The Brains, the Brawn and the Blind - Team 5 Meets! [Training]

Qeynan sat on a bench in one of the more basic training areas within the village training grounds, toying with the carcass of a puppet. His dark violet tresses were tied back into a high ponytail so as to keep it out of his face as he bent over his work. This was his first true puppet, so while it didn't need to be perfect it needed to be functional and he would have no distractions whatsoever while he was working. He didn't plan on working on the puppet, but waiting on his teammates had gotten a bit boring and he was never good at sitting idle for extended periods of time, so here he was tinkering away. The puppet, Karasu, was going to be the first of a grand series, modeled after creatures he is familiar with in order to get an understanding of the more complex workings of puppets and how to construct them so that they are the best he can produce. That was the most logical course of action, after all.

He looked up from what he was doing and peered around to see if anyone was approaching. He hoped they had gotten the right training area. He knew he had put it down correctly, but he wasn't able to account for the intelligence of people he hadn't met yet. He knew very basic information about them, such as their names and ages, though he was able to glean a little about their skill sets from it that alone Seran Kurogane and Praise Fantom, also of the Kurogane. I wonder if they'll be anything like the others I've seen...I'll need to up my control so that I can reign them in if either goes uncontrollably berserk. He thought idly to himself. He didn't really like not knowing things, mysterious variables unsettled him, but he took solace in the fact that he would find out soon. He put the parts of his puppet away in the large bag he had brought them in and sat on the bench to wait a little longer They better arrive soon...

Seran adjusted his glasses as he walked into the training grounds, looking around for his teammates. This would be his first time actually meeting them and he was quite excited to say the least. Luckily most people were out doing other things so there seemed to be only one other person in the training grounds making locating the person really simple. If the other teammate saw Seran as he approached Seran would wave joyfully with a soft smile on his face. Once in talking range, he would stop and give a light bow. "Hello! I'm Seran Kurogane! Pleased to meet yah!" he would say before looking over at the bag which had a curious smell to it. Seran himself would look like a normal bookworm if not for the Kurogane Gourd attached to his back. His Eku and Composite Bow were hidden within him so they wouldn't be witnessed and would later come as a unique surprise whenever he pulled them out.

Praise had already been awake training in her backyard and trying to become more skilled as manipulating her skeletal structure her mother would actually interrupt her training to remind her to meet up with the rest of her team which she thought would be a pain. Still she felt she might as well give them a chance and after showering she would proceed to walk over to the training ground which the teammate with the weird name said they should meet at. Upon arriving she would catch the tail end of the two's conversation and would lift her head in acknowledgement before stating her own name. I'm Praise. So what is the point of this meet up because if it's just introductions and that dreams and aspirations bullshit from the academy, I'll leave. she said bluntly as she wanted to make it obvious that she wasn't the type to waste time. She wanted to train it consumed her and she didn't have much time to waste with anything else if it wasn't sparring, missions and studying. Sure she might come across as the very definition of all work and no play but she didn't have time to play around now that she was officially a kunoichi of Kohaigakure.

Qeynan gave Seran a falsified smile in order to come across as friendly. He just oozed an aura of average intelligence. The young puppeteer noticed that the other's eye flickered over his bag and the smile he had painted on took on a smug edge. He doubted the other boy would be able to understand the inner workings of the puppet and all the work that went into constructing it, even if Qeynan were to dumb it down and explain it slowly. Praise arrived shortly afterwards and Qeynan's smile turned into a geniune one, as she shared his view of the "meet your team and get to know them" situation "I have to agree with you there, Praise-chan. I would much rather be working on my puppets, but studies have found that 'getting to know one another' and 'bonding' promotes team unity and synergy." He crossed one dainty leg over the other and settled his elbow on his knee, resting his chin in his palm "Synergy is very important as a Genin team, so it must be done. If you want we can make it a fun little sparring game! First we should go over how we currently go about combat or want to go about combat as we grow, as well as our strong suits and weaknesses. I'll begin."

