The Chunin Exams - First Round

Cherish would fill out the test answers the best she could before she would finish and the proctors would come and collect her results. She hadn't cheated mainly because she didn't have any techniques to help her with that and she would sit back in her chair before looking left and right to see if her squad mates were okay. I hope none of us get dragged out like that... Cherish thought to herself when the head proctor singled someone out it was scary but these were the chunin exams so it made sense they didn't just promote anyone those who were chunin earned that right. No stop thinking like that we came prepared, they won't let me down just like I won't let them down we are going to grab this exam by the balls and ...wow where did that come from I guess I'm channelling my inner Nee-san she said smiling sadly as she remembered how her Nee-san used to curse and say vulgar things like that all the time. Yes this was not just about her squad she needed to become chunin to fulfill her promise to her late Nee-san to that end she wouldn't let the proctors words shake her resolve not in the slightest.

By the time the proctors came around collecting the tests, Omito was already done with it. He was sitting back in his desk with his hands resting on the back of his head. His light sea green eyes wandered around the room, looking to see who finished and who didn't. The proctor then made a signal to the others before another Genin was pulled out from the group and his whole team was disqualified. Omito smirked under is mask, Must've got caught cheating. Welp. That means that was one less team to face later on down the road. The boy didn't think his team mates would get caught doing something stupid like that, so he wasn't really worried at all. The proctor stated that the people who passed would be announced in a moment. Omito was very anxious to see how his team would do, but then again he figured they were all qualified to at least pass the first round. He was really excited though to move on to the next part, hopefully then they would get some action. Omito sat in the desk with his eyes trained on the proctor, waiting for the people who passed to be announced.

Reiver was handed a sheet of paper with names of those who passed. He smirked although with his mask on no one would be able to tell. "It seems both squad 10, and squad 7 have failed their written test, along with squads 18 and 16." Naturally only two of those squads he had to play with the two potential teams if only just a little bit. So he would wait to see their reactions while he waited on them he nodded to another couple proctors to drag another horribly cheat method out. This would mean that out of the twelve teams only eight remained.

After the reactions of the four teams he laughed deeply before continuing. "I apologize only team 16 and 18 have failed, if those two teams would kindly step out of the room. To the rest of you, congratulations you have passed to the second round." he said before making a hand seal resulting in the floor in front of him opening up revealing a cavern with multiple steps and dim lights which resulted in one being unable to see what awaited at the bottom. "Just continue down to Round 2 where the second proctor is waiting. Don't fuck up now kiddies." he said before clapping his hands while the majority of assistant proctors would vanish presumably to proceed to the next round.

Second Round:

Jazz initially would narrow her eyes stiffening slightly when the proctor said that Team 7 had failed her mind going through reasons why they possible could and knowing that it wasn't possible, unless one of her squad mates had intentionally messed up or were really stupi- Damn it Ka do you ever read, books aren't just for paperweights or doorstoppers. Jazz said through their link mentally berating him since she knew Ka wasn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. That is until the proctor had revealed he was just joking causing her to relax and decide to keep playing the innocent little girl. Ha ha your funny Proctor-san you really got me! Sorry Ka, I just assumed you failed, my mistake I meant no offense by it Jazz said laughing and almost falling of her chair in her performance while conveying her actual message of apology to Ka in her usual voice.

Hey guys let's go. Follow me, yeah! she said once she got up from her desk and would stretch a bit while looking for her teammates. She'd make a quick follow me gesture before taking off though not using shinobi speed to run down the stairs recklessly.

Omito's heart dropped as the words hit his ears. Could he have really failed? No way! He sat up quickly in surprise as his eyes widened and stared at the proctor in disbelief. There was no way I could of failed... Could one of them possibly have... He didn't want to believe it, but that had to be the only way is if one of the girls failed. He was too confident in his answers to have failed. He might of got a few wrong, but failed? He couldn't have. So his chances in the exams ended in the first stage. Wow. Pathetic. He couldn't believe he was just a scrub. The boy shook his head in disappointment before he heard the proctor speak again.

A smile appeared on his face and his heart slowed when he heard the proctor say he made a mistake. So he passed! And so did the rest of his squad. The boy took a sigh of relief and pushed his hands in his pockets. His light sea green eyes watched as the floor moved, revealing a set of stairs that seemed to lead but nowhere but darkness. Did this symbolize the darkness that one crosses once becoming a Chunin? Omito didn't know. He was just happy that he passed. He watched as the proctors vanished. Omito stood up with his hands still in his pockets and walked over to the opening in the ground, "On to the next round girls. Come on lets go." After those words he began stepping down the stairs, not having a clue to where it was leading to.

Cherish would at first panic they failed how darn it it must of been her she never was good at written tests, she would turn to look at Summer with a guilty expression on her face already ready to start numerous apologies when the proctor spoke again causing her frown to be turned upside down. Woohoo we did it! Cherish cheered standing up and everything, she was almost as loud as that one little girl who had laughed and would skip, yes literally skip to where Omito was turning when she got there to see if Summer was following and if she was she would smile even wider and proceed to head down the stairs following after her only male teammate.

Hehe, round 2 I thought that test would never end, I feel some how like it's been weeks since we were stuck in there you get what I mean? Cherish said with a long suffering sigh she was joking...or was she?

Ka never raised his head when the proctor had stated that his team had failed the exam, his mind had just wandered back to the first time he took the genin exams. Feeling of utter failure, disappointment, and shame started to flow over him, only to be replaced with anger when Jazz's voice entered his head. The last thing he really needed right now was to hear her berate him yet again, blaming him for their failure. "Eat my ass test tube" He responded back to Jazz through their mental link, and would start to rise from his chair before the Proctor had said he made a mistake and that his team had passed the written part of the exams. His facial expression wouldn't change from the look of disappointment when the proctor first spoke, but would move towards the entrance of the tunnel without uttering a word to anyone.

Ada remained quiet and clear of mind through the entire ordeal. A skill he'd practiced for a while. Having finished his test up quickly and actually fallen asleep sitting still. The proctors words meant nothing to him at all. Pass or fail. It didn't matter really. Neither would change things for Ada. He was actually at peace sleeping, eyes wide open starring into nothingness. Then some rather foul words snapped him back to reality. Eat my ass Test tube. "Wonderful words to wake up to thank you." Ada said with a sigh as he stood up from his desk to follow the group out. "So did we pass or fail?" He added as he gave a long yawn and exited the room.

Summer snapped her eyes up to look at the proctors, the pink orbs growing extraordinarily wide as she tried to process what had happened. Had she messed up? Maybe she didn't train as well as she thought she did, too much work on the body, not enough on the mind. Her memory had failed her, her teammates were ready, it must have been her! She leaped to her feet, slamming her hands down onto her desk and was about to speak out before she was told it was all a trick. A loud huff left her and she shook her head. "That's just mean, don't be like that!" She called out, crossing her arms over her chest and spending a few moments fuming. Steam would have been coming out of her ears if such were possible. With that done she then took her weapons back, strapping them to her body and rolling her shoulders, walking over to Cherish and Omito. "Okay, let's do this. We are going to ace this exam and show the others the true power of team 10." She told them confidently, nodding and smiling brightly, her anger having been forgotten, excitement taking its place. This was it, this was where it truly began! So with that... She followed her teammates away.
