Hidden Kobold Style (Kobotia's Path)

Kobotia would emerge from the cave and have each of the groups split up with the other two heading to the South & East respectively while she and the two Kobold with her would head north. Tia would look around first to see if there were any trees nearby trying her best to commit them to memory. Once she did that she would spare the other two a look just to observe them briefly then would proceed to crouch downward and proceed very carefully turning back and motioning for the other two to do the same. "It would be better if we tried to be quiet and avoided speaking unless absolutely necessary. That way we don't spook any potential prey..or alert any predators to our location." she would whisper to them so they didn't think she was acting all careful for no reason, either way with that she would continue to move while looking around to see if she could find something worth collecting while also keeping her ears trained in case of anything else lurking about. Hopefully the other two managed to pick up her intentions and did the same in regards to looking around, after all they weren't just looking for food for themselves but were trying to provide for the others back home.

Kobotia would notice that the other Kobold were just as Kobogranny had described, as agile and intelligent as herself, nothing too special. The Alpha appeared to be more inclined to growing in strength, while the other seemed to be better for quick movements and stealth maneuvers, as he was just a smidge thinner and lighter than his other companions. Within the area around them is where Kobotia would find interest. She would see tracks, two sets. The way they were placed showed that whoever made them were quadrupeds. They moved up the trail before diverging, each going into the trees and underbrush to either side of the trail. She wouldn't be able to glean anything else from the tracks, but she would know that there would possibly be some other creatures in the forest with them. Her companions would follow her lead, the Alpha more tense and the other a bit paranoid. They were both watching their backs and Tia's, attempting to make sure that nothing would be able to get the drop on them. They would follow her wherever she went, all she needed to do was lead. Hopefully she wouldn't lead them into the path of danger...

Kobotia would point towards the tracks and would note that they walked on four legs, which narrowed down a couple of things such as the fact that in most cases those types of monsters would most likely be faster than those who walked on two legs. Simply because they had more contact with the ground and if they were around the same size as the two leg monster they'd most likely outrun them. Thus she would proceed rather than split up she would head to the left one and motion for them to follow her silently. If she did manage to spot something she would observe them first just to try and get a basic idea of how they might fight based on their capabilities and if they were a herbivore then she would try to silently instruct them to surround it so that even if they were noticed they could make sure it didn't escape.

The other two Kobold would follow behind Tia in the same manner she went forwards, sneaking in case they came across anything they wanted to hunt, or anything that wanted to hunt them. Kobotia wouldn't find anything on her path, but she did have the choice to keep walking. Should she observe the ground, she would notice that the tracks were still there, yet broken up do to being covered by debris. She could lead her group to follow the tracks, or move out of the brush to join back to the main path. It was all up to their fearless leader to decide.

Tia would continue onwards as even though they were headed into the brush it was most likely whatever they were looking for would frequent this than the main path but they would just have to be extra careful so that they didn't end up startling it by cluing it to the fact that it was being hunted or worse attract something else. Instead she would continue to attempt to move stealthily while keeping her eyes open so she could try and observe where the tracks would lead seeing as they could directly follow them due to the debris breaking them up every now and then. Hopefully they'd find what they were looking for otherwise this would of been time that they could of spent searching for something else.

It would be quite some time, but Tia and co would stumble upon a black curled up mass of fur. It's chest was slowly rising and falling, apparently sleeping. It would be quite obvious that this creature was the origin of one of the tracks, as they led directly to the creature's positioning. They if Tia remembered, however, the creature would not be alone as there was another set of tracks on the main road. That creature could be somewhere around them, possibly watching them or prowling around the area. More would most likely be revealed upon further observation, but as it stood they had the option of either leaving, searching around the area, or attacking the creature in front of them.

OOC: Vix, you may take control of the other two Kobold from this point on.

