Gobueron's Quest!

Walking out of the cave didn't take long and when Eron finally made it out he would be welcomed by a bright light which caused him to cover his eyes with one hand while holding the two sticks in his other. There was a lot of trees ahead and the small clearing he was in showed no signs of life currently.

The urge to run was heavy so that was what Eron began doing heading north and weaving through the trees as best he could his face would light up with a smile as the wind hit his face and put of nowhere a vine would cause him to fall.

"Ow"

The vine was interesting however and Eron would begin pulling on it in hopes to break it free.

Gobueron seemed to be quite lucky in regards to gathering materials or maybe it was because his depth perception was off, either way upon noticing the branch he would give it a tug though if he were any other Goblin he probably would have to spend some time pulling it. Fortunately unknown to him he was just a little bit stronger than most, maybe one of his parents had some orc in him or perhaps as a result of being born with a defect he made up for his deficiency in sight with power. Whatever it was he would manage to free some of the vine from the tree above him which would cause it to plop to the ground as it seemed to be about 6 ft in length which made it obviously longer than he was tall. Goblins weren't exactly the tallest of monsters only coming up to what could be considered a human child's height, but it didn't make them any less dangerous that was for sure. Either way what would he do now that he had two sticks and a vine, who knew but it was obvious that he only had two hands so if he wanted to carry them all something had to go. Or he could get creative, whatever the case may be, once he figured that out it was more of which direction to head, did he go north, east, south, or west...

The vine came right off quicker than Eron had expected causing him to stumble back for a second before steadying himself and looking over the entire vine as a whole. It was bigger than him and when he squeezed and pulled it, the thing only seemed to get longer. He would try to break it in half by pulling it enough eventually and if he did so he would drop one half then begin tying the sticks to each end of the first section of vine. Once that was done he would grab the second piece and wrap it around his waist for future use but for now it was simply a belt. Eron would pick up the weapon he had just made by the middle portion of the vine and begin swinging it around causing the two sticks to rotate around him eventually thudding off a tree, with practice it would be useful. He would hang the weapon on his back tucked in his new belt, before scanning for a path too go and starting to run north before hitting a tree.

"Ow"

He would get up however check himself and start running again.

Gobueron would keep running aimlessly through the forest however due to him not bothering to carefully explore past their home he had been noticed by something else in the area upon him hitting the tree which had been out looking for prey. It was perched up in a tree and had vivid yellow fur and was currently hanging upside down with it's tail which possessed a two thumbed hand, while it's other hands held two rocks. The Yellow Ape would reel back it's arm before tossing one of the rocks at the Goblin that was running through the forest with it flying through the air though it would end up missing him. However this would alert the Goblin that he wasn't alone in the forest seeing as the Yellow Ape would swing it's body and then land on a lower hanging branch grabbing it with it's newly free limb and baring it's fangs.

The ground was comfy but while down there Eron would see a rock pass by and look in the direction it came from, the thing dropped lower and Eron would wonder why before seeing the one remaining rock in his hand maybe he had to get more rocks to throw, well Eron would smile and lift up before pulling out his own weapon, and grabbing it by both sticks allowing the vine to hang loose before Eron would give yet another smile, i mean it was genuine he didn't not like this thing and he wanted to play a little with it so just like always Eron would move his left foot first then spin and begin running toward the right. Running was fun but he could also try what the monkey had did; Eron would grip his stick and throw it at the monkey once he was close enough. Full strength he did not know what it was to hold back so the stick began moving in the direction of the monkey while the other half would be gripped by two hands on the other stick.

With one eye Eron would lose visual of the monkey as he kept running but if he did not hit a tree again due to not paying any attention to where he was running like always he would try and jump to catch the other half of his weapon once it was dropping hopefully it would have wrapped around the branch the monkey was on.

The Yellow Monkey would try to throw another rock at the running Goblin but it wouldn't get a clear shot and thus the rock would hit a tree missing the Goblin entirely. Speaking of Gobueron it would seem he was quite adept at running away as he would manage to make it away from the Yellow Ape and would continue running only to hit a tree causing him to fall down once more. If not for his gain for a particular skill by now he probably would have been injured by now, but seeing as he had been running into things since the moment he was old enough to walk it didn't seem to be too much of a problem. Still now that he had experienced his first life or death encounter within the Great Forest maybe he would be more wary, or possibly he wouldn't be seeing as he managed to get away from the situation without even a scratch. But this also meant that he had headed further up north, who knows what he could now find by journeying deeper into the Great Forest.

"Ow"

On the ground again but Eron felt pretty good and would simply jump to his feet before looking around. There was nothing in sight so Eron would simply check his supplies and make a mental note of where he had been running for the most part he was going in a straight line north, so he would start running again after taking a moment to catch his breath, he was more wary now however and it would cause him to not run at full speed instead moving his head from left to right as he moved while both his hands were tucked behind the small of his back each holding a handle of a stick for quick use.

