A Hunter-nin's arsenal mostly includes some B-ranks and useful lower rank jutsu, a large selection of powerful A-ranks and S-ranks which are the majority of their offensive and defensive attacks and at least 2 SS-rank attacks which are used for dire situations or to assassinate powerful targets before they get a chance to act. Medical Ninja (Medic-Nin):- Spoiler:
This is a special rank which is extremely important to the village as a whole. While the other ranks excel in combat, Medic-Nin are the life savers and the ones who patch everyone up so they can continue fighting. They are the healers of the village who provide medicine, antidotes, offer consulting to shinobi, diagnose and identify new diseases as well as a host of other things that contribute to the overall health of the village. Medic-Nin often have powerful B-A rank medical techniques, with most having a couple S ranks and even SS-ranks in their medical arsenal, in the most powerful ones they usually have a single SSS-rank technique which is the culmination of their medical experience and intellect. However in recent times their have been a rise of Combat Medic-Nin who actively participate and assist shinobi, on the field. | Missing Nin InformationMissing Nin are Shinobi who have defected from their villages for various reason and because of that are recorded in Bingo Books in order to preserve village secrets. Missing Nin are usually hunted by members of their village Hunter Nin in particular however they may also be hunted by members of their clan if they were part of one. The Lifestyle of a Missing Nin is rather brutal considering they are left on their own however they have their own methods of surviving in the shinobi world and are free to travel wherever they want of course at the constant risk of being hunted down and killed. Missing Nin Rank InformationMissing Nin on the site have an equivalence to the normal Shinobi ranks on the forum in addition missing nin have a sort of notoriety system which involves them having to kill a certain number of targets to fulfill their rank up requirements. These can be PC or Npc either or in addition while hunting down others their topics may be dropped in by Hunter Nin within the Land that they are currently hunting in. D-rank- Spoiler:
D-rank missing-nin are academy level, however they have the skill set ranging from an average Academy student to an Elite genin. D-rank missing nin are able to travel alone or in groups and may even apprentice under a more powerful missing nin in squads of up to 2 if apprenticing under a B-rank missing nin, up to 3 if apprenticing under an A-rank missing nin and up to 5 if apprenticing under a S-rank missing nin. D-rank missing nin are able to jump into mission threads of C-B rank without warning so long as they were in the area before hand.
In order for a D-rank missing-nin to rank up to C-rank in notoriety they must kill 3 C-rank opponents or 5 D-Rank opponents. Note killing higher rank opponents won't count towards future rank ups however yield higher rewards that being said one must fill their exact quota if they wish to rank up. Or they can complete 10 D-ranks 5 C-ranks & 1 B-rank mission.
C-rank- Spoiler:
C-rank missing-nin are genin level, however they have the skill set ranging from an average genin to an elite Chunin. C-rank missing nin are able to travel alone or in groups and may even apprentice under a more powerful missing nin in squads of up to 1 if apprenticing under a B-rank missing nin, up to 2 if apprenticing under an A-rank missing nin and up to 4 if apprenticing under a S-rank missing nin. C-rank missing nin are able to jump into mission threads of C-A rank without warning so long as they were in the area before hand.
In order for a C-rank missing-nin to rank up to B-rank in notoriety they must kill 3 B-rank opponents or 5 C-Rank opponents. Note killing higher rank opponents won't count towards future rank ups however yield higher rewards that being said one must fill their exact quota if they wish to rank up. Or they can complete 10 C-ranks 5 B-ranks & 1 A-rank mission.
B-rank- Spoiler:
B-rank missing-nin are Chunin level, however they have the skill set ranging from an average Chunin to an elite Tokubetsu Jonin. B-rank missing nin typically travel alone however they have also been known to take on apprentices consisting of two D-rank missing nin or 1 C-rank missing nin to assist them in their endeavors. B-rank missing nin are able to jump into mission threads of C-S rank without warning so long as they were in the area before hand.
In order for a B-rank missing-nin to rank up to A-rank in notoriety they must kill 3 A-rank opponents or 5 B-Rank opponents. Note killing higher rank opponents won't count towards future rank ups however yield higher rewards that being said one must fill their exact quota if they wish to rank up. Or they can complete 10 B-ranks 5 A-ranks & 1 S-rank mission. In addition upon reaching B-rank missing nin status one is given the option of the Medical Path which involves the same requirements to get to A-rank as normal missing nin however 1 of the missing nin's jutsu must be Mystical Healing Palm technique.
