Velas was walking through the village kinda fast today she had on her normal attire. today she was gonna try to learn something called the summoning technique she really did not know much about it but what the hell if it means that she would have more variety in combat by having a pet she was ready to try anything. She made it to her house's training room she had always used for training and quickly pushed the door in to show the dark room with no windows. Velas sat in the corner of the room covered by shadows as she began to wonder all she knew about the summoning technique not much which made it all the more interesting. "so its a technique to pull things from the summoning realm....." Velas focused chakra to her toward her Left hand which made her palm begin to glow faintly "and life.." Velas lifted her right hand and began to try and focus chakra but nothing happened "which i do not have....or at least have not found out how to use it...what a pain" Velas stood up and punched the wall it was suppose to be easy but whatever somehow she knew what ehe had to do if she is suppose to be able to unlock the summoning ability that means he has Life in him somewhere.......He began to focus chakra in his right palm for awhile just standing there focusing her mind body and soul...." got it!!" his Right palm began to glow faintly before Velas bit her finger as she began to focus chakra in her Left hand causing both her palms to glow faint" i guess if they mix....." Velas took a deep breath and Clapped her hands together. Nothing really happened kinda lame huh i thought so too. Velas plopped down looking at her palms for a short while "thought for sure that would work...it did on that one game".....you know that game were the Fox ninja kills the nine tailed human demon...+_+ okay okay Velas stood up and began thinking all she could to help her mabye it was like how her fire release worked but she did not know how that worked either it was just there...Velas stood up and began walking around for awhile this was pretty hard trying to gain something with no kind of help."should be a book...a how to on this shit" Velas kicked the air in frustration she plopped down once again. "mabye if i do it like this.." Velas held her hands up and began to do his phiniex fire justu she really paid attetion to how she focused fire style chakra at the same time then if she needed to she used her hands placing them together to gaim more focus now she got it. She stood up and held her hands together and began focusing her chakra at the same time she stood and bit her finger before standing there for awhile just feeling it out then she noticed the Change"yes!!" velas would then slam her hand on the ground causing lines to appear and then poof her summon was there she decided on a name then began working on techniques with it. Before practicing a few more of her own while she was there.
Word count: 533 - Spoiler:
D-Rank speed
C-Rank speed
Summoning technique
Silent Killing technique
Name: Summoning Technique Classification: Kinjutsu Rank: N/A Class: Supplementary Range: Short
Description: The Summoning Technique is a space–time ninjutsu that allows the summoner to transport animals or people across long distances instantly. Before an animal summoning can be performed, a prospective summoner must first sign a contract with a given species. The contract comes in the form of a scroll, on which the contractor uses their own blood to sign their name and place their fingerprints and once signed is valid even after the contractors death. After this they need only offer an additional donation of blood on the hand they signed the contract with, mold their chakra with hand seals and then plant the hand they signed the contract with at the location they wish to summon the creature. The amount of chakra used during the summoning determines how powerful the summoned creature can be
Name: Silent Killing. Classification: Fighting Style. Rank: D Class: Supplementary Range: Self.
Description: As the name suggests, this technique is simply a very quiet method of killing an opponent, usually from behind with a blade. Additionally, because the user is very silent, it cannot be defended against. The user will often slit their opponent's throat, preventing any cry that might give them away. Skilled users are capable of tracking and killing opponents through sound alone.

| Word Count Needed: 2k Words:2011 - Tech Being Trained:
Name: Ash Release: Ash Phoenix Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: A-rank Class: Supplementary Range: Long
Description: The clan member creates a large phoenix out of ash which they are able to ride on as well as use to attack their enemies. This phoenix has the ability to smother up to S-rank flames upon contact. In addition when confronted with a wind technique A-rank and below the dragon takes the attack and disperses it as well as separates into a large amount of Ash before rapidly reforming itself. The phoenix itself can withstand A-Rank techniques which hold no defense piercing and moves at B-Rank speeds lasting for 10 post at D-Rank and adding 5 for each rank above. As for combat ability's the Phoenix can spray most of ash from the material it's body is comprised of suffocating foes within and causing internal damage when inhaled which is a B-Rank.
