Unit II Pits Challenge

Jazz had already registered them for a joint featherweight pits challenge at low rank knowing that she hadn't a hand in their development and didn't want to deal with the political fall out of any of them got killed. Once they became Pilus however then she would be able to instruct them properly rather than leave them to the devices of their current centurion who seemed less than interested in helping them out and more interested in playing choir boy with Vendetta. Still she would turn to them, all three of them had to be present for this as while she didn't have much hope for the oldest sibling in regards to combat and was already dealing with a replacement it was important for him to be here as well. "All three of you, head into those doors and try not to die." she said bluntly having waited long enough for them to get ready and this would offer her an opportunity to learn their ins and outs so that she could properly guide them to reach their true potential.

Ariel still wasn't sure what to make of this Jazz girl, just everything about her felt intimidating, not that she hadn't wanted to get to this point with her brothers too, but she wanted to make sure that they too were ready. She just wasn't very good at asking if they were before this. More so was her surprise that Azrael was pulled along, she knew his plans after all to separate from the other two siblings so she hadn't thought he would be there with them. With a sigh she just grabbed her brother's hands as she stood between them, "Let's do this then, taking a step together one last time before we follow our own paths. It doesn't mean I won't be there for you both though. Just that this is where we shall make our names known, right?" She let go of them, wanting to take point in eagerness. She flicked her wrist against the left tail of hair to throw it back over her shoulder, floating out in the arena and folding her legs beneath her for but a moment. With her saber in her hands, she closed her eyes, letting the scene around her fading away in to nothingness as she turned herself inwards, letting the Force pull her senses away from her and heightening them all at the same time. With a gulp she unfolded her legs as her brothers were entering. She felt her nerves heightening, she had to make sure she proved to her brothers too that she could hold her own.

Azazel was...somewhat ready for this. He felt that there was some other things that he could learn before this, but the leader of their Unit had pulled all three of them here for the pits, so he had little choice but to answer the call. He had spent no time at all with any of his supposed superiors, so he was more than a little skeptical of Jazz. He couldn't speak to her competence, and her seeming disinterest in speaking to him on the matter of their actual training made it look as though she didn't even care about whether or not they were truly ready. But that was something to talk about after they went through the pits, but for now he needed to focus on getting through this. He was surprised Azazel had shown up, to be completely honest, but he assumed Jazz could be very persuasive. He looked down at Ariel's hand and then to her "Ariel there is such a thing as personal space. Refrain from touching me without my permission, or you will find yourself on the wrong side of a plasma arrow." He snatched his hand away lightly and folded them over his lap "Azrael, I am shocked that you're here. Try not to drag us down or get yourself killed. Let's do this." He floated forward into the arena and put his two sabers together, preparing to form his bow when it was needed. He was preparing any number of Force techniques to use during the fights to give himself an edge. Sensory, inhibiting moves, the works. He would weaken foes and then pick them off like flies. He would need to work with his siblings, keep them safe. After all, it wouldn't be fun to fight for the position of clan head with corpses.

Azrael would groan as he was dragged from his bedroom from the compound rather unceremoniously by his sibling, apparently the triplets were being forced to take on their pits challenge by their new Unit leader Jazz Kukinorite. The eldest of the siblings was upset with himself for not informing their leaders of his soon to be departure from military service, figuring that he would have enough time to learn what he needed before leaving, but guess they had other plans. Just as they arrived at the pits, and were given their instructions about what was to happen, the eldest couldn't put his finger on it, but the name and appearence of their unit leader seemed oddly familiar. It was after they were dismissed that his siblings started to speak while moving towards the entrance, his sister he could tell was still feeling guilty over what happened during their saber trials, his brother however seemed to be his usual douchey Self. Guess some things would never change. He would remain silent when they spoke to him, choosing to sever his connection from his siblings already. Little did they know that if he was to participate, that would doing very little to help them, but more or less helping out their opponents.

As all three siblings entered the pits Jazz would move over to the stands to watch, or at least another Jazz would while the original remained in her current location just in case. They would find themselves also against three opponents namely two humans and one zireh all of whom looked like they had never fought alongside each other before. Either way they would split up deciding to try and fight the siblings one on one. Two of them would rush forward heading towards Ariel and Azrael while the last would throw three kunai each moving at swift release speeds at Azazel.