A-rank- Spoiler:
A-rank missing-nin are Jonin level, however they have the skill set ranging from an average Jonin to an elite Hunter Nin. A-rank missing nin typically travel alone however they have also been known to take on apprentices consisting of three D-rank missing nin or 2 C-rank missing nin to assist them in their endeavors. A-rank missing nin are able to jump into mission threads of B-S rank without warning so long as they were in the area before hand.
In order for an A-rank missing-nin to rank up to S-rank in notoriety they must kill 3 S-rank opponents or 5 A-Rank opponents. Note killing higher rank opponents won't count towards future rank ups however yield higher rewards that being said one must fill their exact quota if they wish to rank up. Or they can complete 10 A-ranks 5 S-ranks & 1 SS-rank mission. Those of the Medical Path lose the ability to utilize Ninjutsu upon ranking up to S-rank and if they rejoin villages they are labelled as Combat Medical Nin or a rank equal to that.
S-rank- Spoiler:
S-rank missing-nin are Head Jonin level however they have the skill set ranging from an average Head Jonin to a Kage. S-rank missing nin are among the upper echelons of skill within the shinobi world and are only dealt with by experienced groups of hunter nin. S-rank missing nin rarely if ever travel in groups of similar strength as them preferring either solitude or are known to take on apprentices consisting of five D-rank missing nin, four C-rank missing nin or three B-rank missing nin. S-rank missing nin are able to jump into mission threads of B-SS rank without warning so long as they were in the area before hand.
In order for an S-rank missing-nin to rank up to Z-rank in notoriety they must either complete in at least 1 Plot and either: be the leader of a complete Missing Nin Organization, Kill 3 Elite S-rank Level Opponents, kill 1 "Z"-rank Level opponent or preform enough acts in order to cause their Bingo Book entry to increase to Z-rank. Note killing higher rank opponents won't count towards future rank ups however yield higher rewards that being said one must fill their exact quota if they wish to rank up. Or they can complete 10 S-ranks 5 SS-ranks & 1 SSS-rank mission.
In addition one of the perks of being an S-rank missing nin is the ability to establish your own minor village instead of creating your own Organization, when this is done rather than stay a missing nin your character is converted to Kage rank. Once the village is established the Missing nin can no longer be hunted by hunter nin lest an village war break out. However the villages made by missing nin are smaller than the main villages and can only have a max of 1 Elite S-rank (Kage), 3 A-ranks, 5 B-ranks and 20 C-rank Prodigy Npc Shinobi max available at one time (PC's & War Npcs don't follow said restrictions). S-rank missing nin can also make their own missions for their villages in addition missing nin villages do not receive War Npc's. Creating a Village as an S-rank missing nin causes one to lose all extra character slots until said character dies.
Z-rank- Spoiler:
Z-rank Missing Nin are universally accepted as Kage Level at the bare minimum however often they are typically above Kage level especially if they are in control of other S-rank Missing Nin in their organization. Z-rank missing nin are always within organizations and have a notoriety which makes them known throughout the Shinobi World as a result they can be considered major powers when they do exist being enough to tip the balance in the sway of one of the Major factions if persuaded to side with them. Z-rank missing nin can create organizations which are filled with all S-rank missing nin (NPC & PC). Z-rank missing nin are able to jump into mission threads of A-SS rank without warning so long as they were in the area before hand.
In order for an Z-rank missing-nin to rank up to X-rank in notoriety in addition to Awakening/Possessing something Equal to that; they must either complete 1 Plot and create a minor village after doing such while still maintaining leadership over their complete missing nin organization, Kill 5 Elite S-rank Level Opponents, kill 3 "Z"-rank Level opponents, Kill 1 "X"-rank Level opponent or preform enough acts in order to cause their Bingo Book entry to increase to X-rank. Finally they can complete a total of 15 S-ranks, 10 SS-ranks & 3 SSS-rank missions to firmly establish their claim to said rank without the infamy associated with bloodshed.
