Gliding Urno Style

Blinded and crippled. As the light faded so did his body. The moment he could move it seemed his most vital parts had been sliced. It seems Bugusam's journey had ended here. He could feel the blood trickle from his wounds. But his eyes... He'd scream out but was didn;t have the strength to. He was less then a bugbear now. It reminded him of his fetid goblin days.

OOC: If you had done 5 more damage I would've Instakilled him. However he's bleeding from such an extensive onslaught. He has 5 post before he dies from his injuries.

Well that was unfortunate, perhaps she should of held back a bit as now she was in a bit of a pickle. She would pick him up over her back holding his weapon in-between her jaws and would proceed to use her climb skill to get back up a tree. From there she would try to use her blood affinity to try and learn some sort of magic which could prevent him from bleeding out. She was feeling lucky but if it didn't work then she would have to pick him up and try to glide from tree to tree until she made her way home. "Ugh, I got too excited I should of held back a bit more, next time I'll stick to joints and not organs. Now come on stop bleeding damn it!" Kobotia thought to herself as she tried to will her mana to help keep him alive.

Patched up, only to Bleed again... As if a whisper through the trees, she could almost hear something off in the distance. Yet she had to concentrate and soon a faint red glow would fill the trees as Urnotia was using her magic. Magical thread filled the pores of Bugusam's wounds and essentially sealed the wound shut. His bleeding had stopped... However... It looked as if the magic was a tad shaky though. The Bugbear was fully unconscious yet alive and was free to be abducted. Seems the Bat like Kobold was getting much more powerful by each day.

Urnotia would smile faintly as it seemed that her magic came through for her, or perhaps it was her deity, either way she now had more time. "I give you my thanks Demi-God of Blood." she mentally prayed before picking the Bugbear up again and jumping off of the tree they were in in order to glide to another one in the direction she knew the Kobold Den was. Hopefully after all of the hunts she was on with her hunting party not to mention the fact that other monsters seemed to be fleeing from her she wouldn't be bothered on the way home. Still that was the whole reason she was choosing to glide and tree hop to make it back, not a lot of monsters were capable of climbing, much less in the eastern part of the Great Forest.

The eastern part of the forest was surprisingly quiet as Urnotia made her way back to the Kobold Den. One would think that with the loss of an alpha such as the Black Wolf only days earlier, this area of the forest would be stirring with excitement and competition between the lesser, but more aggressive beasts of the night. Instead, the sudden removal of an unspoken leader seemed to sow uncertainty and fear in the beasts of the forest, leaving them to move silently or stay home altogether. For it an alpha predator was taken out, that only meant an even more dangerous predator stalked the woods now. Though few realized, that very predator was now gliding through the tree tops.

Moving out of the Den, Flinashiv looked around for a few moments to make sure there was nothing directly nearby but deep down he kind of knew it was pointless, he wasn't the observant one. With that done, he checked his weapons and his equipment before nodding, marking a nearby tree and then heading to the North. It was a place that he had grown used to now, he'd become familiar with this hunting territory and perhaps even with the beasts here, they were good kills and had plenty to offer. He had a feeling they were out here hunting for a different reason though.

Was it just more experience that they were looking for? Or was there something larger out here that they were out to kill? He'd just have to wait and see.

Urnotia would step out of the burrow before looking towards Kobolala and motioning for her to follow after Flinashiv while she climbed up a nearby tree and would use Glide to move from it to another tree. She would do so sneakily while prowling the skies knowing it would be more effective for them to have two avenues of scouting than just one especially in a night like this. While she couldn't directly control the actions of her Betas she liked the fact that they listened to her for the most part and worst case scenario she knew she could rely on Command to make herself a bit more convincing in a pinch. Hopefully Kobolala would heed her words and follow after Flinashiv sneakily but seeing as they was how she was taught to hunt, Urnotia didn't think it needed to be said outright.

the kobold group would travel continue their travel north, yet the only distinguishing thing they could pull out of the ground was the sound of mud popping and the occasionally bug making noises which they had used to cover the sound of their footsteps in the past it was a great tactic for those who never know what or who they are up against. The orc group had a thing for being silent whenever they encountered the unknown and thanks to their leader he made sure of this, despite not being able to see a thing he would command his break to stick together since it was the only way they have survived in the forest.

