Personality: Yushu is a stern young man with a sense of-- who am I kidding this kid has insecurities! His outward personality appears cold and unresponsive as Yushu is a very introverted young man who can't communicate very effectively. He stumbles on his words and has trouble asking and requesting for certain things. Yushu lacks the confidence to step outside of his comfort zone especially for interpersonal affairs and social activities. If anything, he is quite the opposite on the inside! Colors of his mind prance across the canvases of his setting. His imagination seeks out the world's lightest attributes so that he focuses on the positives while ignoring some of the darker things to protect himself from the nightmares that always seem to crawl into the shadows. The young boy's fear of the nightmares that crawl underneath the ground, the monsters of shadows and of the pitch black nights, make him very cowardly in the night. Along with his very active imagination is his sense of self. Although not many other children his age share the reflective view of self as Yushu does, this is nothing too out of the ordinary. This means that Yushu has a matured perspective of himself, an image that he thinks of whenever he thinks about himself. This image is often very much the source of his insecurities. His view of himself is a version that is much younger, a boy about the age of five. Yushu often berates himself for active too young and having irrational fears. His self image is so young because the fears are often found in kids that age. He hates when people refer to him as a scaredy-cat. Yushu can be very stubborn in the face of oppression. As much as adults or bullies can lash out at him, he can take it with a surprising degree of courage. The young man has potential to be much more open to the world but yet this potential is still untouched.

Appearance:


Pale, scraggly, and overall childlike, Yushu is a young boy with an innocent complexion. He wears lighter colored clothes or white, long-sleeve clothes. Usually he won't bother with t-shirts. He likes pants over shorts and usually his pants are loose and are easy to move around in. He wears belts to keep them on his body nevertheless he often has to readjust his pants so they won't fall off! Yushu' bright red eyes seem to glow in a shade of red which can be a little intimidating but normally his cheerfulness will prove that otherwise useless. His white hair is messy and can be sorted with bedhead.

History: Dreams and ideas can come from anyway, the smallest of inspirations and the dimmest of stars. Such dreams take time to form however. They begin small like a child and grow older, wiser, stronger than before. Most vital to a dream is the birthplace. In the darkest shadows, the weakest dreams are born to the children with the smallest hopes. Yushu, a newly born member of the Tamanegi clan, grew up with a small dream of surviving his clan. The structure of training was built to favor the strong over the weak and in Yushu's case he was unfavorable in many ways. His fear of the darkness was something he struggled with as the Tamanegi were born with an affinity for the shadows. His parents didn't favor him and proffered his siblings. This was apparent for a long time.

Instead of staying with family, the academy served as a way to make him stronger. He was skilled in a few areas. His imagination was a hindrance for his physical side while useful for his mental potential. Genjutsu came easy to him. His imagination played the most important part. Unlike his cousin, Akuchi, Yushu was only an average student. However, like his cousin, Yushu had a strong affinity for a single ninja art. Genjutsu for him was as simple as thinking up an image. Of course training was provided by an talented instructor, but this natural talent was a gateway to a better life. Yushu's dream of survival grew bigger. He no longer wish to just survive he want to become more talented with genjutsu to the point that his imagination would become real.