Qeynan cleared his throat and sat up straight, prim and proper "I am Qeynan Taki, Samurai and member of the Doku Branch of my clan. My samurai style focuses mainly on manipulating objects within a certain distance of our body through force of will alone." He pulled a kunai from his bag and held it out in his palm, the weapon floating into the air and twirling about lazily "The style has developed into one that focuses on Kugujutsu above all else because of this, making it unique among the other styles. Of course this makes me a puppeteer. Prefer to utilize chakra strings to command my puppets over the style's method, however, because I'm a bit more comfortable with threads thanks to my chakra nature: Thread Release." He tapped the pendant at his throat almost absentmindedly as he continued speaking "The style utilizes blade fragments for attacking, however I've yet to become proficient in the use of them. Because of my clan and the various applications medical knowledge has in regards to puppetry I chose to start the path of a medic. My branch specializes mainly in poisons, as well as utilizing a dark 'poisonous' chakra. This mainly revolves around inflicting poisons, but there are many techniques within the style that deal with curing them as well. Currently I specialize in the use of Jade and Mercury in my poisons, allowing my to inflict greater than usual damage to a person's body as well as powerful hallucinations in regards to effects." He pulled his hair over his shoulder and began carding his fingers through it slowly, his crimson eyes slightly unfocused as though lost in thought "Hmmm what else what else...Oh! My intelligence is higher than most, which allows me to formulate strategies and combinations at a higher rate, as well as learn things I wouldn't be able to normally. Now, my weaknesses lie in my lack of short ranged combat capability. I am not well versed in Taijutsu or short-ranged Kenjutsu, and I don't have the natural durability that Ronin or even the Kurogane have, so I'm not good in a one on one brawl."

He looked satisfied with that and continued on "As for what I want to do...I want to be a great medic and an even greater puppeteer. There have been many puppet masters in the past that have had their names etched into the annals of history, some who changed the face of the art as it was known at the time. If I become someone like them, if I could make puppets that have stories told about them for centuries to come, I will gladly go to the Pure Lands without fuss!" It was flowery with just the right amount of truth, Qeynan thought, to satisfy both Seran and Praise. They needed to get along, like an actual team, if they were to have any hope of working together efficiently. If Qeynan had to manipulate them into liking each other, he would do it with as much ease as a spider spinning a web "That's enough about me, I think. Who wants to go next? Seran?"

Seran wasn't surprised when Praise came up behind him, having heard her approach. He adjusted his glasses again after the bow made them drop and held them up as he bowed to her politely too. He was sure given her timing that she had heard his introduction but still he wanted to be polite and formal. He would then turn and look at Qeynan as he went through some whole speech as a form of introduction. Frankly it was a bit much and boring to take in all at once but not once did Seran's smile disappear from his face to show any emotions other than pure glee. When it came to Seran's turn he kept it a lot shorter. "Well, you know my name. I'm a bit of a swordsman. I excel in short and mid range. Though what I wanna be... I'm not sure. I dont have any dreams and just wanna be helpful," he would say as he held out his hand in the air. His hand seemed to bubble a bit before a metal looking oar came forth from his hand. "This is my main weapon, a steel Eku. I'd love to spar with someone, my grandpa always had me running around training on my own so I dont know how well I'll do against others."

Praise sighed as it would seem that even though she had stated that she didn't want to do introductions and that she'd leave it would seem there was no avoiding it, though initially she would turn around to promptly do what she said she would hesitate because of the mention of sparring. If it meant that she could test her mettle against fellow genin then she might as well get this chore of an introduction out of the way so they could get to the good stuff. "This is such a pain but fine. I'm from the Fantom Family, I'm currently something of a taijutsu specialist but my real passion lies with ninjutsu, to that end in order to make my passion possible I'm learning about seals, which I have a natural talent for. Other than that I'm a Dakar so I'll mainly be relying on the use of Life Release until I can solve my chakra reserves problem. I'm also becoming a trained medic, as it is useful skill to possess and will probably go a long way towards ensuring my survival in the future." Praise said not giving a long winded explanation like Qeynan but also not being as vague as Seran. She didn't really care to reveal anything about her Kurogane heritage since as far as she was concerned she wasn't part of the clan until she obtained her transformation and well for the most part she preferred the Fantom side of her heritage.

