Zane stepped through the portal in the Black Dome, instantly arriving among a sea of cheering crowds and numerous pit-like arenas dotting the area with combatants fighting to the death. It was a bloody sport, but one that he most certainly looked forward to. The though occurred to Zane, that to make himself better known in the bingo books and surrounding areas in general, he'd have to start taking down some higher rank shinobi. Well, instead of hunting down individuals, why not just enter the pits and knock them down one by one. C-rank shinobi would literally be handed to him for the slaughter, it was common sense to simply challenge the pits once more and reap the winnings.

Zane approached the front desk and smiled politely to the woman behind it, High there, Zane Shinto here to challenge the Featherweight level again. I completed the first set so I'd like to challenge the second set on medium difficulty...I believe that means genin for challengers? Thank you. Zane said with yet another kind smile, waiting for instructions. Meanwhile Paul was boiling inside, ready to be unleashed and rip the spinal chords out of these pathetic genins' backs. He'd floss with their ligaments and jump rope with their intestines.

The woman at the desk would nod before a door opened leading to the arena, if Zane chose to enter then he would be awaited by someone already in the arena a hulking brute of a man who seemed far to old to be genin in skill level despite actually being so. He was a genin who never passed the chunin exams having failed twice before deciding never to take it a third time in order to avoid living with the failure of never being able to get promoted because he was incapable of leading others. He would stare at Zane before roaring no doubt an odd form of intimidation and what not his muscles bulging a bit a savage grin appearing on his face. He would wait for the doors to close however before he sprung into action as such was the "rules" of the pits.

As Zane stepped onto the all too familiar floor of the pit arena, he'd look around at the gathered people. Most of them seemed bored or passed out drunk in the bleachers. The crowd was sparse and barely alive, which unfortunately was to be expected for a featherweight fight. Not much money, not many explosions, nothing all that interesting if truth be told. Thus, not many fans. Zane rolled his head around, letting each individual vertabrae crack as his opponent let loose a fearsome roar from the other side of the arena. Zane raised an eyebrow in questioning surprise but remained where he was as the doors to the pits closed behind the respective challengers. Deep in the back of his mind, even the pit of his gut, Zane could feel Paul itching to answer this other boy's feral challenge with a war cry of his own, but Zane remained in control. He'd let Paul loose to have his fun, but it was best to keep his hand close for now. No need to reveal all of his tricks at once. So, instead of charging forward like most would in a pits fight, to end it quick, Zane took up a defensive stance where he had entered and waited for his challenger to make the first move.

The guy would rush forward at bullet release speed using the lightning flash blade creation technique to draw four shuriken to each hand before whipping his palms forward causing them to fly at crashing ground speeds sending four targets heading straight towards Cyrus. Heh heh bet he didn't see that coming at all now all he needs to do is die quickly and I can move on to the next round. the guy said honestly though he was all speed and no technique, just barely what one would consider genin standard if anything he was more so a strong academy student well strong when one wasn't a prodigy like the likes of Cyrus, Roxas and the others who currently ran the world today.

The shuriken moved through the air, spinning and slicing their way towards Zane who did nothing as they struck his mechanical body and bounced off uselessly. The shuriken would clatter to the ground at Zane's feet, each one harmlessly resounding off his body as his opponent charged towards him. Hmm okay, now it's my turn. Zane said before taking off at Swift Release speeds charging directly for his opponent to meet with a head on collision. Zane would raise his right fist ready to punch the kid square in the face with C-rank strength and hopefully break a few of the bones in the guy's face. This would leave him stunned for at least long enough for Zane to get in another hit. However, a simple punch was too straightforward and savage. This was Zane not Paul, and Zane was slightly smarter than the average bear.

First of all Zane was moving slower than the other boy so the guy would be able to see Zane's straightforward punch attack coming from a mile away and would be ready to intercept it. So, instead of trying to make the punch land, Zane would throw his punch just inches before making contact with the guy so it would appear as though he was going for the punch but really would whiff entirely and hit the air in front of the boy. He would continue the punch, using the momentum to jump off with his left leg and spin into the air, bringing his right leg down hard on the boy's head, attempting to smash his face into the ground of the pits and get him on the floor. That was probably going to hurt.

