| Wolf was within the sphere of wires alongside Rika her eyes widened simply due to the destructive capacity of her friend, she didn't realize that Rika was so strong which definitely gave her more cause to obey her orders since King wasn't here. She still couldn't hear however now seeing as she had a small respite in the form of a dense sphere of wires she could take time to heal herself both of her palms going up to her ears as she used Mystical Palm to restore her hearing back to normal. She would move to do the same to Rika if she allowed her to and once that was done she would tense up as she heard the tell tale revolution of a Tsuga. Once again annoyed that she would end her gated mode so as to conserve her stamina since she couldn't just exit the sphere on her own right now she'd leave her protection up to Rika since she seemed adamant on not letting her out of her sight. Wolf was grateful though the only person who perpetually looked after her in battle was Wolf and her fellow Hokkai members.. well the latter not anymore since they were being attacked by her own pack. |

| Rika would allow Wolf to heal her with mystical palm, during which time she would send out the echolocation of nuibari's wires, now condensed in a sphere around them, to feel what was going on outside. She felt the Tsuga coming and reacted quickly, swinging Kitsune towards it at SS-rank speeds. Of course the ivory blade was still semi-tangible and went right through the protective sphere without damaging it, and would cut right through the clone before it could damage the sphere. Rika felt the water coming down from above and stayed within the sphere with Wolf until it had past. The sphere would be drenched, but being inside it Rika and Wolf would be safe from it for the time being. Rika couldn't fight her opponents from within the sphere, she knew that. "There is two out there, I can handle the Hydra if you can take the other guy, is that ok?" she asked Wolf. Rika would wait for confirmation before allowing the sphere to drop. Ira and Invidia would make it over to Rika as she faced down the massive Hydra. Rika would dash off straight towards the Hydra at SS-rank speeds, throwing Nuibari before doing so. She aimed to strike the Hydra with Kitsune across it's throat just before Nuibari would hit, that way if he tried to dodge Nuibari she would be able to adjust her trajectory at the last second almost ensuring that Kitsune would make contact. At the same time Invidia went towards the left side of the Hydra at S-rank speeds, releasing some of her basic smokescreen pellets to mask her movement. She would extend her tongue towards the Hydra at S-rank speeds from within the smokescreen attempting to make contact with his left shoulder and turn it into a bomb and detonating it instantly, attempting to make his own shoulder deadly to him. Ira in the meantime would stay put, prepared to defend Wolf if need be. - Spoiler:

SSS-rank weapon, and Dead Mode Mind and body makes it deal SSS-rank mental damage. So SSS-rankt mental + However much physical. I wanna say it would be SSS-rank Mental + SSS-rank physical but that seems overkill. Definitely enough to kill the clone either way.
Same damage as above if Kitsune connects with Hydra. Nuibari SS-rank piercing, and draws out SSS-rank natural energy. S-rank explosion damage from Invidia.

| Katie wouldn't answer him especially since when she tried to spray him he would move out of the way just like she expected as he came up behind her she would sink into the ground with a Hiding like a Mole technique avoiding the bear hug only for her to pop back up from the ground about ten feet away exhaling spheres of air and following up with unsealing and throwing a single kunai at him, which multiplied drastically each one moving through the air at Blinding Light speeds backed by B-rank strength. She would turn once more using her spraying watching his movements so that if he dodged the kunai she would be able to anticipate where he would end up and thus aim for where he would be so that she could mark him with her skunk spray. Now wasn't the time for words in her opinion after all Cyrus had killed her boyfriend (the Gorrilla Chunin) even after it was obvious he had retreated for the time being he had no chance of making her surrender without killing her. Description: The user makes hand signs before expelling a highly compressed sphere of air which begins to compress further sucking in opponents rapidly as all opponents that possess A-rank speed and below are rapidly sucked into and then crushed by the powerful vacuum produced by the compression of air unless they possess A-rank or above Endurance or Defense tiers. After 2 posts it's compression reaches it's limit and it then explodes dealing damage equal to the rank of the user while expelling it's contents at Vacuum release speeds. This technique is useful for attracting objects and when combined with her Shurikenjutsu techniques the opponent is literally made a ring target before being bombarded constantly by the "homing" ninja tools.