"Now that all of that is out of the way, the spar. How are we going to do this, a three way brawl I'm assuming since that way everyone can participate and we can all know where each other stand. The Conditions of victory being unconsciousness, forfeiting or majority rule in the case that someone is too stubborn to forfeit and it's clear that going and further will cause unnecessary injuries." she spoke trying to set up the terms and conditions for their spar so that it was fair for all the participants and it wouldn't lead to disputes after the fact. She wanted to know where she stood in comparison to the other two and she felt like it would be a good thing to establish the pecking order for the time being as she didn't feel like listening to either of the other two and while Seran seemed like it didn't care about being the boss Qeynan gave off vibes of being the type to be an insufferable leader.

Qeynan smiled brightly, though he couldn't say he wasn't a bit annoyed that his was the longest introduction. He was more thorough than most, though and he couldn't hold that against them he supposed. He smiled brightly and clapped "Wonderful!" He stood from his sitting position and swept around to his bag, pulling his sword free and twirling it in his hand lightly before turning back to the other two "The conditions Praise set are perfect, in my opinion. If you don't have any complaints, Seran, we can get started right away. Of course if you'd like we can do one on ones in a tournament style or the like." He raised an eyebrow at the other male and gave his sword hand a sharp twist. The blade seemed to seemingly fall apart as six segments fell from the weapon as Qeynan swept his arm out to the side. The segments were suspended in mid-air for a moment before beginning to rotate around Qeynan lazily. He adjusted the grip on his sword in an uncomfortable gesture. He might be a Samurai, but he was a puppeteer first and foremost, he was more used to using his hands to control rather than fight. But these two were close ranged fighters, so he would need to use his sword to compensate as much as he could.

Seran was curious at how gung ho Praise seemed to be at the mention of sparring. Though he guessed by her attitude that she was more of the action type whereas Qeynan seemed to be a bit more of the opposite of her. They both had some pretty strong personalities at that, and then there was him. Seran was starting to love this whole team mate concept. When Qeynan directed his words toward him Seran didn't even hesitate to think of the question too much. "I believe a free for all would be best. Considering tournament style would take too long and people would be tired out between fights. In the field, according to my grandfather and my studies, there will come times where we will have to fight multiple people alone. So to be both fair and practical I believe the free for all would be the best option, no?" Seran would smile before turning around and walking ten feet away from the two to create some distance and putting him roughly fifteen feet from Qeynan's location. "Qeynan, you're the one who suggested this spar so why don't you tell us when to begin?"

Praise was okay with those rules and actually didn't move from where she was standing instead looking as both Qeynan and Seran seemed to get ready before letting out a huff. She would stretch a bit trying to get limber so she could fight but wondered whether or not it would be necessary she wouldn't take them lightly only because she believed in taking everything seriously but it was obvious they didn't fight the way she did. Somehow this brought her a bit of joy as she would be able to test how she fared against people her own level and see whether her hard work had paid off or if she would have to work harder. "Yeah that sounds good, no matter what happens no hard feelings alright. The thing I hate more than annoying introductions is petty bullshit, this is purely a way for us to bond...through our fists! she said slamming her fist into her palm her eyes narrowing as she was also ready to get this things started.

Qeynan nodded once "Of course no hard feelings! We're going to be a team and this is all in good fun. Bad blood would just spoil everything." The puppeteer stretched a little bit himself, as he had forgotten to do so. This would be his first time actually sparring with anyone, know that he thought about it. He refused to participate in physical combat with other kids at the academy, so his instructors had to deal with him combating dummies or puppets they controlled. It was a milestone of sorts, so he was excited for the new experience. Once he was done stretching, he flowed from that into offensive movement with the graceful ease of a puppet master playing with their beloved strings. However, Qeynan wasn't using strings at the moment nor was he using puppets. He brought his free hand forward and spread his fingers, two blade fragments responding in kind. They moved towards his teammates, one each at Bullet Release Speeds. Nothing too dangerous, simply the weapon attempting to nick their sides, something simple to get the ball rolling "Let's begin!"

