| Yoshi held up some of the pieces he and Bion had managed to carve from the Wartboars, impressed by both Bion's and his own skill. These would make fine pieces of armor and the femur clubs also held his interest. He was used to sharp weapons, but getting practice with a blunt weapon couldn't hurt either as far as he was concerned. Worst came to worst he could give it to one of the minions while they hunted. Yoshi stood as Salafang approached and though her body language didn't speak of hostility, he still didn't fully trust this generation. He positioned himself between Salafang and the Gillkin, both to keep the two away from each other and to block what was said next by Salafang. Yoshi listened intently, somewhat surprised as this mystery of the Gillkin began to unravel itself more and more. He nodded before turning to Bion, Bion, do me a favor and make sure Ursa here doesn't get into any of that meat. Salafang and I need to discuss an issue with the Dwarves. He said, slightly nodding towards the Gillkin who gazed about the burrow uncomfortably. Bion would blink twice, registering the hidden command before nodding, Aye sir, I'll make sure the big one stays out of trouble. Yoshi nodded, both thankful and proud of how resourceful Bion was proving to be as a hunting companion. Ursa let out a huff and turned away from the meat, realizing he'd have to wait for the others for dinner. With that, Yoshi said to Salafang, Come, show me the issue with the dwarves that you're speaking of. Once they moved further away and out of ear shot however, Yoshi turned to Fang, I see your point. Understand I have given my word that they are under my protection for the night while they rest and recuperate from their wounds. They fought beside us out in the forest and for the moment...seem docile enough. If it makes you feel better, my people and I will take shifts throughout the night so they are always watched until they return home in the morning when it is safer. They will be fed from our kills today. Yoshi said, watching Fang to see her reaction. His mind continued to churn, considering what she had said and though he had no proof of it, if true it posed a dangerous reality. As far as he had been concerned, and trying to cultivate all this time, Zards - any Zards for that matter - should be more interested in putting aside their differences and working together to survive and conquer this forest than actively seeking to destroy one another. Still, if the Gillkin couldn't be swayed, it posed an interesting opportunity and a hell of a long shot bet. Let me escort them back to their hideout. They seem to trust me and I will go alone, with just Ursa, whom they seem indifferent to for the most part. I may be able to get a better understanding for their people and at the very least, the layout and location of their home. Should they prove unwilling to cooperate, perhaps we as a burrow can come back and... He chose his next words carefully, studying Salafang, convince them.- Spoiler:
