Silent Flailing [Flinashiv's Adventures]

Once he was finally outside, Flinashiv looked around for a few moments, sniffing the air and then he tapped into the strange energy within him. Ever since he'd changed he felt like he could actually use it and he channeled it into his eyes, just looking around for anything interesting before switching it off.

With that done he crouched low, attempting to do his best to camouflage himself once more to see if he could regain that using the leaves, sticks and mud around him. Either way, it was time to move on and find something to kill. He rolled his neck and grinned, crouching low and sliding forwards, letting his conceal stop him from being noticed by any other creatures that would be around.

He went North, the same direction they had went when they fought the Hero, he knew there was more out there and he was determined to find it, slay it and then use it to further himself. These woods belonged to the Kobolds and he'd ensure that everyone knew this...

The use of Nature Sight would cause his sight to light up as numerous bushes and trees began to standout more to him and he could see that if he keeped heading forward the tres would start to space out leading to more plains. Either way as Flinashiv moved through the wilds he would stumble upon a Three Horned Horse which was eating a fruit that was still attached to a tree rather than knocking it down. On each of it's horns were three other fruit speared through to the base of it's horns clearly this particular monster was a bit of a glutton. It would finish eating the fruit and would snort before looking around the area searching for another food source before it returned to the herd to feed it's Horned Foals.

Lying in the undergrowth, Flinashiv watched the Horse for a few moments before taking a deep breath. Once more he attempted to tap into that deep, primal energy in his body, that fury he knew he had. Whether he successfully got Temper or not however, it was time to kill, just like always. He brought his shorter tail around, right arm reaching down towards it while the left flicked and brought one of his organic barbs out and into it. From his tail came a far stranger weapon, a spiked ball of what almost looked like bone attached to a chain and a haft.

He moved around until he was just behind the Horse where it wouldn't be able to see him before he rushed out under his concealment, ripping his flail out as he done so before leaping. He'd attempt to clamp his teeth around the Horse's neck and bite in with all of the force he could, his flail and his organic barb lashing around to strike into its eyes, attempting to carve with the barb as the Flail was a more blunt weapon and likely couldn't be used for carving. Unless it could, in which case he'd carve with that too!

Flindashiv would impact the Three Horned Horse like a predator on prey and his blows would with his bite as well as lashing out with his flind flail and the horn he got from the horned foal he had managed to kill. Unfortunately it managed to survive his sneaky attack and would immediately gallop before turning it's body so as to smash him into a tree which would hopefully dislodge him from it's body so it could kill him. It seemed that the forest hadn't yet adjusted to the fact that there were more dangerous monsters roaming around the area, then again with only two of the bosses slain it made sense as to why there wasn't any urgency to becoming stronger as a collective.

Shiv hadn't gotten to where he was by giving up after being slammed into only a single tree. Instead he just focused and tilted his body slightly, letting his cloak take the brunt of the force. He clamped down harder with his teeth and swung both of his weapons in once more, aiming to tear open the wounds that he had already created on the Horse's face. He just continued to let that rage build, he knew it could help him, he knew there was strength he hadn't attained yet! If his next series of attacks successfully killed the horse, he'd put his Flail away in his tail to stop the bleeding.

Following on from that, he'd crouch next to the Horse and specifically set to carving out one of its Horns. He needed a bigger weapon than the Foal Horn he was carrying. He done it using his own Organic Barb as he could sense it was going to grow in power if he continued using it.

Flinashiv's anger seemed to reach it's boiling point and thus the tightening of it's jaw would be enough to crack the Triple Horned Horse's neck bones causing it to collapse to the ground and keel over. With that done he proved he was capable of hunting even a Tier II Monster within the Northern Great Forest by himself, and it was truly a meal that those in his pack would appreciate. Still now that the battle high was over he would feel that his attacks had been ferocious enough to hurt his body and surely if he hadn't ranked up that would of been enough to kill himself. Perhaps this realization was enough to waver his focus as while carving the Three Horned Horse he would accidentally press down too hard and with his new strength to break the skull causing the three horns to break into unusable weapons but leaving the jagged remains of the horns on the partially broken Horse Skull.

Shiv ground his teeth for a few long moments as he broke the horns before taking a deep breath. He let that rage simmer and bubble though, he might be able to use it later. He still put the skull on his head and tied the meat up in a few leaves so that he could carry it around. He pondered for a few moments whether he should head back but he wasn't all that hungry at the moment and although this was a fair amount of meat... It still wasn't enough.

