ZardHatta was moving with his new pack. ZardTae was actually taking the lead. She kept low to the ground and made sure their pace was slow. ZardGown was relatively new at this too. According to ZardTae they must stay quiet. Only when the Hunt has started is when they could say more then a simple phrase. They snuck through the brush in hopes of finding prey. Their movements were off and the two males were stepping on brush and making noise. ZardHatta was simply trying to observe his area, maybe see signs of prey. ZardTae was getting mad at them though and they tried to be more wary of their surroundings. It was just a matter of time before the true hunt began. According to ZardGown they were going East. "Follow Sun in morning. Follow Sun at night to get home." ZardGown wasn't one for much words but he seemed to be chocked full of wisdom.

Zardhatta would continue onward through the brush being unable to see anything really honestly it was more difficult than most monsters through whereas he and Zardgown weren't able to sneak it would seem that Zardfae was a natural as she didn't seem to really make noise unlike them. Either way they would stumble upon two Armored Kit's playing with each other chasing their tails and all in all the picture perfect example of cuteness for monsters with their armored plates mainly being along their back limbs and bushy tails but still they were quite adorable. Whereas to those starving Lizardkin they were adorably cute to get in their bellies, post haste, well unless Zardhatta some other ideas besides feeing himself.

The trio of them spotted the adorable Kits. But they looked scrawny. Zardfae and ZardGown Wanted to feed already. ZardHatta had a better idea. "Sneak over... Scare them. We catch." Zardfae knew she was leagues better at sneaking then these two lumbering oafs so nodded and began sneaking around the little grove the two armored kits had been playing in. ZardGown looked anxious but nodded in approval. The plan was on.

The Armored Kits looked distracted. As adorable as they were this was only the way life panned out. Things were born to be eaten. And today it would not be these Lizardkin. ZardFae had hopefully snuck without getting the attention of the two armored kits, trying to aim for her fellow Zards. She'd spring forward and let out a loud hissing roar. That was the signal. ZardGown leapt first and ZardHatta followed up. The two would attempt to tackle the kits. ZardHatta, if landed would attempt to bite down on the strange creatures soft underside as it's claws would grip as strong as it could muster into the kit. ZardGown tried a different approach. More in favor of the snake like approach. It's Tail would wrap against itself and the kit and it would begin to squeeze the life out of the critter.

The plan would go flawlessly as everything they wanted to happen happened and with much better results than what they thought, the first thing that happened was that when Zardfae burst out and tried to scare them her battle cry would cause the one she was closest to to freeze up. This would cover the approach of Zardgown who seemed much better at sneaking than Zardhatta as she would attack the other Armored Kit with a tackle but was too clumsy to be able wrap her tail around it's neck to slowly choke the life out of it. Meanwhile Zardhatta wasn't good at sneaky and thus made noise but it didn't matter as his target was still stunned in fright from Zardfae's sudden appearance and loud cry thus allowing it to be knocked down by Zardhatta's body weight even though he just ran into him with his clumsy self. Still he seemed good at figuring stuff out as the Armored Kit was promptly bitten on it's underbelly by Zardhatta the bite digging into it's soft flesh. All in all the ambush was successful as despite still being alive both Armored Kits were in horrible positions with the first being pinned down and bitten while the second was knocked off it's feet albeit it managing to get up before rolling into a ball so that none of it's insides were revealed and using it's new position to roll towards Zardgown for an attack.

[b]Effect:[/b] A cry meant to intimidate an opponent causing them to suffer from intimidation which results in their flee success chance having a minor boost however it likewise results in their Defense being hampered by a Minor penalty. Battle cry has a chance to work depending on the level of this skill improving the more it is used in battle due to it's effects being honed and eventually mastered. Battle Cry can only be used on a single opponent in one Turn, those with Fear Tolerance lower the success chance by a Minor amount while those with Fear Resistance lower the success chance by a Major Amount.

Zardhatta wouldn't give up it's assault and kept pinning and biting the armored kit. It's jaws would not release until he was sure that this kit was dead. It was necessary. He had plans for this kit. But he kept his concentration on the kill.

ZardGown was upset that this insignificant little kit escaped it's grasp. Though the kit decided to stand it's ground instead of run. Good. "Fight like a warrior!" Zardgown roared as the Armored Kit spun at it. ZardGown would attempt to use it's hefty tail once again. The beast came and ZardGown tensed it's tail, it would swing as hard as it could against the incoming Kit hoping to knock it to it's side.

ZardFae was now in the open. It knew ZardGown was prideful. But she couldn't stand on the sidelines and do nothing. If ZardGown was successful in knocking the Kit over she would go and try to pin the kit down. If that failed it would continue trying to pin the kit down regardless.