Urnotia would hear the interesting sounds as it sounded like insect noises however when she used perceive as she glided above she would be able to pinpoint that there was a group of orcs sneaking about. She would notice that Flinashiv hadn't been able to detect them which was fine, as her movements would alert him that there was trouble up ahead, seeing as she would swoop down after taking account of how many Orcs there were in total. As she dropped down she would lash out her Organic Blades moving to quickly isolate one of the Orcs, before slashing at their shoulders while she glided past them. Her quick hit and run attack would be completed when her tail would lash out at the Orc's face as she past them trusting that her attack would be enough to drop them to the ground. "You'll make good meat for my pack, but more importantly bait for what we want to catch." Urnotia said in Kobonish knowing that the Orcs probably wouldn't be able to understand her but her Beta's would and thus would know not to hold back against them. She wasn't interested in taking back prisoners this time around, no all she wanted was meat to feed her pack.

Kobolala due to not being under direct control of Urnotia could go with various options after she heard her Alpha speak, she was still sneaking and could observe her surroundings enough to gauge the various threats as such she would sneak as best as she could from the underbrush in order to attack one of the other Orc's, while they were still reeling from Urnotia's entrance, going for one who wasn't that armored if there was one. She would try to stab the back of their neck with her organic barb before turning, pulling out the natural weapon in the process, and slashing at the back of their knee with the Aqua Barb that was in her tail as despite not using her other hand she was still very much a dual wielder. What she did after was completely up to her as she could; retreat back into cover, attack the Orc she had just savaged again to potentially finish them off, try to dodge a follow-up from the Orcs now that she had revealed herself, parry a follow-up, throw her Horned Foal Horn or even try to use Battle Cry to intimidate one of them and weaken their will to fight.

With Urnotia flying down from her perch, Shiv knew that she had spotted something and that it was time to fight. He drew his dagger into his left hand and curled the claws of his right hand around. Behind him, his short tail flicked, one of the heads of the flail dropping out and slamming into the dirt. He then rolled his shoulders and moved into position. After Urnotia's attack he'd wait a heartbeat for the rest of the Orcs to spin around towards her.

Shiv would immediately try and pick out the largest of them before sliding out of the undergrowth behind him, letting his fury bubble forth. His left hand flashed around attempting to carve into the Orc's eye from behind. It'd be followed up by his tail swinging, the chain of the flail allowing the head to whip around and try and slam into the back of the Orc's knee. Whether it dropped him down or not, Shiv's claw flashed in afterwards as he channeled his mana through the new orb that had appeared in his snout, his claws gleaming green in the wan moonlight of the forest, cleaving down into the Orc's neck and throat.

Spoiler:

the urnotia would be able to pin point the 5 of them, however kobolala only saw 3 she would try a battle cry to cover for urnotia but it would work exactly how she planned it. Instead she would wait to make sure she wasn't setting herself up for certain failure, but keep her barb tight in her palm in case she had to defend herself. Urnotia would be able to smash through their line and take out the one who hid in the middle of the group of 5, this would lead them to turn in acknowledgement of her one-shot one kill.

The 4 remaining orcs(2 tier 0, 2 tier I) in the group would launch an attack onto urnotia, two possessing black cub femurs while the other two held rabbit horns. The who held the black cub femurs would swing into the arms of urnotia while the other two would go to stab her in the shoulderblade.

Urnotia would frown when she noticed her allies hadn't managed to effectively contribute it was unfortunate but sometimes things just happened. "Kobolala, Flinashiv, aim for one of the ones not paying attention!" Urnotia spoke using Kobonish while she relied on Multi-Wield to lash out rather try and dodge relying on her gear to soak up the damage for her while she aimed to wound them. Her first two strikes were aimed at the two Orc's groins while her tail lashed out at the knee of one of the evolved Orcs, while her second two strike were aimed at the evolved orc's groin while her tail did the same as before to the other evolved Orc.