So with that, he tucked the meat away between his body and his breastplate and then crouched low to the ground once more, letting the familiar feelings of his Sneak and his newer Conceal cover him as he slid out and continued North to see if he could find anything else. One more hunt and he'd head back to the Den with his spoils.

Flinashiv would head further up north looking for something else to hunt, with the scent of blood emanating from despite his concealment it meant that he would most likely attract predators rather than prey even if they might not be able to spot him. In the next clearing there were two other Three Horned Horses seemingly lurking around the area looking for their kin who had went for a tinkle and hadn't come back yet. Fortunately for Flinashiv he hadn't been noticed as dealing with one of them was easy but two, might be a true test of his fighting skill, that is if he wanted to take the risk.

Flinashiv spent a few long moments staring at the Horses that were before him. Two of them... He had just taken one although it had survived long enough to attack him which was bothersome. He opened and closed his jaw a few times and even closed his eyes, pulling up his status menu and looking at his HP. He could get away with another reckless attack but he didn't want to, it was getting a bit too dangerous, especially with two opponents... Or at least two big opponents. He'd taken down a Hero though and he wasn't a brute like he was now...

That decided it for him. He spent a few moments psyching himself up, letting his rage spill forth once more to try and utilise it. He knew there was something there, he just had to tap into it properly. He then moved behind the first of the two Horses and slid up to it. He readied himself, pulling his flail free once more and gripping it by the head so he could carve with it, before leaping up and clamping his jaws on the back of its neck, biting in. He brought a barb and his flail up, driving them into the eyes just like he did the last one. He wasn't using his reckless attack this time so he expected it to survive but he wasn't going to let go, he knew he could kill it after another set of strikes.

Flail no longer Shiv as the primal rage coursed through his body and the high of his temper caused his swing to be much more harsh in nature. Piercing it in its eyes, blinding the creature the resulting onslaught dropped the first horse. The thrill of the fight would amp the former kobold immensely up. And in good measure too. The second horse wasn’t a fan of seeing it’s Kind die. It seemed the horse had a temper of its own and would trample against Flinashiv’s torso. Attempting to flatten him with its weight. It dare not use its horn on such a lowly creature.

Flinashiv howled in exultation as the fury finally surged through him, empowering his blows. He could taste blood and he loved it. His head spun, blood dripping from his jaws as he got up from the corpse of the first horse and moved towards the second. It of course charged him and attempted to trample him however he was the same size as the beast and instead he let the blows slam into his chest, letting his breastplate take the force of the attacks. Keeping his rage stoked he used the forward momentum to drive his teeth into the Horse's throat, just under its chin, sinking his teeth in. He brought both of his weapons in over his head, driving the Barb and Flail into the Horse's eyes again just like he did the first one, digging them in as deep as he could to deal as much damage as was possible to the Horse's face. He was going to have some damn good eating for the pack...

An excellent bout! Confidence surges as the enemy crumbles! The Horse tried to kick at Flinashiv yet to no avail. The onslaught of it's weaponry proved far to much for the beast. It slumped over as it's blood was drained from the hole in it's neck. It would collapse onto Shiv. The two horses lay dead, the onslaught of weaponry and power was truly a good display. How intriguing... Intriguing enough for them to be overseen. Something had awakened near by. Stalking him. Waiting. The hair on the back of his neck would spring up but whatever was around had chosen to remain hidden. Chose to remain quiet. Might let this one go and go for one of those horses. Whose to say...

Shiv put his flail away, scanning around for a few moments but he couldn't see anything. The Horses were dead but it was unlikely that a creature would attack him with the corpses of larger prey at his feet. So he put his barb away and flicked out his foal horn spinning it around and crouched next to the head of the first horse. He started to carve away at the skull, hoping to get one of the Horns as a new weapon. If he was successful he would move to the other and do a general carve hoping to get something useful, if he failed at getting the Horn he would then attempt it on the second horse. Once it was all done, he tied up the meat into a bundle using leaves, heaved the corpse of one of the Horses onto his back and then headed back to the Den, provided that nothing attacked him or tried to stop him while he was doing this.

[Flinashiv Exits?]

As he was carving the first horn, a loud crack could be heard. Alas. Failure. But Carry on for the only thing to halt progression is one's determination. The first carve had broken the three pronged horn in several pieces. To heavy handed one would seem. Then as he frustratingly went to the second one, as soon as he placed his hand on the horn. It simply fell out. LIke it had been ready to give for quite some time now. Probably why the horse chose to trample. But yes the Three Horned Horse had given him it's horn. Hauling off the other horse's corpse, today seemed to be a success. From the corner of his eye he could see a massive night cobra slither up and haul the horse in the other direction.