Description: Stemming from the Shadow Clone technique albeit being used in the forms of kunai, this technique allows the user to produce a copy of a weapon made out of chakra. The more chakra used to fuel the technique the more copies can be made. Similarily copies can be made from copies as long as the user has enough chakra to fuel the technique. Copies do not have the same durability as the original and will dispell after one hit however they can cut, just as easily as the original and so long as they are not hit are just as lethal. Katie has perfected the use of this technique and depending on how much chakra she puts into it a different amount will appear. With D-rank chakra she can produce 1 clone, with C-rank chakra she can produce 6 clones, with B-rank chakra she can produce 12 clones, with A-rank chakra she can produce 24 clones & with S-rank chakra she can produce 48 clones. Meaning in short each clone of a sword requires a D-rank amount of chakra.
Arnold would move in the air before shooting out multiple spheres of wind from his beak at Wolf as the sphere of wires fell away. He would then tuck his wings behind him and spinning into a Tsuroga diving downward at Echoing Flash speeds in order to nail Rika before she could move to attack Max, he after all had a grudge against her, the Eagle Chunin that she had slaughtered was his little sister, he wouldn't simply not take a shot at her if he could help it. Even if he was disobeying orders, the Tsuroga of course was hard to aim but he was faster than her and even if he didn't hit her directly he didn't have to all he really had to do was pass her and he tear her body to shreds and that was exactly what he was aiming for. Description: The Hokkai Member and their pets transform into a single three-headed, gigantic animal thanks to the Human Beast Combination Transformation: Triple-Headed Beast technique, and have their body spin in a violent assault against the enemy. The ultra-violent rotation creates a vacuum vortex in its surroundings, that tears the enemy apart even without touching them directly as long as they are within 15 feet of the rotation. The excessively high speed of the rotation strips the user of their field of vision, but marking the enemy beforehand makes it possible to tail them with the sense of smell. This technique revolves around the user's tiers and deals damage equal to +2 to the users strength as well as can pierce through defenses equal to +1 to the users strength. This techniques speed however is greatly enhanced allowing the user to move at speeds equal to +2 speed tier but because of that this technique is hard to hit unless the enemy is already marked with Dynamic Marking. Recoil Damage sustained is split evenly between members of the combination and is dealt to them upon splitting up. This technique is infused with Wind Release chakra causing it to deal SS-rank elemental chakra damage with the added effect of expanding the radius at which it can deal damage victims sustaining additional physical wind damage of an SS-rank with they are within 20 feet of the initial vortex.
Max was more scheming than his allies, he would rush forward to meet Rika's charge ending up with Nuibari impaling his shoulder but he simply shifted the mental damage into affecting the crocodile head allowing him to keep moving at the cost of said head being knocked unconcious. Max himself would move before halting and darting to the side to roll into a Tenga in order to keep his distance so he wasn't caught up in his own attack, he had seen that Rika was dangerous in close quarters and wasn't trying to get close to her. Invidia who had launched her tongue at him would have it simply bounce off from the chakra coating Max's body if it wasn't simply sliced up by the rotation. - Spoiler:

However they are unable to sustain damage depending on the user's Defense/Endurance/Barrier as depending on that they can weather out more attacks however they are destroyed by an A-rank Hybrid & Spiritual technique each.

Description: The animal charges toward the opponent at high speeds and then abruptly stops, or breaks off releasing a shock-wave toward the opponent similar to the original technique however this technique differs in that rather than just one multiple shockwaves are released each one moving at the speed of the user's movement in a straight line over 20 feet before dispersing. The shock-wave will harm anything in its path and knock things flying dependent on the user's strength tiers that they used to stop themselves requiring equal rank strength to hold oneself in place lest they are knocked flying a certain distance. Like the original the animal can charge this attack with chakra sending a colored silhouette of an animal (If your animal is a badger it shoots a badger) as its "afterimage" which continues to head towards the target before exploding upon contact. The silhouette creates a massive explosion of the animal's chakra element. The explosion has a blast radius of 50 feet and expands at Blinding Light speeds to deal S-rank elemental chakra damage to an opponent.