Can't Control Kobolala so need the mod to do so.

Now that they had attacked and Shiv was actually able to see them, he was able to contribute. He focused his fury and rage into his weapons before moving around behind one of the Orcs that Urnotia wasn't targeting as they attempted to attack. He then moved in, swinging his dagger around to try and carve out their eye. He turned his body and lashed out with his tail at that same target, aiming to slam it into their knee and shatter it with the force.

The other part of his dual wield was his claw snapping out towards the other normal Orc that he hadn't targeted, focusing his mana through the orb in his snout to wrap the magical power around his claws. His goddess had given him this gift and he was not going to squander it. His strike was aimed for their neck, attempting to cut in deep and spray as much blood as possible.

OOC: Seeing as you both know these systems left to right and upside down, I'll leave the exp dividing to you for the orc kills, unless you need me to calculate and post them for whatever reason. Just let me know.

The kobolds had once again proved themselves to be some of the most competent hunters the forest had ever seen. Orcs fell at Shiv and Tia's feet, leaving only two still standing. They watched their brethren be cut down quick and in a hurry, a flash of fear and regret passing between them before they clutched their weapons tighter. If they died here, so be it, but they weren't going down without a fight. As they readied to retaliate against the kobolds, two figures broke out into the clearing. One was of the civilized race, an elf by the look of the creature's build and trademark tipped ears. A strange collection of organic material and metal combined to complete her outfit. It seemed sturdy, but allowed her free movement, which was important considering the speed at which she broke out into the forest clearing. She looked back as she ran, seemingly searching for something behind her and completely unaware or uncaring about the small skirmish she had walked in on.

Moments later, what appeared to be her pursuer came crashing through the brush behind the elf. A female Hobgoblin was hot on the elf's trail. However, rather than appearing predatory, this creature instead looked just as frightened and concerned as the elf. Which only meant...
Great deity above, it's already here!? The elf declared in elvish, a mixture of amazement and horror trickling into her voice. Above her, at the edge of the far side of the clearing, the leaves rustled ever so quietly. If one hadn't already known what caused it, they'd just assume it was the wind, but the elf was all too aware of what the source was.

She turned back towards the center of the clearing, facing inward towards the kobolds and orcs and drew her weapon. Her eyes searched the black treetops, looking for any sign of whatever pursued her. The orcs, confused but curious, watched her quietly while still keeping an eye on the kobolds that had killed their kin. Then, without any warning, the orc on the right was lifted into the air by an unseen force and carried away into the treetops. It screamed, a ghoulish swine-like shriek of fear and anguish before there was a sickening crunch and blood splattered the ground where it had once been. The other remaining orc stared at the blood pool and his own hands, which had been covered by the warm crimson. He shook violently, clearing having had enough of this madness and sprinted for the tree line, attempting to run back the way they had come. As he neared the treeline, he too was snatched into the air and dragged up to the treetops. This time, there was no shrieking, there was no blood, but instead a solid thump seconds later as the orc's corpse dropped to the ground. His body was not only broken, but deformed, more bones than not lay shattered under his soft flesh. It was clear now that whatever was in the trees was hunting for sport.

Urnotia wouldn't even be able to celebrate her victory when things started happening causing her to immediately tense up and start scanning the treeline as her hearing would be able to pinpoint that whatever was happening was happening from somewhere above her. With perceive she would try to locate it and if she was successful she would point before speaking in common so that hopefully everyone who was here could understand her. "It's in the trees, gonna try and knock it down!" Urnotia said before rushing towards a nearby tree which it wasn't in before quickly climbing up it and positioning herself so that the trunk of her tree was in-between her and the massive snake. "Here goes nothing..." Urnotia thought to herself before trying to channel her mana into her finger and pointing at the Eclipse King Cobra, she was hoping she might be able to fire off magic in a narrow area so maybe it could like pierce through it or something. Hopefully that was enough to startle it.

