Name: Veela Ancestry Classification: Taijutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Passive Range: Self
Description: Fushichō have not only kept a close association with the Phoenix Contract for hundreds of years but likewise share lineage with captured avian Dobutsu with Phoenix origin formes which they eventually interbred into extinction as certain traits linger within their bloodline even until today. The most prominent being the fact that all Fushicho are born with retractable down feathers & will eventually grow an additional 1 set of retractable feathers in Females while 2 sets for males. These feathers come in three sets, the first which are known as Down Feathers which provide the Fushicho with heat insulation and reduce the amount of stamina lost from cold based conditions such as Hypothermia by replenishing ones stamina by a set amount as long as the Fushichō is cold. The second which are known as Contour Feathers which are stiff and assist with flight for short bursts of time (Turns). Finally the last which are known as Plume feathers and are only manifested when the Male Fushicho is engulfed in flames as a symbol of status due to their numerous colors and are liquid resistant preventing the Fushicho from being extinguished by liquid materia when ablaze. In addition Fushicho are perhaps the only Humans capable of reproducing naturally with Dobutsu, if Aero Tribe (3/10 aren't stillbirths), Flame Tribe (2/10 aren't stillbirths), Other Tribes (1/10 aren't stillbirths). Age (Height) - Feather Sets (Amounts of Each) - Feather Benefits (Down/Contour/Plume) Below 1 (2 ft & Below) - 1 (25) - +0 Stamina/1 Turn/Water 1-5 (3 ft) - 1 (50) - +1 Stamina/2 Turns/Acid 6-10 (4 ft) - 2 (75, 50) - +2 Stamina/3 Turns/Blood 11-15 (5 ft) - 2 (100, 100) - +3 Stamina/4 Turns/Boil 16-20 (6 ft) - 3 (125, 150, 100) - +4 Stamina/5 Turns/Ghost Water 21+ (7 ft) - 3 (150, 200, 200) - +5 Stamina/6 Turns/Aqua
Name: Hollow Skeleton Classification: Taijutsu Rank: D Class: Passive Range: Self
Description: Those within the Fushichō clan are naturally adapted for flight, but this extends more than just their feather manifestation but rather their very bones are hollow and very light-weight. Unlike normal birds however it doesn't mean that they are fragile due to their close association with Life Release due to their Elemental Kekkei Genkai it merely grants them a skeletal system which is light enough for their sprouted feathers on their arms to allow them limited flight. It does however mean that they are capable of jumping higher than normal individuals but likewise sustain additional knock-back distance when afflicted by such things. Likewise depending on their age they are lighter than normal. Age of Fushichō - Jump/Knock-Back Modifier - Weight[/u] Infancy - +10 ft - 1x Humanoid Weight (Normal) Childhood - +20 ft - 1/2th of Humanoid Weight Teenage - +30 ft - 1/3th of Humanoid Weight Young Adult - +40 ft - 1/4th of Humanoid Weight Adult until Death - +50 ft - 1/5th of Humanoid Weight
Name: Sol Fire Classification: Taijutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Passive Range: Self
Description: Those within the Fushichō clan have the specific ability to spontaneously erupt into flames transforming their bodies from their normal physical state into a fire clad intangible one. The flames themselves are not that hot to the touch even though they can burn objects on contact (Fire Release Physical Dmg) and set things ablaze the true potential of this ability lies within the intangibility granted by their flaming form. This is due to them being granted not only physical immunity but likewise flight and most importantly the Fushichō Clan member's ability to produce Ash materia each P.T they spend within their flaming form in order to make use of Ash Release techniques. Due to being comprised of fire they are extremely weak to water, at least until the males gain their Plume feathers whereas female Fushichō are always in danger as contact with water not only quenches them to deal damage to them but likewise reverts them to their tangible state leaving them unable to transform back for sometime (Turns). Name: Phoenix's Chosen Classification: Kinjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Passive Range: Self