Ranged attack, predictable given the distance and the fact Qeynan was a puppeteer. Though Seran didn't expect the blades themselves though he had already revealed them. It was interesting but clearly being held back. The attack went to two ways, testing them obviously as well as starting. Qeynan wanted to see how they'd react probably. It was smart, seeing how each thought and picking out the real threat among the two. Seran's mind went through this entire scenario as the blades approached at a very nice speed. However, his reaction was not to be underestimated as he quickly reached into his weapon pouch and pulled out a black pill a shuriken and a kunai, a smoke bomb in which he immediately crushed and surrounded himself in the five foot radius of its smoke to remain undetected. He could easily determine the surroundings, having reaction's secondary effect allowing him to sense through his own concealment. However, he didn't stop there just in case Qeynan could see through it as well. As he attempted to duck at bullet release speeds just to be sure, he also threw a single shuriken out the left side of the smoke screen rather than straight at the two. The Shuriken had a unique spin to it, causing it to go out at an angle and, if they kept their eye on it, they would notice it coming around toward Qeynan's legs as it curved around, the Cypher's signature Boomerang Throw. While the shuriken was in effect Seran would also have his eyes set on the Blade, ready to use his kunai to block it if the blade diverted its path straight for him.

Praise was what one considered either a slow starter or a quick finisher the reason was that she really didn't have an in-between at the moment thus she had said no hard feelings specifically because at the current time she didn't know how to hold back. She would inhale before exhaling while releasing the first of her eight chakra gates her body becoming enhanced by the sudden rush of chakra. In that moment it was like she had been moving at a snail's pace and she would dodge out of the way of the incoming blade fragment before making a beeline towards Qeynan. She had the speed to actually reach him when the blade thrown at him by Seran would and would use that to her opportunity timing it so that if he dodged or blocked it she would be able to stomp on the ground to try and cause him to lose his footing before pulling out a kunai of her own and throwing it at him (blunt side first) at B-rank Speed with enough strength that upon impact it'll hopefully prevent him from getting up for the time being. She wouldn't aim to seriously hurt him, but would throw it at his stomach so that the impact would hopefully just cause him to reel in pain or pass out.

"If I can deal with him first then I can deal with Seran before my time limit runs out." Praise thought to herself knowing fully well that she had a limited amount of time to pull all of this off before she would be weakened from her opening the gates. Sure she could always pull that out but she didn't want to if she didn't have to because it was really tiring and once again it was hard for her to hold back and she didn't want to really hurt her teammates in their very first spar.

Qeynan smirked ruefully as the two were able to realize that he was the biggest threat to them. His range trumped their own, so of course he would be the prime target for them to take out. He didn't, however, count on both of them ganging up on him. It wasn't very sportsman like, but then again shinobi weren't well known for their honor or chivalry. Their mistake however was using projectiles to try and catch him off guard. Projectile combat was well within his comfort zone, as he used them to make up for his lack of puppet. Two pulses of chakra, one to deal with Praise's kunai and the other to deal with Seran's shuriken issued from his free hand as they got close, the weapons halting in mid-air as Qeynan usurped control over them. Though Seran and Praise wouldn't be able to pick up on this chakra unless they possessed C-Rank or above chakra sensory, the action seeming as though the two projectiles simply halted during their flight. He recalled his blade fragments back to him at Bullet Release speeds once more "Oh come now, you two, this is hardly fair. Are you that afraid of little ol' me?" He giggled and couldn't help the thought that came afterwards That is very smart...you should be. His free hand swept once more, not ordering the projectiles he stole but the blade fragments around him. All six began spinning around a twenty foot radius of him at Bullet Release speeds, a deadly swarm of slicing blades that aimed to cut anyone who got too close. The other two would be in danger of being dealt moderate wounds if they were within range, and also bleeding from their cuts if they were too close to Qeynan. He held back with the force of his blades just enough to not deal too much damage to them while still being a healthy deterrent. He wanted to let them know they would need to work for it if they wanted to take him out. He wouldn't go down easy at all.