Kobotia would see their target up ahead and would first utilize observe in order to get an idea of exactly what they were facing, while she did so she would gesture with her hand once more essentially attempting to inform the other two that, just like her previous commands, they would be attempt to circle around their target stealthily and then attack it from all sides in a sort of flanking maneuver. Koboalpha & Kobosnek would listen as the idea of being able to eat meat was too much of a teaser to try and muck it up with personal grudges or adoration of his new leader respectively. Thus Kobosnek would do so, trying his best to sneak better than Koboalpha as he felt that the other Kobold could hold his own much more in a fight than he could and his main chance would be from a surprise attack from behind. Meanwhile Koboalpha would proceed carefully as well and when all three of them were in position the Kobusnek would unsheathe his Organic Barb.

They would then commence the attack with Koboalpha moving first followed by Kobosnek and Kobotia would be the last to move but the delay between them wasn't long at all, seeing as all of them had learned from what happened in the Kobold Burrow and saw just how effective teamwork could be and unlike before all three of these Kobolds had no injuries whatsoever. As a result Koboalpha would essentially try and pounce on their sleeping target with his jaws wide open to try and bite it's neck and then grab a hold of it in order to pin down it's movements with his body. Kobosnek would then follow up by racking his Organic Barb along it's eyes, taking inspiration from how he saw Kobotia fight the female Alpha and knowing that by targeting the eyes it made it easier for a weaker opponent to fight a stronger one. Finally Kobotia would observe the positions of her comrades so she didn't get in their way and stab into their prey with both of the organic barbs she was holding in her hands aiming for the belly seeing as Koboalpha would essentially be on it's back with his jaws clamped as tight as they could on it's neck, hopefully if successful it would put their prey in a much worse position than it was in before with multiple puncture wounds and it's ability to move restricted. That way if it did try to counter attack they could continue to jab at it until it was dead, either way once Kobosnek dealt his attack he would pull back a bit in order to get out of the range of any potential retaliation, Koboalpha would hold on due to sheer subbornness and slight blood lust while Kobotia would would try to observe it's condition after their attacks and if it was still alive she would stab into the holes she would have already opened up in it's belly once more.

Kobotia:

The attack of the first two Kobold was successful indeed. Koboalpha latched onto the pup's neck and Kobosnek slashed at his eyes, dealing enough damage to snuff out the little creature's life before it could even call out for help. It was lucky that the first two were able to get the drop on their foe through stealth, making little to no noise, but Kobotia wasn't as fortunate. As she moved to make her attack, she snapped a twig and alerted their movements to another sleeping form hiding in the underbrush. The other Black Pup saw her companion dead on the ground and saw red. She slipped from her own hiding space silently, like black death, and pounced on Kobotia, knocking to the ground and biting at her neck to try and kill her like they had killed her friend. This injustice would not go unpunished, she would make sure of it!

There was a reason why Kobotia hadn't unsheathed her own tail barb and that was to keep it as a last resort in case she needed to, furthermore thanks to the information she obtained from earlier about the tracks she knew that there had to be another Black Pup lurking somewhere around. Finally, she had kept her ears trained previously to try and be aware of the sound of someone else moving towards her, either way if all of these things still didn't give her enough foresight to avoid being suddenly sneak attacked then her actions when she was suddenly attacked would ensure she wasn't picked off just like that. Sure she would go tumbling down however she would use both of the organic barbs clutched in her hands to stab the eyes of the Black Pup who was clinging to her neck while wagging her tail, with her own organic barb unsheathed, furiously attempting to use that to slash the Black Pups stomach open. She wouldn't leave it at that but would make sure to twist her hands to do as much damage as possible once the puncture was made to force the Black Pup to at the very least back-off or inflict more agony upon it. If she was successful then while she would be injured sure she wouldn't be completely down for the count and her opponent would hopefully be dead in return, one thing was for sure though after this she would most definitely have to head back to the burrow in order to recuperate from her injuries. Hopefully with the combined food of not one but two Black Pups in addition to the food the others brought back. Either way she could not afford to look weak in front of her allies, especially with Koboalpha near, she had to show him that she was worthy of following and didn't just make it due to her wits. Besides her staying alive wasn't only for her, but was for both his and the rest of the Kobold's skae she didn't want it to turn back into the Kobo eat Kobo world it was before she changed things after all, and she also didn't want to deprive their race of a potentially powerful fighter.