Kobolala didn't know what was going on but she would try to ensure that she and her pack survived this, she didn't care for the new arrivals but judging by her alpha's comments they were going to try and work with them. Still she would maintain her distance and try to use observe to look for the thing which had finished off the remaining orcs, she was kind of scared actually and would try to quell her trembling by walking backwards until her back was against the tree Urnotia climbed up. She would look around hopefully she would find something that could assist her, as she really could use some luck right now.

The blood-fury was strong in Shiv and he spun, weapons at the ready to slaughter the rest of the pitiful creatures that had entered the arena, as it were. However he saw fear on them and it wasn't from him and Urnotia, no... There was a greater threat here. At Urnotia's words he snapped his eyes up but he couldn't see anything. Something inside him told him to look further, to look deeper. He channeled his mana into his orb and the world became awash in greens of various shades as he triggered his Nature Sight. While the Cobra wasn't a plant, it was in a tree which most definitely was and Nature Sight didn't give him x-ray vision. Instead he'd hunt for the massive snake shaped black blotch in the tree tops before nodding.

"By the Huntress, assist us and you'll live. Fight." He snarled at the Elf, wrapping his tongue around the unfamiliar noises of what he instinctively knew was Common. Hopefully the Elf understood that language. With that done, Shiv put his weapons away and dashed towards the tree that the bulk of the Cobra's body was in. He leaped up, attempting to grip the bark with his trees before rapidly scaling the trees, using his size to his advantage. As he reached the top, giving enough time for Urnotia to try her magic, he wouldn't draw his weapons. No. He needed to bring this thing down to a level playing field.

Shiv focused his strength and luck and leaped from near the the top of the tree, attempting to wrap his mighty arms around the snake's body and drive it from the tree, bringing it down to the ground like a scaled meteor with him riding on top to cushion the blow, this would give enough of an opening if it worked to let Kobolala and the Elf attack.

Hobulex was hiding in the brush, just until recently she had been fighting that elf for his cool stuff. She couldn't escape it though. She had a small troop with her before. Some goblins. Yet they were killed like stamp pigs to the slaughter. All of them gone. And now she was shuddering in a bush. Watching the fight. Were those Kobolds? She held a great club in her hands and knew the worst had happened now. Hobulex had to fight but she definitely wasn't going to strike first. She stayed off to the side, trying to hide in a large bush.

The Elf was in a separate position and stood in the midst of the monsters with a smile. "So this is how my death greets me. In a field of beast with my quarry's jaws around my neck. He he... Gods help me, it seems my final stand is upon me." She began mumbling to herself in Elvish as she petted the pommel of her blade. Soon enough the elf seemed to be testing themselves as the stress of the situation was starting to peak. She unsheathed her thick vine strewed blade and heard the other beast actually speak to it. Telling her to fight. It. Was. Telling her. What to do... "Shut yer flappers ye foul beast! Ye dare foul the language of yer betters! Ye can't command me!" She'd retort back in the common tongue, it wasn't as practiced as her elvish so it came ut as crude but the intent was there. It seems the monster speaking to her snapped her out of it and her normal monster hating self had returned. She was going to slaughter them all or die trying. Every last monster was a scourge that needed to be eradicated. Looking around to the top she wouldn't try and get the snake that had killed one of her own. Not just yet. She eyed the Kobolds and wondered where the Hobgoblin had run off too. It didn't matter. All would fall to her skill. She get into a defensive sword stance and waited for the beasts for her to strike back.

OOC: Climb gained, but no topple.

The Eclipse King surveyed the area, licking the wind to locate its target. It seemed the furrier creatures were beginning to climb the trees and were growing closer by the moment, an unfortunate mistake on their part. His original prey remained below, which was fine. If he had found them once, he'd find them again and after coiling around the tree he was in the perfect position to deal with them. These new morsels certainly piqued his interest though, as they had decided to go on the offensive rather than to run away as most creatures he encountered did. The first to appear in the trees was the female Kobold, he could sense magic burning within her as she attempted...something. Suddenly, a quick dart of magical energy shot from the kobold's fingers and struck him in the side. The King hissed, annoyed with this sudden pain from a creature so inferior. As it made a movement for Kobotia, Shiv suddenly appeared in the tree tops beside him, lunging forward.