Seran's shuriken was stopped and Praise was going in, Seran wasn't sure how his shuriken was stopped, but it was obvious as it didn't return to him and Qeynan's attack didn't alter but was changed as well. Seran's senses worked overboard as the blades began spinning and he was forced to dance through them utilizing his reaction to dance between the spinning blades just before they would hit him. His distance to cover to get out of the spinning blades was five feet and though they were going at samurai level speeds his reaction was high enough to allow him to make up for that small bit of distance and exit both his smoke cloud and the blades together. He backed up another five feet making him twenty five feet away from the two and reached into his weapon pouch one more time. Obviously ranged attacks wouldn't work on Qeynan now. His options were short but that didn't matter since he wasn't the focus anymore. He decided to wait and watch to see what would happen. As he did though he would speak out in amazement. "Wow! Such an amazing technique for keeping yourself safe! And the Eight Gates? You guys are amazing! Heheh!" Seran would say in glee as he watched his teammates amazing abilities.

Praise watched as her kunai was halted in mid air, that was pretty useful to know though the point of her throwing the kunai would now be revealed when she made a hand seal but didn't pulse her chakra to detonate the explosive tag she had wrapped around her kunai. "Might want to check what you catch. I'm not going to detonate it but yeah." Praise said backing up as the blades began to spin, she could of rushed in and tried to rely on her natural speed and strength advantage to try and catch two of the fragments and bat the rest away but she liked how Qeynan tried to counter and would instead change targets to try and go for Seran. She was fast enough to thankfully avoid the Strike of Disgrace and try to catch up with Seran her eyes darting between the two of them to see if she could gauge the maximum distance that Qeynan could control his blade fragments before making her move and throwing a punch at Seran's shoulder.

Qeynan had expected them to avoid his attack easily. Seran obviously had the proper perception since he was able to avoid the first blade with ease, and Praise had unleashed a Gate in order to spar. He was impressed, truly. There was a sense of...urgency in this. Almost fear if he was being completely honest. People who were capable of matching him? The best adrenaline rush he could think of "Such a thoughtful gift, Praise! But I'm afraid I can't accept." He shook his head and did a subtle switching of gears, though the two wouldn't be able to tell if they didn't possess chakra sensory or a way to detect the Kirame Puppetry style. A pulse of chakra left his hand, this time targeting one of his blades and causing it to halt, while his will shifted to the kunai and shuriken. "Allow me to return to sender!" he swiped his hand forward and the projectiles were launched at the pair at Bullet Release Speeds. His control dropped from them as soon they were in flight so he could recall his chakra and return his blade to rotation. He decided to pull in his blades a bit while keeping up the technique, enabling the two more space to duke it out without fear of running into an errant projectile.

Uh oh, looks like Seran couldn't get any peace as he was the next target of Praise. Made sense though since Qeynan had such a good defensive technique that made prolonged fights dangerous against him. Praise was fast, though thankfully his perception was top notch as he watched her close in the distance in no time. His speed wasn't up to par with hers but thanks to his cypher inheritance he could at least keep up in close combat. Running seriously wasn't an option from her. Seran had to be cautious of her close combat due to being in one of the Eight Gates. He also didn't know what else was in store for him, but at the same time it felt disrespectful to his teammate if he kept with the same style he took against Qeynan. He decided to show his versatility a bit and accept her head on. However, on her approach he saw something coming their way and would dart backwards and to the side at bullet release speeds, not being able to escape her but using their distance to not only drag her along with him but allow them both to avoid the blades. However, this cost him precious seconds to put up a defensive posture to combat her. She was already on him so he did the only thing that came natural. He dropped the kunai in his hand and went to punch her as well, attempting to trade blows with Praise.