Name:Ash Release: Ash Mist Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: B-rank(1 Cranks chakra 1 C rank ash materia) Class: Supplementary Range: Mid
Description: The clan member releases a large glob of ash from gathering the ash remaining from their Phoenix fire or any simply lingering arond and releasing it towards the opponent this ash spreads throughout the air creating a dense mist(40 feet)which cannot be seen through and the use of wind techniques only further disperses the ash increasing the magnitude of this attack. Once inhaled it is toxic to the opponent and upon dissolving in their body creates a corrosive acid which eats the opponent from inside dealing a C-Rank of corrosive damage each post they are within unless they posses A rank endurance in which case the damage is a single C-Rank and does not recur
Name:Ash Release: Ash Minions Classification: Genjustu/Kinjustu Rank: B-rank(C Rank chakra C Rank Recoil) Class: Offensive Range: Mid
Description: This genjustu is a Aoe, based which covers 40 feet. Upon entering the area a target will find themselves smelling and seeing ash falling from the sky in a heavy blanket which blacks out everything before twirling into multiple tiny 2-feet tall humanoid creatures which move around seemingly at B-Rank speeds aiming to run into a target dispersing and causing a ash cloud which if then inhaled by the target, though this is all a illusion the target takes 3-D ranks of mental/spiritual hybrid piercing damage each post they are within the genjustu and for each time they are hit by a minion they sustain another 3-D ranks of mental damage. The user can create 2 minions at D-Rank and adding 2 for each rank above
Name: Crashing Ground Classification: Taijutsu Rank: B-rank Class: Supplementary Range: N/A
Description: A fully refined Swift Release. The wielder can move beyond god-like speed only showing their footsteps crashing against the ground. This move is said to only be used the second the wielder grips their hilt giving so they waste no time when they need to attack.
- Spoiler:
The day's objective was training and Velas intended to learn alot so she got up around the time she usually went to sleep and decided it would instead be best to sleep through the day. Which she did do. Either way she was up. Putting a few things into a bag which she had recently bought and deciding to leave her Gunbai and Zanbato back in the inn she would not need them.
She walked out the building to the night air which offered a slight chill. Causing her to shudder before lifting off the ground her feathers extending and allowing her to take flight. She didn't have a proper training area and she supposed. Well that was the perks of being a missing ninja. It took about five minutes to get out of town and to a open and clear enough area that she would not be disturbed.
Once she landed she would take a moment. Pulling put a small notebook and beginning to flip through it's pages. Of course she knew the content within but she liked to check her techniques before learning them. Any slight mistake could always spell death for the person trying to learn the technique in question.
Velas would bite her thumb and slam her hand on the ground and with a poof of smoke Crocus would come forth, she intended on teaching the summon a few things but when she tried to before. Crocus always seemed better off learning on his own. He forumlated his own style well which consist of stealth, fire release and a solid mix of taijustu making him formidable to even the most skilled missing ninja around Velas's own rank. And he would only get better. I mean it was quite scary.
With Crocus summoned, the real work could begin she only had summoned him so she could use him in order to make ash materia faster and thus decreasing the time she would have to spend training the techniques she had planned. She would burst into flames activating her vestments and simply standing there prompting Crocus to do the same they would generate a hefty amount of D-Rank Ash materia in a small amount of time.
Once this was done Velas would begin her handseald the first time she would only practice and then a second. But the third she would actually attempt the technique forming a phoenix out of ash once she finished the seals for the technique. She was not one to fail in learning techniques she made herself but it could happen even if it had not already.
She would inspect the dragon and then hop on it guiding it to move into the sky the main thing she needed to know was how fast the thing could move and when it begin moving it bursted forward with a jolt moving at B-Rank speeds through the air and with it's size it would he a rather stable mount to use. Velas would practice with this technique for a while using the numerous abilitys it holds and learning it durability as well for combat purposes finishing it all before duration ended.
She would plop down looking over the ash leftovers of the phoenix. The technique would come and handy and she was postive she could use it in combat now that she had taken the time to properly learn about it. But she was not done today. She planned on learning more techniques and that meant more time being taken out of her day and possibly a whole day if she took forever.
She would stand wiping a beam of sweat from her brow and pulling out her note book once more skimming through it and looking over the genjustu she had planned to use. She never really practiced such techniques it was more so a natural gift that a ninja either posseses or does not Velas happened to be gifted in deception and weaving lies so it was natural genjustu was one of her natural talents.
Vêlas sat on the small wooden bench with her Gunbai resting on her shoulder, the shade just covering her eyes from the late morning sun. In one hand she held a small book, not the book containing bountys, but a journal of her own writings. In the other, she was putting pencil to paper, carefully writing out words to a screen play of her own design. As she wrote she mumbled out the lines herself, a habit to ensure that what she was writing made sense when spoken aloud.
