The Stadium:

The stadium was packed even though it was night time as those within Kohai tended to host examinations at night due to the scorching heat of the desert sun. More accurately the sun had just set and thus it was still moderately warm out the perfect time to relax and watch the finals of the Chunin Exams. The stadium was packed and there were numerous screen barriers which were projecting the stage from multiple angles all for the viewing pleasure of the audience. Courtesy of the Sasori Clan & the Rikigaku Clan, of course looking from the stadium the screens just seemed blank as they only projected one way while recording with the other. All of the participants had arrived at this time and were waiting in the viewing area for the participants, with their various fellow genin either seated among the stands or if they were also participating or a part of that genin's squad also in the viewing area.

Their squad jonin at least the teams who still had squad jonin were also waiting. Just a few minutes before Kohai's Kage had given a speech about being a shinobi, unity and strength yet those involved needing to showcase their forethought, planning and leadership if they wanted the coveted Chunin promotion. Those that showcased exceptional jonin level skill in certain areas would be promoted to T. Jonin and perhaps one of the applicants who showed enough promise in all areas not simply strength or skill would be able to be promoted straight to A-rank.

Once she had finished her speech the proctor for the exam would exhale as the first match was going to happen, between Omito Phantom & Rai Inugami. He would wait for both participants to enter before he explained the rules to them. I want a good, clean fight, showcase your skills but if I see either of you deliberately going for a kill or a maiming without good reason you'll be either disqualified or penalized heavily. That being said, in such an occasion that you feel your life is threatened it is justified to respond with lethal force in return. He said pausing to make sure they both understood before nodding.

Alright...you may begin.

It had been a month since the prelims had finished, and now the Genin who passed that part of the exam were all meeting up in one place for the finals. Omito had did some pretty tough training over the break he had, mostly trying new ways to incorporate his new weapon into his fighting style. He hadn't really came up with a solid idea, but he was still trying to make it work. He walked towards the stadium, admiring its size from the entrance. After he got in, he made his way over to the viewing section. That was where all the participating Genin were supposed to go, along with their teammates and Sensei.

Omito listened respectively towards the Kage as she made her speech about what it meant to be a shinobi. He knew if he was going to pass the finals and get promoted to Chunin that he would have to show his intelligence and strategy off in his fights. After she finished her speech Omito noticed the large crowd who was attending the Finals and was surprised to see so much people their. The boy's light sea green eyes scanned the crowd, wondering exactly how much people came to watch. His eyes diverted down to the stadium floor when his name was called, looked like he was fighting first.

After making his way down the stairs, he entered the battle grounds of the stadium and began his way to the center where the proctor was standing. Seems like the battlefield is made up of dirt with grass patches with little trees surrounding it... He wondered how much hiding one could do with the very small amount of trees present. It felt really cool and his body was relaxed. Omito was wearing his black shinobi sandals, black 3/4 pants and a plain black t-shirt. He also was wearing a black mask that went up to the bridge of his nose. Omito wore black gloves that went half way up his forearm too. He had his headband on his forehead and has his ninja pouch attached to his belt. Omito now had his Tessen folded up and strapped to his back. After reaching the proctor he start stretching, ready to whoop some ass. He would lean side to side stretching his legs until his opponent arrived.

PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai]   Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai] Icon_minitime16th September 2015, 6:45 pm

A small kid would walk into the arena wearing a simple black outfit along with an open-front apron around his waist and fish-net armour around his ankles. The black outfit resembled zipped up at the back with black sleeves with metal forearm protectors, likewise covering the zipper was leather straps which covered his back and parts of his chest with a harness for carrying a bladed weapon resembling a tanto in the middle of his back. He completed the look with blue shinobi sandals, his Ibaragakure forehead protector and a black mask a mask over the nose and lower-half of his face. On his left leg was a Kohaigakure forehead protector though as him like other Ibara or any other village that had gotten destroyed or taken over still chose to represent their old village along with the new one that they were apart of in the ASN in hopes that one day their village would be rebuilt. His ninja pouch was also on his belt a dull grey though in roughly the same shade as his forearm protectors.

