Chunin Exams: Part 2 Course 5 Team Seven vs Team Ten Empty
PostSubject: Chunin Exams: Part 2 Course 5 Team Seven vs Team Ten   Chunin Exams: Part 2 Course 5 Team Seven vs Team Ten Icon_minitime26th March 2020, 12:33 pm

he Obstacle Courses were set and Team Ten were standing and waiting for them, it seemed as if these individuals were more interested in talking amongst themselves than regarding their opponents. There was a girl crouched and tracing her fingers along the floor seemingly more interested in it thank looking at her opponents whereas one of her teammates who was completely decked out in a hook, cloak and other supplies would stare impassively at Team Seven when they eventually entered. The last member of the squad had a shirt with a high collar with sleeves that extended over his hands and a bag on his back who would initially look at the proctor before turning to glance at Team Seven when they entered.

The obstacle course before them was fully set up, 3 challenges in total that they had to overcome in order to reach the end and the Proctor walked in front of both teams before speaking.

"So, 3 Obstacles to clear to reach the end. This is not pass/fail just like the Written Exam. Speed, ingenuity in clearing the challenges and sabotage of the enemy team will result in points being awarded which will aid your progress in getting promoted at the end of all of this. There is one last check being done and then it'll be time to run the course. I hope everyone is prepared." The Proctor then turned and left, going back to speak to the groups creating the obstacles and waited for each of them to step to the two podiums so that they begin.

Well it was time for the next part of the exam. Seiko walked over to where the obstacle course had been set up and looked over to check out the other team that they were taking on. A number designation, just like her own team, nice and simple... A lot had been told about them already. They were the Capture and Interrogation team after all. A slight smile, only a little predatory, slipped onto her features as she turned towards her teammates, waiting for them to catch up.

"I trust both of you in any tactics you will perform. I will be doing my usual and running interference." She said to them with a firm nod. They were the balanced team and she knew each of her teammates could fulfil various roles so she was happy to sit back and let them deal with things and support their actions, it would allow her to watch her opponents more and learn more about her own team and how better to synergise with them for the upcoming exam parts.

Speed... Right.. Something Taigakai didn't have. He sighed. At least his stuff was more background anyways. As long as Seiko and Mei kept the other team off him, he'd be able to do some work. He had to stay on guard regardless, in case any slipped by. "You think we should plan a little before this actually kicks off?" Even if the plan doesn't work all the way through, he didn't want his jutsu to clash with Mei's at the very least.

"I think you both know my usual tactic." Mei stated rather simply walking in to place with her team. Her knuckles cracked, and she jerked her head side to side to ready herself. "But I have had some new improvements since last. Hopefully I can show my tactics have spread away from simply throwing crystals,"

The platforms would shift before moving so that they were vertical columns spaced about 10 feet apart with both tracks being about twenty feet away from each other. There were five in total and it was obvious that they were meant to conquer these obstacles especially when the columns would start to move up and down at D- speeds. The one in the hood would snap his fingers causing the girl who was on the ground drawing up get up with a sigh before continuing forward to reach the platform, likewise the one with the high collar would move forward and his bag would start to open up causing a dark curtain to start to emerge from it and a distinct buzzing to fill the air. Hoodie would be the first to head out jumping and clouds would form underneath him despite not assist with his jump with them changing color and then moving upward towards Team Seven's side of the field. He would land on the first platform and leap off to the next one as Baggie followed after him while Artist would jump off and reach out with her arm extending forward till she could touch the platform and then she would retract herself towards her hand allowing her to reach it at the same time as Baggie.

The dark curtain would continue to swarm before moving forward not crossing over but instead would start to hover in between the two teams buzzing rapidly and all in all spreading out so that they reached all the way to the end of each of the platforms. As for the clouds they would change from white to a light red after they paired up and merged all the while moving downward so that they were below the platforms of Team Seven despite not interacting with them.

As the other team moved into position, Seiko reached down and slipped her shoes off, tossing them off the side of the obstacle course, leaving her barefoot. Then the whistle went and she jogged forwards at C-Rank- speeds, glancing to the side and performing a series of hand-seals, her foot twisting slightly as she done so. She finished the seals with a slide along her arm, causing a Golem to appear next to her which she tapped gently.

As her foot twisted during her movement, several things would happen at once. A series of chains erupted from the earth to grab Hoodie and drag him back down. Then a series of walls would erupt around Baggie and his bugs, moving incredibly quickly until they struck one another, sealing him in. The stone that made them then turned dark and solidified, hopefully keeping him and his bugs locked in place.