Ariel took a deep breath, facing down three opponents to their two and a non-combatant. She knew Azrael might defend himself, but he still seemed rather pissed at them both. Looking the three other she crouched in to a prepared position. Immediately she could only tell one thing about them; that one of them was a Zireh. The skin gave it away. But there was nothing more, and she was aware enough that some Zireh could avoid physical touches. She knew Azazel could go for them, but there was their own step of surprise wherein Ariel's saber could hit those intangible. "Just... have each other's back." she looked between her brothers, an unusual look of focus on the youngest sibling's face. "They're not together. We're... having problems. But we're the triplets. So can we put this behind us, so I can trust you two to have my back? Because you know I have yours until the end of time," With that she sprung forwards with her B-ranked speed, purple bladed saber igniting as she went right for the Zireh. With a smirk as she raced forwards, stopping 8 feet away from the Zireh to keep some range, swinging her saber with her whilst letting the Force guide it forwards out of her hand, switching up to her 10 feet hands free wielding ability of her saber, aiming to strike directly at the Zireh's torso before returning to her hand.

Azazel activated his Saber and channeled his midi-chlorians into it, bending the blades into the shape of two bow wings, while also forming a string connecting them. There was a quiver of arrows on his back and he pulled one and knocked it. Thanks to one opponent standing back and not engaging, he was capable of focusing on them and not the others his siblings were facing, granting him a boost thanks to his saber form. If he needed the Force to sense his opponent's attacks, he would be able to use it, but for now he was alright. He floated out of the way of the kunai at C-Rank+ Speeds before launching an arrow his opponent's chest at Bullet Release Speeds, aiming to pierce through their chest with equivalent force. In case the opponent attempted to evade the attack through means such as becoming intangible, the arrow would deal Hybrid Damage instead of pure Physical, allowing it a better range of damage "Oh no, don't look to me to save either of your asses if you get into trouble." He pulled another arrow from his quiver and knocked it in preparation for launching, in case his arrow hadn't hit his mark or something else had gotten in the way of his attack.

Azrael would ignore his siblings final words of encouragement and would instead observe their three would-be attackers movement's, choosing to keep his mind on the task ahead of him. One of the opponents decided to hang back from the initial confrontation in an attempt to strike a Azazel from a distance, while the remaining two would go for both himself and Ariel. With Ariel running off to face her opponent head on, and Zel making a rather impressive bow out of his dual sabers and taking shot at his target, leaving the eldest triplet hovering above the ground, waiting for his target to get closer. His staff in hand, blade still not ignited as he was waiting for the right moment to show it off, his eyes scanning his target's body as they ran towards Azrael, looking for an opening to appear, which would show itself to him sooner than expected. So as his opponent would get closer (less than 10 feet), Azrael would channel his chakra into his staff while tipping it downwards slightly. He did this to cause his weapon to extend to it’s full length, aimed to extend fully between their legs as they ran, hoping this would cause his opponent to trip. If not then the eldest triplet would simply kick at the extended staff to cause it to shoot upwards into his opponent’s groin, maybe that would slow them down.

Jazz was watching attempting to get a feel for her potential students, if they managed to survive until the end it wasn't that she didn't have confidence in them just that their actions were rather sloppy. For one, they didn't even bother trying to utilize shinobi speed which was why when Azrael attempted to trip his opponent the girl would jump out of the way while moving at D-rank speeds and try and close the distance between herself and him. She would actually attempt to punch him, though if Azrael attempted to take the blow head on he would note that it was quite strong as it was backed by D-rank strength. On the other hand Azazel would shoot an arrow at his opponent who would manage to barely dodge out of the way before pulling out shuriken this time and then throwing them back at Azazel this time with actual technique backing them. Finally Ariel was the only one who was able to successfully dispatch her opponent even though it was a wasteful action seeing as she could of kept her ability to manipulate her saber without touching it a secret instead of showing it off right away. "How ironic, they require death matches to rank up and yet they still fight like naive children. Meanwhile the exams for shinobi do not require bloodshed until at least B-rank and yet all examples of their fights were always cut-throat." Jazz thought to herself with a frown as perhaps the Shogunate had experienced too much peace to truly create strong soldiers. Still maybe it was just their youth, not that such a thing was an excuse seeing as not only was she younger than them she was far stronger than they were at their current age. Either way with one opponent down, the door would open and another opponent would enter though he wouldn't join the battle initially instead choosing to make hand seals and promptly sink into the ground.

