Roads of Destiny [Solo Training] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Roads of Destiny [Solo Training]   Roads of Destiny [Solo Training] Icon_minitime28th August 2013, 5:59 pm

Spoiler:

Roxas sat on top of the Shogunate Shinobi Academy's rooftop staring off at the sky. It had been only a week since he had started here and yet he still felt like he had not even been there a single day. Things were just too boring here, besides the two little spars he had gotten into. That Rainer boy had seemed too cautious and afraid of injury, while the silent one had seemed like he was ready to kill anyone without a single thought. It was kinda scary, but it was also fun. There seemed to be so many different types of personalities here at the school that he couldn't wait to meet more of the students and to fight against them to see how they did things.

As his mind wandered he began to think of the stories he had heard about his great grandfather and the characters he had met throughout his travels. In fact, one such person kind of reminded him of the silent person that he had recently trained with. Sylvia Hyori, great grandpa's old teammate. He had heard whenever they used to train together that she would fight so seriously, as if it was a real life or death situation. It was because of her though that Tetsu had been able to grow and learn the next step in his bloodline, unlocking the first transformation.

But she wasn't the only notable person that Tetsu's family had mentioned in his stories. There was of course their notorious sensei, Lexianne, the Bloody Vixen. One of the most feared in the shinobi world at her time while also being the holder of the Nibi. Roxas had often heard that whenever Tetsu had been down or feeling like a failure that she was always there to help him get back on his feet and find his own path. She was one of the few people that Tetsu had truly gotten along with. But she definitely wasn't the only one. There were plenty more that would soon come along.

The third that he had heard about was a boy by the name of Sangil Shinto who had some strange pet by the name of King. Sangil and King had been Tetsu's greatest challenge, having completely overwhelmed him during his great grandfather's first chuunin exams. In fact, to this day ants have continued to even freak out his descendants, including Roxas. Sangil was the one who had changed Tetsu from a close range fighter to a long range area of control fighter. He had barely moved and during the entire time Tetsu had only managed to get one hit on the boy, while simultaneously destroying all of the boys chimera ants but leaving himself without any left over chakra once he had figured out the trick. He was even forced to forfeit the match as a missing ninja had arrived and assaulted Tetsu's team mate who had turned out to be a Dipugakure Sannin in disguise. How they both got through, Roxas hadn't heard.

But some time after that, Tetsu had kept training and growing stronger. He mostly did missions with himself and his pet tiger, Sora, only. Tetsu was too afraid of bringing harm to others by fighting with them, which is why at times he would even leave Sora at home. After the first chuunin exams Ibara and many other villages had come under attack. The past Kages had arrived and Tetsu had attempted to protect the Kage, but the power difference between him and the woman was just far too great. Within a millisecond the woman and completely wrecked Tetsu, breaking just about every bone in his body. If Tetsu hadn't have had the power to pull his bones from his body to regrow new ones then Roxas might not have been there today. But eventually the attackers retreated and the kage, Ryuujin, helped Tetsu to the hospital where he met Suo Verin.

Suo was an odd man who loved to tinker with puppetry, even teaching him a few basics and making him a puppet, though Tetsu never had the skill for it. Suo was just one of the three Jonin in Ibara that Tetsu had trained with, the other being some strange woman that he only really trained with once, and of course Lexianne, though she was actually the Head of Ibara's Hunter Nin. Anyways, Suo was the one that helped Tetsu learn that using single types of weapons wasn't the only thing he could do. With his multi-arm jutsu Tetsu was able to do much more than any normal shinobi was able to do by using his multiple limbs to wield multiple objects. Which began the process of Tetsu developing the Shigure Soen Ryu style, which all started with his bone whip, bone sword, blood whip and bone lance. Of course, Tetsu was still shaky from close range fighting after Sangil and rarely used this style.

Eventually, Tetsu retook the chuunin exams with two other promising students: Kazuhira Hokkai and Riku Mishura. Both sacrificed their position in the chuunin exams to ensure that Tetsu would have a strong chance at passing, which he didn't waste that chance and actually moved on to become Ibaragakure's next chuunin. After that, he had never really found a way to pay them back, but he did go on a mission with Suo, Riku, and two others. One was a promising young soulless by the name of Aisha Lone. The other was a member of Kazuhira's family, Shiku. The five of them set off on a simple escort mission that went awry.

