Zodiac Sign: Aries Personality: Despite his rather stern and scary look which comes naturally, Raizu is not a harsh or cold person, because of his face he is often considered to be a loner. And while it is true that he does prefer to be alone sometimes Raizu is also a people person when he chooses to be, some people rub him the wrong way as he is a rather down to earth person. His main philosophy is to treat others the way you wish to be treated, as a result he has a strong sense of giving others respect and caring as he thinks it is how everyone should act. Even sworn enemies should show respect to one another or at least Raizu thinks they should, caring well sometimes one has to shut that off as it gets in the way. Also because of the way he thinks Raizu never holds back in a fight, even if there is a zero point one percent chance of them defeating him he will not hold back because to do so would be disrespectful and possibly cause his downfall. Anger is usually something that is not seen with Raizu but occasionally it does happen when someone is disrespectful or arrogant constantly as he feels the need to take them down a peg or two. Bragging and accepting compliments are something that is never heard from him as he rather humble even when he accomplishes a great feat he simply chalks it up as his duty. Other than his respectful and caring sides he is rather laid back especially after a mission, sometimes he even feels so happy after a good mission he wants to sing though many have told him he has a terrible singing voice. He has a bit of a betting problem when it comes to his good moods, he is not a gambling addict but he does enjoy messing around every now and then with bets that are rather silly like to see who came eat ten lemons the fastest. But it is not too often that he does things like this so only a few know of this little habit of his, most of the time he is calm with only a bit of that fun side sticking out every now and then. One trait that many find cold is his dedication to the needs of the many rather than the few, he understands that if there is one person in danger or twenty people in danger he must choose the twenty to save. As a result if he were on a mission of grave importance he would do what is necessary to complete the mission, which means if his mission were to take out an enemy base he would do so even if it meant that his fellow shinobi were within the base. Appearance: Raizu is a young man with a rough exterior and well as a small almost shaggy like goatee on his chin due to his lack of grooming. Raizu's most distinguishable physical traits are his stern expression giving him a scary, unapproachable appearance and the large blonde streak that runs down his mid length wavy hair clashing with his brown hair. His eyes are a deep brown color one might call them caramel colored though he hardly hears that, they match well with some of his hair even if other parts do not match well. His skin is a light tan as he often spends time outside but hardly tans all that much in the sun, most of his skin is smooth to the touch like the arms, face, and neck. But there are rough patches where he has been scarred in battle on his upper body and on his back, upon his right palm is a small jagged scar. The scar runs from the bottom of the pinky to the middle of his ring finger, it was caused by a kunai attack when he was younger as a result the damage turned his decent handwriting into terrible handwriting that can barely be read by anyone but himself. Raizu's clothing consists of simple items really, the kind that anyone even a child could get, the only thing that he has that some cannot get is the jounin vest which of course he wears. Underneath the vest he wears a simple cotton shirt that breathes quite well so it keeps the heat at bay for him, as for the lower body he actually wears white baggy harem pants as they breathe nicely as well and give him the ability to move his legs freely. His feet are often barely covered by a pair of modified geta, the usual pair of geta are made of solid wood which his are as well but he has applied metal plating to the bottom of the geta. This allows his kicks to do more damage and allows him to block objects with his feet if needed, around his waist specifically at his back there are several pouches which hold his weaponry. Finally his headband which most never see because he carries it in a rather odd way, instead of using the cloth that was originally given to him he wears it around his neck. Using a bit of leather he flipped it around so the symbol of his village is pressed against his neck and he wears the whole thing almost like a collar, he only flips it over for others to see when they ask for it. Raizu had a rather normal upbringing as a child, he laughed, he played, played tricks every now and then. The only real thing that was a little different was that he had a childhood bully, at first he said nothing to anyone about it but eventually he was tired of this happening. He went to his mother about it asking what he could do stop the older child from being mean to him, his mother suggested that he try and talk with the young man so he did try. That did not work even a little as the older boy simply ignored his words and beat him up again, finally as a last resort Raizu went to his father to ask him what he could do. His father told him in one sentence which didn't make sense at the time to him, "you do what you have to Raizu" was all he said to him, with that he went off on his mission leaving Raizu to ponder the answer himself.