Ariel brought her saber back to her hand, maintaining in a battle position as she watched the new enemy taking to the stage and subsequently vanishing from it. As such she felt she should watch out, but that she couldn't do anything to this new person just yet, but someone else could. "Zellie, Azie, new combatant, a stealth attacker underground," she called to her brother, if feeling a little irate that Azrael didn't seem to be moving too much. Though she hadn't paid attention to their recent trainings, putting it down to something she was less aware of. If not, she could yell at him later. Keeping her speed up, she moved towards the girl Azrael attempted to trip, and lifted her hand. "Zellie, comin' your way!" She called out and released her Force Push at the girl before she was out of the air and harder to dodge, hoping to leave her prone for an arrow.

Azazel was always glad for his clan's ability of natural flight. He boosted up three feet in the air at C-Rank+ Speeds, flipping over the thrown projectile before taking aim with another arrow, launching it once more at Bullet Release Speeds, with equivalent Hybrid Piercing. On Ariel's words he turned and launched another arrow at the same speeds, dealing the same amount of damage but having the added disadvantage of requiring a mid-air movement technique to dodge, due to Ariel's own attack. Azazel floated in the air, taking another arrow and knocking it and preparing to let another arrow loose in case he needed to "I would've thought you could see that I am busy with my own opponent, Ariel. Unless you're blind as well as daft. Handle your own mess!" He ground out the words loud enough for his siblings to hear. He was busy trying to make sure he didn't die, and with his bow technique active he didn't have enough at his disposal to help his siblings. They would need to do without for a time.

A sigh would escape the eldest Chromatica triplet’s mouth as his target had dodged his attempt at tripping them, he wasn't surprised at his target's evasion of his sloppy attack as he really wasn't in this fight mentally. No; his mind was more or less focused what his life was going to be like after he made his official withdrawal from military service, let the fools throw their lives away in senselessly, to continue to turn the wheels of oppression. His eyes followed his target as his younger sister seemed to manipulate the force into moving them into Azazel’s line of fire, shrugging as their teamwork seemed to be on point between them. That would leave Azazel’s target, and the new opponent left to contend with. The former seemed to prefer ranged combat like his brother, and with an arrow heading towards them, would appear that most likely hit its mark. While this new opponent seemed to be somewhat proficient with stealth based tactics, not much he could do about that one at the moment. So with a blank stare on his face, Azrael would fly towards the ranged opponent at B+ Speed in hope to reach them before his brother's plasma arrow. If successful in his dash, the eldest triplet would slam the end of his staff into the ground next to his target in order to anchor his position, all before swinging his body around the staff so his feet would collide Azazel’s initial target. If performed properly, this would allow him to not only hasten their collision with the arrow, but also possibly sent them on a collision course with his own original target.

It would seem there was trouble in paradise as by reading the fight it was obvious that Azrael truly did not wish to be here, which led Jazz to conclude that he might just forfiet at some point now it was all a matter of when he would do this, she didn't necessarily mind as regardless she would still do what their parents had asked and commence a three-way battle between them. Even more she could always have Roxas join Unit II seeing as she didn't have a place for him in the Shogunate and it would allow her to keep a closer eye on him so he didn't develop how his clone did. Either way her attention would refocus on the match realizing that two more opponents were down as Azazel's second arrow would hit the mark of it's opponent after they were suddenly swept off their feet by an invisible attack from Ariel whereas the other would kicked from behind due to being too slow to avoid Azrael's heel kick and likewise be struck by the arrow originally meant for him. Both of the targets would have a hole in their chests from the arrows entering them and they would end up colliding together with their bodies dropping to the ground. The door would open once more and two more opponents would enter siblings by the look of it, immediately as they entered the younger sibling would begin to run along the wall of the arena tossing Soul Spheres which would be hurtled at C-rank speeds at both Azrael & Azazel meanwhile the older sibling would rush forward obviously heading toward Ariel while moving at C-rank speeds as well. However as he did so the Bakuhatsu from earlier would burst out of the ground under Ariel and attempt to grab her by the ankles and drag her into the ground thus making her a much easier target for the Soulless to deal with.