Spoiler:

The strike to the pup's eyes would blind her while also dealing significant damage. The slash to her stomach did her in, causing her body to fall limp over the female Kobold. It was a good kill, and all together a good hunt for three inexperienced younglings like themselves. They would be able to feed not only themselves, but quite a few others for a couple of days if they rationed their hunt well. All they needed to do was get back to the den without encountering something that wanted their hunt, or worse yet: them.

Tia would bare her teeth before using the barbs that she had used to impale the black pup to aid her in hoisting it on her back. "Now we go home." she said looking towards the other two Kobolds so they knew she meant business as there wasn't telling what would try and take their hard earned food from them if they lingered around for too long. Once they agreed she would turn and begin to make her wat back as quickly as possible but taking care to still be cautious and stay out of sight by crouching especially with the black pup over her shoulders hopefully to anything else it would be like a large black shape which would scare them off. Though itd be much better if they weren't seen, thankfully she remembered the path home especially since she had been observing everything on their way here.

------------------Day 2---------------------

Kobotia was in a larger group than what she was accustomed to and she was still at bit unsettled by the situation which had gone on back in their den, however she was determined to not let it ruin their chances of a successful hunt. "Kobosnek could you teach me how to sneak effectively while Koboalpha teaches Kobodirk? We will be headed East this time around, I want to get more knowledge of the area." she said asking the blooded members of her Hunting Party to pass on some of their knowledge, sure she could of tried to obtain it on her own but it would be more effective this way not to mention it would get the newest pack member up to speed. At the same time it would increase the other two's capability in the skill after all being able to teach can likewise be a learning experience. If they agreed she would make sure to observe them all carefully that way she could pick up on the subtle things they did to sneak, the differences or similarities between the two blooded pack members and finally whether Kobodirk managed to grasp what he was being taught.

Kobosnek and Koboalpha would break up into groups like they suggested, kobosnek would show kobotia his footwork moving at the pace he would move when he does ue sneak. It was a bad example from the teacher making it very difficult for exactly what he was doing with his feet, on the other hand kobodirk seemed to be in a worse sitution as he could even grasp the concept of how koboalpha was moving much less remaining quiet when he did do it. Kobotia examined closely how both footwork were similar yet kobosnek moved his feet quickly, with less motion to each step compared to koboalpha. It was writen not only on kobodirk face but also in his body langauge that he had absolutely no idea what he was trying to learn. Kobatia could try to have them teach it to them to them again or they could began todays hunt, which ever they choose the decision was completely up to kobotia.

Kobotia would frown as it seemed like the two she had chosen to teach weren't exactly a right fit. Still she wanted another try and if it still failed then she would have to try and obtain it on her own and hope Kobodirk would pick it up as they were hunting otherwise they would have to be bait for a successful ambush. "Hm this isn't working, switch Koboalpha you try and show me while Kobosnek why don't you teach Kobodirk instead. If it still doesn't work we'll just have to go on our hunt without that. Just be quiet so we don't attract unwanted attention." she said trying to use observe once more to try and glean more information from what was going on. Hopefully this time she would be able to pinpoint exactly what was wrong with the instructions being given to her and Kobodirk, and maybe use that understanding to learn how to Sneak.

it seemed kobotia was as knowledgeable as ever, the choice to switch the mentor was one of the better choices for the group, koboalpha seemed to get closer to kobotia and even went as far as placing her heel correctly against the floor. whenever kobotia would mess up her foot movement koboalpha would fix it for her, then look up and smile at her, it seemed the two was a bit more friendly towards each other; yet it was koboalpha being friendlier towards kobotia. On the other hand kobosnek and kobodirk seemed to have a similar learning style which made getting the understand of how to use the skill sneak a breeze for kobodirk. Kobolt hunting team alpha had all completely obtained the sneak skill they could spend two hour training their newly obtained skill or begin to move farther into the forest to begin their hunting.

hunting team alpha:

Kobotia would nod rather excited that it seemed like all of them were able to sneak and thus she would head off moving silently while observing the trail ahead of them to see if she could locate tracks or some other indicator of what they could potentially hunt. She would instruct them to maintain a formation similar to a triangle, Koboalpha and Kobosnek were in the back while Kobodirk was in the center that way their weakest link was protected on all sides while she could scout ahead and the other two could guard their backs. That way all of them could stealthily move through the forest only attracting the attention when they wanted to during the hunt rather than making noise and having something dangerous come upon them. She did however notice that Koboalpha had warmed up to her, which made her happy as she wanted to prove herself to be a capable leader and didn't want to alienate him, after all she needed his strength to benefit the pack. She wanted to trust him as she felt that besides herself and Kobolala, perhaps he could be suitable for a higher position within the pack.

it seemed kobotia move to protect the weak link by surrounding him with stronger peices would work, especially since she was considered the leader of this hunting party. due to the team using sneak to move and kobotia using observe she woould come across a kama mantis. the kama mantis was indeed be in a very unfavorable position, as at the moment it seemed to have its back turned toward the group, and without making much noise it be impossible for the mantis to notice them unless they planned to make the first move against the mantis.  kobotia's observation would notice that underneath the mantis body laid a pool of blood, whether or not they waited to see if the blood belonged to the mantis was up to them to find out.

hunting group alpha:

Kobotia would notice the prey up ahead and would raise her right hand to gesture for them to stop, she would then point with her other hand so that they could see what they would be hunting as it was something they hadn't encountered before. She would gesture for them to attack it from all sides, as they had a greater chance of success if they surrounded it while she would remain behind to observe it's movements if it managed to not be killed by her companions. As such while still moving sneakily Kobodirk and Kobosnek would pull out their Organic Barbs and approach from the left and right while Koboalpha would do the same albeit attempting to tackle it from behind to try and land a bite to it's neck. It was timed so that if the Kama Mantis noticed either of the other two it would fall prey to Koboalpha while the other two would be able to capitalize on the opening left by Koboalpha to stab the Kama Mantis in it's shoulders.

Spoiler:

the group seemed successful in its approach to surround the kama mantis, with both kobodirk and kobosnek charging at it from opposite sides, it would be up to koboalpha to effectively tackle the kama mantis to prevent any damage to the other two. The kama mantis had choose to swing its bladed arm at kobosnek assuming that kobodirk was probably easy prey, well the blade of the mantis would be slightly off from landing a perfect strike at kobosnek seeing that koboalpha would be able to effectively tackle the prey on his first try, while biting into the flesh of the kama mantis. The strike which was perfectly aimed at the chest of kobosnek would instead give him a small wound with light blood loss on the right side of his waist. All seemed lost for the mantis once koboalpha sunk its teeth into its neck, the mantis slowly fell to the floor life less.

"Good, you keep what you kill. Kobotia said before tilting her head to the side as she looked at the dead mantis after she got closer to them she saw that the arms could potentially be used for weapons but didn't seem to be all that useful as a food source. As a result she decided to try and Carve them off of the Sickle Mantis Corpse with one of her Organic Barbs as her hunting party could probably use them. If she was successful she would offer one to Koboalpha as he did the most work while gesturing for Kobodirk to take the other. "Kobosnek, you are injured, find something to cover your wound after cleansing it with your Lesser Water Spirit Stone. Anyways, now that you are bloodied Kobodirk you are now officially a Hunter. We will celebrate at home since we are not done yet. I want to keep hunting, we will use this Sickle Mantis as bait and see if we can hunt something bigger. she said looking at her comrade before nodding. "If we are going to be successful we have to have the jump on it. So conceal yourselves." she said wiping the organic barb she used to carve on the ground and then looking for a place to hide while she expected the rest of them to do the same

Upon observing the mantis, she would notice that the mantis eye bobbled out as if they still experienced the pain from the fangs of koboalpha. The mantis was going to be a good source of meat for whomever devoured it, yet that wasn't the part that grew the attention of the group, it was the fact she wanted them to go against something worse than their last opponent. At this time kobotia would begin to carve up the mantis she would make a mistake while trying to seperate the arm of the mantis from the body, she then went to the other side and corrected the mistakes she made; kobosnek would use the water stone to reveal a small wound underneath the blood, he would lick a leaf then place it on top of the wound. Kobotia's was set into action once the group hid went into hidding themselves from the the incoming sickle mantis, before long the smell of a feast for one would attract the sickle mantis to the food before he slowly started to eat the the kama mantis.

alpha hunting squad:

Kobotia saw the predator in all of its glory it clearly was the rank up of what they had killed previously and judging by her observe on the first one she could tell that it was rather capable of dismembering any of her pack. As such it fell to her to try and bring the thing down with their support to ensure it wasn't focusing exclusively on her. She would observe the area to locate her fellow Kobold and would try to relay basic instructions to them. She would attack first while Kobosnek because he was injured would stay hidden and look for a rock or something else throwable to attack the Sickle Mantis from afar. As for Koboalpha and Kobodirk, the former would attack after her and try and tackle it while Kobodirk would stab it.