Description: The Fushichō are functionally immortal, this is in regards to when one dies they burn out and turn into ashes. If a newborn Fushichō or even a newborn in general they are reincarnated into that child. In the case of a Fushichō they retain the memories of their past life, however in the case of a newborn they may get deja-vu with things which remind them of their past life and typically due to the lingering remnants of the Fushichō end up having a child or marrying into the clan. This process however can be sped up drastically if the Fushichō is killed by flames of any type (Fire, Blaze, Ghost Fire & Yugure Flames) as after a complete of hours to days they will eventually be born anew from the ashes of their carcass at their original age though weakened until the end of the topic they were reborn in. If there are no trace of their burnt corpse left they are born as a newborn from flames lingering within the area quenching the flame once they come back to life. This was a gift they obtained through their bond with the Phoenix Contract as their familiars are capable of a much more potent version of this ability seeing as Phoenix are true immortals. However if all of the flames in the area are snuffed out they can still be reborn if a flame is started in the same location or near where they died up to a certain point after which they will be unable to do so and thus end up truly deceased. - Kinjutsu:
Name: Split Soul Classification: Kinjutsu Rank: D-Rank Class: Supplementary Range: N/A
Description: Weaponkin do not possess full souls of their own. Due to the strange nature of the initial creation of the first generation of Weaponkin, their souls are instead split in half between the Yoroi which are dead and gone and the soul that was initially devoured by the Weapon. This half soul shows itself in that the Weaponkin can gain cosmetic appearances of the race that their non-Yoroi half came from, such as the more metallic skin of Cypher or the pointed ears of Nova. In addition they gain a physical ability based off of the species of their soul and an element along with it, of course they are unable to use ninjutsu but this element can be used for a wide variety of other things. Type of Soul - Tier Gained - Element Able to be Chosen Human - Endurance - Primary Zireh - Barrier - Specialised Primary Nova - Speed - Dual Combination
Name: Knowledge Thief Classification: Kinjutsu Rank: D-Rank Class: Supplementary Range: Self
Description: The Living Weapons that the Weaponkin were birthed from were particularly skilled in dealing with souls, able to devour and steal information from those souls in order to empower themselves, going as far as taking entire technique lines from the person that was killed. Weaponkin unfortunately are not able to do this but they still retain a tiny amount of that ability to steal souls. If they have taken part in the death of an opponent close enough to them, depending on their rank, they are able to steal a shard of their soul, a tiny piece of their knowledge and training coming with it. The more the person has done the greater the knowledge that is stolen from them, this allows the Weaponkin to reduce the WC of their next training topic, be it solo, specialisation, weekly or even an awakening topic by using this 'stored' knowledge. Weaponkin are also able to stack this up by killing multiple people before using it. Rank of User/Target - Radius of Theft(ft) - WC Reduced D - 10 - 100 C - 20 - 200 B - 30 - 400 A - 40 - 800 S - 50 - 1000 'Z' - 75 - 1500 'X' - 100 - 2000
- Kugujutsu:
Name: Synergistic Existence Classification: Kugujutsu Rank: D-Rank Class: Supplementary Range: Self/Contact
Description: There were tales before of Living Weapons being able to take over the mind of the Yoroi or Vanir wielding them or granting boons to the one wielding them through their own power, although this was generally always in the Yoroi's control and could be shut off. Some of this power has leaked down into Weaponkin while they are transformed in that they are able to manipulate their wielder, granting them a measure of control even as a mere weapon. This comes in two forms that are wildly different from one another, the first is Symbiotic Wielding(Energy Tech/Kugujutsu) which allows the Weaponkin to grant additional effects and bonuses to the wielder of the weapon and allowing them to retain full control of both the weapon and their own body. On the other side is Forced Wielding (Kinjutsu/Kugujutsu) which allows the Weaponkin to either suddenly, or slowly, seep into and take over the mind of the person wielding them, controlling some of their movements or in extreme cases their entire bodies if their minds aren't strong enough. The other thing that Synergistic Existence allows is that the Weaponkin can grant their techniques and knowledge to the person wielding them, allowing anyone to become proficient with their weapon type regardless of their own natural skill.