The guy would move out of the way at bullet release speeds leaning back mainly so he could take advantage of Zane's miss well at least he would of if that had been the only assault as the ax-kick from above would cause the guy to crumple to the floor breaking his nose and causing blood to gush out. The boy's skull likewise was fractured from the impact but miraculously he would get up holding his nose with his hand but not wanting to be dropped by just one hit. He would rush forward attempting to swing a haymaker at Zane's face his head pounding and aching but he would move at his fastest speed possible, namely crashing ground speeds. The punch wasn't backed by anything clearly he thought Zane not being hurt by his shuriken was a fluke or maybe he was just hit to hard on his head that common sense fled from his brain.

The boy would blur, his speed suddenly upping to an even higher degree that Zane simply couldn't react to. Luckily for Zane he didn't have to react as the boy's fist connected solidly with Zane's face. Zane didn't even cringe or constrict the muscles in his face, he didn't so much as blink as the fist connected with his face. Instead the other boy would see Zane smiling beneath his fist, yeah, smiling. How fucked up is that? You're fast, I'll give you that. Zane said as he lunged forward with his body weight, attempting to knock the other boy over and onto the ground. If he succeeded he would take both hands and attempt to crush the boy's wind pipe between his hands with C-rank strength, But speed isn't everything. Zane finished as he attempted to squeeze the life out of his competitor. From the back of his mind he could hear Paul, Yes, that's it, watch the life go out of his eyes. Listen as he takes his last breaths, watch his eyes go dark. His second personality said with a sadistic yet childish glee. Zane pushed Paul away, but as the fights continued it would become more and more difficult to maintain control.

The boy would get knocked over his hands rapidly moving despite him being under Zane and he would attempt a flurry of punches trying to get Zane off of him but it was to no avail and his wind pipe would get crushed only for him to end up dying from a combination of blood loss & suffocation. More specifically choking on his own blood, nonetheless he was dead and out would walk another opponent who would make hand seals before exhaling out a mist which would cover the area. If Zane had looked up he would see that the opponent had a large sword on their back but the rest of their body was all covered up. Regardless maybe this fight would be more interesting for someone like him. The individual wouldn't waste anytime as the greatsword would come slicing horizontally at crashing ground speeds at Zane's unprotected back the moment the user disappeared into the mist.

The boy had died but Zane was still holding onto his throat as he fought off Paul's attempt to take over. It was still too soon, he needed more time, he had to stay in control before letting the beast run wild. As he looked down at the boy's lifeless body, his dark eyes staring up at nothing and slowly released his grip on his throat. Zane stood up straight, noticing the thin, but ever increasing, level of mist in the air and frowned. It would seem his next opponent wasn't taking any time in setting up for the fight. This mist was going to be a nuisance. Not particularly a problem, nothing worrisome, just a pain in the ass to fight in. Zane closed his eyes and focused for a moment, using his ronin innate ability to copy down his new opponent's fighting style and adapt to it. Unfortunately, Zane didn't have time to adapt to the speed at which his new opponent was moving and took the slash to his back dead on. Fortunately, Zane was built to last and the slash did little more than slide along his back and send a little tickle up his spine. The force of the blow was enough to send him forward a couple feet, which Zane attempted to control by leaning forward into a roll and popping up on his feet about five feet away from where he was standing before, ready for the next attack. By mimicking the man's fighting styles, he and Zane were at a bit of stalemate for the time being. Neither could see or hear each other, unless the opponent possessed a chakra sensing technique of some kind. Zane stood his ground patiently and waited, but beneath his skin his neo-nanos were moving about furiously, hiding just beneath the thinnest layer of skin and ready to be called upon when needed.