While the snake was certainly larger than anything in the area, this newcomer was by far the largest of the group and not something the Eclipse King had any interest in interacting with up close. He would open his maw, unleashing a large glob of poisonous ooze at Shiv in the middle of his arc. Caught in the air, it would be difficult, if not impossible, for the arctic flind to maneuver safely around the ball of poison. With that nuisance taken care of, the King would turn his attention to his former prey on the ground.
While he knew he could just track them down again, he still didn't want them to escape if he could prevent it. Sucking in air, the Eclipse King unleashed a gush of foul smelling poison that pooled in the clearing, covering everything still on the ground in a dangerous toxin. This would occur just as Lala would find...a rock, large enough to throw but not too big to be cumbersome.

Spoiler:

Urnotia would feel her magic rush out before tagging the Eclipse King Cobra with a new blood magic it was her first offensive spell as the other one she possessed had merely been a hampering type but it was useful. She would decide to keep her mana in reserve for now seeing as it wasn't as if she possessed enough mana to spam this new technique regardless how effective Blood Mana: Blood Dart was. "The floor is dangerous!" she said in Kobonish so that her pack could know that whatever the giant snake had done was not good, it meant that she might have to save them in case one of them did end up managing touching the ground. Below her Kobolala would pick up the rock before tossing it upward at her leader who would Catch it and then throw it at the Eclipse King Cobra's snout while her Beta tried her best to climb the tree her Alpha was on. If she failed then Urnotia would try to help her up by climbing down and holding out a hand for Kobolala to take.

Spoiler:

The snake seemed to be under the impression that Shiv was going to try and dodge the ball of poison that had been spat at him. No, he was too deep within his fury to care about such a thing. He swung his left arm, slamming the poison ball aside with his gauntlets, spraying the fluid up his arm but it wouldn't impede his progress, his momentum was still strong. Thus it would be that he'd slam bodily into the Snake, driving it out of the trees and down to the ground for it had failed to interrupt his Topple.

As they both fell towards the Earth, Shiv let out a mighty roar and swung his blade and claws up to try and butcher the snake's face, specifically its eyes, aiming to tear them out and reduce the advantage that the giant beast had over them. As he done so, he reached deep within himself, seeking to toss things aside for power. He had made a mistake a short while ago and he realised that now, his evolution was to be natural, not influenced. With that in mind, he grabbed hold of the power that sat dormant within his blood and offered it up to the Huntress, the Demigoddess of Nature that he knew was watching over him. He didn't want this unnatural alteration and he hoped that by casting it aside, he would please her.

Spoiler:

I"t's back. The damned beast had returned. This pride wasn't worth death. The Eclipse Cobra! Of all cursed beast to stumble upon. I need to get out of here.” She could hear the sinister hissing coming from above. Quickly she had to slide out of the way of the incoming poison wave. Narrowly avoiding the thick muck of poison the HobGoblin would take her chance and run away.  Goblins strong together and she was alone! Their was nothing here for her.

The Green Squire saw the muck coming she was waiting for it! “Nature Mana: Bark Shield!” She chanted out in Elvish and in that moment in her free hand a large tower shield in the shape of a strong oak tree sprung from the vibrant green mana emanating from her hand. A distressed smirk formed on her face. “I didn't think I'd have to use this!” She continued in elvish as her tall and powerful shield had deflected some of the poison the snake was attempting to coat them in, yet it seems she felt the incoming poison take effect. Her shield wouldn't save the ground surrounding  her but the important thing was she was not surrounded  in that miasma like magic. She Brandished her sword and thought how could she get up there or fully attack the beast. She had summoned her shield and awaited her chance. Afterall all these beast had to come to her if they had wanted her dead. “Come get me ye stuupid animal!” She yelled in her broken common as she was ready to kill any of her treeborne foes. Suddenly her chance showed as her enemies were suddenly becoming increasingly closer. “Nature Mana: Entangle!” Below the Falling Cobra and Flind, black bramble sprouted from the ground to do this elf's bidding. She hoped the magic would take effect as she was prepared to cut through any beast unlucky enough to be held. Her skin felt as if it were on fire. She held her Shield close as she didn't trust any other of these beasts.