Gobueron would continue to run and run until he got even farther away from the Goblin Cave that was his home, fortunately for him he hadn't been followed by the Yellow Ape but now he was in an unfamiliar area and all of that running had made him rather hungry. Sure he could keep running around but that would probably tire him out more and more importantly serve to make him even hungrier seeing as he hadn't eaten anything all day. As such the hungry would probably make him reconsider his current activity, unless he was more concerned with running around than potentially starving to death.

He could feel himself getting hungry but he knew looking for food meant that he would have to stop running he would let the thought linger for a moment before stopping and giving a small sigh, he needed to catch his breathe for a moment; once was ready to move he would continue heading north but this time his focus would be on food anything he saw edible would be ok. His weapon would shift into his hand and he would slowly move around each tree looking in a 360 to try and scan his whole surroundings, even pivoting at times to check the blind spot from his blind eye.

As he kept moving he would notice a large Horned Rabbit stuck in a bush and it seemed like it was struggling to get free, considering the Horned Rabbit was bigger than he was the fact that it was stuck seemed like a good find. What would the young Goblin do, would he continue running around or would he seek to capitalize on the fact that he had found what seemed like a free meal seeing as his would be prey was currently stuck in what seemed to be a trap of it's own making.

The rabbit was stuck so Eron would place his weapons away and swoop around and try and look what was holding it in the bush, if he could see what was keeping it stuck then he would try and pull the thing free with some strength aided by the rabbits own strength.

"Come on help me help you out of this buddy!"

If the two got free Eron would back away and give the thing some room before smiling in the things direction.

"We can fight now for sure, or you can help me find something even bigger for both of us to eat!"

Either way Gobueron was ready.

When Gobueron freed the Great Horned Rabbit he unknowingly managed to learn a new skill and as such the newly freed monster would decide to help him out. However his persuasion failed to work on the Horned Rabbit which had been hidden by the bush that the Great Horned Rabbit had been stuck in causing it to charge at him with it's horn attempting to stab him with it. The Great Horned Rabbit looked conflicted as if Gobueron ordered it too it would assist him in bringing down it's fellow Horned Rabbit but it used to be friendly with this one and for some reason now felt closer to Gobueron than the Horned Rabbit attacking him.

The rabbit he had freed was cool and from the looks of it was ready to go and try to look for more food with Eron. But out of nowhere Eron would see another rabbit coming out this one was moving as if it aimed to kill eron so he would do the same though while he moved he would yell out at his new freind, "Use you horn come from under it and try and get it in one blow" while talking Gobu Eron would be falling to the ground on one knee and readying himself with a stick in each hand. Once the thing was within range of his weapon he would twist and try and move to the left side of the beast though as low to the ground as possible and pull two of it's legs out from under it with the vines hanging loose from the weapon Eron had created prior.

The smaller Horned Rabbit was surprisingly fast and would impact Gobueron in his side even as he attempted to sweep it off it's feet with his makeshift weapon. As such it's blow and the young Goblin's tactics would cause them to both tumble on the ground though before the Horned Rabbit could right itself it would be gored by it's former companion the Great Horned Rabbit which was now loyal to the Goblin. It's horn would pierce into the other Horned Rabbit and inflict a critical wound before the Great Horned Rabbit would withdraw seemingly allowing Gobueron to finish off it's very much wounded former companion rather than dishing out the final blow itself. Of course if he did order it to do so then it would seeing as it now was his pet.

The second rabbit was down and Gobueron would slowly lift himself up holding his new wound before hitting himself in the chest in order to keep himself going he figured he would have to sleep now and eat; with his newly found wounds he could attempt to make it back to the cave with the other goblins or he could make a home for himself out here with his new friend. He would decide on the latter and possibly go back to the other goblins when he could assert his dominance going back hurt would end up with them either taking his food or looking down on him. He would jab his stick in the wounded rabbits eye and then begin removing the horn for use as a weapon. Considering he could not cook the animal he would have to try and remove the fur for further use and if he could not then they would have to eat the fur as well.

"Can you dig us a cave to sleep in buddy while i go and find more food maybe some plants to go with this. Just come look for me when your done."

He was not up and running like usual but for the most part he was moving at a solid pace scanning everything in search of berries, luckily for GobuEron no matter what he seemed to head north so when he was ready to go back to where he was born it would be easy enough to find.

When he did so the Horned Rabbit would promptly die as he dealt the finishing blow while given that he had ordered the other one to dig him a burrow it would begin to do so. The horn that Gobueron tried to remove would snap off easily enough however when he tried to skin the now hornless rabbit carcass he would run into porblems and thus ruin the pelt leaving patches still clinging to the meat. The Goblin would feast immediately though he wouldn't completely finish the horned rabbit merely because he was full at the moment. However when he went off in search of berries he would unfortunately not find any.

