Name: Chakra Disguise Technique Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: A Class: Supplementary Range: Self/Contact Description: Requirements for different types of targets will be listed below. The users causes a target's chakra signature to appear different than what it actually is. They can increase the apparent power of the chakra to either one rank above their actual, or down to zero (as if they were dead/completely lacking in chakra). The user can also change chakra signatures to be identical to another persons (although the power range limits still apply). However, to do this latter ability, the user must a) possess some form of chakra sensory and b) either have memorized the person's signature or be exposed to it during the disguising process. This technique does not actually alter an individual's chakra. It simply disguises it. Different types of targets have different requirements. When used upon oneself, the effect takes hold instantly upon hand seal sequence completion. When used upon a civilian or other animal without a developed chakra system, the effect takes hold instantly after the hand seals are preformed and contact is made with the target, however brief. When used upon another ninja, start by assigning ranks numbers such that D rank = 1, C rank = 2, B rank = 3, and so on. Now subtract the target's numerical rank from the user's numerical rank. When used upon oneself, it takes a B rank amount of chakra to activate and a C rank amount of chakra per round to maintain. When used upon another, it takes an A rank amount of chakra to activate and a B rank amount of chakra to maintain per round. If the target desires, they may instead pay the upkeep cost. In this case, it is reduced back to a C rank amount of chakra per round. Targets cannot be forced to pay the chakra cost of this technique. The user can suppress it to the level of any rank below their own. For example, an S rank ninja can suppress their chakra to the levels of a civilian, a D, C, B, or A rank ninja, or even zero. While suppressed, the user can only cast jutsu that an individual of the 'suppressed to' rank could cast (payment comes out of the user's total, unsuppressed chakra pool). This technique requires a D rank amount of chakra every post to maintain. This cost is taken out of the user's actual chakra amount, not the suppressed amount, meaning it can be paid even if the user has suppressed their chakra to 'zero'. - Keeping track of these, but they aren't jutsu to be looked over:

The ability to sense the user by other methods, such as chakra and life force, or via contact like Gaara's sand sensing, is unaffected.

The user can suppress their chakra to any rank below their actual, including 'zero'. This technique requires a D rank amount of chakra every post to maintain. This cost is taken out of the user's actual chakra amount, not the suppressed amount.