It was the next day when he was in the park that he was confronted by his bully again, now as he was being beaten up Raizu kept running his father's words through his mind over and over. Finally it hit him like a brick and he knew what he had to do, instead of just sitting there taking the beating Raizu attacked his bully with everything he had. Inexperienced as they both were the fight was short and Raizu was free of his bully, he did not win but he had shown he was not a coward to his bully. When he got home his parents were at the dinner table of course his mother asked what happened when she saw his wounds, he smiled to his father "I did what I had to" was all he said in return. This incident has helped shape Raizu into the man he is today and is something he remembers quite clearly.
Academy Arc:- Spoiler:
When Raizu joined the academy he was a bit wary of other kids still, he did not shun them but he also did not go about trying to make friends with all of them either as who knew where another bully might be he always thought to himself. Eventually he came to be a little more open as training started, he was good but not considered one of the geniuses so he was still approachable. Many liked to ask about why he had two hair colors or if he dyed it, it was good times for him for a little while but he failed the first test while many others passed it easily.
Disheartened by the failure and the fact that many of his friends now left him he shut himself away from everyone that was new to the academy because he did not want to try and meet new people. This lasted until training started again and he was praised by the newer students for being so good, they asked why he had failed the first test and he did not have the heart to tell them that he had messed up on the transformation technique because one of the cute girls in class had smiled at him. The second test he was a little more disciplined and he passed without a problem, he said goodbye to all of his new friends and went into the rank of genin finally.
Genin Arc:- Spoiler:
As a genin things got a little more serious for Raizu especially as he went on his first mission just a week after becoming a genin, it was a simple D rank mission to escort a merchant to his summer home. But on the way there they were attacked by bandits, nothing serious because of the jounin they had with them but when he was being attacked by a sword wielding bandit he realized he could actually die doing this stuff. Their jounin sensei was of course watching all of them closely as he could see that Raizu was truly realizing what fear was. He was ready to step in at any moment but he did not need to as Raizu strengthened his resolve and used a simple punch to bring the bandit down, instead of becoming brave for himself he became brave for others. He thought of the pain it would cause his mother, father, and friends if they found out that he was dead, he also decided right then he would never let a fellow shinobi die.
He was a naive young man thinking it was possible to keep such a promise, but that all changed when his father was sent on a special mission. The mission his father was on was a covert operation, he and two other chuunin like himself had been sent to retrieve information on a weapons seller who had been allegedly selling weapons to bandits and rogue shinobi. They had infiltrated the base of the weapons seller easily, it had been too easy as they had been expected by the weapons seller, he had hired several high level missing shinobi to kill Raizu's father and the other two so they couldn't report back. Instead of all them trying to flee the weakest of them which was Raizu's father leaped forward to attack the enemy to buy his fellow ninja time to escape and deliver the message of what was going on. It was thanks to his act that his team got away safe and sound to deliver the message.
When the other two came back without his father Raizu asked where his father was, they told him he had been killed or captured in the operation as they had been expected. Raizu asked them what they were going to do now, they replied that they would go into the base in a day or two after gathering the right shinobi. Raizu could not believe they were being so callous with his father's life, he had expected them to charge right out to the enemy base and save his father, but the reality is that the rogue shinobi were high level and right now the right shinobi were out on other missions.
A day later they attacked the base, but it was way too late, even if they had attacked right away it would not have mattered as Raizu's father had died in combat while stalling the enemy. They could have never have saved him, but Raizu did not see it that way when they brought his father's body back to the village all he could do is cry in rage. He dug his father's grave himself with his hands until they bled freely, whenever someone tried to stop him he thrust them away from himself so they could not hurt him anymore. He buried his father and then just left, not staying for the funeral or anything, this was another major moment in shaping the man he is today.
It was Raizu's mother who managed to help heal the wound in his heart, she told him that she had not raised him to just give up and that he should keep on fighting to live. When he asked why if they were just going to die like his father she gave him a hard slap and told him that life had it's ways of knocking you down but you had to get up or else bad guys won. She mentioned that because of his father's sacrifice two men lived to help the entire village and eventually take down the weapons seller which helped hundreds if not thousands more. This is one of the reasons Raizu currently believes in helping the many over the few.