In addition just like S-rank Missing Nin they can create minor hidden villages, these are larger than those created by an S-rank missing nin and one will sacrifice half of their character slots to do so until that character dies. These villages can only have 1 "Z"-rank (Ex- Missing Nin Kage), 2 Elite S-ranks, 3 S-ranks, 5 A-ranks, 15 B-ranks and 20 C-rank Prodigy Npc Shinobi max available at one time (PC's & War Npcs don't follow said restrictions). These villages are comparable to Minor hidden villages in size.
Z-rank Missing-Nin Tech Limit 55 D-ranks 45 C-ranks 35 B-ranks 25 A-ranks 15 S-ranks 8 SS-ranks 4 SSS-ranks 1 Z-rank (Max out Jutsu Limit & No other Character Possesses Z-rank)
X-rank- Spoiler:
X-rank Missing Nin are the most feared individuals outside of factions within the Shinobi World, this is due to not only their individual skill but likewise the rarity of such a level due to the actions which can lead one to be declared "X-rank". All X-rank Missing Nin have a "flee on sight" order and some even have special additional orders such as "flee on detection or "do not combat without stationed army" attached to their bingo book to alert others of their skill. X-rank missing nin are able to jump into mission threads of A-SSS rank without warning so long as they were in the area before hand.
Unlike S or Z-rank Missing Nin they are not reverted to Shinobi Rankings all the time, rather an X-rank Missing Nin is able to create their own faction one example being Carmen who created the Pandora Empire. Unlike the others once one is X-rank and possess a village it doesn't take any of their character slots it simply makes them unable to have any of their other characters be promoted to KoiKage/Legate Legionis/God of Pandora or their equivalents in rank (In addition to their Z & Elite S-rank lower variants). Villages under the control of an X-rank missing nin if they chose to remain using the Shinobi faction system are comparable to Major Hidden Villages in size.
"X"-rank Missing Nin Technique Limit 60 D-ranks 50 C-ranks 40 B-ranks 35 A-ranks 25 S-ranks 15 SS-ranks 5 SSS-ranks 1 Z-rank (Max out Jutsu Limit & No other Character Possesses Z-rank)
Missing Nin PrivilegesBesides the obvious ones being autonomy and being able to jump in on missions on random missing nin also have a few other benefits over normal Shinobi. The first being that Missing-nin of any rank can join any village except their original village, in which they will be protected by that village but the will not be taken out of the bingo book so hunter nin of their original village can still hunt them without consequence. This however changes if said missing nin establishes a clan in their village of occupation which causes them to be hunted at the risk of starting a village war. Free Lance Missing-nin can be hired for missions within villages and gain double the normal reward upon completing it. However while doing these missions Tokubetsu Jonin-Hunter Nin can randomly drop in at any time as long as they are within the area before hand. In addition Npc T. Jonin can randomly drop in during A-S rank missions while Npc Hunter Nin can randomly drop in during SS-SSS-rank missions. Missing-nin OrganizationsMissing-nin can create organizations which can be full of either Npc's or other PC's which help them on missions in pairs of two or can assist with defending themselves. Once this is made the Missing-nin gets their own secret base. The members of this organization typically follow orders from the leader depending on how strict or lax said leader is towards his/her members, failure to comply results in punishment or ejection from the group which results in the ejected member now being targeted by their former allies. The way to add these members however is by intercepting missions as well as going on special Missing Nin missions where fellow missing nin can join your organization so long as you meet there requirements. This only goes for Npc Missing Nin however as PC missing nin simply have to meet up with one of the organizations representatives before meeting the leader of the organization in order to be allowed in after fulfilling whatever qualifications the leader demands. In addition Missing Nin organizations do not count as "official" organizations so members can still belong to the various organizations in the main villages despite having additional hunting from members of the group they used to belong to. There can only be 11 members of your Organization at one time (PC and NPC & excluding Leader which makes 12) and in order to get a new member you must kill or eject of one of your old ones. PC members can either be equal or a lower rank as the leader of the organization. PC's a higher rank can not join organizations where the leader is a lower rank than them however they can fight the current leader for the position of leader. There is a max of 10 Npc's the leader can recruit to aid their organization however only 2 can join at the same rank as the organization leader, 4 can join one rank lower than the leader and the remaining 4 are two rank's lower than the leader. These Npc's can be ranked up just like any other missing nin through completing successful kills during missions & regardless of