Description: A Hokkai clan members pack are linked to them very deeply, the link varying upon the pets place in the pecking order. This link is so strong that as the Hokkai grow stronger, ranks up, the pet will also grow stronger, in the way of evolving. For every 1 rank up the Hokkai achieves, they receive two evolution tokens which can be spent on any of the Evolution Variations, to evolve any pet in their pack, these tokens can be saved. For every 1 rank up the pet achieves, they receive 1 evolution token.
Evolution Variations:
Size: Pet's can grow up to 2 Sizes above their species max if they are not Giant
Requiring 1 token, the pet can grow to the next size up.
If growing from Small to Medium, it requires 1 token, and when doing so the pet will start at Medium(S).
If growing from Medium to Large, it requires 2 tokens, and when doing so the pet will start at Large (S).
If growing from Large to Colossus, it requires 4 tokens, and when doing so the pet must already be Large(XL)

| OOC: Sorry for the delay and short post, have been really busy finishing up my work before Thanksgiving break. Cyrus noticed Katie draw the kunai and immediately charged towards her at S-rank speeds. Clearly this girl surpassed him in sheer reaction speeds alone so he had to change it up, try to catch her off guard. As she would throw the kunai, dozens of clones would poof into existence and impale Cyrus before immediately disappearing as Samehada absorbed the chakra out of the clones, nulling their existence entirely. Of course Cyrus wouldn't know that Katie was planning on unleashing her putrid smell in the location that he moved, but he was banking on the fact that she wouldn't expect a full frontal assault and even with her improved reaction abilities, be caught off guard, even if only momentarily. As Cyrus would charge at her, he would bring his right arm out and tense the muscles in it. It was clear this girl wasn't going to give up even when Cyrus gave her the out. So, unfortunately he'd have to turn this into even more of a blood bath. Cyrus would attempt to hit the girl's throat with his outstretched arm, sending her flying into the barrier surrounding all of them at S-rank speeds. - Spoiler:

Description: This is Cyrus's adapted version of the lariat technique in which he charges towards the opponent and performs the lariat, using his inner arm to hit the opponent's neck. The difference with this technique is that instead of blowing out the opponent's chest with a successful hit, the chakra scalpel-esq ability of his Medical Jujutsu will shatter the bones in the neck and chest as well as slice apart the lining of his or her throat and even heart. Additional damage equal to Cyrus's strength tier is applied with each object the opponent is sent crashing through, unless they possess S-rank or above defense tiers. An opponent is sent flying farther depending on their strength tiers.

| OOC: Mid-terms just got done with them sorry. She would listen to what Rika said about having her back and as she spoke she would open more gates, up to the 7th knowing that in order for them to win this they would need to be highly aggressive and worry about the repercussions later. The moment the shield dropped a Beast human clone would pop up next to Wolf nodding and mimicking the original as she would end the transformation in order to reveal her Origin Forme to provide her with the bulk necessary to make herself a larger target as well as larger weapon. Just as she suspected one of their enemies would dive down from above at high speeds causing Wolf to reply with a Gatsuga clad in Psionic Release Armor. Due to her size she would move to intercept the attack with a where she was going she would move to intercept the attack with her own attack it would be painful that she knew but unlike her opponents she had something which would guarantee her survival if she ended up taking more damage than they did. I'm coming Wolf just hold out until then and don't fucking die on me. King's words through the pack bond would ring out to her shortly after the triggered Pack Healing & Mystical Healing Palm in order to reduce the injuries if any that she'd sustain from hitting the opponents technique with her own. Description: This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by sending chakra from their hands into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it highly useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. In an offensive setting by sending an excess amount of chakra into the patient's body, the user can overload the patient's normal circulation, trapping them in a comatose state. This allows this technique to be used as an offensive weapon even though usually that is not desirable. Wolf's use of this technique is only capable on herself for some reason she was unable to grasp the basic of using it on others, however she has overcome this thanks to Hokkai techniques which allow her to fuse with King so she can heal them both.

Description: The pack will do anything to save their Alpha and the strength of the pack is the strength of their Alpha. However their comes a time where an Alpha must make the sacrifice of killing one of their pack members in order to ensure their survival and thus by extension the pack as a whole. Sacrifice Ultimatum trades life for life, punishment for punishment, pain for pain and can be considered the ultimate form of Pack Healing as not even death is exempt from it. One of the Pack members gives their consent through the pack bond causing them to release a primal roar before whatever is afflicting the Alpha is passed on to them. This trade is equal as they are giving up their well being for their Alpha and thus their sacrifice can result in their death hence why out of all the techniques it is the most forbidden and restricted to only Alphas.

| OoC: Yeah so umm... family decided that despite me having a week of free time due to thanksgiving, that they would have me do a bunch of stuff for them. So I am incredibly sorry for holding up this topic and I really hope I haven't pissed anyone off. Rika would grin as soon as Nuibari pierced Max, that was all she needed. Sure he was able to somehow withstand the extreme mental damage from Kitsune, but having Nuibari go through him was all she needed. She would instantly follow up after seeing it pierce him, pulling tightly on the wire and all of a sudden Max would notice himself being constrained by the invisible Nuibari wires. On top of that he would suffer and extreme drop in natural energy after being pierced by Nuibari in the first place. Rika silently thanked Wolf for covering her, if she hadn't, Rika would have had trouble dealing with both Max and Arnold at once. Rika would waste no time in making the wire's of the legendary awakened Nuibari bladed and allow them to cut deeply into Max. If he was still alive after such a powerful attack he would find blood threads attached to him thanks to nuibari that would be draining his life force away. - Spoiler:

