Made the right turn at the wrong intersection. [Matatabi Attacks]

Ever since his meeting with that female cypher in the Land of Madness, Diabolos had gotten the lead on a bounty he had been tracking for some time now. The only problem was he completely sucked at tracking and made a left turn where he should’ve gone right and somehow he ended up at the Land of Malice inside the Village Hidden in the Magic. Strange right? Luckily for him, he was bottom of the barrel when it came to threat level, in fact, he doubted he was even in the bingo book at all, so his entrance inside the village went pretty much unnoticed. He had spent most of his time trying to as inconspicuous as possible while pretending to be a civilian merchant but he knew that staying here was complete madness so it was time for him to make his exit. Or that’s what he would’ve liked to do until something miraculous happened. He truly was at the wrong place at the wrong time as the village was attacked by a Bijuu out of the blue. To be fair this was the perfect chance to leave unnoticed but with the village in full panic mode, this was a perfect chance to get his hands on something juicy.

“Now. Let's see if I can steal anything of value!” Dio said with a broad smile before making his way to the streets by traveling through the alleyways. The first place he would look to visit is a store so he could play the part of a shinobi by stealing some armor and a headband. He would confirm if the shop was empty by peaking through the window before moving to the back and slipping through from behind.

As Diabolos peeked he would see a civilian seemingly trying to hurry up and put things away rather than leaving the shop and running to safety. It was a middle aged woman who seemed to be missing her left arm at the elbow as such it was difficult for her to carry things from place to place. Still it seemed that, she wasn't budging anytime soon but the goods in her shop were quite good. She didn't have any forehead protectors for sale as that wasn't how that worked, but she had various weapons and tools as well as shinobi clothing. It seemed that she was a retired kunoichi as a forehead protector was hanging on the wall in a display, and her gear seemed a cut above that which was normally sold. Perhaps she was sponsored by the village or it's council.

On the other hand there didn't seem to be more shops other than her own as this area was more for important buildings, some food shops and of course the Mahougakure Academy with the Kage Mansion next to it. There even was a bounty office in this area with the familiar insigna of "Duo" like all of the Bounty Offices had possessed since the last war. As such Diabolos had various pathways, as elite shinobi moved along the rooftops heading towards various areas to reinforce their village against the Nibi's attack while academy students and genin seemed to be directing civilians who had made it to Holyra into various bunkers which seemed to have their entry point closer to the Academy.

Missing-Nin Event Details:

Having come across the first roadblock in his plan to create some chaos, Diabolos would frown as he watched the woman linger around in the shop. Since she was a cripple his immediate thought was to kill her and get on with his life but with his current rank it would be best he held off on using the little chakra he had left. Looking around he would notice the headband that was hanging from the wall and thought of a crazy idea. Messing up his hair a bit he’d hold his left shoulder before hobbling towards the woman. “Oye! What the hell are you doing? We’re under attack” He said adding a bit of fear and anger to his tone. “You should be aware that during these times of crisis the village will compensate you for any damages or loss of goods! Your life is more important than these damn goods woman!” He said trying to ham it up. Of course, he didn’t know if any of this was true or not but the sisters at the monastery did say he was a talented actor so maybe it would pay off. If not, well he’d be fucked.

Elle would look towards the voice before spotting a boy who seemed to be yelling at her for trying to secure her wares rather than escaping. She found that pretty ballsy as he was far too young to be lecturing her but she guessed he had his heart in the right place even though his priorities were all messed up. "Look kid, these are official Mahougakure gear, even if I got reimbursed by the village I'd be swimming in debt in the months that it'll take me to replace them. Besides the more I save the more I can supply the forces if they need gear to repel the attack, so rather than bitch at me why don't you help me out." she said with a roll of her eyes before motioning to a bunch of scrolls which seemed messily stacked at the side of the room.

"I just need to seal the rest of them up, you take those scrolls to the academy bunkers, the shinobi stationed there will know what to do with them. Once you do that come back here and get more, you'll be fine you're an Entity right, it's not like you'll get crushed by rubble or something and those scrolls are made so that even someone like you can pick them up." she said going over to a rack which seemed to have multiple Mahougakure flak jackets and an empty scroll near it before rolling the rack over the scroll channeling chakra and sealing it into said scroll.

He couldn’t help but starting to feel irritated at the fact that nothing was going his way but he needed patience if he was going to survive and achieve his plan. “Sure, I’ll be glad to help” He said with a smile before heading over and picking up the scrolls one by one. He was tempted to ask what was in the scrolls but he already had a faint idea of what was in there having witnessed her seal them up. It was a pity he didn’t know any unsealing techniques to just let them out but he would do the next best thing. Having collected all the scrolls, he would make his way towards the academy but rather than go there directly, he would wait until he was out of sight before making his way through a back alley and laid low a bit before going into an abandoned building. “Now then. Let’s just wait a bit.”

Elle would watch him gather the scrolls but would clear her throat after he gathered four scrolls knowing if he picked up anymore he would be risking his safety since it would be difficult for him to move effectively while not dropping any of them. With that he would be directed to leave and she would inform him to hurry back as quickly as he could. Due to following the normal route and then making a detour Diabolos had managed to get clear after all one wasn't really paying attention to a genin moving through the village with scrolls simply due to the panicking civilians and the chaos that came from beign under attack, besides any who did would figure that he was going somewhere specific rather than simply hiding somewhere. The alley he had taken was empty much to his luck those it seemed before the attack someone was hanging laundry as a clothesline was partially filled while an upturned laundry basket filled with women's underwear was upturned near the wall. Up above if Dia was paying attention he would see shinobi flitting past the rooftops none of them bothering to stop and look down at him even though he wasn't really in an area with real cover. Though perhaps that would have him reconsider where he was and maybe try to get inside the residence who's backyard he was loitering in. A tremor would go through the village at this point in time and the screaming would gain another level of vigor as most likely the Nibi had done something to strike Holyra either way it was more chaotic and the amount of shinobi who were passing back and forth across the rooftops increased, and with that the chance of him being discovered.

Objective Complete (Steal Mahougakure Exclusive Equipment):

Now there was this dilemma. He had already gotten some spoils out of all of this so the smart decision would be to leave the village while everyone was distracted and considering how he had no means to identify as a village shinobi leaving now would be the smart thing to do. But would it be the more interesting choice? Sure he could leave with whatever these scrolls hand but he’d just go back to nothing. Even though his current level was equal to that of an academy student he wanted to see what else was going on in the village. With his mind made up he would try his best to avoid the gazes of those who were traveling on the rooftop he would look to move in the direction of those who looked like civilians and tried his best to mix with the crowd all while keeping his eyes open for anything interesting.