what they were previously follow the Prodigy NPC system in regards to their growth while in the organization. Members of the same Missing Nin Organizations travel in pairs when completing missions. However they can receive back up from their allies and up to 2 additional members of the organization can randomly jump into the topic as long as they were in the area before hand and it is in times of peace. In war times the only limit to the amount of allied back up members of the organization can receive is limited to how much manpower the organization has to spare and it is not unheard of to see all Twelve members assisting each other within a war topic. Missing Nin Villages/HideoutsHideouts exist for S-rank missing nin who possess an Organization, these are special areas which are only visible to fellow missing nin and are some of the only places outside of the Land of Madness that a missing nin can post freely without getting jumped by Hunter Nin. In addition it is also places that missing nin meet up for alliances and what not. Upon becoming at least S-rank missing-nin you can obtain a village and get members at the cost of taking away one of the hideouts from the general missing nin public and claiming it as your own. These members will be NPC's completely created and controlled by you. Villages made by missing nin have limits once that limit is reached in order to get new members one must kill off the old ones to make space. Every time a S-rank missing nin or above successfully completes an equal rank mission they will be able to choose one out of these choices for people who will join them. In addition before they become a X-rank missing nin each time they rank up they can gain these however the Npc missing nin gained are either drafted into the organization (if slots are open) or join their base (if available) -1 Npc who is equal rank to you (Caps at S-rank) -2 Npcs who are 1 rank lower than you (Caps at S-rank) -3 Npcs who are 2 ranks lower than you -4 Npcs who are 3 ranks lower than you -5 Npcs who are 4 ranks lower than you *NOTE: Be aware that this only counts for the NPC's joining you. If a PC wants to join you they don't follow any of this. See Alternate Character Information for the amount of starting techniques Missing Nin Npc start with. Missing Nin LimitsWe are only allowing people to start as D-rank Missing Nin unless one is already part of a village and ICly defects then they can be whatever rank they were prior to leaving the village. Upon defecting from a village an individual gains a Bingo Book Entry however it may only be complete up to whatever is reported by those who witnessed their defection or any survivors of their actions post missing-nin. *********************** - Indra T. In order to qualify for the Jonin exams a Chunin/T. Jonin must first complete 5 C-ranks, 3 B-rank missions & 1 A-rank mission however upon failure they must obtain another set in order to qualify to take the Jonin exams again. The other way is to become a self-taught Medical Apprentice. After learning Mystical Healing Palm and doing 3 C-Rank and 1 B-Rank mission, they can become a self-certified Apprentice. When this is done they are required to go the medical route and must become an elite B or A-Rank if all of their options have failed. However in return for this, they are able to learn D and C-Rank medical techniques and a single B-Rank medical technique. Once they deem themselves ready and have done 5 C-Rank, 3 B-Rank and 1 A-Rank mission, they can put themselves forth for the exam. The Exam has three options with only Combat Med Nin able to take the third option. - Option One:
The most common form of medical examination. This one involves the Apprentice being put into a medical emergency. Anywhere between three and five people with simulated injuries will be spread out around them, the Apprentice must find each injured person, diagnose their injuries and then do their best to stabilise the person. These injuries can be anything from poisons to lacerations to extreme burns and the Apprentice must use all of their knowledge to lessen the burden the injured party is under.
Death of more than half the injured people will result in instant failure of the examination. Stabilisation of all injured parties will result in instant pass.
- Option Two:
This method is a simulated Assassination and Counter Assassination examination.
Assassination - In this scenario, the Apprentice must use all of their knowledge and training to hunt down a High Value Target and assassinate them, making it seem as much like natural causes as possible and without being detected, or if detected, without any alarms being sounded. There is usually no set time limit but the longer the assassination takes, the harder it will be to get to the HVT.
Counter Assassination - On the opposite side, the Apprentice must protect their HVT for a set time limit without letting them succumb to assassination. If the attack does occur but the Apprentice is able to find the assailant, fight them off and then rescue and stabilise the HVT then this will also count as a potential pass depending on how they achieved such things.(Annihilation of the surrounding square mile would constitute a fail, for example).