Ariel cursed as the hands shot up and grabbed at her ankles, even if it did fill her with a little bit of glee that she was being targetted by two of the opponents together. But, this was where she had the benefit again. As she couldn't exactly stop the grab, she could do one better. Letting her hand drop from her saber's hilt she guided the blade to slice in the space beneath her levitating form, or more specifically, to cut through the hands that where grabbing her. And with them taken care of, she shot herself towards her other attacker, the older of the new sibling opponents, at B+ speeds, letting her speed carry her towards. With the saber back in hand she swung at the Soulless aiming to hit her physically with something, throwing her hand and the saber forwards with it's hands free ability continuing at the B+ speed to drive the plasma blade right through their chest.

Azazel saw the orbs coming his way and shook his head, drawing his midi-chlorians back into his body and returning his saber to it's original shape. He separated the two sabers and used them to cleave through the orbs as he moved towards his opponent at C-Rank+ Speeds, wanting to end this quickly. The chakra that was being drained from his body for the output of the Sabers themselves was enough to match the damage of the spheres, allowing him to cut through them with ease, making a potent defense for himself against the many pronged assault. Once he was within range of his opponent, he would increase the output for a fraction of a second to increase the reach of his sabers as well as their damage, striking out with the invisible black saber in his off hand at the girl's mid-section to cleave her in twain.

Azrael watched as the opponent he had kicked before had been struck by his brother's arrow, leaving the poor kid dead with a hole in his chest, terrible way to go if you asked him. This was another reason why he was going to step away from military service, he never really had the desire to needlessly end another person's life for the approval of others. It was after this that two more contenders had decided to enter the fight, only really noticing their arrival by seeing Azazel convert his plasma bow back into not one, but two plasma sabers, with one looking as though it was not ignited at all; then his brother would fly in his direction, but his aim was aimed elsewhere. Then out of the corner of his eye, Azrael would shift his attention to his sister utilizing her Saber without actually holding it in an attempt to dismember the underground enemy. With all this happening in front of him meant only one thing, his positioning from the heel kick put him at a disadvantage by facing away from the new people joining the fight. Spinning to his his right, the eldest triplet would see the would be attack going after his sister, however he would also begin to see the barrage of chakra spheres heading in his direction. With little to no time to think, Azrael would begin his retaliation by moving around the barrage of chakra towards his attacker at his B rank speeds through the air. With his staff in hand, he would grasp it firmly with both hand before swinging it with equal speeds at the sibling firing at him and his brother, aiming for their neck to cause some damage.

JAzz would watch as her potential students began to show that they could indeed work together if need be as it was paramount to their survival in this place, for instance even though the girl had revealed her ace in the hole early she had demonstrated good enough control with that special feature of her saber that she could comfortably use it in combat. Seeing as she had managed to kill not just one of her attackers but both, furthermore her older brother was capable of utilizing his sabers normally and displaced proficiency at using them in combat which served to allow him to close the distance with the last opponent standing and even though that one did manage to try and put some extra distance between them she would still end up struck by his off-hand saber. Meanwhile the doors would open yet again and three more opponents would arrive, one of them was a Faunus while the other was a Dire Wolf and the last member of this group was a Human who was actually currently being attacked by the oldest triplet.

He would be hit by Azrael's staff and end up collapsing onto the ground while his partners would dash away at C-rank speeds in order to deal with the other two Chromatica in a two on two battle type of thing. Unfortunately for Azrael his opponent had merely collapsed to make her next attack easier as the physical strike hadn't done anything to her and she would proceed to wrap around his body as her limbs extended at C-rank speeds.

Ariel gave a sigh of relief at taking down the duo of opponents, feeling that last trio was specifically set to test their team work with how well the three could work together. She looked to her brothers with a smile, feeling proud of themselves for getting through this so well so far. Seeing Azrael fighting a person she would refer to in her mind as 'jelly fish person', she would give him time to deal with it himself if he could before giving a helping hand. She set her eyes on the Faunus as her target, drawing her saber back in to her hand, and flying forwards with B+ speed, swinging to strike them down as fast as the others.