Spoiler:

Kobolala followed her Alpha's word closely, and had her undying trust. So when said the floor was dangerous, then the floor was dangerous. Taking the rock by her feet she threw it up for her Alpha to use, followed by climbing, with help if needed, and took her place among the branches. There was a fear in her chest for what they were facing, but the flash back to the night which changes events for the once feeble Kobold rose back up. She would keep her Alpha, her fellow Beta, safe, and that was through her voice. Climbing in to the tree, she focused on where this giant snake was, and bellowed a Battle Cry.

The Eclipse King would be struck by the arctic flind, suddenly feeling itself being knocked to the earth below by the large beast. The tree it was coiled around would groan and creak, threatening to snap but thankfully held firm. The snake hissed as the flind fell to the ground, annoyed that such an inferior creature had dare to touch it. As it hissed, something would impact its snout, causing it to immediately turn in the direction of the pain. Remembering the other Kobold in the tree, the one who had used blood magic, the snake's tongue darted out repeatedly. If snakes could smile, this was how they showed it. With all the ruckus from the larger Kobold, he had momentarily forgot about the other one sitting in the tree and now, to his delight there seemed to be two. Excellent, he had forced at least someone else up into the trees with his drench attack. This smaller female seemed to suck in air before releasing a high pitched squeak, clearly embarrassed by the results. How amusing.

The Eclipse King would begin maneuvering through the trees, camouflaged by the night and tree tops unless one possessed some superior tracking/seeing ability. Moving closer to the two female Kobolds, he would coil the middle of his body around a new tree, not trusting the strength of the previous one, while leaving his tail and head free to move about. These were the perks of being such a massive creature. He would dart forward, attempting to bite the blood magic user's midsection, his fangs aiming for her soft belly. Meanwhile, with that to contend with, his tail would snake along the tree branches, finding the smaller kobold female and attempting to wrap her with his tail. Usually this skill was used for specifically choking prey by the neck, but due to the size difference, the female Kobold would find herself completely ensnared by the massive snake, her body wrapped and the life being slowly squeezed out of her.

Spoiler:

Urnotia would easily be able to keep track of the Eclipse King Cobra's movement due to a combination of Urd Hearing, Dissect & Perceive making it difficult for it to merely slip around her as such she would shift her body in anticipation before speaking up. "Lala, behind you!" Urnotia said before focusing her mana into her finger tips and firing two Blood Mana: Blood Darts into the Eclipse King Cobra's throat. She knew she'd be fine if she got bit thanks to her armor but she was hoping that landing such attacks would result in Kobolala having an opportunity to get out of the way. Not to mention she knew her Basic Monster Weapons skill would come through for her anyways she didn't necessary need to  Besides when it provided such a juicy target for her she couldn't resist targeting it, she was relying on Kobolala to handle herself and look out for Flinashiv if he needed assistance as her full attention was going to be on the gigantic snake.

Spoiler:

His quarry was still in the damn trees! Although at least he'd been able to use the snake almost like a rope, preventing him from slamming too hard into the ground. Black brambles then burst up around him and wrapped around his body, preventing him from moving from his spot. He snarled and gnashed at the air for a few moments before snapping his gaze towards the Elf that had cast the magic upon him. Did she not see that he was trying to save her life? Well if she saw him as a foe, it was only fair to return the favour.

Shiv spent a moment focusing his eyes on the Elf, breathing heavily, fury bubbling through him. He couldn't move, couldn't close the distance... But what if he didn't have to? He flicked the dagger around in his hand, focused intently and then swung his hand out. The dagger flew flat, aimed directly for the Elf's eye to try and take her out of the fight immediately, he was hoping his aim was true. After that he started to pull at the brambles around him trying to rip them out so he could get back to the slaughter.