The Armored Kit would try to struggle as it was being savaged by Zardhatta but the combination of his bulk and it's smaller size it was unable to curl up into it's favored defensive position and would scratch ineffectually at his scales it's weak claws not even slicing into his flesh. Meanwhile Zardgown would swing it's tail like a bat and manage to hit it but it would merely fly back while still curled into a ball, in addition when Zardfae held it down it would remain in it's ball form and would refuse to get out of it as long as it was being held by Zardfae.

ZardHatta felt as if the resistance the kit put against it was practically nonexistent. It unclenched it’s jaw and notice Zardfae was pinning the other one down. Both Fae and Gown were trying to bite through or pierce the thick hide of the armored kit. ZardHatta attempted to forage for a large rock. it needed the stone as the the others pinned the kit. It wanted to smash the Armored Kit and kill it with the shock of the powerful strike. ZardHatta needed as much meat as it could get though. A small prayer went out to the kit as ZardHatta bludgeoned it’s hard shell trying to break down its defenses.

They would succeed in bludgeoning the armored kit through it's shell with it letting out pained sounds and the constant damage eventually wore down on it until it uncurled and lay dead on the ground. It seemed that they would be eating Armored Kit today which was good considering Zardhatta had survived off of just scraps since his birth it must feel like quite an accomplishment. One of them would look around wondering if they were going to hunt again, that one being Zardgown whereas Zardfae would just speak up as she had no problem speaking her mind. "We can hunt more I think, one more then sun goes down or...we stop here and go eat at burrow. she said with shrug.

Having gotten his first taste of fresh blood ZardHatta relished in it. But he didn't allow himself to indulge. He took another solid bite from the kit and then picked up the remains by it's tail. ZardHatta would walk toward their friend. "You both should eat that. But this one? What if we let prey come to us instead of look for prey? I say one more hunt. But we use this to bring them to us. If nothing come we eat this one and head home." Sure ZardHatta was still hungry but it had been living off scraps this entire time, if it could get a bigger meal with just a small sacrifice it would try it out.

ZardGown went down And began consuming the Armored Kit it had helped to kill. It had no objection to this plan seeing as it didn't have to give up it's own kill. What ZardHatta would do with it's kill was up to him. She shrug and continued to eat. After a moment it stopped eating as this kill also belonged to Zardfae. "Hurry so we can be ready for next beast." ZardGown would wait for ZardFae to begin to eat before resuming. Making sure her kin was fed as well this was there kill afterall.

Once the meal was over ZardHatta would lead the trio to the closest clearing they could find. He'd place what was left of his Armored Kit in the center. The two Zardgals would begin to hide within the brush and the two would enter their stealth positions. ZardHatta was to bulky and loud so ZardFae demanded He go across the clearing and try hiding there. ZardHatta couldn't argue and simply attempted to hide across from the sneaking duo. They would watch over the slain kit and kept aware of their surroundings. Waiting for something to take the bait.

Sure enough a solitary Black Wolf would come sniffing for the fresh kill and upon arriving it would sniff around the area a bit before deciding to take bites out of the remaining Armored Kit. All of them would see it and both Zardfae and Zardgown would look at Zardhatta as if he was pretty smart as both of them hadn't though of something like that, personally they thought he was a weirdo for wasting meat. Still if things were like this then so long as they left a portion they were guaranteed to attract other prey for them to hunt down the only danger being attracting something too dangerous to fight on their own.

ZardHatta knew something would come. It was wild though. It was about his size, if not a bit bigger. However their were 3 of them compared to it's one. ZardHatta had to take its chance. Now or never. Something that big would be an issue normally. It's claws seem impressive. This was ZardHatta's idea so he had to take the initiative. As the Wolf feasted on the Armored Kit he leapt from the brush and charged the wolf, teeth bared and attempted to bite the wolf.

Seeing the ZardHatta rushing in caused the other two to spur into action. ZardGown and ZardFae let out a juvenile roar collectively as they too rushed forward. Zardfae was confident in their yell while ZardGown was acting on a more primal thought. ZardGown attempted to tackle the wolf to its side, aiming to throw it's entire weight against the wolf. ZardFae leapt at the wold and would attempt to latch onto it's back with it's claws as it attended to rake whatever flesh she could get her claws on. If luck was on their side then their meal would be exquisite.

