| "Good." Xan said while leaning backwards using the scabbard of Cockatrice to parry the blow to his neck and sweeping his leg back in order to attempt to trip Zaku and crashing ground speeds. Xan always found it odd when shorter opponent tried to go for his neck, seeing as he was just an inch above seven feet tall he wondered why they didn't aim lower. Still whether the sweep was successful or not Xan would use that sweep to turn himself around before drawing Basilisk and utilizing Iai Draw to slash Zaku if he attempted to flee. If he stood his ground however Xan would attempt an Iai Bash to disarm him again while if he choose to not let up the attack he would instead utilize Iai Slicing in a bid to trade attacks with his apprentice but instead he would dodge at the last second with a Shunpo while still inflicting the slash wound on his apprentice if he moved at Bullet Release or below speeds. It was a game of chicken, prediction and counter prediction but Xan was more focused on the speed at which Zaku was picking up things and waited to see what sort of reply his apprentice had for him. He was trying to condition him into relying on his latent aggressiveness, such ferocity was contrasted by the style he was attempting to teach, similar to how Hiro's passiveness didn't suit his fighting styles either. This way when they sparred they could counter-balance each other and see what they should instead be doing, however what Zaku had going for him was that his aggressive style would serve him well early on against those of less or even equivalent skill than him. - Trying to Teach:
Name: Demon Fang Classification: Kenjutsu Rank: C-rank Class: Offensive Range: Long
Description: The user swings their weapon along the ground creating a compressed wave heading directly for their target. The compressed wave travels at bullet release speeds until it comes in contact with something to explode dealing C-rank physical damage around a 1 foot radius.
Name: Technique Refinement Classification: Taijutsu Original Rank: D Count: 0/5 Current Rank: D Class: Supplementary/Passive Range: Self
Description: Xan has wondered to himself, was it capable of utilizing his abilities as a True All Taijutsu user to train a technique higher than it's capabilities. Apparently it was, and True All Taijutsu users were using it all the time to re-train techniques while officially classifying them as the initial rank they were trained at. Xan on the other hand wanted to do something else, rather than do that he would under-train something, resulting in one of his techniques of a higher rank consuming the number of jutsu slots for it's equivalent in a lower rank. For example if he wanted to train a C-rank technique, it would take the technique slots of 6 D-ranks in exchange. This of course caps at his own rank, with him being unable to learn any techniques which were above his actual rank that is unless this particular technique has been Retrained. Because it is based on a True All Taijutsu philosophy it is only capable for use on physical based techniques only, and is limited to those who are True All Taijutsu users like himself. No of retraining's (New Rank) - Max Rank Refined - Trained Rank (D-rank Slots Consumed) 0 (D) - Equal to User - D (1) 5 (C) - 1-rank Above User - C (6) 10 (B) - 2-ranks Above - B (12) 15 (A) - 3-ranks Above - A (18) 20 (S) - 4-ranks Above - S (24)