Meanwhile where he had left it, his pet was hard at work digging into the ground to try and make a burrow for them to sleep. Due to being larger than a normal Horned Rabbit it would actually be able to dig quite quickly though not nearly fast enough to be done by the time it took him to not find some berries. Instead the Great Horned Rabbit would currently be inside a hole of it's own making and would continue to dig while leaving it's owner to do whatever it was he wanted to do next.

Eron didn't find any berries and would come back to the horned rabbit building a hole quite fast, Eron would poke his head in a offer a small smile feeling somewhat good about having his own cave; a place he could hide his good finds from the other goblins when the need arose. Since there was still time he would go the opposite direction clutching the horn he would try and find some plants or berries.

Gobueron would return only for the Great Horned Rabbit to acknowledge his presence with a huff after he stuck his head in the hole she was making. Either way the hole was getting bigger as while his pet had decided to keep the entrance just large enough for it and it's owner to squeeze through inside the hole was getting large enough that Gobueron could stand up in it. But it still wasn't big enough for both of them to stay in comfortably thus, he would leave once more to search for food yet again. He was unfortunately still unsuccessful as it would seem that foraging just wasn't his skill set for some reason or maybe it was because the Horned Rabbits had already eaten whatever berries were found here prior to his arrival. There were two of them after all so it was quite possible, unfortunately that meant besides the remaining meat he had left he wouldn't be able to eat anything else unless he either kept looking or went hunting once more.

Considering Eron didn't find and berries he would go back and begin pacing for a moment, he would place his current supplies on the ground and look them over while the Rabbit was finishing there new home. He knew that he would need a little more food so he could either go and search for more by himself or possibly wait and bring the rabbit along.

While he was waiting he would up and around for anything useful that he did not notice prior.

This time however Gobueron was successful and he would find a berry bush, it would seem however that something had already eaten some of them since he would only find three of them, however he had now learned how to forage in the wild which was a crucial skill for a young Goblin. Meanwhile back with his pet, the Great Horned Rabbit had managed to complete the burrow for the two of them to sleep in having dug a little bit further so that the hole wasn't directly over where they would be sleeping. She was currently outside of the hole waiting for Gobueron to return rather than searching for him as since he kept popping up she figured he would come back soon enough.

GobuEron would hold the three berries then walk back toward the horned rabbit to find it waiting outside, before saying anything however GobuEron would enter the new cave and bring the meat and berries inside with him before calling for the rabbit to follow he would place half the meat and two berries on one side and one berrie on the other side.

"The meat is yours and the two berries if you wanna eat now nice job on cave. I figure you been surving out here so do you know any places to get a drink?"

If the rabbit knew a place then GobuEron would follow it with his horn being the only thing on him.

The Horned Rabbit would move to eat the Berries avoiding the meat of her fallen kin, not because she was a vegetarian or anything like that, she just wasn't a cannibal. As for the question that the Goblin had been asking, she would nod but wouldn't move instead deciding to try and curl up so she could go to sleep. She knew better than to try and head towards the river at this time of the day after all it would eventually be sunset and dangerous monsters roamed during the night time. The Goblin might have been ignorant but this particular Great Horned Rabbit had lived for more than 20 days and thus knew from experience that one didn't roam at night unless they had a death wish or were rather confident that they could survive.

GobuEron had the urge to kill the small beast but he refrained because he knew that it could be of more use in the long run, he would instead tie on his vine belt cover his cut in some dirt then stick his two sticks attached by vines inside his belt before picking up the horn and meat and taking off into the night heading north. He had a plan and figured only big things would be lurking in the night time he would move slowly and be looking up and around until he found a spot over looking a tree, he would place the meat down and then use his vine to climb up the tree and position himself to drop and impale anything that came to eat the seemingly free meal.

Unfortunately for Gobueron it would seem him climbing a tree wasn't exactly the wisest course of action after all he wasn't the only one who hunted from the treeline. In particular watching him from another tree was a Yellow Monkey the smaller version of the Yellow Ape and as he climbed it would shift the berry in it's hand before throwing it at him. The berry would sail through the air before hitting Gobueron in the ear with enough force to almost knock him to the ground. If that was it then he would of at least been better off however the liquid which splashed into his ear made it very clear that this particular berry wasn't the edible kind and he would begin to feel pain as the poison began to circulate through his body. It would seem he wouldn't head the Great Horned Rabbit's warning about not going out during the night time though whether he would perish to some Yellow Monkey or not remained to be seen.

GobuEron was hit and would flail from the tree though with how he was using the vine to climb he would not fall to the ground instead holding on he would squirm in pain for a moment before thudding against the tree held up by the stretchy vine, he would scramble to a branch and look over at the Yellow ape before punching himself in the chest to try and keep himself going and dull out the pain but either way he had to think of a plan he would toss one of the sticks up and over a branch then pull it to check if it could hold him before using it to propel himself over toward the yellow ape much like tarzan, with the passing momentum he would aim to head butt the creature and grab it.