The opponent noticed that Zane tried to copy hm unfortunately for Zane he was within his Hidden Mist technique as a result the only other chakra signature besides his own was Zane's, something that the opponent could easily detect. But regardless they would make hand seals before expelling a large quantity of water within the field the rushing water shooting for where Zane was currently standing at crashing ground speeds. If it did sweep Zane off his feet he would find himself assaulted by numerous rain drops which would mess with Zane's chakra draining it, if he wanted to play the stall game he would find himself being drained of his chakra and promptly die from chakra loss. That was this opponents

Zane might not have been able to see much in the thick mist that covered the arena floor, but he could still hear and hundreds of gallons of water suddenly materializing and rushing forth wasn't exactly silent. As the water neared Zane began to allow his darker side to take over, without fully giving into Paul he let loose his berserker state long enough to explode away from the ground at B-rank speeds and towards the far wall of the pit. At this distance the water would barely even come up to the front of his toes and he was moving at just the right speed to maintain a fair distance away from the crashing waves. Zane had also unknowingly avoided the chakra draining rain. Of course it was still possible that he could accidentally wander back into the rain clouds at some point until the technique ended. With his back to the wall his opponent could only come from three directions and Zane couldn't be struck in the back again. Zane readied himself, as did his neo-nanos. As soon as he felt something move, he'd be ready to counter attack. He was done playing this ridiculous game of cat and mouse in the mist and the longer he stayed in berserker mode the sooner Paul would completely take over.

Zane's opponent was using the Exploding Water Colliding Wave as a means to move themselves closer to Zane's location as a result when his target suddenly dashed off the noise would deafen the opponent a feminine cry of pain emerging from the otherwise formerly silent opponent as the noise caused her to lose her hearing. She wouldn't let up however and once she regained her bearings she would dash towards Zane before jumping so that she could swing her weapon downward right on top of her opponent finding him through his chakra signature alone. Sure he might have her own skilled in terms of silent killing but she doubted he was her equal in using it to her advantage.

Zane would hear the girl's anguish cry from within the mist. He couldn't be sure of her exact location thanks to the thick fog all around him, but it sounded relatively close to the area he had just left. An eerily silent moment passed as Zane waited for the girl's next attack to come. When it did, he caught the blade on his left shoulder but instead of biting into his flesh, it simply bounced against it, sliding along his skin with a slight grinding sound. Without a word Zane's arms flashed out, attempting to grab the girl's sword-bearing wrist. His right arm would reach for her thigh, attempting to hold the girl in place as he yanked with his left wrist on her own arm. Zane wasn't entirely sure what would happen, but with B-rank strength he was fairly certain the girl's arm would either break or be torn off entirely. Regardless he was fairly certain he could at least get the girl to drop her weapon and render her arm useless. When Zane grabbed the girl, the Neo-Nanos that had been patiently waiting just beneath his skin began to eat away at the girl's cells. It would be a long, slow, and painful way to go, but that didn't bother Zane much. This girl had been quite annoying and he was very tired of her.

Her blade would bounce off of his flesh not penetrating it at all and she would be thrown off by the recoil effect from her blade not simply slicing through. This would throw her off long enough for her to be assaulted by Zane's counter-attack with him grabbing and holding her in place before tearing her arm off blood gushing out of the wound with the pain itself causing her to black out. The mist would clear as a result of her no longer being concious to maintain it and she would die long before the neo nano's would finish her off simply due to blood loss. The gate would open once more revealing a guy with a mask covering the lower half of his face and his slashed forehead protector having two trails behind it being placed on his neck so it looked as if he was wearing a scarf.

So you've been taking out people left and right have you. Well your streak ends now. The boy said with a cocky grin before bluring through hand seals and stopping only to pull out multiple shuriken which he threw forward at crashing ground speeds. He would then exhale resulting in the shuriken being set ablaze each of them racing towards Zane's body. There would be five shuriken each of them rushing forward the boy being confident in his assault he had seen that Zane was rather tanky but so far his fellow challengers had made the mistake of using physical force to combat him. Luckily he was well versed in both chakra based techniques and physical.