“For my lady, your beauty holds no words I can attest. But a rogue such as I can only dream of knowing how lips, delicate as petals should ever feel. How to be locked in a daze with such hypnotic gaze, eyes shining silver like the sparkle of moonlight, I am unworthy of such…” She paused, looking at her work once again, her shoulders then slumped and she sighed. It sounded dumb. How was she supposed to know what a hypnotic gaze of romance looked like? It was one of her first attempts at a love story, but for someone who had never fallen in love, she could only imagine how such a feeling felt. It wasn’t very good of a writer to write things they had never experienced, but she just once, wanted to know what it was like to write a love story. They were such romantic tales, of heroes and villains, of tragedy and heartfelt emotion. She loved stories like that, but to write one herself was a task she couldn’t tackle. Was she being too florishy with her words? Was it too cliché? A rogue and a princess, destined to fall in love, yet never truly find happiness. Unhappiness… that was an emotion Vêlas knew all too well.
She closed her journal, using her pencil to mark her place and then she set it down on the bench beside her. She looked up at the scene before her, it was a miracle that she had found such a quiet place in the busy market town. It seemed to be a little area of greenery, grass, trees and flowerbeds, a natural setting out of place in a land of stone walls and stone buildings and barren ground. In the stress that came from the days before counting the two she had ran into who were quite skilled, peace and quiet was what she needed.
She stood up from her spot, Gunbai in hand to keep herself protected from the brightening spring sun. She was feeling a little hungry, it was almost lunchtime, so it was now good to return to the inn she was staying at. Walking away to the main street of the town, she didn’t notice the journal she had left behind…
Present time…
A look of terror filled Vêlas’s eyes. Where could it be?! Panic overtook her as she turned her bag inside out, frantically searching for the journal that wasn’t there.“Where is it? Where is it? Where is it?” It wasn’t like she hadn’t lost track of the thing before. But on her journey to madness, she had been over vigilant on not losing her journal. While it was okay to lose her journal when she was in her home in pandora, it was a small town and she hardly ever left the bookstore so it was always bound to be found by someone, she couldn’t lose it in such a big and wildly different place! The land was filled with thieves and rogues and anyone who could’ve taken her journal!
She decided to calm down a bit, holding her now closed Gunbai tightly to her chest. Think, Vêlas, Think! She screamed internally at herself. When was the last time she had her journal? She had just come from the bookstore, she hadn’t even taken it out then. Before that, she had been wandering the city a bit before she had found the bookstore. And before that she had just eaten lunch at the inn… and before that she had just been writing it in that little park area she had found…
Vêlas gasped aloud, she didn’t remember putting it back into her bag! She had left it on the bench, how forgetful could she be? Jumping up, she rushed through the streets of Gekidougakure, the evening marketplace suddenly filled with a crowd of people. As she dodged past passerby, she yelled out apologies of ‘Excuse me!’ and ‘I’m sorry!’. Weaving her way through, she finally found the small archway that led to the greenery of trees and flowerbeds. In the fading orange light, she spotted the bench that she had been at earlier that day. A moment of relief was all she could allow herself and she ran to it, her sundress and hair trailing behind her. But as she reached the bench, the girl stopped. Her hands once again, gripping her Gunbai to her chest. She blinked once, then twice, her eyes flicking back and forth to search for something that wasn’t there. It wasn’t there. Her journal wasn’t there. Before she realized it, her vision was getting blurry. watery tears began trailing down her cheeks. Where could it be? What was she supposed to do? How could she have lost it, her most precious treasure? How could she have been so careless? She was devastated. She hated herself for being so stupid. She couldn't have lost it, the gift form her mother. She could hear herself sniffing through the tears as she simply stood there and cried.
The thought of losing her, her journal. It wasn’t just the book itself, it wasn’t even that she left her story unwritten. It was that notebook she had kept it for so long, it was a memento of her mother, a blank journal that Aunt Iris had given to her before she set out on her journey. The girl had kept journals before, kept and lost so many, but this one was special. Every page in it was special and she was careful not to waste any of it. She would only write things her mother would be proud of, but now it was gone. She didn’t have anything she could hold left of her.
But then something caught her ears, the sound of a voice from the nearby and the sound of words from a women.
To put it plainly, she didn’t exactly like being called a kid. But to the young woman before her, she must’ve appeared like a lost little girl, crying all alone. She was older than her or at least she looked it, she could tell very easily, though she had a very youthful appearance, cute yet not overbearing. She didn’t blame her for thinking that she could have been younger than she was. Petite, slender, and small, she did look as delicate as doll. She didn’t say anything at first, through the tears it was hard to speak out. She sniffled a bit more, trying to calm herself to some sense before she did attempt to answer him.
And then she saw it. Her journal.
She held it casually at her side along with the bottle. She looked up at the girl in a new light now smelling the distinct smell of liquor and the obvious fact that this women was mosy likely drunk even if Velas could not tell. "The boom your holding is mine can I have it please"