Chuunin Exams:- Spoiler:
When the chuunin exams came Raizu could not wait to compete in them even if it meant that he would lose, this would be the chance to become an equal rank to what his father had been. The first exam was not easy but it was not hard for him either, without cheating he managed to answer enough questions with almost right or right answers to scored a barely passing seventy one percent.
The second exam was where he really shined as he protected his teammates with a vicious tenacity, many had never thought him to be a real challenge as he hardly displayed any real skill. But on that day he was a one man wrecking crew to those who underestimated him, his use of taijutsu and ninjutsu together threw the others off their game. Instead of being focused on one area like many genin he was well rounded and able to adapt quickly, they easily gathered the scrolls in the process they actually managed to be the second team to get there. In the end only five teams made the cut that year, after that four more dropped out from wounds or exhaustion one of them was the male teammate of Raizu who was practically out of chakra.
But because another four dropped out of the exam they did not have the elimination round as they usually would instead they went to the third exam with eleven left. With their training time given Raizu trained directly with his sensei while his female teammate was trained by another. Unfortunately they would never meet in the exam to fight as she was taken out in the first round by a genin from Konoha, incidentally he was to be Raizu's final opponent in the semi finals. It was at the semi finals that he and his opponent were taken out of the final exam by knocking each other out, though they may have not won the whole competition between the genin it was an impressive fight that earned them both the rank of Chuunin.
Chuunin Arc:- Spoiler:
Due to the display that he showed in the chuunin exams the seventh Raikage asked Raizu if he wanted to learn a special style of Raiton that would make him stronger, which of course Raizu agreed to right away. The seventh Raikage taught him how to use the style black lightning which further improved his Raiton abilities, he learned quickly and worked hard to master the style. Though he still has not mastered it even at his current level as a jounin he strives to better it every time he trains, while a chuunin he never had anything major happen until his tenth mission where he was given a new title as the Arigato shinobi.
It was a big battle between another shinobi unit each side had retained heavy losses due to furious fighting, Raizu had been called in with three other chuunin to circle around the enemy and distract them. As they did they were met with the same amount of chuunin from the enemy side who had the same idea, the fighting was dangerous and vicious as everyone but Raizu died in that fight. It was also the same fight where he was given a jagged scar on his hand, at the end of the battle he lined up the bodies and he cried for both sides knowing that such terrible things must happen sometimes. He was on his knee's with his hands pressed together when he bowed his head and said thank you to both his fellow villagers and his enemies bodies as a sign of respect.
After he said the words it was then he realized that five more of the enemy had show up and surrounded him, because of his sign of respect they actually only took the bodies of their comrades and told him that they were also thankful for his respect before leaving him. Raizu's own comrades soon joined him after that and he said thank you to them as well, he had other battles after that and he would thank the enemies fallen as well as his own for their service. He could never hate the other shinobi as they were doing what they had to just like him, his skills were honed and soon the Arigato shinboi was known through quite a few villages. Though most know him simply because of his unique hairstyle and then his nickname but he has never cared to be known, eventually he was able to rise above the rank of chuunin all the way to jounin due to his skill and hard work.
