The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol Empty
PostSubject: The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol   The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol Icon_minitime4th January 2016, 10:25 am

Satsuki had heard rumor that the Allied Shinobi Nations had sent over an ambassador to the Shogunate to help foster the peace, though she would have trouble believing that if not for the rumor of who it was. It was apparently a person from Shogunate who had left to the ASN to be with her clan. She was the offspring of the main blacksmith in the Shogunate, but that was all she really knew. Satsuki had made it to the rank of Pilus and knew she had been assigned to Unit II and considering the other members of her unit were also Pilus they had been drafted to join the Alpha Squadron. She had been called to meet with this person because of that, as she led the whole squadron apparently. Normally Satsuki would hate this idea, but this time she did not due to the fact she wanted to become Tribunis Legionis. She would need to form a good connection with this so called ambassador as part of her job in the future, and the more strings she had connected to more secure she could be of her future position in case someone else tried going for the position. After traveling to the meeting place Satsuki would knock on the door and wait.

A muffled come in could be heard from within and upon Satsuki entering she would see a girl probably around ten years of age sitting at the desk with some papers in front of her filling out forms and what not. It was very neat a chunin flak jacket could be seen hanging on a rack along with a Kohaigakure forehead protector while the shelves had color coded scrolls in them. The girl would stop looking up and recognition would flash on her face for a moment before she would place the forms she was filling with the rest. "Hello, you must be Satsuki-kun correct? I'm the one who wrote the letter, you may call me Kukinorite-san, or Jazz-sensei whichever you prefer." Jazz said while beckoning Satsuki to sit and leaning back placing her hands on the table. "Would you like something to drink? I have water or tea, you are probably wondering why you were summoned correct?" I felt that I should meet you in person before the squadron meets as a whole and also to extend a branch of friendship from the Kukinorite Clan to yours. I felt it would be proper to speak to you face to face before I meet with your father, as you being within my squadron will occasionally overlap with your clan duties. I understand the difficulty of balancing ones obligation to one's clan and the military after all I am a heir like yourself." she said and if Satsuki had requested something to drink she would get up to get two glasses and pour said drinks while she spoke.

"So, tell me about yourself, your dreams and future goals, I'm assuming you wish to aim high and it is my duty as your commander to make sure you live long enough to accomplish said dreams. Or do you have questions first?"

The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol   The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol Icon_minitime4th January 2016, 11:40 am

Well her first impression upon seeing the girl? She was... Short. A midget really. She looked really young but spoke with age. So looks were deceiving. She also had a few distinct features to her that were slightly reminiscent of the chakra beasts. It was clear she was a soulless. Or at least had soulless blood in her veins. Still to be her rank and have such fluid speech, she had to be a midget. Satsuki hesitated before taking a seat. "Water," she would reply to the drink inquiry while she listened to the rest of this girls little speech. So, like Satsuki, this girl was an heir and was also potentially using this as a means to secure her position further. Making an ally of a clan's heir is a wise move as they can often influence the head. And with her being from the ASN while the Bishamon had previously been mercenaries would make an easier target to get on the good side as they were never at war with one another. It would be a good choice at aiming for her clan to get a foot further in the door to the Shogunate military.

Satsuki would take her water and take a sip before speaking. She would need to be careful about how she approached this girl as it could mean her future as well. "I thank you for wishing to speak with me. I have heard a few rumors about you and was somewhat curious myself. I have had you came as an Ambassador of the ASN. As for myself, I wish to become Tribunis Legionis. So I feel we will be speaking a lot more in the future outside of the Squadron."

PostSubject: Re: The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol   The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol Icon_minitime4th January 2016, 12:08 pm

Jazz would notice the glance though visibly she gave no indication of annoyance or anything of the sort, she knew she was young in fact she was younger than her outward appearance gave anyone reason to believe it wasn't a bad thing. It just meant most underestimated her though she could see Satsuki didn't let down her guard and remained cautious, Jazz could tell this just by her body language. "Yes, that is true, I arrived about three years ago but I only just was assigned to head a squadron I had taken some time off to frequent the pits, mainly because I wanted to rank up like a Shogunate Soldier even though when I arrived I was a Jonin. It also helped to get a feel of my surroundings and acclimate to the socio-political climate of the Shogunate. So Tribunis Legionis, I see you are right to think that, I guess it was fortunate that I was given command of the Alpha Squadron I. Then again I guessed the assignment was political in nature, after all in addition to you the Sasori, Mishura, Taki & Denkou heirs are members of our squadron." Jazz said while opening a cabinet and pulling out Satsuki's file.