He would walk up before stopping some feet away probably about 10 or so having observed the stadium in advance during the month of training. Rai would look at his opponent essentially memorizing his body type before watching the proctor as he spoke. Nodding as he understood the instructions and sliding into a combat stance. "No fatal wounds or maiming winner by forfeit, unconsciousness or worst case scenario death." Rai thought to himself his eyes narrowing as he prepared to start the match. It was his chunin debut having graduated very much ahead of schedule truthfully he was looking forward to matching himself against the only other person in the exams who looked to be his age, the girl in the match after him, Jazz? Was her name, after all everyone else was much to old even though this guy was also a rookie it would be nice to fight prodigy versus prodigy if it happened.

Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai]   Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai] Icon_minitime16th September 2015, 7:27 pm

Omito would hear his opponent's footsteps stop, and would look up from his stretching position. He noticed a small sized boy who seemed to be a kid even younger than himself. He sighed quietly in annoyance, not trying to disrespect his opponent, but he was upset he had to fight a kid, Of course I have to end up fighting a little kid. Now everyone won't even take me seriously if I win... Omito would stand up straight and would look at the boy with his light sea green eyes, No. Everyone here in the Finals deserves to be here and will give me a challenge if I go easy on them. I need to come at him with everything I got. He is also a participant in the Finals, he must have some kind of skill. I won't underestimate him. No words were to be spoken, the kid could tell from Omito's stare that he was ready to fight. Once the proctor said begin, Omito was in a fighting stance and ready to go.

The boy could hear the crowd screaming, it was exciting to know so many people wanted to watch you fight. Why not start the Finals off with a fight with a great shinobi like me in it? He laughed at his thought and then slid into a fighting stance. It didn't seem like the small boy was going to make the first move so Omito decided he would take the initiative. Omito's hand would slip into the pouch that was attatched to the back of his belt and would pull out two smoke bombs from it, which were quickly thrown with C-rank strength. Omito would then disappear in front of everyone's eyes, he had turned invisible. He would fly at B-rank speeds to 30 feet above his opponent and the clouds of smoke. He would then form two orbs of ectoplasm, one in each hand. The boy would throw both of the orbs down into the clouds of smoke, which would travel at B-rank speeds. Each orb would deal its own B-rank of spiritual damage at contact, and then would each explode, creating another B-rank of damage each. Immediately after throwing the orbs, Omito would fly at B-rank speeds to 40 feet behind his opponent. He then would reappear on the ground and would throw two kunai at the left and right of the smoke clouds backed with C-rank strength. Each one would had an explosive tag attached to it and would explode when they hit the ground. Omito was really trying to finish the kid off so he could get to the next round.

PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai]   Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai] Icon_minitime16th September 2015, 9:02 pm

Rai would pull out two kunai from his pockets before dropping them downward and kicking out at B-rank speed causing them to be launched forward in order to intercept the smoke bombs. They would actually miss, well the pointy ends of the kunai would only for the tags which were in the back of the kunai to finally finish unraveling to make essentially a miniature parachute. This would end up scooping up the smoke bombs preventing them from simply detonating and instead carrying them back to where Omito was. Rai would pulse his chakra just as he saw Omito vanish resulting in the two kunai with tags attached having said tags detonate the one of the right was a Bang Tag the one on the left on the other hand was a Flash Tag. The result essentially was a "Flash Bang" brightness & deafness mix with the fine particles which typically produced a smoke bomb which simply compounded the effect.

Rai knowing that this would happen had simply closed his eyes before the trigger and thus while Omito who was within range of it's effect would end up taking the "Flash Bang" while on his way up, though unknown to Rai at the time, Rai would instead be safe. Thanks to the smoke Rai would instead rely on his other senses to try and figure out where his opponent was sniffing the air and would detect that his opponent was above him and thus would open his eyes noticing some odd glowing thing falling from the sky and thus would dart to the left moving at B-rank speeds to avoid them only to backpedal further when they detonated and proceeded to expand rapidly Rai staying out of the range due to moving as fast as it expanded. Then again this would only happen if Omito wasn't that effected by the "Flash Bang" because if he was then not only would he be too disorientated to see, he probably wouldn't even be able to aim well either. If he was distracted though then he would use his other hand to pull out two shuriken before throwing them upward also at B-rank speed straight towards Omito's location in the air.

They were both infused with Lightning Release chakra and thus would hum with electricity and they streaked thorugh the air, since Rai could only smell Omito and not seem him he couldn't really aim for specific targets but at the very least he could aim where he was relative to where he picked up his scent.

Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai]   Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai] Icon_minitime17th September 2015, 12:16 am

It seemed like his plan had failed because his smoke bombs never made their destination. It was okay though because he still knew how he was going to win the fight. Luckily for Omito after he threw the smoke bombs he started flying up and passed the tags that were sent flying towards him. Because he was at the ground at first and the tags exploded at the place he was standing, the boy was out of the range of both blasts. Omito would reappear as he watched the younger boy evade his Ectoplasmic Bombs, but a smirk appeared on his face as the boy did so. Rai would see large black clouds form above the battlefield (But still under the mirrors that reflected the fight to the audience). The clouds were obvious storm clouds, he would then believe the clouds raining, but the rain wasn't ordinary rain. What Rai would see falling from the clouds was ectoplasm droplets. Once the rain landed, Rai would take C-rank mental damage from being trapped in the genjutsu.

Because Omito wasn't really effected by the tags that Rai threw at him, Rai never had the chance to throw his lightning kunai. Omito would stand behind Rai now, wondering what to do next. The black haired boy decided to taunt his opponent a bit, "The rain hurts... Doesn't it?" Omito hoped that the comment maybe would draw the boy in to close range fighting, that way it would be easier to hit him with ectoplasm. For now he thought that it would just be best if he let his opponent make the next move, it'd be easier to just create a counter attack and come out with the victory. Omito would pull out a kunai and would hold it reverse grip in front of himself, ready to defend against attacks that might be coming.

PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai]   Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai] Icon_minitime17th September 2015, 1:28 am

Rai would exhale as he avoided the odd green energy, that pretty cool, odd but cool he did wonder what they were but not for long as he would close his eyes to concentrate on his sense of smell it was odd though, he could obviously see the rain but didn't smell the scents associated with moisture. [color=green]"Hmm? This odd...Genjutsu? Thankfully Sensei drilled me on those after I mentioned that my opponent was skilled in them, after all he took that other girl apart even though she seemed more skilled at first glance"[/color] Rai didn't say it out loud but those were his thoughs and would instead make hand seals but only after pulsing his chakra to use Kai having suspected it was a genjutsu thanks to his hypersensitivity (his enhanced sense of smell).

If he was successful then he would break free before using his technique if he wasn't he would utilize his own genjutsu using the link already established by Omito in order to project his own counter. As the rain drops touched the ground where Omito was standing a tree would quickly grow and wrap itself around his body binding him and preventing his movement. My turn. Rai spoke essentially hoping to infuriate his opponent when he prepared his own counter seemingly not hearing what Omito had said to taunt him.

Rai would then sniff the air noticing that his opponent's scent came from behind him and would turn drawing his weapon while opening his eyes which thanks to Omito revealing himself would only confirm the truth of the matter namely Omito now being behind him. As a result he would cross the distance between them as his saber glowed with white chakra before stabbing him in the side. To Omito however it would appear as if Rai would emerge from part of the tree branch before preforming the stab. Either way he was aiming for nothing fatal but it would be very painful and a severe injury nonetheless with Rai trying to persuade his opponent to forfeit by virtue of sustaining a debilitating injury. Where he was stabbing was essentially through one of his kidneys but since Omito like all people would probably have two and could survive it, it would be pretty painful and make it hard to move his lower torso but it wouldn't kill him.

Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai]   Chunin Exams Finals (Match 1) [Omito vs Rai] Icon_minitime17th September 2015, 6:22 pm

Unfortunately when Omito used his genjutsu, it back fired on himself because now he found himself stuck in a genjutsu. The boy was ensnared in a tree. His right arm was extended with the kunai, and his left arm was stuck by his side. He knew that only the Dokusei could use nature release, so he knew he was in a genjutsu when he saw a tree grow rapidly out of the ground. He knew he had to break out so he pushed his left pinky finger against his thigh with C-rank, snapping the small finger, breaking him out of the genjutsu. After snapping out of the genjutsu Omito winced at the pain but managed to hold in the scream of pain.

