it to tear it's mouth apart in the process as it dealt itself damage. It would reel back in agony and try to blink away the pain as one of it's most powerful weapons was just taken away from it. This would give Zardj'tali time to extract herself from her precarious position at the moment, as it would take it a bit to collect itself but it would be ready to continue fighting if she did try to attack it

Zardj'tali was so glad her gambit worked like that, protecting herself and injuring them all in one. She dropped the now dead wolf down, prime for dealing with later, and focused on the one bleeding from it's mouth. She likewise had herself a moment to compose herself first, catching her breath. And then she lunged again. She felt the wolf was smart enough to watch for her tail when it alone had killed the wolf's companion, so she instead simply focused on striking with the sickle, albeit in a feint, to actually bring her tail around for a direct slam with the tail to the side of it's head, only to further pain the wolf by hitting where the sickle had previously cut.

The Black would was wary of the sickle and thus knowing that it was slowly bleeding to death it would lunge at Zardj'tali's face intending on further ravaging her snout in exchange for receiving it's death blow. If Zardj'tali decided to take such a gamble she would emerge the victor but her nose would be further bloodied causing her to be unable to smell anymore rather than being partially unable to smell from the first attack. Otherwise the battle would stall for a bit longer and she would have to figure out another way of dealing with the thing though, in comparison it would seem the longer the battle kept going on the more labored the Black wolf's breathing would get and the more blood would drip from it's mouth to pool on the ground.

Zardj'tali wasn't one to rush and risk, albeit her style thus far had perhaps been that a little. But now she had badly injured the wolf, and she could afford to play a little defensively. She would back and side step each lunge from the wolf, but waited for her moments to slam her tail against their injured jaw when her nose was not in danger. Even if she wasn't taking it down quickly, she was outpacing the wolf.

The Black Wolf would whimper as it's final gambit wasn't able to work considering that was the last of it's strength and it would collapse to the ground continuing to whimper before it would shudder and go still. It seemed that she was fortunate enough to kill this one without having to risk herself, but would she continue to hunt now that she had succeeded or was this enough to head home.

Zardj'tali breathed a sigh of relief, and now free touched her scratched note and winced in pain. With a growl she gave a kick to the now lifeless corpse of the wolf, and grabbed it by the tail. She dragged it along to it's earlier deceased partner, and grabbed them both together. Perfect little hunt for feeding her family, and she headed home.

Heading out from the burrow with just Zwardtenor, J'Tali just had to admire the new colouration on her silent friend. They didn't plan to go too far out, just find a quiet little spot to get their practise back on. They figured together, a good few hours was just what they needed to get J'Tali better trained. Over and over, JTali would grapple Tenor down to the ground, help them back up, let them stabalize, then go again. All in to the mid afternoon across a couple of hours.

it wouldn't take long after the two started their training that they were soon interrupted by the rustle of the bushes before zardrex came from it dragging a hind bear behind him, it was one of his favorite meals and the fur from it was very durable compared to that of lizards or goblins. "what are you two cowards doing, is that practicing" he questioned before giving a chuckle, it wasn't something he'd every catch himself doing since he was more of a hands on person who loved the thrill of gorging the eyes out of his victims. "amateurs" he stated continuing to drag his meal into the cave.

Zardj'tali grumbled at Zardrex's rudeness, but it was true, outside the young lizard felt herself getting a little distracted, and she couldn't seem to burn the energy she had building up. After a little discussion, they decided to move back inside for their impromptu training session.