His blow was aimed for her corresponding shoulder, the one throwing the punch. He would simultaneously gently kick the kunai up with his foot, knocking it up toward her knee, though at the angle it would merely be a simple distraction than a damaging attack as it would do nothing in essence. He counted on her probably going through and taking the trade, but she would find herself more than likely caught off guard as her fist would miss by a few inches, as if she herself aimed at the wrong spot. This was merely a trick of the mind as she was within his field of fabrication, allowing him to use a fab without seals and connect to her mind, making her throw her aim off a bit to the right just barely missing him. If his blow connected then he would additionally use his soft kick and punch to bring his body against her own while hoping her own swing had thrown her off. If he managed to successfully he would twist his hand and grasp her shoulder, pulling her to his right (her left) while going to sweep her leg out from under him simultaneously in order to make her body spin, using a simple jujitsu type move to shift her center of gravity and toss her to there ground. If again successful he would let go of her and point his metal eku down toward her throat. All this occurred only at bullet release speeds but his reactions to her movements was at crashing ground speed levels. He was sure though with her ability that at some point she would find a way out.

Praise would allow herself to be guided towards where Seran wanted to go only to see exactly what he had planned though when she tried to punch him in his shoulder and her aimed somehow missed she would watch as he delivered a punch to her and a kick. But when he went to draw her closer she would make her move there was no finesse to it just jumping onto him and wrapping her arms and legs against him before squeezing in order to prevent him from making hand seals or being able to move and she would squeeze just enough to make it obvious that she could crush his rib-cage. Either way she would roll when they eventually hit the ground, due to her maneuver most likely throwing his balance off if not her weight, and land so that he was on top of her just in case Qeynan sent some more projectiles towards them so she could potentially use Seran as a deterrent. She would notice her body begin to ache and debated whether or not she should open another gate or merely rely on her own skill now that she had seen what they could do.

Training:

Qeynan was content to watch them tussle with each other. He didn't want to risk losing control of one of his blades by attacking them from his comfortable range and there was no way he was going to try and get close. He coursed his chakra through his sword and causes it to levitate like he had done to the projectiles before. He wouldn't be able to launch it like them, though that wasn't his plan. He moved it so that it was poised below him and sat down comfortably. He crossed his arms over his chest and just... watched his teammates "Alright guys! I believe in both of you. I'm not sure who to root for in this situation. Usually you would cheer on the person you could easily beat, but sometimes you like a challenge. It's very conflicting... oh well! Either of you would be great to face! Praise be careful, I don't know your exact time limit for your Gates but they're bound to expire soon, ne? Oh and Seran she may release another so being in close range may not be the best plan!" He giggled mischievously as he simply watched and commented on what was going on in front of him. It really was amusing.

The Gates sure were amazing and her movements were pretty smart, allowing her to get in a position that took advantage of her strengths. Seran went with the flow and fell back, allowing her to maneuver them. Honestly there were few things he could do to counter her, seeing as though he was a Dakar he had no strength tiers himself. Seran barely felt the pain in his chest from her squeezing though as he was pretty resistant to pain. He contemplated his movements, being stuck in her grasp. He had an idea that could either make her angry or surprise her enough to give him a quick distraction. He could also just let her win. He decided to just play along and make her angry. He wanted to do something extremely unexpected and see the result. No doubt he was in for a world of pain afterwards, but he had to amuse himself somehow in all this. Simultanouesly, Seran used their closeness and her grip to plant a kiss on her lips while his Duplicate formed another arm on his back that swept up the kunai next to them and pointed it to her neck.

If she wanted to she could of crushed him, instead she would pull back in preparation for her gates to end but not before he claimed her first kiss causing her eyes to widen before her face scrunched up in distaste. "Why did you have to make it weird bro." Praise said trying to mask her pain behind being grossed out from his kiss and putting her hands up while she backed away. "I kind of don't want to continue now." she would wipe her mouth and walk away to the sidelines as she hadn't really wanted that, but she couldn't get mad as she respected that it was an effective tactic to get someone to back off. It kind of sucked but she figured it was better than having her first kiss go to a target of a seduction mission but she wanted to make sure that things didn't become awkward because she really didn't see Seran in that light. "What a weirdo, who kisses someone they just met during a spar. she thought to herself with a frown.

