Visiting the Land Of Graves [diana/Gado]

Gado was currently serving as the guardian shinobi with the daimyo, but he still had some time to himself to maybe visit the village that his ancestors once lives at. Gado never been there, but he figured that he could learn a little more history about the people that were related to him in the past. It was more or less of a day trip and he was to head back in order to continue his duty. But in the meantime,  Gado was confident that the people who were already there would be good without him. They were before, so he hoped they wouldn't mind that.

"Hm..."

Ever since the events of the chunin exams Diana had been training nonstop in order to get to a level she deemed acceptable for her current rank. Though she wasn’t Tokubetsu Jonin yet she was working hard to achieve the rank so her days were busy and her nights were for resting. Which meant she didn’t have much time for anyone these days or even Praise since their different promotions caused them to not see each other at all which made her feel a bit sad now that she thought about it. “I should call her.” Diana said out loud to herself as she walked the streets of Hakagakure. She’d immediately notice some trinkets being sold and immediately thought to buy something for Praise when she surprised her. Stroking her chin she would look over the wares of the saleswoman.

"Hm? Don't I know you?"

Gado would say out loud as he started to approach Diana. From the time that he had the chunin exams, he took a whiff of everyone's cent that was in the testing room. For better or worse, he was running into someone who provided great adversity to Kotone from that Jielko group. This was the person that Kotone Zakiyoshi lost to, which made Gado wonder just how strong she was.

"Diana right? You are with all of those talented people if I remember. Small world, what are you doing here?"

Having found a suitable gift for Praise, Diana would cough up the amount of xel it had cost and placed it in her pockets. Before she could leave, however, a not so familiar voice called out to her. “Hm? Oh! You’re Gado.” Diana said remembering his face from when they fought in the chunin exams. She wasn’t sure why he thought she was talented since her partner did most of the carrying that entire round but she was happy she was able to get out of it without a scratch because of her. “It’s been a while. Then again I hardly see my own teammates these days. What brings you here? Should you be off with the other Guardian dudes?” She asked as she was a bit curious about the enter Guardian thing.

"I don't know, I guess I seemed a bit tense all the time so they sent me to do some errands for them as a bit of a break. I am supposed to return so it's not like I'll be here all week."

Taking a look at the present, Gado would have a bit of a small smile.

"A gift huh? It must be someone you really care bout? Well, I mean...I don't talk much..but I like seeing these things. The fact that some of the shinobi I ran into are seemingly living happier lives is a good thing. "


There wasn't much going on with his position.

"Things kind of remained the same for me, protecting the Daimyo. "

Diana’s eyebrow would rise having heard his explanation. He never seemed like the one to be tense about anything but then again she didn’t know anything about him and she wasn’t the best judge of characters so that would explain why she was wrong. “Tense about what though? The whole being responsible for the life of some important figurehead?” She said as that would be the reason why she would be a bit nervous about the new position.

“Yeah, it’s a gift for my girlfriend. You guys got the same promotion to Guardian Shinobi” She said with a smile as the image of Praise popped up in her head. She had plenty to share with her now considering all the things she’d been going through and the thought of spending time with her made her happy.

“I see, well I’m working on getting promoted to Tokubetsu Jonin, although being a Guardian Shinobi sounds much cooler.”

"Well yeah, that's the lord of the land. Can't be too careful with people. They might pretend to be your friend or something, but honestly, this is a position where I can compromise a lot of things if i act carelessly. I have a lot of ideas in my head that I take into account, it stresses me out sometimes."

Gado really wished that he had something to eat, it wasn't like it goes anywhere anyway.

"Girlfriend ....Praise is your girlfriend?!!! Praise Phantom? Huh, you guys must be really happy. Congratulations."

But deep down inside there were the tears of a young boy who has yet to even have a girlfriend yet! What kind of man was he anyway?!

"The guardian shinobi is like a tight nit family that all serve the same goal. I'm more than happy that my skills are being put to good use. But have you seen praise since then or does she not get time off like i do?"