- Option Three(CMN Only):
This option is known as the War Time Medic Scenario. In this scenario the Apprentice will be taking on the role of the Medical professional of a squad. They must create a small squadron of five NPCs (Using NPC creation rules) and escort them through a warzone to a designated area. During this they will be assailed by other squads and they must successfully fight off or evade these squads while keeping their own alive. The loss of three or more members of the squad results in an instant failure while the survival of all five with no debilitating injuries is classified as an instant success.
When making a squad, a mix of the following options is allowed: 1 Tokubetsu Jonin 3 Chunin 5 Genin
Clans available may only be those that are part of the Medical Apprentice's village.
The Medical Examination may only be taken twice at either Chunin or T. Jonin rank. If the hopeful passed it before on their first try, then it can be offered again at the Medical-Nin Rank albeit with increased difficulty in order to obtain the much coveted Combat Medical-Nin Rank.
- Hunter Nin Placement Test:
In order to qualify for the Hunter Nin Placement Test one must complete 5 C-rank, 3 B-rank missions, 2 A-rank missions & 1 S-rank mission. Upon failure one must complete a second set in order to qualify for taking the Hunter Nin Exams over.
The Hunter Nin Exams can be taken only twice at chunin rank or once at jonin rank and failure results in a permanent ban from being able to rank up to Hunter Nin with that character. The reasons for this is that Hunter Nin are the elite and as such will not simply take in those with repeated failures. The mission is simple the hunter nin applicant undergoes a simulation of a hunt of a missing nin equal in rank to the user at Chunin rank. While at Jonin rank the hunter nin applicant actually goes on a hunt of a missing nin equal in rank to them. The difference is obvious if you die in the simulation you are fine however if you die in the actual hunt your character is dead.
- Probationary Promotions:
Rarely when an shinobi or kunoichi shows exemplary talent during an exam they may be awarded a probationary promotion instead of being outright skipping a rank during a promotion. What this entails is that the individual shows the qualities to warrant such a promotion but lacks the experience to earn the promotion itself. A probationary promotion gives the following benefits: 1. Boosted Reserves (See Rank Key in the Reserves section for more information) 2. Able to take (including Solo) missions of the rank they are to be promoted to. 3. Benefit from the Elite Halved Solo Mission Training for the duration of their probationary promotion. 4. Increased authority outranking Elites of the Same Rank however are outranked by those of the rank they are to be promoted to. 5. Furthermore if the rank is capable of leading squads they are able to take these squads on missions that their current rank are capable of going on (including soloing). While it does have numerous benefits it also comes with restrictions based on the exam and the probationary promotions it is capable of giving out as well as the number of successful missions required to earn said official promotion. Genin Exams: - Probationary Chunin (3 D-rank, 2 C-rank & 1 B-rank Missions Req. to be officially promoted) - Probationary T. Jonin (5 D-rank, 3 C-rank & 2 B-rank Missions Req.) Chunin Exams: - Probationary Jonin (3 C-rank, 2 B-rank & 1 A-rank Missions Req.) T. Jonin Placement Test - Probationary Hunter Nin (3 B-rank, 2 A-rank & 1 S-rank Mission Req.) - Probationary Medical Nin (3 B-rank, 2 A-rank & 1 S-rank Mission Req.) - Probationary Hunter-Nin Captain (5 A-rank, 3 S-rank & 2 SS-rank Missions Req.) -Probationary Elite Medic Nin (3 A, 2 S & 1 SS-rank Missions Req.) Medical Nin Examination -Probationary Combat Medical Nin (5 A-rank, 3 S-rank & 2 SS-rank Mission Req.) *Note: 1. If the shinobi/kunoichi has successfully completed doubled the required missions to earn their promotion prior to obtaining the Probationary Promotion they will be deemed experienced and will bypass the mission requirement to earn their probationary promotion. This allows them to be immediately promoted to said rank skipping this process entirely. 2. If there are any current shinobi/kunoichi who have earned the probationary promotion then they are immediately promoted to their official rank if their Village (or the ASN) enters a war. This promotion can however be taken back if they do not successfully complete half of the mission requirements the probationary promotion required to earn their official promotion. 3. A former Elite shinobi can potentially obtain a Probationary promotion if they have successfully complete quadruple the required missions to earn their promotion if they were given a probationary promotion. The result is that they must still fulfill the normal requirements however when Soloing a mission their word count required is Quartered for the duration of their probationary period. Village Divisions- General Forces:
The General Forces are those who do no belong to any other division which typically includes those either in charge of the Academy or are leading squads of Genin in addition to those too low rank to belong to the various divisions such as Genin & Academy Students.
