Genjutsu 101 - Class F

It was time for some more Genjutsu and Django was on the job ready to teach these newbie chumps how to dominate someone in mental combat. Currently he was sitting on his desk, one leg crossed over the other and leaning back onto his palms, his head leaning backwards as he stared up at the ceiling. Having nearly memorised the names on the list already, he was calling them out and receiving mostly affirmatives although there was one missing, probably ill or something considering what had happened not too long ago. Never the less, he ended the list with the last couple of names that were there. "Daichi Akarui... Neo T. Arashi... and Ana Jiko..." He finished, giving enough time for affirmatives before sitting up.

Neo sat at the back away from others setting up his things neatly as he responded to the instructor. "Here." After having given proof of his attendance, Neo sat as still as stone with his arms crossed, his one visible eye locked onto the front of the room. Genjutsu, It was interesting to say in the least, this should be fun in a sense, something with a vast potentiality and broad use.

Ana entered the classroom "Ana Jiko here" she looks around and sees Neo "him again...." she sits in the front and waits for class to begin. Unlike ninjutsu, genjutsu was something she was interested in as it would a great help for her.

Well now that everyone had filed in, Django scratched his chin once or twice before realising that one more name never responded. "Hmph, another one ill or late, how disappointing." He grunted and leaned forwards and over the edge of the desk, staring out over the rest of the class. "So you kids are here to learn about the arts of Genjutsu. If you have any questions feel free to raise your hand so that I can enlighten you. Other than that, I will go on with the class." Turning, he quickly wrote up the word GENJUTSU on the board and looked over his shoulder. "Now Genjutsu, or Gen as it is shortened to occasionally, is a mainly mental based combat base. It can be used to disorientate opponents, cause them to cower in fear or even put them into comas in the case of higher level genjutsu techniques. Now, Genjutsu, unlike most Ninjutsu, can be chained together to increase the power of the Genjutsu used in the chain. Someone tell me one of the ways of breaking a genjutsu and tell me how it works."He asked, leaning against his desk once more and watching the class waiting for answers.

Neo's single eye blinked as he listened, waiting for someone to respond, the small silence causing Neo to speak up despite his wishes. "Methods vary, some races or individuals have natural resistance or ways of reversing and breaking gen, and there are pain inflicting methods, however again, some races lack the ability to feel such." His answer was broad and open, inviting someone to respond with the other methods rather then simply saying them all himself. Neo leaned back on his chair, once again, waiting.

Wondering about what Neo said about some races lacking abilities to feel pain. "If they lack pain, then wouldn't that be a weakness for them when in a genjutsu?" she asked. "Anyway, genjutsu can also be broken by a dojutsu, overriding by using a stronger genjutsu than the opponent. or a kai"

"Both are quite correct actually. Soulless have a complete immunity to Genjutsu and Dakar have Genjutsu resistance depending on the power of the Genjutsu." He gave a nod to Neo and smiled before looking over at Ana and nodding as well. "Correct, dojutsu can break out of Genjutsu possibly by being able to see through it or whatnot and countering the Chain with another one works just as well. Although now I need to ask you, Ana, what is a Kai?" He raised an eyebrow and leaned back against the desk. If she didn't know the answer he would gladly give her it but he wanted to see if she knew anything else about genjutsu.

Neo sat silently as the question wasn't directed towards himself, watching the girl as he waited of his answer. he stood a little too still, but at least his glare wasn't a dangerous one like the last class they had together. It was just that time of the month.

"Kai is used to get out of genjutsu. It is used when the user stops the flow of chakra from their body and then uses a stronger power to counter the genjutsu to get out of it" Ana replies.

"Not quite Ana, it was close but not quite correct. A Kai is actually when you reset the chakra flow in your body to counteract the disruption of the chakra flow to the brain that causes a genjutsu to have an effect. It was a nice try though." Django gave her a smile and then walked around behind his desk and rested his arms across it. "So then, we know about Dojutsu breaking, Kai and immunity. Now, there are several ways of triggering a Genjutsu, who can tell me some of these ways? You need to tell me at least two for me to tell you whether or not you're correct and if you get more than two correct I'll give you bonus points." He grinned and then waited for the answers.