"All of you seem to point towards this Squadron being very influential in the future. I have been brushing up on your file, two affinities in Lightning & Life, Assault with a focus on Taijutsu & Ninjutsu, and you recently completed your rank up into Pilus. Notable techniques include Chidori, and your proficient in the Scorching Leg. Did I miss anything? From what it shows here we'll be a good fit, your skills line up well with some of mine and we share two affinities for lightning. I will have to judge your skills first hand so I can correctly gauge your level and tailor your training specifically to play to your strengths while reducing or eliminating your weaknesses. Do you have any requests in regards to missions, things you aren't willing to do, information you wish to obtain things of that nature. It is to my understanding Squadrons are supposed to be akin to extended family so I want you to know that no topic is off the table."

PostSubject: Re: The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol   The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol Icon_minitime6th January 2016, 7:24 pm

Satsuki would take another sip of water before setting her drink down and crossing her legs. She wore her casual attire today as it was supposed to be an off day. "My skills are that yes, but lately I have been turning my focus inward a bit more. Along with scorch release I plan to expand on my clone jutsu as well as perfect shurikenjutsu style akin to the game soccer. I have found why do the dirty work myself and why get dirty doing it when I could easily avoid it using clones and a ranged fighting style? Other than that, as long as I'm not working with a Mikaboshi anything is open. I'd prefer any potential enemies that can be taken alive to be given the chance to serve me. Of course it isn't a perfect system yet but soon I hope to create a way to make it mandatory. So that they cant try to turn on us. Also, any missions with Mikaboshi as the target also take priority for me."

The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol   The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol Icon_minitime6th January 2016, 8:42 pm

Jazz would nod, making note of it and updating Satsuki's file accordingly she was knowledgeable in a clone based fighting style and the game soccer the former due to seeing it being preformed while the latter because it was one of the sports the civilian members clan was into. Sure not as much as track and field, or skating but it was in their top five for sure. "Interesting, the Bishamon are rather dexterous with their legs correct? Interesting, I myself utilize a fighting style completely comprised of kicks, perhaps I can share my insight regarding using them in regards to projectiles. Your requests have been noted, do you have a training schedule? I wish to know so I can co-ordinate well with the others, considering in addition to you there are five other Pilus and two centurion I'm responsible for. I prefer to devote at least one day for each of you, for one on one tutoring you are the first I'm approaching so pick a day." Jazz said looking up from making her notes at Satsuki.

"I'll co-ordinate with your Unit Leader for the Unit training sessions I will observe, it is important to me that you all are capable both individually and as a group. After all a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link." she said, hoping the girl understood what she was implying. Being skilled was all well and good, but ultimately if her goal was to become Tribunis Legionis then she would have to learn how to lead others. There was a difference from just having lackeys who served you, and she was appealing to the rumored Bishamon pride and sense of superiority. If Satsuki was in fact so superior then it only stood to reason that those on her squad had to be up to par, if she alone was shining while the others were dim then how could she be the "best" if surrounded by losers.

Satsuki was not very excited at the offer but she wouldn't let it show. "Besides clan duties during the week I usually like afternoons to myself. I also like a day to rest before having to go through the repetetive process of school so I would say Saturdays would be best for me. It will give me an opportunity to rest the day after on Sunday." She would understand what she had said, as even though her clan did think that way they weren't idiots. They were considered a top clan for a reason. "Indeed. However, if a link is too weak to my satisfaction I usually prefer severing that link. After all, why try to fix an old, deformed chain link when you can just get a better one." It was true, as that was how the slaves often worked in the Bishamon. And being in a nation like the Shogunate it wasn't like there was a shortage on soldiers.

PostSubject: Re: The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol   The Peerless Prodigy and The Princess - Sheol Icon_minitime9th January 2016, 12:22 pm

Jazz has gotten a pretty good understanding of what made the girl tick, which was good that was the whole purpose of the meeting in the first place. "Well since you've been promoted to Pilus school is now optional, though it is interesting that you would want to keep up with civilian education." Jazz said marking down Saturday as Satsuki's time period. "Hn. was the only reply to Satsuki's second comment she remembered her own link that had tried to be severed. No more like it had yet she was still clinging on to the hope that the baka would one day wake up from whatever mind affecting thing and she could have a team again. Ada was easier to gauge even though she knew he was upset with her for leaving even though he didn't show it, both her and Ka had left their homeland for reasons though hers was a far more legal thing. Still with views like that the girl would survive well, the only person one could rely on was themselves and the only things that lasted forever were in Jazz's opinions one's own creations. Puppets never betrayed the puppeteer so it was only understandable why someone like her would prefer slaves over comrades. Pity that she hadn't encountered her sooner that type of view made for a good kugujutsu specialist that sort of callous detached outlook where all but oneself were just tools to be used, guided and bent to one's will.