“Damn that sounds terrible.” Diana said having heard the sort of life he had to be living. Thankfully, as an ANBU she had the ability to live her life in shadows without having the stress of wondering if anyone is befriending you for nefarious reasons. Then again being an ANBU member will come with its own stresses but she should be able to handle it herself.

“Haha, yeah she is. I’d like to think we are. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen each other in a while due to her whole Guardian Shinboi thing and my erm, other duties I have to attend to. But I’m planning on visiting her soon so that we can catch up. Can’t have a good relationship with actually spending time with each other now can we? ”

"What exactly happened to you after the exams? Were you promoted to any corps or anything like that? Or is it a secret? if it's a secret, then that's understandable. There are some things that I'm not allowed to tell anyone either, so we do have that in common at least. The fact that we might have to hide some stuff for people outside that circle, even though we care for them. "

In regards to the visit, Gado nodded kindly.

"That would be nice, even though the Daiymo would have to permit your presence. Eben if it is based off the word of their vassals, they are really strict towards visitations since it's a place that's based on the safety and security of the person they are supposed to protect. Maybe she can visit you instead? I heard Dipu is really good in the summer time, I was born there."

Well, he was right as it was a secret, and even if she wanted to hint at anything regarding her promotion she couldn’t. Why? Because her ANBU tattoo restricted her from saying anything, which was a bit cool and a bit scary, to say the least. “Nothing really happened to be honest. I could’ve gone to the hunter corps but I decided just to stick with the probationary rank up until I figure out what exactly I want to do in life. You see I never really planned ahead and I basically got ahead by sheer luck so now I’m taking the time to properly plan out my next move. Who knows! I might even go for Kage! Could be fun.” She said with a smile as she was technically telling the truth.

“Damn they’re that strict huh? Maybe I’d have to stick to sending her letters for the time being.” She said deflated as she really wanted to see what everything was about but she’d just have to settle for stories.

"No, I don't believe you should, stick to letters. A man should be on the offensive in the battle of love! Just show up and be courteous and respectful, Praise might do a showing of loyalty like promising to off herself to some of those rumored punishments when you fail. Regardless of whether it's your fault or not, there is that lingering idea in the back of our minds. But hey, if it really is love, she would promise to do this or take care of you herself if you pose a danger to the current....besides you...most important person in her life. With such a show of belief in what you two have, I'm sure the daiymo would accept the visit."

Taking out a make-out tactics book, Gado would scratch his head a bit as he flipped through the pages. After stopping at the page, he would show it Diana with pride.

"See, this book is the golden secret of relationships. It has all of these amazing lines, and ahh..... among other stuff. But romance definitely!"

In a way, Gado seemed more animated talking about the book.

But… I’m a girl not a boy. Diana thought as he rambled on about love and passion. Honestly, she was taken aback on how his entire demeanor suddenly changed and is quite scary. Diana would take the book from Gado but the moment she looked at the cover something dawned on her. “Hey, I know what this is. My guardian has a collection. Are you even old enough to read this?” She questioned him as the reason she knew that was because when she was buying him as a gift the clerk had told her she needed to show him ID in order for her to purchase them so she had to ask someone else to do it for her.

"Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

Gado hunkered down as if he was hiding from someone as he whispered to Diana.

"I managed to fake my age somehow, but they bought it! I guess they just looked at my sash and gave it to me so maybe that means i can finally access the adult books."

This was Gado not realizing that maybe being a guardian shinobi played a role in him getting access to those books.

"I even got a discount, man...this must be my lucky day?!!! Maybe?!"

She searched for the words to say to him but nothing came to mind. It wasn’t strange for a boy his age to be interested in things like these and to be honest she was kind of interested in the contents of the book herself. “Hmm. Alright, let’s see what this book is all about then yeah?” She finally said hoping the book would actually help make her a better partner. After all, Zhao had eight girlfriends scattered across the republic of five so clearly, he was doing something right by reading these books. “So are we going to look through it in the middle of the street or are we going to find someplace secluded?”

