Jonin Exams

This was the shifting marshlands and currently a large group had all gathered to see exactly what the exams would hold for them. There were three founds with the chance of a 4th round assuming the numbers were dropped down to a sizable amount. The first two rounds would be held here in the marshlands, the third round would be moved to Himeigakure while the preliminaries for the third round would occur in the forest. Standing on an elevated platform was a Himeigakure Elite Jonin and he was the head proctor for the first round. Listen up wannabes. I'm only gonna say this once. You lot want to be jonin, well you gotta get through my round. Honestly look at you all I can tell only half of you will make it to the next round and maybe a quarter of you will probably die in this swamp. That being said you aren't fucking genin and this isn't the Chunin Exams if yer gonna kill people you better not let any of the proctors seeing you land that killing blow or your disqualified. We won't be around a lot but we'll be checking other than that have fun and go crazy. you'll find the rules on the billboard behind me. he said before pausing with a sinsiter grin.

Oh yeah. One more thing, one person in your group is a mole. If they beat both of the people in their group before or after they have defeated one team, they move on to the next round. Or if the group beats 2 people they move to the next round. Note they can refuse to continue onward but they will have to defeat another 2 to qualify for the next round again. Carmen would return to where the proctor was, it would appear that she was the first one here. Unfortunately she wasn't able to fully kill everybody on her team but apparently she defeated them, thanks to Serenity's forfeit. Oh well, whatever helps her further her needs, that was all she worried about. So what next? She stood waiting, slowly getting impatient with waiting around for the other teams. Thinking about it she really should have went into other battlefields and searched for more immortals, undead, etc on the beings resting within darkness. Well that could wait till later.

Xander had arrived shortly after Carmen did having followed a different path due to wanting to scope out the remaining competition, he wouldn't say anything but he too was wondering exactly what was the next part of the exams this couldn't be it a waiting game till the others finished maybe there was some benefit to finishing earlier.  Perhaps not either way he would remain silent standing with his left hand in his pocket with his right resting on Basilisk's hilt. He would stay like that for some time however when the waiting spilled over into minutes he would pull out a cigarette filled with dubious contents and would stick it in his mouth before lighting it. He preferred to roll his tobacco himself rather than purchase those already in a pack as they were much less healthy than purchasing the natural leaves. It was a pity that Samuigakure made raising plants utter hell otherwise he would have his own tobacco plants at home at least then he could have a steady supply of leaves for him to smoke while likewise knowing exactly what was in his cigarettes.

Wolf King had split back into Wolf and King both of whom were looking around to see the competition, right now they only saw two other people as they had gotten there before Laxus, one of them was a Fushicho he could smell death and flames on her and her appearance was reminiscent of someone of that particular clan, on the other hand the other was a cypher who also reeked of death just in a different way than the girl. He would stay silent preferring to wait until Laxus got to them before saying anything or alerting the other two of his presence.

Laxus strolled into the clearing of the marshlands shortly after King and his now separate pet wolf. He had stopped along the way to make sure his scouts made it back to home base before taking off at A-rank speeds to catch up with Wolf King. Looking around he noted two individuals along with King. For some inexplicable reason a sense of dread and death overcame him as he looked at these two. They didn't look particularly scary, but they didn't exactly look friendly either. Probably best to stick with King until we know what we're up against in the next round. Sylvia chimed in and Laxus smiled, That's exactly what I was thinking, no need to get killed before the second round even starts. I'd like to survive these exams to be honest. Sylvia, Ariagnae, make sure everyone rests up while they can and prepare for the next round. This exam is much more dangerous than it looks. With that said to his queens, Laxus stepped up beside King, giving a respectful slight nod of acknowledgement to his teammate but nothing more.