Name: Walking Arsenal Classification: Kugujutsu/Taijutsu Rank: D-Rank Class: Passive Range: Self
Description: All Weaponkin are born with a weapon form ingrained into their bodies and minds. This weapon form is usually a mix or similar to their parents if they were born or exactly the same as they were as a Living Weapon if they happened to be First Generation. Through control and mastery, the Weaponkin is able to learn to alter their body in its entirety or just partially into its weapon form or even just parts of its weapon form (such as just the spear point of a halberd), allowing them great versatility in combat. When their weapon form is chosen they are of course able to utilise the weapon style it is aligned to, kenjutsu for melee weapons, shurikenjutsu for projectiles, kyujutsu for bows, hojutsu for guns, etc and are able to make techniques based around it which are classified as Kugujutsu/Taijutsu. Lastly, their transformation speed is altered by a 1k word weekly training which allows them to enhance the speed of their transformation. | - Kyujutsu:
Name: Shadow Bolt Ringing Classification: Kyujutsu Rank: D Class: Supplementary Range: Self (Crossbow Bolt), Mid-range
Description: A simple technique using crossbow bolts, the user fires bolts with tiny bells embedded within and bolts without bells at the same time. The intention is that the opponent will only react to the sound of the bells and won't notice the silent ones, getting hit by these. This technique focuses on how the brain instinctively works: reacting to the sound, the brain "forgets" about the information provided by the other senses. However, it is very easy to evade the attack if the opponent recognizes the trick, due to having encountered it in a topic previously and simply focuses on how many bolts were actually fired which requires D-rank reaction tiers to accurately keep track. Even so when an opponent has recognized the trick they can still be deluded through other more subtle bolt kyujutsu add-ons to this technique. With higher levels of skill the number of bolts with and without the tiny bells that can be fired at once per use of this technique are increased as the user grows more accustomed to the use of crossbows. Rank - No. of Bolts (Bells) D - 2 (1) C - 3 (2) B - 4 (3) A - 5 (4) S- 6 (5) Elite - Double (of Rank)
Name: Manipulated Bolt Technique Classification: Kyujutsu Rank: D Class: Supplementary Range: Mid Range
Description: With this technique a translucent wire, both elastic and highly durable, is attached to a crossbow bolt, making it possible to alter its path after having fired it, additionally the chakra string technique can be used as a substitute. An expert will have the ability to freely glide the bolts in any direction with just a single movement of their fingertip. The first attack, challenging the enemy, is avoided and after a time-lag of several seconds (5 P. T), it will come from behind as long as the opponent is within 20ft of the user. Depending on the performance, the possible tactics can be infinite. With higher levels of skill the time-lag before the additional bolts can be manipulated to repeat the attack can be shortened as the user gets more skilled with this technique's execution. Rank - Time-lag in posts (total) D - 5 C - 4 B - 3 A - 2 S - 1
Name: Shadow Bolt Technique Classification: Kyujutsu Rank: D Class: Offensive/Supplementary Range: Self
Description: It's a simple technique where two crossbow bolts, like the Barbed Bolt, are piled one onto another and fired simultaneously. However, depending on the way it's used, it can prove its absolute efficiency. The trick is to somehow draw the enemy's attention towards the upper bolt. Then, they have to deal with the path of the lower, unnoticed bolt. However, if the enemy notices both bolts, the technique ends up losing all of its efficiency. Due tot it's subtle nature this technique is not required to be placed in spoiler tags until it is triggered unless the opponent has a wind displacement sensory technique D-rank or above. With higher skills the number of senbon which can be hidden in the shadows of one another, with one use of this technique, can be increased making this simple technique more deadly. - Genjutsu:
Name: Veela Illusion Style Classification: Fighting Style Rank: C-rank Class: Supplementary Range: Self
Description: The Veela Illusion Style was initially created to prey on those who succumbed to their great beauty which was inherited from their Aero Tribe ancestors. This style relies primarily on the use of sensual movements resulting in a visual cue triggered genjutsu style unable to be broken via pain despite being able to be broken by kai. This technique is ineffective on blind opponents while those with sensitive vision or tracking techniques based on vision are able to be trapped in this genjutsu over greater distances than those with normal vision. Type of Vision - Distance seen (Muscle Tension/Time Slowing/Premonitory/Precognitive) Normal - 1/3/5/10 (ft) Raised - 3/5/10/20 (ft) Heightened - 5/10/20/40 (ft) Enhanced - 10/20/40/80 (ft) Max - 20/40/80/160 (ft) Above Max (Telescopic) - 40/80/160/320 (ft)
Name: Demonic Illusion: Mist Classification: Genjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Supplementary Range: AOE