Description: This is simply a preparation technique in which Rika spreads the wires of Nuibari all over the battle field. Upon activation, this technique requires Rika to be in constant movement, spreading the wires around the battlefield. (Jutsu isn't revealed in spoilers until preparation is complete.) For this technique to be finished, Rika needs to land a hit on the target with Nuibari. The amount of posts it takes to set up "set" is determined by Rika's speed:

Description: The follow up to Dance of Resu: Set. "Slice" begins upon Rika piercing the target with nuibari at the end of "set". Rika yanks on the wire and all the wires that were prepared by Rika during "set" are drawn in towards the target, this is unavoidable as they are being pulled towards the target themselves, not the area the target is occupying. The wires will be pulled tightly around the target , holding their limbs down and cutting into their skin painfully, but not lethally. Jutsu that require movement (handseals included) are unusable while trapped in this technique. Other jutsu that don't require movement must be B-rank or above to be used.

Description: A simple technique Rika developed through her practice with nuibari. This involves her adding a notch, or bend, to the wire of Nuibari. This allows her to yank on the wire after it pierces through the target, causing the notch to bend further and redirect Nuibari back towards Rika herself, from which point she can easily catch it. This technique was created by Rika for the sake of removing the necessity to chase after Nuibari constantly in order to retrieve it after "stitching" a target.

Description:This is a forbidden technique which has been forgotten by the puppeteers of today only to be picked up by the Yoroi of today. This is a spin on the usual puppetry technique as the chakra threads become tainted red with the blood of the user. This allows them to attach the threads to living opponents and create open wounds that connect them to their puppet allowing them to control them perfectly in battle. The threads are launched at Crashing Ground speeds and they are able to control anyone equal and below their rank. The threads gradually siphon the life energy of the person it controls storing it in the threads for a more advanced technique.

| Katie would launch her foul smelling liquid thinking Cyrus was going to dodge, however when he rushed forward her impatience cost her, her life that is. Her neck would be shattered with blood dribbling out of her throat as she was knocked off her feet landing some several feet away and not getting up after clearly dead. The barrier had long since been removed ever since Wolf and Rika took out the Hokkai on the roof so now Cyrus was now able to do whatever he wanted to do since he had dispatched his enemies. Arnold would collide with Wolf the impact causing him to be knocked back his body mangled at bit by the slicing motion and if not for him using his wings to collide first he would of had his face shredded open as well. As it stood he was now unable to fly and would land on a rooftop skull first being knocked unconcious from the impact.
Finally it was Max, who had made the mistake of being caught by Nuibari which quickly surrounded him and bound him in place with sharp wires with her Puppet targetting his other shoulder causing it to blow up to deal even more damage to him. However that was of his least concern his body would rapidly turn to stone as Nuibari drained natural energy that he did not possess out of him turning the once proud Hokkai clan member who was a dangerous threat...sort of into a large statue. All of the threats were dealt with which was pretty cool that they were able to do this with minor injuries..no doubt the power of the Blades of the Shogunate. | |

| Cyrus sighed as he looked at the girl, clearly dead in front of him, I wish it hadn't come to this. I warned her, I was looking for a fight, not a murder. He looked at Wolf and Rika, noticing that they had dealt with their problems in a similar fashion and shrugged, This definitely isn't going to help Wolf's case with the Hokkai, but oh well, it is what it is I suppose. He said to no one in particular, deactivating his Super Saiyan technique. Cyrus would begin walking towards Rika, and as he did so Samehada would detach itself from its master, giving Cyrus the appearance of shedding skin as he walked. It was mildly unnerving to be honest, You okay? Anything that needs mending? He was confident in Rika's abilities, but it never hurt to be nice. He looked to Wolf and called to her, How about you Wolf? You need anything patched up? Cyrus asked, his hand already beginning to glow green in anticipation of minor injuries. | |