Azazel was enjoying the mindless violence, truthfully. He didn't have to think about how annoying his siblings were when he was fighting, nor did he have to think about the next step he would need to take to become Sith. All he needed to do was attack and kill, which was more than easy. He wanted to preserve his arrows a bit more, so he decided to take a few enemies out with just his sabers for the moment. He moved forwards at C-Rank+ Speeds towards the Direwolf, aiming to cleave the creature's head from its shoulders.

Azrael would groan as the Yaju would start to wrap themselves around his body, applying pressure on his spine in hopes to do some permanent damage to his body. It was true that he was unable to move his body, but that didn't mean he could not fly around the battlefield. So he would begin to do just that, flying towards one of the other two new targets headed towards his younger brother at B rank speeds. If the one holding onto him still had a grasp on Azrael, he would shift his body around so that their body would collide with his new target, he did this in hopes the two would collide as he flew past the collision.

Just as the siblings rushed their opponents so would their opponents rush them however as the Faunus and her Dire Wolf ran they would then suddenly begin to rotate before spinning into Tsuga each of them hurtling forward at B-rank speeds, As for Azrael's opponent they would be along for the ride though when he tried to crash them into their ally the pressure would increase to try and deter him from doing so, meanwhile the one closest to them aka the Dire Wolf's Tsuga would continue to head towards them. Either way their were multiple outcomes from such a clash though in most of them it would result in one or more people getting struck by the Hokkai and being hurt as a result. Sure they moved fast but it didn't mean their impacts weren't powerful, not that any of the other fighters would know that until they were struck by them at least.

Ariel exhaled as she calmed herself, gripping her saber hilt tightly in her reverse grip. She was watching the situation carefully, not needing to look to know that Azazel would know exactly how to react. It was Azrael who still seemed to be held up she worried a little over. But sometimes the simplest was the best. She watched and with a spin off her hips she rotated to the side with B speed, using the momentum to bring her saber around with her, making use of her styles need for reaction tiers to even find it coming as she brought the saber to meet the spinning individual coming at her.

Azazel had an idea, but he was sure this would sting due to his lack of a proper defense upon his person. He held his sabers out in front of his body, both activated and pointing towards the Direwolf coming at him. If the creature slammed into him head on, it would be impaled doubly by his weapons and kill itself in the process. If the impalement stopped the creature's rotation as it died, Zel may come out of the clash unscathed. If it didn't....It would hurt like a bitch.

Okay well it would seem that trying to knock this person off wasn't going to happen, as the Yaju was just determined in applying pressure on his spine to try and stop him from moving around, and staying wrapped around his body. He knew that he wasn't going to be finishing these fights in order to pursue other ventures, but he hadn't planned on being forced to give up by not being capable enough to be rid of his opponent. Could he let himself be taken out in such a way, at this point he really did not care whether or not his clan or siblings approved of his choices, but he wanted to go out on his own terms. So after taking a deep breath to try and clear his mind, to allow the force to flow through him without hindrance. So without much hesitation he would cause the part of the staff he was holding to extend out backwards while igniting the green blade from his Plasma Saber, in hopes to have the blade make contact with his opponent's body, unsure of exactly what all of the person was wrapped on his back.

Jazz had been slightly annoyed at her prospective students as they had let their opponents shift the battle in their favor however they regained some of her approval as they successfully changed the tides once more. More so she was interested in Ariel as she seemed to be the most physically dominant out of the three seeing as she was able to not only avoid the charging Hokkai but have enough skill to capitalize on the opening left by her opponent's technique. Sure Jazz had some modicum of respect for those within the Hokkai Clan as they were quite powerful especially in regards to blitz fighting and their ability to shrug off damage was top notch, but she always regarded their primary methods of attack as reckless. This was proven as not only did Ariel manage to slay her opponent by using her Saber so did Azazel though he nearly came close to having his face mauled in the process if the Dire Wolf hadn't been cut apart by it's own rotation with the introduction of the chromatica's twin Plasma Saber. As for Azrael he managed to get out of his predicament by pure luck as his opponent's chest was hugging his back and as a result when his Plasma Saber ignited it likewise snuffed out the life of the Yaju clinging to him. Either way both brothers would end up with their now deceased opponents bodies on top of them, and the doors would open once more and three individuals would enter. Two of them were wearing karate gi's and the third would immediately start going through hand seals even as the doorway closed once more, her allies would take up their fighting stances.