Ninja InfoVillage: Shi Rank: Jonin Clan: N/A Chakra Nature: Doton, Raiton Primary Weapon: Name: Kanji gloves Rank: B Element: Depends on the user. Details: These gloves are specially made with chakra conducting metal making it easier to use one's elements through them, the metal is quite hard so even those without chakra can use them to increase the damage of their attacks. It should be noted that these gloves are not incredibly durable items so trying to block jutsu with them even with a chakra enhancement is dangerous. Each element does something different to the gloves. Katon increases the heat of the metal to the point where it can burn or melt some objects like wood, ice, rubber just things that are weak to heat, it also allows the user to fire fireballs from their fists without the use of handsigns by using the chakra flow technique, the fireballs while not powerful are a surprise attack and can be used as a diversion if needed. Raiton allows the user to transfers bolts of electricity through the gloves into anything they touch as long as it is a conductor, as a result it is like a low powered stun gun but over time it can affect the opponent's movements (About ten hits just to start affecting the muscles so they spasm without permission, from there it will get worse). Suiton increases the fluidity of movements, basically allowing them to use water or chakra to reroute attacks rather than block them head on they let the attack go around the gloves, it is similar to water rushing over a rock rather than hitting it straight on over and over it finds ways around it, basically by angling your hands a certain way you can send the attack another direction. Doton increases the offensive and defensive power by hardening the entire glove in chakra enhanced stone, the result is a very hard hitting weapon and something that can block normal weapons quite easily, it also counts as a second skin which can be shed if needed so it protects the user's skin from poison or attacks that cling to the body, of course this is only for the hands. Fuuton is an offensive property that turns the users hands into even more lethal weapons, the wind wraps around the user's hands turning them into blades that rend flesh and cut through normal weapons. The wind however decrease in power with each item that it cuts meaning the sharpness will slowly fade, eventually the effects will disappear completely unless one constantly uses chakra to replenish the wind flowing around the hands. Secondary Weapon: Name: Retractable chakra shield Rank: B Element: Doton Details: This shield is similar to the Kanji gloves as it is made out of chakra conducting metal making it easier to use the chakra flow technique, this shield however only allow Doton chakra to flow through it. By itself the shield is just metal that can block ordinary weapons such as kunai, shuriken and other weapons, when doton chakra is flowing through it it becomes incredibly hard and difficult to break or pierce. It's ultimate weakness is raiton as it is the natural enemy element of doton, when not being used the shield is seen in the form of a bracelet on his left wrist but when it comes out it is about two and half feet around with a solid black tinge to it. Weapon Name: Chakra Board Type of Weapon: Surfboard Rank: A How Many: 1 (given to Shigakure genin) Appearance: A normal skateboard/snowboard/surfboard with holes on the bottom of it pointing in the opposite then the rider is facing. Special Ability: The chakra board has the special ability to use the riders chakra to ride along the air currents.

The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination.

Description: This is a special "ninja tool summon" that allows the user to seal ninja tools like swords or kunai into a scroll or their clothes beforehand, allowing them to be called upon when needed. The ninja tools can be summoned in an instant just by touching the sealing "marks" which can be drawn anywhere. The greatest advantage of this technique is that the time between taking out a ninja tool, taking the right stance and actually throwing it is greatly reduced. Also when a weapon such as a Fūma Shuriken is summoned, the time needed to throw it can be further shortened by having prepared the weapon in its fully extended form beforehand.
The ninja tools are thrown with the actual speed of a "flash of lightning", ruining the opponent's outset of the battle, and snatching away the initiative. Furthermore, because the summoned ninja tools can remain hidden until right before they are used, if this technique is mastered, there are an exceptional number of possible tactics. A large number of ninja tools can be stored within the sealing marks, which can make the efficiency of this technique last longer.

Description: The user flows chakra through all parts of their body causing it to become noticeably darker, which increases their defensive power to its utmost limits by making the skin as hard as diamond. Furthermore, the destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great all-purpose technique. The amount of techniques that can break through the areas hardened by the Earth Spear are close to zero, excluding its undeniable weak point: Lightning Release ninjutsu. Kakuzu used this technique through the use of his earth-element mask.
Kakuzu demonstrated the ability to use this to cover himself partially (i.e. his hand and lower arm, and the side of his head) without using handsigns, which gave him a significant tactical advantage against ambushes.

This allows freer manipulation of the affected objects, which would normally carry considerably more weight and as such, require a greater amount of exertion to move. The technique can be used on the user or other shinobi to increase their speed, but as a consequence of using it this way, it results in the decrease of the physical force of their blows. When used on living organisms they exhibit petrification and then begin to crumble.

Description: This technique changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. This effect goes around the body (not just the hands), making it just large enough for a person to move through. The user can pinpoint where they are, despite being underground, by sensing the magnetic forces. They can also sense what is happening on the surface and use that information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. One can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy can't reach. It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth.

Description:Another technique that uses black lightning to increase the piercing damage, but this technique is used on the hand to produce devastating results. It is an armor piercing technique for those with techniques like rock armor, earth spear, or others like that. It can be used to pierce through jutsu as well but this would be as a last resort seeing even if the user pierced it they would be harmed in the process, it is not to be considered a version of raikiri. This technique is not to be used at high speeds as you would lose focus on the target, the main use to to break through armor or defenses that blunt force could not affect.