| Wolf would pant slightly shifting into her Dobutsu form and nodding as Cyrus asked if she needed mending, her arms were shredded from the attack and though she had split her injuries with King she would prefer if she were healed so she could split her health with him once more while the healing was going on. She was thankful for the help though what Cyrus said was true it wouldn't help her case against the elders but even so the clan rules were strict in her eyes they had challenged her right to be Alpha and she had slaughtered them for their insolence. In fact due to their challenge not being one on one as the clan rules dictated it was even more so an insult, but she knew somehow the fact that she was a Dobutsu would be weighed against her. She would look towards the south as she heard incoming movement and would tense up before relaxing as she realized who it was.
King would arrive in his gated form with a small crater from his impact scanning the area his face barely restraining his fury at the situation. The fuck happened here. King said moving over to Wolf and checking her over his own pain currently inconsequential once he accertained that she was fine or rather going to be fine he would look towards Cyrus and Rika. Thank you for protecting her, were there any survivors I need to find out exactly who sent them, the clan decided she was still family and thus not to be touched, yet some idiot decided they were above the law and went behind the Council's back to do this. Blood will pay for blood. he said his fury obvious but despite that he wasn't going to take it out on the people who had ensured the ambush wasn't successful. If they weren't here Wolf would have died, he was certain of it there were too many opponents for her to handle just on her own without resorting to the upper gates and she could only do that for so long without him assisting her. He would look back Rainer after all would be here shortly for now he would deactivate his gates clenching his teeth as the injuries Wolf shared with him were now able to be felt now that his adrenaline wasn't pumping. |

| A howl could be heard in the distance, it didn't take long for him to smell the blood of his kinsman on the wind. His heart would ache for wolf, and for the familiar scents he smelled and hoped were protecting the dobutsu. He landed nearby the statue of Max and fell to his knees at the sight. He knew what had happened, and yet he didn't want to believe it. Rainer and Konrad split from each other, leaving the young clan head sitting infront of the stone Hokkai to grieve. Konrad made his way around the battlefield to asses the situation, looking for any signs of life amongst the fallen Hokkai clan members. Taking a deep breath Rainer spoke in a broken voice. You will leave for the land of beginnings as instructed. You will not return without completing your mission. If you try for revenge you will only find my justice. You WILL submit to me, and I will behead you. There is more of their blood here than hers, revenge is the last thing you're to worry about. His words were soft and filled with pain as he rose from his knees. He'd done so much for King already, but he could only do so much. A man hunt with him at the wheel meant only more pain for them both. Above all else he would not let him butcher anymore of his clansmen. This was a matter of justice not revenge.
Konrad sat down and decided to explain rainer a bit before his words could be taken the wrong way. This is a matter of politics King. The attack happened during the meeting, before the order was given. The clan won't see this as treason, but only as youth doing what they thought was right. They will receive proper funerals, you will do what you were instructed to do. We will figure out what happened here and stop whoever thinks they can go behind Rainer's back. On top of that we don't need Hokkai battling Hokkai on the streets like wild dogs. This needs to be done in secret to make sure the clan stays within the good graces of the public eye. Rainer gave King a look that could be summed up in one word "Obey". He would then turn toward Cyrus, and gain a softer more apologetic grimace. Rainer hadn't spoken to Cyrus in what seemed like a life time. It was never that he didn't like Cyrus, more that he just never had anything to say to him. Though the words just didn't seem to come together this time. | |

| Cyrus would walk over to Wolf and place his hands on her arms, the soft green glow of the medical technique would begin mending the torn flesh and muscle. A soothing effect would take hold fairly quickly, putting Wolf out of the majority of her pain. Cyrus wouldn't even turn to look as the ground behind him would explode in a crater, throwing up a cloud of dust and rock, marking King's arrival on the scene. Oh hey King, you're just in time. Some of your cousins got a little rowdy, they've been...taken care of though. Cyrus said with a slight smirk as he finished healing Wolf's arms, There you go, good as new. I wouldn't go getting into any scraps for the rest of the day, but you'll be fine for day to day activities. Cyrus said, brushing his hands together, not that there was anything to wipe away, he just did that for effect. Cyrus took on a more serious appearance at King's question about the survivors, As far as I know...no, unfortunately. Though it wasn't for lack of trying. He said, thinking about Katie, he had offered her a way out, knowing full well how it would end. He didn't regret putting her down, but if it could have been any other way he would've taken it. There was enough war and fighting going on lately that there was no need for senseless violence among the members of the Shogunate. Cyrus raised his eyebrows in surprise at the appearance of Rainer. He nodded in acknowledgement of his fellow Blade and listened as he spoke to King. When Rainer finished and Konrad began speaking, Cyrus moved towards Rainer, Been awhile, guess we've just both been busy. Clearly you have your hands full here and although I hate to do this to you, it's necessary. I'll be calling a meeting of the Blades in the next twenty-four hours. The Shogunate has sat idly by long enough, it's time we visit our friends in the East, see just what's happening on that continent. I'll be in touch. With that, Cyrus nodded towards King and Wolf, You know where to find me if you need anything. Sounds like we might be heading in the same direction anyway. Cyrus turned and walked off, he needed to prepare for the meeting and things had clearly taken a turn in the clan business direction, which was none of his business. - Spoiler:

