Morrigan could have sworn she'd taken the right path, and yet when she blinked and was instantly in very clearly the wrong area. Hard to say she was in the right area when... well everything was arcing lightning. Her move to Mahou to become a shinobi was a decent move in theory, but she had not fully learned how to travel across the village. She ran fingers through her hair, picking out knots as a nervous tic, before trying to stop someone.

Only they were rushing past. Pretty rude really. But then when she tried again, well it was just as difficult. Something seemed to be going on. Then she was actually listening, halting a second to see what was going on. "You! You're a shinobi right?" She looked to a young woman in pretty typical attire, and didn't get a chance to answer. "We're under attack. Get moving, get any civilians safe. You... I assume you're a student or a genin. So stay away from Fira, let the stronger shinobi handle the beast. Just focus on the civilians," And just as quickly as she spoke she was off. Morrigan was frozen a moment longer, and it dawned upon her that she was given a mission. Sort of. Maybe not a mission but a job.

Time to get to work.

Thundera was usually a pretty desolate area despite being one of the most critical parts of Mahougakure, but that could be due to the factories and powerplants that were housed on it. Either way now that the village was under attack in comparison to places like Aerora, Fira and the like it was a panicked atmosphere without the mindless rush of screaming civilians running around like chickens with their head's cut off. No all in all it was easier to get to the bunkers when a location wasn't as densely populated as somewhere else. As such when Morrigan searched for civilians to assist she would find some mainly workers in the factories briskly running out of the various buildings. Some of them looked confused and being that she was a kunoichi of Mahou she knew that the bunkers on Thundera were located in each of the cardinal directions with a location that a bunker was at being denoted by the lack of lightning coursing over it.

However this manageable location would turn into a clusterfuck when a chain of blue colored fireballs would hit the west side of Thundera and cause three of the powerplants to explode plunging the entire west side into darkness. But that wasn't the main issue as the blue fire didn't simply extinguish but the explosion would cause it to begin to spread to some of the buildings. As such the civilians who were originally making their way to the west bunker would be forced to flee the dangerous flames while those who had already made it to there were now at risk of dying from smoke inhalation. It seemed Morrigan now had to make a choice, would she continue her actions directing civilians were she could, was she going to attempt to aid her fellow genin in trying to deal with the spreading flames or rescue the civilians who had been trapped in the bunker risking her own life to do so despite the situation seeming hopeless.

This was monsterous! Everything was going wrong in less than a second. How did nobody get a damn warning before the attack?! She might not have known exactly what was causing it, but she knew it was something big. It had to be, right? So how did someone miss that?!

And already her legs were carrying her. She knew she needed to protect as many people as she could because apparently someone had seriously fucked up to not already have done so. She also knew she was putting her life in the hands of the Gods. Hopefully they would look down on her favourably as she without hesitation ran towards the bunker. If any sort of rubble of the like got in her way she would use her shadowy platforms to get herself an easier path in. "Everybody! This way this way! Hurry hurry!" She repeated everything just to be sure she was heard. "Please watch for the vulnerable among you! We're in danger but we're still in this danger together! Look out for one another!" She needed more help, she would accept that, but it didn't mean she wasn't going to give it her all.

As Morrigan burst into the bunker she’d find it incredibly hard to see more than 10ft in front of her(B-rank reaction) . The smoke had engulfed the entire room and some of the people were passed out on the ground. The others were relieved that she showed up when she did and tried following her lead. The smoke from the burning power plants were unrelenting .

Morrigan would have to be careful not to breathe any of that in. Each breath of that thick radioactive smoke would deal to her a C-rank of internal damage. This leaves her in a bad position. She could take those she managed find moving out of the area before they fall victim. She could also risk it and try to save some of the people who had recently collapsed at the risk of being exposed to the smoke even longer. Finally , she could also come up with a new way of handling this situation. What will she do? How will she save more people? Or will she count her blessings and save herself?

This right here, this was a shinobi's job. Protect the citizens of the world first, and as usual the damn prodigies were nowhere in sight! Of course they were! Probably all off galavanting, going off to try and prove their metal against whatever was causing this. They could throw their damn lives away all they wanted but they were putting the regular people at risk with their recklessness!

Her lungs hurt, but that was worth it. It would be worth it. But there was just too many people. And there was no time to think. Her lungs were already starting to feel the burn and she needed to get out, but she wasn't alone either. Flemeth was her second set of eyes, with her Amatsu close to exhaled slowly, matching her breathing to the non-existant breath of the shadowy orb that was bound to her very life. Yes. This could work. But everybody needed to work together. The heart of the Republic was it's citizens. Shinobi could protect them, it was their job to protect them, but they weren't helpless either. Not like Morrigan felt in that moment. But with Flemeth's silent praise and pushing, she steeled herself and her resolve.

This would hurt, but this was how she could hopefully save so many. "Everybody!" She screamed through the roaring flames and arcing electricity that permeated the very core section of the village. "Help those near you! Help me pull a chain, and grab as many as you can near you. We're all going to save each other!" She coughed, but she couldn't she any weakness. They would be looking to her as a shinobi to help them. They just didn't know how much they would save themselves too. Flemeth was more accustomed to her range forms, but this once she would need to take a different state. A kusarigari, a blade on a black, spike linked chain, was the perfect weapon for this. With Flemeth's second set of senses as a guide, she threw the weapon as far and fast as she could in to the very centre of the action. "Grab the chain! Grab anyone unconcious, and we will pull together!" She gave everybody a moment to start getting to work, and then she could start to pull everybody out. She knew not everybody could get out of this, there were too many. But save everybody she could. Every life she could save was a win. And every life she could not... they would be a mark on her soul. And they could be weighed when she passed to the next life. Every life mattered, and she would bear the sins for every life she could not save today.

Such a daring gambit. She risked the safety of those conscious to rescue as many of the unconscious as possible. She took only a few moments to prepare before she instructed everyone of her risky plan.s

When most of them would hear this plan they’d think this was absolutely crazy. “Why not just save us and come back for them?!” A man shouted. They were all completely in the dark here, their lack of sight made it near impossible for them to locate the unconscious people right away.

It must’ve just been the fear of dying that forced them to cooperate without any more objection. They realized that she was fully committed to her plan because none had been rescued. And so they’d feel around to the best of their abilities. Once they’d feel what seemed like a body, some would freak out. Nonetheless they all would use their free hand and legs to grab and wrap around a body.

Fortunately for them Morrigan had instructed them to grab the chain. So every conscious person would look to grab hold of a chain. Even the kids would do this. So in a huge team effort they would all pull with all their might. Together, Morrigan was able to bring them to safety.

Her gambit paid off, those who were unconscious were laying on the ground with the 5 that were already dead. Parents and children would cry from having faced what could’ve been their demise. They were grateful but before they could fully celebrate one civilian would break out into a painful cough. Soon another then another.

Having stayed there longer caused them to take in too much radioactive smoke. Especially while they were exerting energy to pull continuously. They needed to breathe while doing that. Soon they were all on the ground and Morrigan would have to find medical attention fast or everyone she had just saved would die.

She would have to leave then there for now. If there was a way of protecting them while she was gone, that would be a great action to take. The nearest hospital was 300ft south of where she was located now. How will she proceed and save everyone.