Knowing they had recently encountered two of the areas bosses, or perhaps not so exactly in the still base lizards mind, the trio were sticking to the shadows and going back in to familiar territory to the east where she first went on a hunt. With the evolved brethren she hoped this could go a little smoother. Their main targets were some basic prey for food. But secretly, JTali also hoped for a wolf or two again. Together, the three of them attempted to sneak through the brush to find some easy targets.

the east forest always had that late night silence especially now with thee black wolf leader gone, which made finding it's replacement a tough call to the predators in the east forest, as few were strong enough to compete with it and much more were scared of the repercussion of being named the leader of the east forest. however this didn't stop many of the monster who lived within this forest from venturing at night, on the contrary it was also more safer for those herbivores who can out for a late night snack. The group of zards would come to approach it the sound of the two zwards beside zardj'tail would give away their location making the horned rabbit stare at them before they would get a chance to actually make a move on it.

Zardjtali had hoped for a little more, but this would be s good start at the very least. It alone would ensure Zardyaya got something to eat, and unlike the other two in the group this one would be fresh. It was only fair, and JTali enjoyed the company of these two. Feeling her own rank up close, her own was to stretch out their abilities the following day and make a better little team. She'd seen it plenty by now in others, she needed to catch up. Sneaking up close she instructed the two higher tier to hold back, and be ready to ambush or protect if something went wrong. With careful steps JTali approached, but it seemed the Rabbit had caught them approaching. However the smaller lizard seemed to notice it wasn't exactly her own presence that had been caught. She made the first attack, she lunged, and made use of her Rockscale ability to harden her body for protection from the sharp horn of it was turned against her. Her goal? Simply to use her claws to pierce at the beasts wind pipe to choke and bleed it out.

being that the horned rabbit eyes locked onto the two Loud zards, is eyes stared down their fire mere seconds before deciding to step back slowly hoping the zards were as much intimidated by it as it was of them. Once it took the step back it would be meet by the fierce claws of zardj’tail, who was prepping her attack in the active shadow of the shadows of her friend. Her claws would dig deep into the skin of the rabbit causing it to leak out over the ground, the rabbit would kick its feet for a few moment but the light in its eyes had already started to fade away.

Party:

Zardj'tali found that really quite easy, and with a shrug she handed the body over to Zardyaya to hold on too. Thinking it over, that had been over really quickly, and she didn't feel much satisfied. One horned rabbit wouldn't satisfy the three of them, so they're would continue their sneaking through the brush to find more. Feeling at ease with it, JTali one again took the lead whilst the two Zward were still practising the stealthy movements.

zardj'tali took the lead once again however zwardtenor was kind of upset of thinking of herself as a liability unless she was able to learn how to sneak as well. so she would put more effort into in than zwardyaya did which was shown in their results from learning the skill. zwardyaya would follow behind the two as it gave them an opportunity to actually be sneak and gave them quite the destraction, during their travel for more of an opponent for zardj'tali, they would pause in the bushes as they came across a bladed rabbit who had came out to search for its young one. the eyes of the bladed rabbit would lock on to zardyaya as she stepped on a twig, however their was a familiar aura about the rabbit that it held tightly in its hands.

Zardyaya fixed her gaze on the rabbit, trying not to grin. She had been seen, and she definitely had their attention. This was perfect. She had her deep trust in her first friend Zardj'tali and she likewise was beginning to trust her fellow Zward. She knew they would keep her safe. She just held up the dead rabbit. Taunting it. Goading it in to attacking her.

The two sneaking individuals made use of this, and Zwardtenor was the one to make the first move as motioned by J'Tali. She figured Tenor getting some more experience was the best course of action. She allowed Tenor to be the one to dive, using the skills she had learned from watching J'Tali. Her larger, sharper, claws were swiftly cutting through the rabbit, just as J'Tali had done to the one Yaya was taunting with.

zardyaya's attempt to taunt the blade rabbit would fail as the blade rabbit had recognized that the horned rabbit that zardyaya wasn't the one that he was looking for, however he wouldn't be able to expect the sneak attack which was done by both zwardtenor and zardj'tali. the two lizardfolks would cause the a surmount amount of damage however the blade rabbit would still be on its furry four feet, being that it was attacked it would launch the blade of its head into the shin of zwardtenor, would cause her to give a yelp of pain from the blade of the rabbit.