After wincing from the pain, Omito saw the littler boy running towards him with some type of sword. He knew he had to do something so he wouldn't get stabbed. He could just fly up and dodge, but then he would lose the close range fight, which seemed like the better option at this point. He had to stop the attack and counter with his own. Omito would stay frozen so his opponent still thought he was stuck in the genjutsu, but once the opponent got close enough, Omito would dodge the stab by moving to the opposite sides at B-rank speeds. His left hand made a fist and it he would attempt swinging it into the right side of Rai's jaw. Because his pinky finger was broken Omito couldn't help but scream, "Aaaaagh!" Omito's arm would continue to move after it connected with Rai's jaw which would follow after it because of the ectoplasm that was now connecting the two. Rai's face would smash into the ground as Omito moved his fist lower. Hopefully the ectoplasm would surprise Rai and he would get caught off guard. After swinging the kid to the ground, Omito would throw the kunai that was in his right hand towards Rai's arm, backed with C-rank strength, trying to get him to let go of the saber. At the same time Omito would also spit out a small ball of ectoplasm that was traveling at C-rank speeds for the kid's head.

Rai didn't expect his opponent to break out of his technique that easily but he wasn't some push over in close ranged combat, and would react quickly to Omito's counter attack thanks to his reaction tiers moving his jaw back while switching his grib on his saber to a reverse grip. Because Omito kept his momentum Rai would bend his elbow holding his sword and instead stab upward at B-rank speeds aiming for his opponents arm that had just missed his cheek. It won't be that easy. Rai muttered just loud enough for Omito to hear him and regardless if the stab was successful or not Rai would pull back his left arm while spinning on his heel in order to position himself better.

Ibaragakure Hidden Secret Taijutsu Technique: One Thousand Years of Death! Rai would call out still holding his saber in a reverse grip yet managing to make the Tiger hand seal before attempt to insert both of his fingers into Omito's rear end to unleash this devastating technique. The stab to Omito's arm was more so a feint in order to get him to prioritize dodging and thus open himself up to getting hit by One Thousand Years of Death but it wasn't like Rai wouldn't take the opportunity to inflict a injury on his opponent if he could help it. Rai was backing this with his C-rank strength though so if it did connect it would send Omito flying upward most likely holding his behind as well due to it being...penetrated.

Omito's punch missed so as he was going through with the punch he saw Rai switch his grip on his sword. As the strike came towards Omito, the black haired boy would twist his body around at B-rank speeds, and would do a back flip after pushing off the ground with his right hand (After dropping the kunai) to get some space between him and his opponent, dodging the fingers that were coming or his anal region. Omito would stand across from his opponent, 10 feet away, his light sea green eyes looking into the kid's. "I have to say you are the toughest opponent I have ever faced..." Omito would then crack his knuckles, It doesn't matter though, because I will not lose here!" As he said this, Omito would vanish in the eyes of Rai because he would be caught in another genjutsu. This time Omito was confident that Rai wouldn't be able to tell it was a genjutsu since he disappeared earlier. This time though, Rai wouldn't be able to smell Omito, the only way he could find him was if he had D-rank mental sensory.

Immediately after disappearing, Omito would fly at B-rank speeds to right  in front of Rai. He would then swing his right fist upward into Rai's chin with C-rank strength. Rai would fly into the air unless he had an air movement technique equal to C-rank. Once in the air, Omito would do a front flip in the air before bringing his left leg into Rai's head, sending him flying back into the ground. While Rai was flying towards the ground, Omito would throw 2 kunai into the boy's back, backed with C-rank strength. Omito would land on the ground 20 feet away from Rai, wondering if his opponent would get up to continue fighting.

Rai would frown as his attack had missed, and when Omito withdrew he would shift his saber back into it's normal position as he lowered his stance a bit. He would proceed to look at his opponents face his eyes narrowing at Omito's comment before he would move forward only to halt as Omito vanished once more. That trick again, that's useless against m- Rai said sniffing the air only to pause in his retort because he couldn't smell where Omito was which meant some how his opponent had increased his ability to conceal himself. At least those were Rai's thoughts before he suddenly received a hit which launched him upward he still wouldn't let go of his father's sword though and would manage to open his eyes just in time to throw up a clumsy block using his saber and arms to try and protect his vitals sort of curling into a ball while in the air.

Still it wouldn't protect him seeing as Omito hadn't aimed for his torso but rather his head with him sustaining a second blow to further jostle his brain and cause him to plummet to the ground face down his sword falling away from his body. Rai would end up landing in a heap while the two kunai penetrated his flesh. He would become utterly still it seemed as if Omito while getting frustrated had actually dealt a potentially fatal blow to him judging by the rapidly expanding pool of blood emanating from Rai's body. Poof. The limp & bleeding body would be replaced with a log, it turns out that while he was facing away from Omito he had body replaced away and was now hiding behind one of the shrubs. Rai would grip his head before vomiting on the ground behind the shrug it felt like he had gotten a concussion and he was bleeding from both his chin and the part of his head which Omito had struck.