She hopped up onto the first column and flicked her fingers before hopping to the next. Her Golem reached down and ripped a chunk out of the ground before tossing it with A-Rank+ Strength to try and slam into Hoodie while he was dealing with the chains, hopefully removing him straight away. She'd leave the last one to the other members of her team and hope they also dealt with the clouds that were moving across their side of the field.

Great the stage was basically everything against what Taigakai was geared for. He sighed with a puff of mist escaping his lips, almost looking really drained all of a sudden. He was practically going to be a chicken running around after its head was chopped off. What a pain. Just when he thought he'd be able to do something and then he's faced with this. Though, something like this was bound to happen, he supposed. He followed Seiko's lead, keeping up at C-rank speeds. Though if they moved any faster, they'd easily leave him in the dust.

Taigakai gathered up some chakra, metal snow coming out of the gourd and packing into the shape of a snowball. Hopefully he could keep it hidden long enough that this wasn't just a fancy container of snow and ice. Though the signature gourd probably was a telling sign already. Oh well. Taigakai lobbed the ball of snow at C-rank speeds, aiming to try to hit someone on the other side or somewhere near them.

Mei felt getting through the course would be a little more difficult, but stopping the opponents, that was easy. With Seiko effectively taking two out of the game, she was focused on the other, Artist. Running along after her team her eyes fixed on Artist, and after the necessary seals, she clapped her hands together, creating a casing of crystal rapidly forming around them. If this all worked, then Team Seven just took Team Ten out of the race.

Hoodie would let out a high pitched scream as chains emerged from the earth that grabbed him and pulled him downward he would try to hit the chains multiple times but unfortunately he realized quickly that he wouldn't be breaking out of these chains. Meanwhile Hoodie would sigh before emerging from the prison as he moved through the earth, he didn't realize he'd run into someone else with an Earth affinity but fortunately such a thing couldn't hold him for long nor his kikaichu which would spill out of his body once he emerged from the prison. They had returned inside him once the prison formed around them so that they could emerge when Hoodie escaped, however upon emerging he would see that his two teammates had been trapped, one by chains and the other encased in crystals. This just wouldn't do and he would send two swarms of kikaichu to both of them, the kikaichu which were on the crystal encasing artist would work double time trying to drain the chakra out of the technique while the ones on the chains would try to do the same hopefully that would be enough to free them. This would allow Hoodie to continue forward to leap onto one of the pillars.

Seiko hopped to the next platform, her Golem hopping up next to her as she looked over to the other side of the field, a slight frown hitting her features. "Earth release user, watch for him." He said to her team before flicking her wrist, a long cylinder of metal appearing in her hand which sparked with lightning. She handed it to her golem who proceeded to toss it to the other side of the field while Seiko used her strength and speed together to make it to the third platform.

As the cylinder flew over to the other field, it flared with energy and a soldier of crackling lightning appeared, dropping to the ground next to Artist. The Sentinel then moved forwards, taking a swing at Baggie before moving past him to attack the cloud of insects moving to Artist to destroy them before they could remove the prison. The ones attacking Seiko's shackles could be ignored as that manipulation wasn't done via chakra and thus the chakra draining nature of the kikaichu couldn't affect it.

"Taigakai, please attack and destroy any further clouds of insects. They are quite dangerous. Thank you."
She said, flashing the boy a smile.

Taigakai didn't seem to enjoy having to be literal pest control. This was because he could deal with lightning and ice, wasn't it? He stared back at Seiko with a look of 'but why though' and then sighed, looking around for the insects with a newfound focus of something to do with this awful terrain.

He eyed a cloud that was the closest to them and turns towards them, still hopping on the moving logs to keep in pace as he went through the needed seals and holding his hands out in the direction of the cloud of insects, bright shards of electric light firing out of his fingertips. He guessed this made him some kind of weatherman, and he decided the weather was going to get stormy.

Mei watched as the opponents were being incapacitated, and in turn, how the effects of her crystals would take hold of them. The insects that would try to eat through the chakra that comprised the crystals would find they were instead just being burned the moment they made contact, as did the occupant within the crystal prison. Next she just had a... well she hated it but apparently it was a handy technique for such a strange situation. Briefly increasing her rate of breathing she ran along twisting her ankle so slightly until she was ready to slip out, and then kicking. Disrupt, and slow, that was the goal to winning this. Her shoe slipped off, and soared across the field at 'Hoodie' to smack him.