Suo had been incapacitated by a very powerful missing ninja, said to have been an S Class Criminal. She also seemed to have brought along a B Class Criminal with her as well. He managed to hold her off for a short time before they suffered a casualty, Seymour, the Daimyo's kid's bodyguard. And then the Daimyo's kid, Ivanna, had also been taken. The groups split up. Suo and Tetsu stayed behind to rest while Aisha, Riku and Shiku went ahead using a tracker to locate her. After resting Suo had gone to the Daimyo's Palace where he once again found another S Class Criminal. Tetsu had wandered elsewhere, but a familiar scent dragged him toward the ocean where he fought and killed another B Class Criminal who was attempting to target the Genin team. After taking out the missing ninja, Tetsu went ahead to help the others and managed to rescue Ivanna from a band of pirates.

Roxas yawned as he stopped rethinking the stories he had heard about Tetsu. He could hear a bell ringing, signifying that lunch was starting. It looked like today was another slow day. He got up off his ass and began heading to one of the many windows to go and eat, looking back at the sky only once more before entering the confines of the building.

Ooc: Got permission to get rid of some old roads and train for replacements.

Spoiler:

Roxas sighed as he changed the bandage on his left arm. It was such a pain now that his arm was gone. He remembered the name of the girl that saved the boy from Roxas's attack. Her name was Jade and as far as he figured it from the oddly colored wind, she was a Ghost. Yet she seemed so young for an Awakening. It was possible it was another technique, but it was very curious. Especially with the way it overpowered his advanced wind release, Heat. Normally wind techniques had a hard time getting through, but it completely overpowered him. There was definitely something odd about her. And the boys own weapon was unique. When he ran by the blade he noticed the runes on it. The only race he knew that could produce runes on weapons was the Vanir.

Roxas was deep in thought as he headed back toward the library to read up on these races again. In case he ever came across those two again. He had to devise a strategy, as he had a score to settle. That guy had taken his arm, Roxas would take something in return and then beat that boy with it till he was black and blue.

Spoiler:

Roxas was laying on the soft packed dirt of the training grounds. His silver white hair flowing gently as a breeze passed across him. Honestly, this day was perfect. He blew a bubble and held it there for a moment. He looked at it, watching the air trapped inside, then with another push of air he popped it, releasing the carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The young boy gave a silent smile before spitting out the wad of gum.

As he pulled out another stick he came to a stand still. A unique sound resonating from somewhere high up in the air. His eyes followed it up to the sky where he saw the beautiful swallow soaring through the air, free as can be. It was definitely a lovely day.

Then he flinched as a familiar feminine voiced buzzed through his head. Oi! Roxas! Get your head outta the clouds and get back to work! I'm sweating up a storm in here!" exclaimed Tekio, his living weapon. Roxas simply smiled and nodded. "Yeah, alright," he would gently say before getting back to his feet and back to training in the Over Road. He had a long way to go before he could make his lineage truly proud.

Spoiler:

Roxas stood in the center of the training grounds, alone in the middle of the night. He had to be extremely careful because he was about to learn a secret technique, one passed down by his anscestor Tetsu Kurogane. Tetsu had developed a Nintaijutsu that would put pressure on and disrupt the targets chakra system by forcing his own inside through the use of a punch. A forceful injection to disrupt the targets chakra network and act as a poison to it. Tetsu had never fully developed or even used the technique, but it was exclusive to him as he was the original creator and had taught no other the jutsu. None had even seen it in use. It was the family's treasured jutsu, only his father evolving it past its original state.

Tonight it was Roxas's turn to learn and develop the technique, master it and become its successor. Everyone within his family knew the secrets to this technique, but they were only allowed to actually train to master it when they had managed to becomea Genin, the same rank his anscestor was when it was first created. This technique had to be precise, for if one got the timing wrong not only would it be ineffective and give the opponent an opportunity to attack, but it would also waste the user's chakra. And Roxas didn't have much to spare right now. He knew the steps to the point, having studied the secrets every day before coming to the academy, and with his genius he should be capable of easily pulling it off without a hitch, but he was nervous still. Why? He didn't know.