But he was still in this, he too had a reason for not giving up he had to continue on and promote to Chunin so that he could make his late father proud from beyond the grave. He would steady himself and then use the transformation technique to change himself into a garden snake before slithering so as to poke his head from under the bush to see if he could locate Omito. Such a technique had to have some sort of drawback maybe he could potentially hide and stall him out, that is unless Omito hadn't accidentally broken him out of the genjutsu when he was beating him up. Not that Rai had known he was in a genjutsu in the first place.

It felt so good to finally have his attacks land upon his target. The hits were hard ones too. Omito's eyes widened as more and more blood started running from the boy's body. The boy feared that he actually killed the kid, until a log was in the place of the body. Omito was going to get ready for a counter attack, but he remembered that his opponent still couldn't tell where he was because he was still stuck in the genjutsu. The hits from Omito would of broke him out of the genjutsu if it wasn't for Omito's haki. Omito would look around, searching for his opponent, his light sea green eyes scanning the battlefield.

Omito would smirk after he spotted something on the ground. It was a trail of blood that led over to the shrubbery against the stadium wall. He must have hit him hard enough to make some type of wound. It was about time to finish the fight. Omito would fly over to the area at B-rank speeds, about 10 feet above the ground. After flying over to the area, Omito wouldn't see another human hiding behind the shrub. The blood trail led to a snake that was peering around the bush, most likely looking for Omito, since that was most likely Rai. The snake was surrounded by blood. The boy would stomp down on the end of the snake with C-rank strength and B-rank speeds, hopefully it was in fact the kid so he could just forfeit after getting his legs smashed.

Rai would poke his head out still looking for his opponent when all of a sudden crunch and he would poof out of his transformed form into his normal form while holding his legs both of which had fractured thanks to whatever had impacted him. Now not only could he not see where his opponent was he likewise couldn't move all that good, he couldn't win this match he knew that but he didn't want to disgrace his fathers memory and give up. At least not while his saber was still at risk of being claimed by this guy, he had after all seen how he had taken that girls fan and he would sooner die than risk his father's blade being taken by someone else. Thus he would use his arms to push off the ground with C-rank strength in order to vault himself over to where his saber lay on the ground.

If he was successful he would pick it up and sheathe it before trying to push himself into a seated position only to end up fainting from both fatigue as well as the pain from all the injuries he sustained. Damn to think he had been beaten in the first round of the finals, guess he wasn't as prodigious as everyone had thought.

*In the Stands*

Jazz would be leaning forward both of her hands behind her head and resting on her neck while she propped herself on the railing with her elbows one of her legs arched and bouncing up and down as if she were bored. Even though her eyes were clearly on the match analyzing seeing as either of them could be her next opponent certain things both of them had showcased were good but that Omito guy was pretty cool. Invisibility, Flight, and whatever that odd gooey energy he flung out was she had to gather some of it for future studying. "Ara Ara I guess that's a wrap then. Was a fun match though was pretty close, guess I'm up next *yawns* still kind of sleepy though well fighting is the best way to wake up." Jazz said stretching and turning to look for a way down so that she could proceed down the stands to her own match. Either way this match was quite the eye opener the skill showcased was on a different level in comparison to the prelims that was for sure.

(Jazz Exit's into Match 2)

Omito would leap off the boy and on to the ground after crushing the boy's legs. He was happy to see the snake turn into Rai, which meant the match was nearly over. Omito thought the kid was going to keep fighting, but he ended up just trying to get his weapon back. He thought that the kid was a strong opponent and deserved to get his weapon back. Omito could of easily grabbed the sword before him, but he respected the kid to at least grab his weapon before he went down. When the kid collapsed, Omito would look around the stands as the crowd went crazy. They were obviously happy that the two shinobi gave a good show in the fight. Omito would release the genjutsu and would brush his clothing off before making his way back to the viewing area to watch he next match. He was happy to now that he beat his first opponent, but knew it was going to get harder with every fight. The next match was his teammate Cherish against a girl named Jazz. He didn't want to fight Cherish because she was on his team and he kind of liked her, but he also wanted her to win her match. Omito knew that he should just be happy about his victory though, he hoped he left a big enough impression on everyone to become a Chunin.