Qeynan's eyes widened marginally at the kiss, but then he burst into a fit of uncontrollable laughter "Oh Cthulhu below that is PRICELESS!!" He wiped a fake tear from under his eye, and smiled widely, small quakes of laughter still shaking his shoulders "That is so adorable, let me say! Are you going to try and smooch me too?" He wiggled his eye brows a bit and adjusted his position on the sword, smiling cockily at his teammate "If you want you can try but I won't make it easy for you. I wouldn't blame you if you want to give up now." The blades kept up their constant, deadly rotation around Qeynan as the puppeteer just sat on the floating weapon, his smile still in place Hopefully he gives up. That would make me the leader of the team by default, since Praise already dropped out, fortunately enough. Had she opened more Gates or come at me head on, I don't think I would've been able to best her. But Seran doesn't seem like the leading type.... Maybe I'll get lucky again.

Seran somewhat felt bad for Praise but his plan did work. "Apologies, but a shinobi has to be prepared for anything, right? If you want I can cause the entire incident to have never occurred by rejecting its reality," he would say to her as he stood and brushed himself off. Though he made the offer the mental aspect of it would probably have a chance of still being there so in the end it wouldn't matter unless she just cared about it physically. Though Seran still didn't really understand the aspect completely, as he saw it as a meaningless incident but had wondered how effective it would be to use in such a close scenario. He would then turn to look at the laughing Qeynan and smiled at his comment. "I could give you a smooch too if yah want, doll face," he would say with a wink toward Qeynan. He rubbed his aching chest for a moment before looking back at Praise's arm which was protruding from his back. "Hmm. I haven't shown much yet. You have some amazing blades and Praise has the gates. So far all I've done is avoid some stuff, hide and kiss someone. I don't think I've shown you guys what I can do yet. Hmm. I don't care either way, I'm just having fun, heh." Seran knew he was outclassed in terms of special abilities, but he still couldn't shake this excitement boiling in his blood from the challenge. No doubt the Kurogane instincts within him mixed with the primal side of the Dakar in his blood. However, he had no intention of leading anything, he just wanted to see how well he could do against unique powers.

"You are right about that we could just reject this whole situation." Praise said with a face palm having actually forgotten about being able to do that, she really didn't use her chakra for much of anything besides seals so she forgot about some of the more esoteric abilities the Dakar side of her heritage was capable of providing for her. Still even though she was bothered she didn't want for him to waste his use of such a skill, no she accepted that he caught her off guard and didn't mind stepping down at this time. Being a leader would put her in the spot light and not allow her to focus on herself besides if she really wanted the leadership position she could suggest that this be a monthly thing that they did to keep everyone sharp and to iron out the kinks in the techniques they learnt in the future.

"It's fine, it was a shock but as long as you know I don't have any interest in things like that then we are cool. Guess it's just down to you two for now. I'll take you two more seriously next time." she said with a smirk and sitting on the ground to clearly show that she was no longer involved in the spar. She wondered who would be the winner between them now, she had known she had the brute force to take her teammates but that wasn't the sort of thing she really wanted to reveal this early in her career plus the drawbacks of the gates was pretty clear so she shouldn't get used to relying on it to win.

Qeynan giggled once more, returning Seran's wink "Maybe that can be my reward for winning." Qeynan had expected Seran to come charging at him, it would've made it easier to control his movement and the flow of battle. But that wasn't the case, the other male had just stayed in place, which was mildly annoying. He would make the first move then, after all Seran couldn't touch him at range and it would be dangerous to try and get within ten feet of Qeynan, even with his impressive perception. Qeynan sent out two blades, each at Bullet Release speeds, to get Seran moving. The longer this dragged out, the less time he had to work on his puppets after all.