Roxas took a calm breath and lit himself a smoke. His nerves were wracking. Was it the possibility of failure that was holding him back? But why? It had never affected him before. He'd always been so calm and focused. Yet now he felt unstable. Was it fear? He used to not know that sensation till the pits. The face of the girl flashed before his eyes as he made his promised to take that place down one day. He'd return with an army. An entire village. And put an end to that nightmare. And to the Shogun. It was obvious that man knew of that place. Nothing escaped the Shogun's sight. If a boy as simple as Roxas could have found it then that man could have easily located it. Roxas was sure of it, he wasn't stupid. After he finished his cigarette he felt a bit calmer and went back to training the jutsu.

Spoiler:

Roxas stood in front of a training dummy. His combat was slacking and he needed to get better as he got stronger. He knew he would end up fighting stronger and stronger opponents as time went on. He couldn't afford to slow down or lighten up in his daily training. He had to push himself further and further each time. Today Roxas was attempting to train for a technique exclusive to him and Tekio alone as it only worked with the two of them. It was a simultaneous punch timed seconds before the other, Tekio and Roxas working together to double their offensive power without screwing with their own body. It was really ingenious if he thought so himself.

Roxas summoned Tekio forth from his body, a blast of heat coming from his very being as the thick black liquid of Tekio forced her way through his pours, becoming a black exo suit dripping with small trails of blood. The two were one again, a painful and glorius feeling. Roxas took aim at the dummy and began repeatedly striking attempting to work out the timing of each hit for Tekio and himself. It was tricky. The attack needed to be so close in time that one would have a hard time seeing both hits, yet also making sure that the second attack wouldn't be obstructed by any debris and could make a clean hit. This was gonna be tricky.

PostSubject: Re: Roads of Destiny [Solo Training]   Roads of Destiny [Solo Training] Icon_minitime16th November 2013, 7:24 am

Time went on, no matter what one did it would always be moving ahead, an unknown force that none could truly control. Choices, events, actions. All were premeditated, they were already written in the stones of time and no one could change them. Even then creature of time itself could not rewrite time for its actions to do so are already written in the complexity of time. To break time was to adhere to it, as going against it was going with it. Everything predicted and everything set. Rewriting it wasn't changing it, but already seen and just waiting to be done. One could never truly go against time itself. Many may seek ways to turn back events and do things over, but that could never be done. Or so Roxas thought as he sat upon the stump within the training grounds reading a simple novel. Every action done in an attempt to change time was what caused the time to be what it was already. It was fate. To go against fate was impossible.

Roxas sighed and closed his book before looking down at the stump of an arm he had now thanks to that Reaper. He vowed he would get revenge on the boy one day, but he knew it wouldn't be any time soon. He was too weak, and he realized this. Unlike most here at the Academy he could realize his own weakness and admit it, which in itself was also a strength of his. But it wasn't enough. Roxas leaned back and glared up at the Sun, thoughts running through his head, battle plans for the next time he fought that guy. Would he continue to lose? To be useless in a fight? Against so many he had won till that day when he finally got struck down. Of course in one way it was a victory, the guy and girl had to retreat. But he didn't like it. The guy hadn't been succumbed by him. In fact he hadn't done a single thing besides get seriously injured. It was humiliating! But what could he do about it? What's done is done and there is no changing the events of the past. And even if he could manage to make his way back to the past there was no way he could change it for it was predained. If he managed to get there then nothing would change for his actions in that time would have already melded with the current and force nothing but his own realization of time itself. There was no what ifs or anything of the sort. The past, present, future, it was all on a linear path that one had to follow no matter the choices they make, cause its impossible to edit it from what it is. The past, present and future were absolute. But... Sometimes Roxas wondered if that was true. If the past and future weren't truly ordained to begin with. What if there was a way to change them, but would that truly change the future or would it just create a parallel world? If it did work would then present be gone? What would occur? He couldn't wrap his head around it which was why he believed in the linear possibility.