"No, no, no! Middle of the street is a no go, what we need is a super-secret place to read these at. " Thinking it over a bit, Gado snapped his finger as soon as he figured out where he wanted to go. "I am renting a room for a few days before going back, you can hang out there with me if you want. Plus if i said you were my guess and invited you to have lunch with m at the resort, it wouldn't be a big deal. Oh, you can see my book collection too, it's like a treasure trove." Getting a little giddy now as he led the way, he wondered if Diana also had something like that. "Do you also collect stuff?"

She was uncomfortable at the thought of being alone with Gado in a room reading what was essentially pornographic material but it wasn’t like they had much choice since reading it in the middle of the street would make them look like a bunch of degenerates. Plus he was so excited to show her his collection so maybe it would be fine after all he didn’t seem like the type to try anything funny. “Umm. I collect swords that’s about it” She said a bit embarrassed that she didn’t really have much of a personal life outside of training and going on missions which was a bit sad.

"Huh? Well, no need to worry. I like to think of myself as a very hospitable person. My friends are all over, I think Akira is one of the more famous ones. He manages to make it into the medical division and is doing a lot of secret but cool things. But either way, I'm on vacation and I'm mostly spending it alone, it's good to have some company. " Even with the daiymo paying him for his services, Gado couldn't help but be a little lonely at times. He hoped that something would change in order to make up for the extra time, but nothing was keeping his interest so far. "What made you get into swords? Is it more of the family that likes kenjutsu or did you like the old action stories of the people who use samurai swords? Those are always fun, oh, here is my room until I return to my duties."

After walking in, Gado opened one of the floorboards and revealed a box full of dirty magazines and the more adult novels of makeout paradise. "Even though you are a girl, I figured I'll share some of my treasure with you. The secret to how to talk to girls and romance is all in these books. I know some people might judge but there is actually a plot that exists in these, ya know? Check one out, tell me what you think! I actually made a secret submission in one of those short story contests. I believe in building my self-confidence in doing things that might even seem embarrassing."

She didn’t know who this Akira person was but that was mainly because she kept to herself and the only persons she cared about were her uncle Zhao and of course Praise. Anyone outside that was just a passing memory to her, sure she’d remember a face or two knowing who’s famous or who is talented? Nah she didn’t care about all that. “What made me go into swords? Well, I guess I was just destined to like them because of the family I was born into. Was born with a sword in my hand and will likely die with one too.” She with a smile on her face as she couldn’t imagine anything better than dying on the battlefield with a sword in her hand.

Upon entering, Diana would take a seat on the floor with her legs crossed before picking out a book that seemed the most interesting cover wise. It was a bit embarrassing that she was all alone with a boy reading smut. What would praise thing about this? Letting out a sigh, she would begin skimming through the would cringe at some of the scenes but would nod in approval at some. “I mean, though most of it just seems to be something only a pervert would enjoy it does have some actual usual information. "

"Well, you can be buried with your sword and be subjected to some graverobber. or you can pass o your sword to any kids if you feel like you would want to be a mom someday. But most of all, i'd like to believe that being able to die surrounded by family is a good thing. You can honor your family's....tradition, but you wouldn't need a sword for family time. Right?"

At least Gado tried to put a positive spin on it. His place glowed, even more, when Diana mentioned the useful information.

"Yes, it has a lot of priceless valuables in the pages. Like the latest perfume, a woman likes, clothing for outgoings, and seduction. In all honesty, this can be useful to everyone if you tried to read between the lines of the sexy pictures. I got to say though, I think lighting Jutsu is pretty cool, can you move super fast and stuff? "

Diana never thought about becoming a mother before in truth, in fact ever since Zhao had attempted to educate her on the wonders of sex especially with her condition she just believed that she would remain a virgin for the rest of her life. “Actually, family time usually involves swords from what I was told from my guardian but I do get what you’re saying.” She said thinking about what her family with her and Praise would like with them being from two completely different backgrounds but just the thought of Praise having her babies would be amazing.