- Hunter Corps:
The Hunter Corps is comprised of those on the fast track to becoming Hunter-Nin as well as those who enforce village security, it is further divided into two departments which are both crucial to the overall stability of a Hidden Village. - Torture & Interrogation Department:
The Torture & Interrogation Department is a special division within the Hunter Corps which is dedicated to the extraction of information from individuals typically prisoners through various means, whether they are living or dead. There are various sub-divisions within this department which each specialize in various things such as the autopsying of corpses, the extraction of information using unique techniques, torturing individuals who are resistant to conventional methods of interrogation etc. This department works closely with the Prison of a village.
This Department is typically comprised of: Elite Jonin, Division Jonin & T. Jonin The Head of this Division can be a member of their Village's Special Organization & are a member of their Village Council.
- Military Police Department:
The Military Police Department is as the name suggests — the judicial division of a village's Hunter Corps which constantly patrol residential districts and training grounds in search of criminal behavior. The purpose of this department is to maintain the law in the village, and they are typically regarded as "elite shinobi who monitor fellow shinobi". They however do not have the authority of arresting ANBU without a warrant, as ANBU directly report to the ANBU Commander & the Kage of the village. In the event of wrong doing however their authority supersedes ranking structure allowing them to detain shinobi of any rank albeit obviously excluding the Head-Nin, ANBU Commander & of course the Kage.
This Department is typically comprised of: Hunter-Nin Captain, Hunter-Nin & Chunin The Head of this Division can be a member of their Village's Special Organization & are a member of their Village Council.
- Medic Corps:
The Medic Corps is comprised of those on the fast track to becoming Medic-Nin as well as those who aid in village maintenance, it is further divided into two departments which are both crucial to the overall stability of a Hidden Village. - Logistics & Support Department:
The Logistics & Support Department is in charge of maintaining the detection barrier surrounding a village, detecting intruders, and intercepting them. In addition their duties also include deciphering secret codes and messages being in charge of securing scrolls containing almost all of the secret codes used in missions and message delivery. They work closely courier shinobi and alternatively are relied upon heavily by the Kage in organizing and securing information within the village.
This Department is typically comprised of: Combat Medic-Nin, C. Instructors & E. Genin The Head of this Division can be a member of their Village's Special Organization & are a member of their Village Council.
- Medical Department:
The Medical Department is a subdivision of the Medic Corps. These shinobi generally work at the hospital full-time, and their roles are similar to those of field medical-nin in that they are deployed to aid the comrades who are out on missions. However, unlike field medical-nin that normally get assigned to a four-man-team to serve in that capacity, they move as an independent team comprised solely of shinobi with medical training. In addition they are responsible for the creation and distribution of medical supplies within the village.
This Department is typically comprised of: Elite Medic-Nin, Medic-Nin & Genin (Medic) The Head of this Division can be a member of their Village's Special Organization and are a member of their Village Council
- ANBU Corps:
The ANBU Corps which is a special assassination and tactics division which serve as covert operatives that are dispatched by their village leader (or if available ANBU Commander). They serve to do black-ops operations and missions which are left off the record to further their respective villages ambitions. In addition they are in charge with village equipment & weapon development which are watered down for the availability of the general forces. There are apparently no true ranks within the ANBU; team leadership and hierarchy seem to be based on merit and mission requirements allowing a flexible structure which can be altered in the field. The leaders are called team leaders (Buntaichō), a position held in high regard, whereas their former rank (Non ANBU) merely designates available techniques due to missions determining chakra reserves. Thus those who join later will have more techniques available but will have the same reserves as those who join earlier, furthermore it allows those who leave to rejoin the other corps with a single rank promotion (For example, someone joins the ANBU as a T. Jonin, if they leave they can become either a Jonin, Medical Nin, Hunter Nin, Elite Medical Nin or an Elite Jonin as all of the following are A-rank.) The ANBU as a result is very selective in it's choices and it's membership is an absolute secret with it's members receiving special juinjutsu tattoos which prevent them from disclosing their this corps secrets and are