King would snap out of his "Dark" personality into his "Light" one after he heard Rainer's words causing him to realize what he had said and how he had come across with Wolf looking downcast, he would open his mouth to apologize but Wolf would place a paw on his shoulder before shaking her head causing him to close his eyes with a jaw clench. Understood, I will make my leave. I'll be heading to the Land of Forsaken...Cyrus-san. King said before taking off ashamed of himself for letting anger take over instead of seeing the bigger picture. Clan members were dead, clan members that King used to lead and Wolf swore to protect when she became Alpha, how could he be so ruthless, his personality was becoming worse as he aged and it...scared him. He wouldn't look back wouldn't stop until Rainer's orders were carried out after all that was...his task given to him by the Alpha there was no questioning Rainer's authority.
Wolf would stay behind for a bit closing her eyes and she prayed to Gaia for the slain clan members passing before moving to give Rika a hug as she didn't know if they'd see each other again, sure she and King were strong but the Forsaken was a dangerous place filled with it's own risks. Once she bid her goodbye to her friend who she hadn't really known for a long expanse of time but had proven herself to be a good one she would tilt her head to Konrad. Be safe, the pack looks to you now Konrad. She said in beast tongue of course, once that was said she took would head out following after her mate, she realized of course why they had been sent away, it was both for their protection and it was a punishment at the same time. One she felt they deserved knowing that the clan backlash from the massacre would be huge especially to those who already didn't support them. It was best to leave for a bit until Rainer found a way to appease them and return when they had the Dobutsu for the clan to study..

He nodded to Cyrus, and turned toward Konrad. It was going to be a long day of mourning for the clan, the lose here was great. Not in numbers, but in moral and so much more. With the blades being gathered he new he wouldn't be able to stay and be there for the clan. Rainer was a blade far before he was clan head, he'd become a blade for the clan. It only made sense for him to answer the call of the Shogun. He only hoped the clan knew they were what he always put first, even if he left for whatever mission the shogun sent him on. Climbing on Konrad Rainer had a slightly disheveled look about him as the two went off.

| OoC: Internet has been out for a bit now but I got it back today. Plus as far as I knew topic was ending so me not posting wasn't a big deal since everyone was making exit posts. On the bright side of things I think my loss of muse is gone so I should be posting pretty regularly again now that my schedule is clearing up a bit and will be completely free almost once winter break hits next friday.
Rika grinned as her opponent died in front of her. This had been a fun fight, truly testing her capabilities, she learned many things about herself during the course of the fight, namely ways she could improve. Her mind was swimming with plans and things she wanted to work towards. She hadn't been this excited after a fight in a long time, when was the last time she had felt in such a manner? She thought back and the first thing that came to mind was one of her first assassination missions. She had backed her helpless opponent into a corner and then a missing nin hired as a bodyguard was there to fight her off. In the end she stood over their corpses with a bleeding scalp and a broken ribcage, yet she had never felt as alive.
Rika's thoughts snapped back to the present and she found herself staring blankly into Max's body with a smile. She quickly snapped out of it and walked over to her allies who were discussing something. It seemed they had finished their opponents off too. She didn't like getting so worked up over a kill, but the excitement it gave her was like none other. She knew herself to be a killer at heart but she tried to avoid thinking about it entirely. Anyways it seemed Rainer and King had arrived and they were departing for the land of Forsaken. "I-i see... I wish you two luck on your mission." she said to King and Wolf, looking over to Rainer with a saddened face. The pain he felt from this was clear but if anyone understood putting duty over personal wants it was Rika. Wolf moved to hug her and Rika squeezed her tightly. "Just be safe and remember that if you ever need me I will come, no matter the distance, no matter the cost." she said before releasing Wolf. Rika waited and watched her friends depart before turning to the corpse of her opponent once again and longing after the feeling of excitement the battle with him brought. | |