She’d take a look at the pages filled with all beautiful women, expensive clothes, and perfume but wasn’t really interested in any of things. Maybe it was due to how she was raised but none of those things seemed like something she would wear, in fact, she was almost disgusted. “Huh? Yeah, lightning is pretty neat and I am pretty fast. Probably one of the fast of the last genin batch to be fair.”

"OOufff, I never thought of you as such a fashionista. I can kind of see it on your face a it. I mean your poker face is good, but after you had 101 pickup lines fail because you are kind of handsome so it's more of a"yes but maybe no", you will see that their facial expressions don't change much!! Ha, but I'm not that much of a cornball, it was researched and they laughed at me. " Pouting a bit, Gado put the magazine away and searched for something else in his treasure trove. "How about.....the samurai girl's edition? They tend to be wearing unique clothes, if unique was another word for skimpy. But the blades were nice."

"Lightning huh, I always that was a cool chakra nature, people are just born with what they have, I think if you combine it with water you can really get people since it conducts, splash and blast. But I'm no jonin so it's not like I can instruct. Oh, Now that I think about it, was there someone tied or faster than you?"

Diana couldn’t help but cringe after seeing the lewd outfits that they were wearing. One was wearing just a sweater, another was wearing a skirt short enough that even the lightest breeze would expose her underwear and another was just in her underwear, clearly these women were just posing with a sword to come off as cool to young boys because this is just ridiculous. “Yeah… No thanks this is a bit too much.” She finally said after finding the strength to respond after nearly dying of cringe.

“Well there are a few ways to actually gain elements thanks to Fuinjutsu but that’s a long and complicated topic.” Diana said recalling something she had seen Praise do a while back before Indra had decided to leave with what’s his face and his crew. “Hm to be honest I don’t know. Praise is pretty fast with her gates but to be honest I haven’t even reached the pinnacle of speed as yet so who knows?”

"I'm actually not that fast either so that's a whole new world that I could never approach. You are unique in your own right and quite frankly, I'm honestly looking forward to what you can achieve. When I'm not too busy and we both have some time, it would be good for us to have some sparring gin. We are basically the turtle and the hare. Hy problem would be, how can i even combat a person that's way too fast for me haha. Fopr you, i guess it's hitting so hard that defenses don't matter, or making the first strike count and leave a deliberating effect that opens the path for you to win."

Thinking about it and putting the magazine away after getting the picture. Gado thought of something new.

"What if you surround yourself with lightning? Like an aura or armor or something?"

Diana would immediately recall the fight that they had in the Chunin Exams. Though she was indeed faster he was practically immune to everything she and her partner had thrown at him and he simply shrugged it off that and that strange technique he used to block that Zakiyoshi’s strongest move. The only way she could possibly even hurt him as if she used that technique and well, that would be a bit too much but it would actually be interesting, to say the least. “Sure, maybe one day we can do that.” She said with a smile as she thought the challenge would make her better. “Hm? Do you mean the lightning armor technique? Yeah, I know of them I plan on learning them both in the future honestly.”

"Well, if you want to test out any techniques, I'll be down to spar with you at any time. This way, we both can get better. Plus, I would want to be apart of the history of one of the greatest swordsman of my current generation if this is something you are going for. You were moving like "zoom" and "woosh", so you definitely have the sound effects behind you whenever you move around. "Diana of the Crackling Blade, the sound of lightning follows her footsteps." Heck, you can even be a manga character, but if i draw it there has to be a little....teeny..tiny...erogeinitsorry!!! **cough*"

Moving on.

"But I'll still do it some justice, in the future perhaps. The lightning armor with your sword techniques, if lightning armor focuses on the body, maybe a variation of lightning aura can be a chakra circulate based technique that's dependent on the sword if it can hold the charge, or handle it. And it'll have a bunch of lighting, it'll be cool...oh I'm rambling haha. Sorry...umm... if I can definitely send word to your lady. I don't think they would turn me away if it was a brief visit to send a message if you ever wanted me to do you a favor.