not visible by others besides fellow holders of said juinjutsu & always wear their ANBU Mask which is decorated according to their codename. Due to this they are handpicked by their Village Leader (or ANBU Commander) and they are expected to destroy their bodies in the event that they are captured due to many of their missions being "unsanctioned" and potentially incriminating their village in the eyes of the public. One can have only two tenures of being an ANBU if one retires and rejoins then the second time they join they enlist in it permanently. Each Village's ANBU have a specific theme: Dipugakure = ANBU have aquatic animal code-names & Buntaichō have aquatic mythical animal code-names. Hakagakure = ANBU have terrestrial animal code-names & Buntaichō have terrestrial mythical animal code-names. Nazogakure = ANBU have plant code-names & Buntaichō have mythical plant code-names. Kohaigakure = ANBU have insect code-names & Buntaichō have mythical insect code-names. Mahougakure = ANBU have aerial animal codenames & Buntaichō have aerial mythical animal code-names. Each ANBU Commander has a specific code-name unique to them after which upon replacement said code-name is retired along with their ANBU Mask to be no longer used by any other member of ANBU. This Department is typically comprised of: ANBU Commander, ANBU Buntaichō & ANBU The Head of this Division can be a member of their Village's Special Organization and are a member of their Village Council. - Kage Guard Platoon:
The Kage Guard Platoon are an elite group of shinobi who are apart of the ANBU Corps however unlike the rest of their compatriots their identities are known. As a result they have official ranks within the ranking system of the village and the amount of them determines their individual skill. The members of the Kage Guard Platoon are expected to not only protect but likewise lay their life in the protection of their Kage if the situation requires it to an even greater degree than any other shinobi. Their tenure is for "life" as upon becoming less able they "die" honorably in the field and live the rest of their natural life in the ANBU Corps. In comparison to normal ANBU those within the Kage Guard Platoon are considered to be Buntaichō upon interacting with other ANBU however in the event of an ANBU Buntaichō being present they will be under their command.
Kage Guard Platoon are comprised of either 3 Members (Elite Jonin) or 5 Members (Division Jonin) with each Kage choosing which they wish to have upon their inauguration.
Those within this Division can be members of their Village's Special Organization.
Other CorpsThere are two other corps of shinobi forces one of which is informal whereas the other is a formal organization that is outside of the jurisdiction of the Kage of the Land. - Reserve Corps:
The Reserve Corps, also known as the Reserve Forces is an informal corps given to those with the designation of being retired. This designation can be assigned to any who have been crippled in the line of duty, are too old to preform their duties at a reliable capacity anymore or can be applied to kunoichi who choose to remain within the village in order to rear children too young to attend the academy. However even though they no longer go on missions and the like they can be reactivated in times of crisis with them being re-assimilated into whatever division they were a member of previously or being put int he general forces.
This Department is typically comprised of: Ex-Shinobi of all Ranks The Head of these corps are usually an adviser to the Kage and are a member of their Village Council.
- Guardian Shinobi:
Guardian Shinobi are the only division within The Republic of Five which isn't beholden to a Kage, this is because they are under the command of the only authority which supersedes that of a Kage namely that of the Daimyo of the entire Land. There are five Daimyo each the rulers of the five lands of the republic and are important figures in regards to maintaining the stability of the Hidden Village within their land's borders. Each Daimyo has a collection of Guardian Shinobi who are their elite bodyguards who are easily identifiable by the sash that they wear and enter a tenure of service during which upon completion they can choose to remain permanently under the Daimyo's service until their death or retirement if they can train their replacement. They have varying amounts but the commonality between all of them is their loyalty to the Daimyo first and foremost even to the point of giving up their life for him or her. Each Daimyo has a specific number with the lower the number the higher the individual strength of each member, regardless all Guardian Shinobi are considered to be elites with their rank progression being halted until they leave. However those that choose to stay permanently have the WC for awakening halved, which they can use to obtain their maximum amount of specialization slots upon attaining it.
No. - Jutsu Limit (Reserves) 6 - Elite Med-Nin (Elite A) 8 - Elite Jonin (Elite A) 10 - Division Jonin (Elite B) 12 - Chunin Instructor (Elite B)
Daimyo - Number of Guardian Shinobi Deep Daimyo - 6 Graves Daimyo - 10 Anguish Daimyo - 8 Paradox Daimyo - 10 Malice Daimyo - 12