Description: An ocular genjutsu based on the Hidden Mist technique with the use making hand seals before expelling out their chakra with a victim seeing these actions before visualizing the expelled chakra as mist which begins to fill the area. The mist spreads rapidly at swift release speeds but can fill a large radius depending on the user's skill level. Once finished it lingers cutting vision and masking the user as their chakra signature fills the entire mist. It is unable to be cleared with area clearing techniques only upon breaking free of the genjutsu can it be noticed. A secondary method of triggering it's effect is as a touch based genjutsu typically used as a follow up to the Hidden Mist Technique due to the water vapor comprising the mist touching the victims skin making it no longer able to be broken out of via pain. Rank of User - Radius "Mist" Covers D - 40ft C - 80ft B - 120ft A - 160ft S - 200ft
Name: Demonic Illusion: Mirage Classification: Genjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Supplementary Range: Short-Mid (Sight of Target)
Description: Clio stands straight before stomping on the ground in order to trigger this visual cue genjutsu in which the opponent who gazes at her will see orange feathers surround her before the entire area is shrouded in a orange mist concealing her presence from the opponent. This leaves the opponent confused as to where Clio went and is mainly utilized either as an entry level genjutsu or to buy time to either close distances or get away.
Name: Offsetting Illusion: Offsetting Sound Classification: Genjutsu Rank: D-rank (Constant D-rank Chakra Drain when Active) Class: Supplementary Range: Short-Mid (Hearing Distance)
Description: This technique is an auditory cue genjutsu often triggered by a whistle causing the opponent to feel off balance and disorientated, it is more powerful on those who possess reaction tiers however as it was meant to turn said reaction against them towards the user's favor. The result is that if they move at Max Tier levels they stumble and lose their balance until this genjutsu is broken while if they possess D-rank Reaction if they move at Standard Tier levels they stumble while if they move at Max Tier levels they always trip and fall.
Name: Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique Classification: Genjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Supplementary Range: Short-Mid
Description: One of the few genjutsu techniques which primarily utilize hand seals to preform, as a result once the hand seals have been preformed the user needs to gaze at the target of the genjutsu before it is activated. This is a genjutsu that reveals the fears that dwell inside people's hearts. Everyone has an image of the one thing they wouldn't want to ever see. This genjutsu is a technique that draws forth such an image from within the heart and has one mistake it for reality. First, an imaginary circle of leaves will spin around and envelop the target, falling away shortly after. After a short period, the illusion will begin. This is to make the illusion more convincing, since the user will likely have moved before the illusion sets in. If the mental image is a gruesome one, the shock will be accordingly great stunning a victim for 1 post (total) or 2 posts (total) if they do not possess barrier tiers.
Name: Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique Classification: Genjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Supplementary Range: AOE
Description: A genjutsu that allows one to trick others into mistaking the place they're in for another. This technique's main feature is that it can be cast over an extensive surface (40ft radius), therefore any and all who step into the illusion's area of effect will fall under the spell. That said, it might not work so well on people who are well-versed or otherwise skilled in genjutsu. This technique is location based and like all location based genjutsu it can be pre-cast over a surface only triggered by others stepping into it's area of effect. It can not even be noticed by chakra snesory only those with a form of mental sensory or genjutsu detection (D-rank or above) can locate it. The amount of topic's that the genjutsu can last over after being placed is dependent on the user's skill level. Rank of User - Number of Topics D - 1 C - 2 B - 3 A - 4 S - 5
Name: Offsetting Illusion: Bell Bolts Classification: Genjutsu Rank: C-rank Class: Supplementary Range: Hearing Range
Description: Clio uses this technique with the bells embedded in her special crossbow bolts. The bells' ringing produces a particular sound wave, which travels from the inner ear directly to affect the brain. This causes her target to hallucinate, seeing multiple images of her, and making very hard to tell the real one from the illusions. Additionally, the target loses their motor skills with continued exposure to the ringing. This technique is normally used after she distracts her opponent with Shadow Bolt Ringing. The amount of copies they see are dependent on the clone limit however the degree that their motor skills are impaired are based on the number of posts they can hear the ringing (includes from techniques making use of crossbow bolts with bells such as Shadow Bolt Ringing). Posts (Total) Bells ringing - Reaction Tier Debuff - Hearing Level (Distance from Bell victim is affected) 0 - N/A - Deaf (None) 1 - None - Min [Kurogane] (2ft), Reduced (4ft), Lowered (5ft) 5 - Drops down to Non-Samurai Lvl - Normal (10ft), Raised (15ft) 10 - 1-rank - Heightened (20ft), Enhanced (25ft) 15 - 2-ranks - Max [Kurogane] (40ft) 20 - 3-ranks