The three Lizardkin would take on the Black Wolf and under normal circumstances this would be a tough fight but the Black Wolf was outnumbered but also lacked the initiative of surprise and thus would end up ambushed in such a way. Zardhatta's bite would grasp one of it's hindlegs which would cause it to yelp but before it could run it was stunned by the Battle Cry of Zardfae which would leave it open to Zardgown's tackle. This would knock it over causing Zardfae's landing to be on it's side though that just made it end quicker as her claws would slice up it's flanks. Suffice to say in very short order the Black Wolf was slain with all of them reaping the bounty in both meat and experience.

A success! The 3 Lizardkin had ambushed and quickly overtook the Black Wolf. ZardHatta was starving. He had given up the meal of the Armored Kit for this bigger prey. Though honestly having bitten into the kit he was surprised how it sort of tasted better compared to the Wolf. Poor child didn't know that predators tended to be tough and not as delicious as traditional prey. But he didn't care. He had his fill. ZardFae and ZardGown had had filled their stomachs and were content with both the meal and ZardHatta's effort. Once full ZardHatta looked to the carcass of the Wolf. Their was still meat on it. Opening his little pouch he pulled out his water crystal and had a small drink to wash the blood down. "We should head home.'' ZardFae said and ZardGown nodded in agreement. "We follow the sun." Plain and simple, ZardHatta nodded. However pulling the wolf around would've been... a drag. ZardHatta looked around. "Help me find something to take the beast apart. Than we bring meat home for ZardGran! ZardHatta would look around for maybe a sharp stone. He had seen some of the older warriors with crude tools in the past few days. ZardGown though tried her best to bite through the tough tendons and joints on the wolf whild Zardfae held it steady for it's kin.

Zardhatta would find a sharp stone though it seems he wasn't any good at separating the beast and after a couple of poor attempts Zardfae would get annoyed and growl at him when he tried to continue, it was obvious she just wanted to head home and with Zardgown's agreement they would head out. They would quickly get back to the burrow with no other encounters as it seemed like the days hunt was over.

At least it was able to find something somewhat useful. ZardHatta would wipe the blood from the stone and place it in his small pouch. He would drag what little he could scrape off of the wolf. Just something for the person who gave him the confidence to go on this hunt. Dragging a simple leg, it would have to suffice for it's very first hunt. He followed his Lizard Kin home and they would rest from their antics of the day. He finally felt sure of himself.

A new day. Day 4 of sentience. Day 4 to make something of himself.

A new opportunity to hunt. ZardHatta approached his compatriots of ZardGown and ZardFae and offered them another opportunity to fill their bellies and give them new chances to gain stories to tell of their hunt around the nightly fire. he waved over at ZardGran as he left, hoping the gift he had brought back to her was a good. Though now the trio's had continued their trek East. Once they got near the edge of familiar territory they all began to sneak forward. ZardHatta was still as graceful as bull but he was hoping to follow his two LizardKin in their steps, hoping to imitate then so he wouldn't be the reason an ambush fails. In their sneaking in the brush they would seek out new prey. They were hunters after all. You find a process and stick to it. They hoped for some tasty prey.

zardhatta would watch and copy every step the two in front of him made until he was able to learn the skill that the two of them possessed, since it was still early in the day the prey were easier to be noticed… the greater armored tanuki laid on the ground cuddled up in its own shell which to it was the most defensive thing a monster can own. the group of lizards would stop to look at the tanuki "show your strength, zardhatta, lead" zardfae spoke to the zardhatta as he had hid behind them the whole way here.

The hunt was going smoothly, his steps became quieter and he followed Zardfae and Zardgown and Zardfae had stopped. She turned to him and told him to prove himself. To Lead. ZardHatta had thought he had good ideas. He guessed that meant he had to take charge when prey came about. The Greater Armored Tanuki hadn't noticed them yet and it was far larger then those armored kits from yesterday. He had to think... It looked as if it was resting in it's shell. The night prior the two had told him how tough the shell of the prior kits had been. He'd probably hurt himself if he used his jaws on it. The kit was resting he had a moment. "We need to crack shell... Zardgran told me how useful rocks are... Zardhatta would pull out the sharp stone he had picked up yesterday. His tiny rock didn't look like it would do much... Then he looked up. The trees. A huge asset. He pointed up "I'm going to jump it... When I do pounce on it." Then he started to sneak over to the tree with any branches standing over the kit. He'd climb the tree and as soon as he was somewhat over the kit he'd do his simple plan.

ZardHatta would jump down and attempt to stab the Greater Armored Kit with his sharp stone. ZardFae and ZardGown would leap from the bushes and would try to jump and help pin down the greater armored tanuki. They were ready for resistance and if they were thrown off the beast they would definitely circle it in response.