If she was able to successfully relay the plan she would nod before sneaking up to it as her organic barb emerged from her tail. She would then attack it with her first strike aiming for its left eye to try and blind it while her second strike would be aimed for its should as she would try and carve its arm off finally the last strike coming from her tail would be aimed at its belly. As she attacked banking on the fact that most of its attention would be on her Koboalpha would tackle it from the right as if she was able to blind its left eye it would be forced to turn to look at her with its right. With the tackle he would jump on it and try to cling to its body by burying the newly claimed Kama Mantis arm's scythe like claw. Meanwhile hopefully with the pain from being attacked Kobodirk would have his opening to stab its other eye. If at anytime it seemed like it would strike anyone but Kobotia, that would be Kobosnek's window and if he was fortunate to find something to throw he would toss the projectile at the Sickle Mantis to throw off its aim.

Upon executing the plan kobotia put together nicely, each kobalt went into their respected places while the sickle mantis prepared to devour its free meal. kobatia's First two attack would land on the mantis eye and shoulder, which despite the attack didn't have much of an effect on it due to it thick skin, it still leaped backward to avoid taking anymore damage from that monster. it was blindsided by koboalpha who came and pushed it off balance by using their darned sneak skill, when koboalpha used the sickle on the mantis it was the final blow needed to be dealt. causing it to have little to no movement before laying lifelessly. kobotia's plan lead to the group finishing the sickle mantis, the other two kobolts would look at tai and alpha in shook before asking "Do you want us to carve it for youu?

Reward:

"Nah, we will take this home before we attract even bigger predators this is a good haul and shall strengthen the pack. This time Kobosnek you stay in the middle because you are injured, Kobodirk & Koboalpha carry the big bug together so you can move faster, Kobosnek carry the little bug. I'll remain unburdened in case I need to protect you three if we get ambushed, at the very least I can stall while you run back to our den." Kobotia commanded seeking to maintain the triangle formation in order to ensure they got back home without any difficulties. She was going to keep her eye out for trouble or if she noticed anything out of the ordinary and they would all have to be careful so they didn't alert any opportunists. "Be quiet but be quick, if we make it home in time then Koboalpha & I can make one last hunting trip together before the sun goes down." she was actually serious about that, as she was confident that the two of them could make another trip if they had enough time and didn't want to pressure Kobodirk to make another trip due to him being new, normally she would of brought Kobosnek with her but he was injured and it would be better for him to sleep and heal up his injuries at the den.

-some time later-

Kobotia and Koboalpha would return to the wild with the former deciding to head in a different direction than where they had headed previously so as to hopefully run into different prey all the while avoiding predators which would of been drawn to the bloodshed from earlier. As a result both of them would sneak with Kobotia in the lead using observe to see if she could find a trail or something. It was actually interesting going on a hunt with just the two of them, though it was somewhat intentional as she wanted to use this as an opportunity to get some extra levels in to keep her edge.

when kobotai and koboalpha arrived to their previous hunting spot, their was a monster of somewhat similarity sniffing the ground on all fours. he was obviously larger than the two kobolts however the hair from his body was darker than theirs with spot of dried blood ever so often on his back and legs, it was clear that he was a fighter. when the gnoll finally decided to stand up on it two hind legs it was even clearer to kobotia why this monster was alone as dirt and blood masked its face from licking the dirt.

The gnoll would look around to follow any other spot of blood lucky for it there was a trail of blood leading it to towards the cave, the downside to this is that he was heading directly towards both kobotai and koboalpha and if they didn't move quickly they would be face to face with a predator.