Name: Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique Classification: Genjutsu Rank: C-rank Class: Supplementary Range: AOE
Description: This technique places another illusion within another illusion created by the user. When the target dispels the first illusion, they will not realise that a second is in place. In addition to being a means to strengthen the Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique and double it's range (80ft radius) this technique is useful in genjutsu chains. This is because of it's dispell effect in which when placed in a chain when an opponent dispells those ahead of it via kai or any other means they break free of all of the genjutsu preceeding it leaving those used after it still in effect. This allows the user of the genjutsu to trigger the others at a later date further hiding their use preventing a victim from detecting that they are still trapped in a genjutsu unless they possess Genjutsu detection (C-rank or above). When this deception is revealed this technique is placed first and the genjutsu(s) being used are then placed in spoiler tags.
Name: Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death Classification: Genjutsu Rank: B-rank Class: Supplementary/Offensive Range: Mid-range
Description: The user first disappears from plain sight in a mist-like fashion in order to approach the target without being detected. Once close enough, the target will then be completely robbed of their mobility as they see the mirage of a fast-growing tree (crashing ground) coiling itself around them. Given that the subject remains conscious, this technique proves extremely efficient for information-gathering. Once the target is immobile, the user can then attack the enemy, usually after emerging from the trunk of the tree. This technique is amazing for setting up other techniques as the opponent is robbed of mobility throughout the duration of them being trapped in this illusion. In addition Alicia's version of the technique is particularly dreadful when under the cover of mist as the tree's seemingly sprout out of nothingness all around the area causing the opponent to view it as if the scenery as a whole changed.
Name: Boundary Illusion: False Vicinity Technique Classification: Genjutsu Rank: B-rank (Chakra Price Varies) Class: Supplementary Range: AOE
Description: The enhanced version of the False Surrounding's technique which is transmitted by stepping within the area it is set upon rather than being a visual trigger like the original technique. This involves the user making hand seals before touching the surface results in the chakra comprising the genjutsu spreading at crashing ground speeds to cover an area with a radius of 120ft (240ft diameter). Due to it's method of activation it is a touch based genjutsu with contact with the area that it's been set initiating it and thus it can't be broken out of through pain. That said, it might not work so well on people who are very well-versed or otherwise highly skilled in genjutsu but it can be left on a surface ahead of time making it a useful trap based genjutsu. However it is most useful when used in genjutsu chains. This is because of it's dispel effect in which when placed in a chain when an opponent dispels those ahead of it via kai or any other means they break free of all of the genjutsu preceding it leaving those used after it still in effect. This allows the user of the genjutsu to trigger the others at a later date further hiding their use preventing a victim from detecting that they are still trapped in a genjutsu unless they possess Genjutsu detection (B-rank or above). When this deception is revealed this technique is placed first and the genjutsu(s) being used are then placed in spoiler tags, however until then when the opponent first uses kai the user only needs to reveal those which are before this one in the chain. Name: Boundary Illusion: Hazy Genjutsu Classification: Genjutsu Rank: B-rank Class: Supplementary Range: Mid, Long (Chained with False Surroundings/Vicinity)
Description: This technique casts an illusion on the enemy that blurs the target's vision of the entire area within a set position determined by the user of this technique. The area in question spreads over a 30 ft radius (60 ft diameter). In addition, when paired with one of the False Surroundings line of genjutsu it causes the victim to react as though they're sinking in quicksand, effectively immobilizing the target if they are on the ground, though if they are airborne it doesn't affect them. Regardless even as a stand alone it is quite effective as depending on if the victim has strong mental fortitude they will suffer cripples to their vision (Reaction Tiers). Name: Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death Explosion Classification: Genjutsu/Shurikenjutsu Rank: A-rank Class: Offensive Range: Short