Unfortunately Paul would miss the cocky smile, considering the boy was in fact wearing a mask. Zane was still holding the arm of his previous opponent, the massive sword still clutched by the torn off arm. Apparently the muscles had spasmed and locked when Paul ripped off her arm. This made for quite an interesting look, especially considering the blood that had spilled on him from his previous opponents. Not only that but the girl's body had fallen against Paul when she died of blood loss and was now leaning against his chest, still bleeding down the front of his clothes. If the entire arena hadn't seen Paul mercilessly kill her, then it would almost look cute. As if she was trying to hug Paul, aww how cute. When the new contender entered, Paul turned to look at him, the girl's dismembered arm in one hand, and with his other he gripped her body by the hair. Paul held her up to display to the boy exactly what he was going to do to him, Come on then, join her in- Paul was cut short as five flaming shuriken impacted the girl's body and immediately ignited it. He threw the body to the side, letting it burn in the sands of the pit. That had been...unexpected.

Paul smiled ruthlessly before taking the sword out of the hand of the dismembered arm. In his left hand he held the massive sword while in his right hand he held the still bloody stump of the girl's arm. Without another word Paul exploded forward at B-rank speeds towards this new contender. As he neared him, moving at crashing ground speeds, Paul would spin to the right, swinging the arm to back hand the boy in the face while he would bring his left hand around with the large sword in an attempt to cut the masked boy completely in half.

The guy would lean backward avoiding the backhand with the other persons limb before sinking to the ground to promptly avoid the second slash all of this occurring at B-rank speeds. The boy would do a hand spring to vault himself upward while bringing his hands forward and blurring through hand seals while stumbling backward in order to exhale a Fire Release: Flame Bullet. It was done on purpose however as he would prevent himself from falling completely by using chakra to anchor his feet to the ground and then dart to the side away from the eventual explosion from his fire technique. "I'm not some scrub it's gonna take a lot more to bring me down fool." the guy said with the same cocky smirk on his face.

He knew his opponent was really quick and seemed to favor close combat thus he was going to prey on that and keep him at a distance as long as he could, he couldn't possibly just outlast all of his attacks after all and sure enough the flames would get to him and he'd burn up. Sure he was a savage person who had slaughtered everyone else he fought against but brain beats brawn and if he wasn't bragging he'd say he was much more intelligent than this guy.

Paul would watch the flame bullet speed towards him and open his arms as if accepting the incoming attack like an old friend. The bullet would explode on his chest, engulfing his body in flames and the area around him. For a moment it was eerily silent, with only the crackling of flames filling the arena air. The crowd sat silently waiting, with Paul/Zane's opponent having moved to a safe distance away from the fiery attack. Could that be it? Was Zane down for the count? Nope, he was just on fire. From the flames a savage roar could be heard before the fire seemed to part and the sword Zane had picked up earlier came spinning forward at B-rank speeds, blade over handle. The sword was aimed at the boy's chest, but due to the rotation if he tried to drop to the ground again, he'd still be severed in two. Once the sword got close enough, Paul would follow through the fire, his body alight like a demon out of hell. Using his physical mimic skill he would match his opponent's movement perfectly and attempt to deliver a vicious right hook to his face, ending this battle in a single shot. Oh did I mention his fist was on fire? Thanks for that mister ninjutsu guy.

Well okay to be honest he hadn't expected his fire technique to not even affect the guy however the flaming sword was an eye dodge by stepping to the side, the flaming fist that came after it tailored to his movements not so much. His head would be pulped and the stone slabs would open once more as his body dropped to the ground revealing a girl who would walk twitching a bit before pausing as the slab shut. She would look up and stare are Zane her mouth spreading into a wide savage grin as the marking on her cheek glowed brightly. The symbol was iconic as only one clan had such a mark and everyone who had encountered one of that clan knew that when that mark glowed it was an extremely bad sign to any of those around them. Especially a Mikaboshi, fortunately Zane wasn't a Mikaboshi but it didn't mean it wasn't a bad thing being trapped in the Pits with a Bishamon on her Switch.