"So I take it by that comment you are not close to anyone on your unit yet then? I see, are there any techniques you are specifically interested in beyond that which you said you wanted to work on in the mean time? she said curious to Satsuki's own position on her unit leader and members while likewise using the other question to figure out potential avenues of growth. It was imperative that she got a complete picture before she began to lead she wouldn't want to miss something because she didn't ask enough questions or study those under her command, at the very least she would not be like her own inattentive absent sensei.

Satsuki would stop and think for a moment, wondering what more she could want to learn. "Hmm... I've always liked the idea of Binding. I cannot learn it yet but according to my uncle there are techniques to bind Bijuu and Jinchuuriki if one can obtain Light Release. I am considered special among even my own clan as I have potential for both Light as well as control over my clans infamous switch. Other than that, in Tartaros I fought this one Entity and they used something that caused their clone to explode. It devastated me. I think with my style it would be useful," she would say thinking about how much better some fights would have been. Like against the gladiator with the massive ball chain. She could have detonated the clone to ensure her victory instead of taking a chance at failure.

Jazz listened making noted of Satsuki's interestings writing it down, it was mainly for show she didn't forget anything she experienced but her subordinate didn't need to know about her perfect memory, only her clan knew while her former teammates probably had an inkling more so Ka than Ada after that fight they had. "Binding and suppression juinjutsu is also useful in that regards if you got into it, as for the clone technique, a shadow clone variant, when I head to the library I'll take out the scroll for you." Jazz said brushing over the fact that Satsuki hadn't made any comments in regards to her unit. Perhaps they didn't have a relationship at all, it was quite unlike Unit I where they at least grew up together, Unit II seemed to be cobbled together though each of them seemed to have some connection with the Blades. She would have to investigate more still, she had gotten the info she needed and some insight into Satsuki's personality. "Unless you have anything you wish to ask or talk about, I think we should conclude this meeting know that my doors are open whenever and any information you think the higher up should be informed on should be relayed to me first." she said while leaning back and putting the folder away in her drawer.

"It was nice to meet you, Satsuki-kun.

Satsuki didn't get up from her seat. Instead she cleared her throat to get Jazz's undivided attention. "Actually... Being the future Tribunis Legionis and you having come from the ASN, as well as being the squadron leader, I would like to know more about the person I will be taking orders from as well as who I may be working with in the future. So tell me a bit of yourself, your quirks, dreams, history. I'd like to come to understand you better. What makes Jazz Kukinorite, Jazz Kukinorite?"

Jazz would repress the urge to raise an eyebrow she was interested now? That was good at least a two way street of communication so she didn't feel like she was the only one trying to make this conversation work, still she would humor her subordinate for now. "Hmm, well I suppose I tell you a bit about myself, I'll be turning 5 in six more months I suppose my quirk would be my interest in puppetry which is also my hobby I can spend countless hours working on puppets or searching for new raw materials to incorporate into their designs. I don't have dreams, only goals to dream is to imply one's aspirations are fantasy, whereas a goal is something one can achieve with the proper motivation. I achieved one my goals three years ago, my next is simply to become strong enough to reach S-rank so I can take over leadership of my clan from my mother before my next birthday. Once I do I wish to bring my clan to increased prosperity and ensure relations between the Shogunate & Allied Shinobi Nations do not degenerate to the point of war." Jazz said with a smirk.

"My history, I'm sure by Bingo Book entry has much of it, I was promoted to jonin before my first year of age, and decided to become an ambassador to the Shogunate shortly after that. I spent the next 3 years doing what I mentioned earlier. Oh and I have a marriage contract with the Ningyo Clan, other than that nothing much to tell." Jazz said trailing off to stare at the girl opposite her. She had other things for sure but they either didn't concern Satsuki in the slightest or weren't things to be shared regardless, everyone had their private things though she had given enough information that matched what she gave to everyone outside of her clan.