Description: A follow up to Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death in which the user while the victim is restrained attaches explosive tags to their body during the window of activation if said victim is within 20ft of the user during the first activation. The user then makes a hand seal detonating the explosive tags while the victim within the genjutsu visualizes the tree exploding and their body along with it. This results in the victim sustaining A-rank mental damage and due to the explosive tags often sustaining a variable amount of physical explosive damage depending on how many explosive tags are stacked. The amount of tags capable of being stacked on a victim during the window of time between them being immobilized by the former technique and potentially either breaking free or the user detonating the tags depends on the user's skill level. Rank of User - No of Explosive Tags Placed D - 1 C - 2 B - 3 A - 4 S - 5
Name: Bringer of Darkness Technique Classification: Genjutsu Rank: A-rank Class: Offensive Range: Short-Mid
Description: This technique exerts an hallucinatory effect upon the eyesight, effectively blinding the opponent. No matter how skilled an opponent may be, they are forced to wait helpless in this world of darkness, as this technique allows the user to attack unseen. Although it negates sight, it does not stop the other senses. This is the perfect counter for dojutsu users as it literally negates the effects of their dojutsu by robbing them of the ability to use them. When used in conjunction with other sensory loss techniques the effects are only compounded as the opponent is left without any method of sensing the opponent unless they possess an additional method of sensory which extends past the usual 5. Rank of User - Sight Nullified (Dojutsu Affected) D - Normal (Raidengan) C - Raised (Kyougan, Mashin Raidengan) B - Heightened (Itsugan, Joukai Raidengan) A - Enhanced (Gekigan, A. Name: Boundary Illusion: Double False Vicinity Technique Classification: Genjutsu Rank: A-rank (Chakra Price Varies) Class: Supplementary Range: AOE
Description: The enhanced version of the Double False Surrounding's technique which is transmitted by stepping within the area it is set upon rather than being a visual trigger like the original technique. This is a double layer genjutsu that allows one to trick others into mistaking the place they're in for another due to layering one illusion over another this technique can be triggered in two ways, the first being for 2 B-rank chakra prices by first setting up the area with False Vicinity Technique before overlapping it with another False Vicinity Technique in order to trigger this one or by simply triggering this technique in a genjutsu chain. Regardless of how it is formed when this technique is dispelled whether by itself or in a chain it only fades away the first false surrounding while the second remains intact leading opponents to believe that they were free of the genjutsu unless they possess a mental sensory technique A-rank or above or find out that they are still in a genjutsu through some other means. This technique's main feature is that it can be cast over an extensive surface, therefore any and all who step into the illusion's area of effect will fall under the spell. This involves the user making hand seals before touching the surface results in the chakra comprising the genjutsu spreading at vacuum release speeds to cover an area with a radius of 160 ft (320 ft diameter). Due to it's method of activation it is a touch based genjutsu with contact with the area that it's been set initiating it and thus it can't be broken out of through pain. Description: Weaponkin are naturally disposed to Defense tiers as part of their inorganic bodies and pseudo-mechanical physiology. However Weaponkin defense tiers are different compared to those of Ronin as they do not just accept impacts but the energy of strikes against them, even ones that breach the defenses, are channeled back out into the point of the strike unleashing it in the form of a concussive impact. This counts as D-Rank defense tiers but when struck causes knockback requiring strength tiers to anchor one's self in place to avoid being sent flying backwards depending on the power of the user's defense tiers. Alternatively, the Weaponkin can allow the impact to work on themselves, launching them a distance backwards away from the foe with physical damage being sustained upon striking an object depending on the force of the knockback, mitigated immediately due to the Weaponkin's defense tiers. This counts as C-Rank defense tiers but when struck causes knockback requiring strength tiers to anchor one's self in place to avoid being sent flying backwards depending on the power of the user's defense tiers. Alternatively, the Weaponkin can allow the impact to work on themselves, launching them a distance backwards away from the foe with physical damage being sustained upon striking an object depending on the force of the knockback, mitigated immediately due to the Weaponkin's defense tiers. This effect changes when in full Weapon Form, during that the Weaponkin loses the knockback effect but this counts as a C-Rank counter weapon destruction technique.