Despite the fact his plan was sound, he wasn’t that good With thinking on his feet. Instead of climbing the tree he would simply fall down every time him made a bit of progress from the floor, which relatively was a bit distracting to someone trying to test this early in the morning. The greater armored tanuki wasn’t that much of a morning person thus would throw itself at the lizard who’d try to climb the tree, biting him on his leg then falling back to show the group he wasn’t an easy target.

He had seen other Zard's make the climb so easily. He thought all he had to do was grip into the wood. However he kept slipping and alerted the Tanuki. It bit him and ZardHatta let out a screech of pain. Their ambush was ruined. And it was his fault. The beast was far larger then it and it knew he was there. Do or die. ZardFae said prove himself. But now this beast would fight more diligently then it would from an ambush. He knew it. He needed to back off and tend to this wound first. ZardHatta backed away into the bushes and rushed toward his comrades. "We flee. Now. Come back later..." He was being stern and tried to assert himself to the other two.

He began trailing off away from the armored Tanuki. He pulled the little water crystal out from his pouch and took a drink before he would place the crystal on his wound and attempted to activate it with the aim of cleaning his wound. ZardFae and ZardGown would catch up eventually, both rather annoyed and yet at the same time concerned for their comrade. "Scales cracked... You need to shed them off to let new ones grow." Zardgown had told him and... Duh. He had forgotten about it. He waited for the bleeding from the shallow bite to stop before he tried to shed the amaged scales from the bite. In midst of his attempt he would tell them. "I will try harder... let's go." ZardHatta says leading the trio into the brush as they would start their search for new prey that they could swarm as a team.

being that zardhatta fled he was able to leave without much of an issue, zardfae would follow behind him wuithout much of an issue but zardgown with trip over a branch before getting attacked to death by the fierce greater armored tanuki.

the two would make it a fast distance before realizing that zardgown was no longer behind zardgown, they would eventually wait for 10 minutes before coming to the realization that she wasn't coming back anytime soon. Leaving the cruel thing called faith to have its way with her.

"you left zardgown… you not zardhatta. you zardcoward." she announced angrily as her friend was taken by the faith that zardhatta lead them to.

They had escaped away from the beast but now... Their was someone missing. Where is ZardGown?" ZardHatta asked as both he and ZardFae was in the midst of running away and began to tend to his wound. She must've fallen behind. He worried about himself as he would give her time to catch up. Shedding the damaged scales and cleaning the wound with his water crystal. The two waited in silence as he waited for the bleeding to stop. He stood up and the realization hit the both of them. Zardfae began to yell at him. Saying it was his fault. And honestly it was. He felt horrible. "I thought she was with us! We couldn't fight that thing because I messed up! Stop reminding me..." Quietly he moped to a tree and attempted to climb it. IF I COULD ONLY CLIMB BETTER! WHY!?"He clawed at the tree as he wanted to climb not fall anymore. He had been scared for his own life that the life of his friend was simply gone just as quickly . He... Had to get over this. No matter how hard far he climbed if he even climbed at all... He slid down. "We must go... We must hunt. ZardGown would want us to keep going. If we stay, beasts will come and eat us... I will make sure that this will never happen again..." ZardHatta was a mess but he knew that they had to eat. He was shaken but he knew this was just another day in this cruel cruel world. Call it a rude awakening.

zardhatta would attempt to climb the tree once more, yet he failed once again falling to the ground with a face full of tears, when he'd finish all of that he'd would notice a familiar face behind staring at him from the side of the tree. the armor tanuki stay low almost as if it was trying to utilized sneak, but it wasn't working for it either as it was making more noise than it actually wanted. it also bared the smell of ripe fruit.

ZardHatta's sadness waived over and in it's place... Rage... It looked at the prey it had try to run away from. Apparently they were prey now... APPARENTLY THEY WERE PREY NOW! "You'll die for what you did to ZardGown!" ZardHatta let out as vicious of a roar that he could muster and leapt into the bushes. ZardGown was gone and wasn't coming back. He needed to kill this damned thing. Fear had been such a factor in his short life. Even if he died he would take this thing with him. He started clawing and biting wildly as it aimed to eat this damn tanuki alive. ZardFae realized what was going on as soon as Zardhatta jumped away. She trailed in and let out a Battle Cry! She jumped in and looked to see the cursed Tanuki. Not even caring she'd try to jump onto the beast and rake at it with her claws.

zardhatta was surprised that his attempt to bite the armored tanuki would fail, causing him to throw his claws at it two times. which the tanuki wasn't not completely sure how to react, he would simply go to bite on the leg zard which wasn't effective compared to the damage the zardkin dealt with its two strikes. this would cause zardfae to be ready to help out however he said, but that was up to him to choose for her.
