Evil Seen, Evil Hunted [C-Rank Mission]

Mission Info:

It was growing closer to nightfall at the moment, though Kirai only knew that because foot traffic was slowing down around in her in one of the main thoroughfares of Dipugakure. She leaned against the wall, noticing and tracking the faint electrical signals around her as they moved about their lives. She was less hateful than she had been in the past, watching people with envy, disgusted by the happiness and ease of living they had. These days however things had improved considerably, she had someone that loved her, she had somewhere to live, she was advancing in the Republic and she was even a member of the ANBU. All of that brought great peace to her mind, though there was still hate lurking beneath, it was much more concentrated though.

She had told Iolana exactly where to meet her and Kirai pulled out the mission scroll again, running her fingers over the braille on the page to get the mission info again. Apparently there had been some bad gang recruitment around here, people were getting pulled into rough groups, there was even word that some of the people doing this were Missing Nin lurking within the village itself. Kirai grit her teeth at that thought and nodded before putting the scroll away and waiting for her best friend to show up.

Iolana would have been humming along if she actually could, a light little bob of her head side to side as she walked. Checking out a new store she found was perfect, finding a lovely little milkshake stand running a grand opening campaign she just had to get two. A lovely surprise of a mystery flavour~ Though it did also mean she wasn't even sure what was in it, only that the one being saved for Kirai smelled more creamy than anything. Her own was definitely mango and strawberry. Flavours she knew pretty well.

Finding Kirai wasn't even that hard, she was quite an easy find even on a hard day. Though without her hands she couldnt' really sign a hello, not that she didn't also know Kirai would recognise the electrical wavelength from a mile off either. And so, with a smile she hopped herself in to the spot in front of Kirai and offered the cold drink out to her, all whilst sipping her own with the only noise from the blonde being the draining slurp from the straw.

There she was. The moment Iolana's electrical signature appeared in Kirai's 'sight' she knew who it was, she'd spent way too long paying close attention to that signature for both embarrassing and non-embarrassing reasons. Kirai could feel a blush starting to form but she coughed and shook her head to get rid of it before hopping to her feet and shaking herself out. She was kitted up for combat with multiple holsters for kunai and shuriken on her thighs and her biceps. She could also feel the metal of her ninja wire under the holster digging into her thigh and she reached down to adjust it.

Once Lana was close enough, Kirai gave her a bright grin and reached out to take the milkshake from her before stepping in and giving her a hug. "Hey hey Lana, ya ready to get this show on the road?" Kirai stepped back and took a big sip from her milkshake. Her eyebrows furrowed for a moment and she tilted the milkshake as though to look at it but of course she couldn't see it. So she just took another drink. She literally had no idea what the flavour was but it was pretty tasty, definitely cream-ish but she was happy with it. "You been doin' okay?" She asked, starting to slowly walk towards one of the rougher parts of the Main Island.

Lana was more than happy to receive the hug once the drink was taken from her, one of the few people she was happy to just plain be affectionate with. <"Always,"> Signing with only one hand was still something she was learning, so for the most part was stuck to simple phrases. It didn't really dawn on her exactly why it worked out the way it did, she just never really had to learn. Draining most of the remainder of her own helped that though as Lana was able to toss the cup in to the trash at the first moment. <"Learning new stuff, you know?"> There was a slight spring in the way she walked, if Kirai could see there would also have been a coy smirk she couldn't help but hiding. <"Having a mentor just means I have to work extra hard. Gotta work my ass off harder than the ladies on the corner."> Ok maybe she couldn't hide the news too long.

It took a few moments for it to twig for Kirai just what Iolana was saying. She finished off her own milkshake and tossed it before tilting her head slightly and then giving Lana a gentle nudge with her elbow. "A mentor? You go and get yourself a sensei somewhere? Where did ya find them?" She asked, sticking her tongue out. "Wonder if there's a Sensei-store out there somewhere, just go in and take the one ya want off the shelves, yeah?" She chuckled quietly before crossing her arms across her chest and tilting her head to let Lana know she was giving her full attention. "So tell me about 'em, they been treating you alright, do I need to go fuck with them while they sleep or something?" She probably wouldn't do that but if someone was treating Lana wrong then Kirai would definitely find something to do about it, no one treated her best friend poorly. She was genuinely happy for Lana though, after all having that kinda balanced out that Kirai was being trained by the ANBU and Kirai couldn't tell her, that always stung a bit but if she had someone else looking out for her that was good.