Taishoku made it back to the meeting point; it seemed other teams had already made it their first. He would lean against a tree as he waiting for his teammates to get here, while he waited he started to get paranoid about the second round of the exams. The thought of him possible getting caught of guard again, irritated him, so he decided to prepare. Taishoku would pull out a bone,making into the shape of a ball, from his body and sticks it in his gourd.Preparing for what was to come wasn't against the rules so Taishoku was worried about anyone saying anything to him about it, even though he might have given away that he was a kurgane. But that was if people didn't notice the large gourd on his back. As Taishoku continued to wait for his teammates, he scanned around looking at the others who were already here. He only knew one person, because use he also was a Plague of Hakagakure, everyone else he had never seen in his life. Taishoku still had the cylinder he was given by Tierno, the ambush from earlier stopping him from giving it to him.

Back to the meeting point Asura had trudged, her team had managed to win without any losses but they were the last group to actually reach the meeting area. "Bloody hell, took us that long?" She muttered to herself with a sigh, reaching up to rub her eyes. She shook her head and then walked over to the nearest standing object, be that a wall, a tree or some sort of ancient, cursed monolith and if the ground underneath was dry she'd sit down against it. If the ground wasn't dry, she'd climb it and sit on top of it, watching the others. Her Itsugan was switched off and her blindfold replaced so that she looked a little less threatening than normal. With that done though she started to clean her bow and arrows, wiping the blood and grime from then and sighing quietly. "Hopefully the next round will be smoother, less wounds," Asura shook her head and then lay back against whatever she was against/in and yawned quietly, waiting for the next round to start so that she could move on.

Tierno was finally done cleaning up his mess, after all he was a representative of his nation and his clan. He would seem rude to leave a bunch of fires he started running a blaze. He reached the meeting point last out of his team, rightfully so anyway. He found them near a tree and approached them. Apparently we're the last group... Their's a lot less people than when we started. Well let's just hope that the losing teams aren't all dead... He let out a sigh as he looked around to the remaining people. He wondered what the second round entailed... Well either way he would simply put his mind that it could be anything. For some odd reason he hoped it would be creature hunting, cause let's face it. Shinobi on Shinobi fighting was so drab and frankly has been done to death. Instead of killing each other let's catch some monsters! Or at least that's what he had in mind. Knowing the narrow mindedness of what had happened in his Chunin exam, it'll most likely be a death battle or something.

Ah so it seems some of you actually have what it takes to succeed. Good, It seems there are only ten of you left. Let's see Carmen, Xander, King, Laxus, Asura, Tierno, Taishoku, Midori, Damascus, Melody Blake and Jack. The Proctor said as he pulled out a clipboard and would flutter through pages listing of the names as they came as well as exactly what they did during the battles. He would smile savagely before staring at Midori, then Xander and finally Carmen. You three, were the moles in your groups, and you managed to dispatch both of your teammates to earn your qualification. As a result you three are all promoted to Jonin rank. 9 remain. You will all choose numbers. To represent yourself. Then three numbers first choice, second choice, third choice. All different to determine who exactly will you team with in the endeavor. he said as he waited for the three he chose earlier to separate themselves from the main group before receiving orders from their superiors.

The object of this wrong is Information Gathering. Once the teams have been formed consisting of three members. One of you will be given a code word which you may or may not reveal to your teammates. The other teams are unable to use lethal force or even injure the one holding said code word in order to obtain such information. However the person who has the code word will not be revealed from the get go. The other two team members are able to be injured however like before if you are seen killing not only will you be disqualified but your team members will be as well. In addition will be additional instructions depending on your role within your group, likewise it is up to you to tell your teammates what these are or not. he said before clearing his throat and waiting for them to process his instructions.

Really, she became jonin and all it took was fighting against her own team. Unfortunately she wasn't able to get rid of them in the way she wished but those things happen. However she will make note to personally hunt down Serenity and kill her, considering she happened to escape Carmen's grasp. Now that, that is done. The rest of you have fun. Carmen would say actually have listened to what would occur during the next round. She started off excited but upon hearing no damage could befall the others quickly became depressed. Now with no interest she would take off in a random direction to officially claim her title from whoever would give it to her.
