Droplet's, Amongst Sea's

Things had gone so fast...and yet, thinking back, with a hideous slowness that was itself fascinating to behold in the opposite manner. This must have been how the captain of the Titanic had felt, in those moments immediately leading up to the collision with the iceberg. It was such a cosmically infeasible state of affairs, that these two monoliths would collide in such a way, and by the time that it had been noticed, there was such a horrible inertia to it. It was oddly fitting, for the moment that was about to come, Astha felt. There would almost certainly be those who hoped to see the event turned back, but once it had happened, it was done.

Splat.... A tear.....a gasp....and a fallen cone of strawberry ice cream. Astha could only look on in shock as tears began strolling down her eyes uncontrollably causing passerby to not stop but look as they passed by awkwardly. It was possibly only heart breaking too the young lass but a few moments later Astha would be wiping her face and crushing the cone with a stoic look; never one too linger on emotions she still had some training to do today.

She tried too look like a benign today her hair tied up in a ponytail giving her forehead that sun reflect of me look. Along with that she had on shorts going a little past her knees, sandals and a small fitting v neck shirt showing her non existing cleavage; all blue.

A few blocks and turns welcomed Astha too the training grounds where she would take a seat grabbing a water bottle from the bag she was holding and taking a small swig before looking around at all the people currently training there were even a few older shinobi lingering about tho working on complex things.

Astha would slowly begin humming a tune as she checked her gear and kunai pouch......the humming would fill the area like a small fine liquid over the floor.

Today was the start of a new chapter in her life. Having graduated from the academy, it was time for to meet up with her teammates that she would effectively spend the rest of her life with and truly she was quite excited about it. Her parents were shinobi, not as good as some of the others around, and they would always come back telling stories of places they been and people they’ve seen and it always piqued her interest. She understood that at the beginning they wouldn’t be doing anything remotely interesting but she was excited about the journey none the less. Having gotten up pretty early, she had ensured that she had a balanced breakfast and got dressed in something simple and headed out.

Nazogakure was quite the difficult to traverse, even for someone who lived there all their lives, however, she was able to make it to the training ground on time and would immediately notice the young girl with the water bottle. “Hi there, are you Astha?” She asked with a smile on her face.

Astha would take yet another drink she was suppose to be meeting her team soon when a face she recognised appeared into the area causing her too smile somewhat she never liked being alone in a area. Her father being persistent insisted she meet her teammates however upon arriving neithet where there just the parents and talk from old people leaving Astha time to look around the houses lf her genin teamates.

Once Vicktoria Mikhailov spoke Astha would lift her head up as she began singing.

Well the raven is a wicked bird
Her wings are black as sin
And she floats outside my prison window
Mocking those within
And she sings to me real low
It's hell to where you go
...........
When I first met Mr Mikhailov
I was working in the academy,
Said he had himself a white haired daughter
With long, grey eyes

Well, that was interesting, to say the least. Vicktoria thought having heard the young girl sing to her about some raven’s wings? Honestly, she didn’t know what the hell the girl was talking about but she did compliment her so at least she was friendly, for now anyway. “Umm, thank you Astha. I don’t know who our third teammate is and I don’t know the Jonin that has been assigned to us so, for now, it’s just the two of us. So let’s just get to know each other for the time being.” She said with a smile before taking a seat next to her. “So tell me about yourself.”

The third member was late and there team leader was still unknown to Astha as well she would lift and move slightly away when Vicki sat down next too her; not knowing her too well just yet it was a welcoming idea to converse with her.

After a few looks and stints of akward silence Astha would stand up in a matter of factly manner and look at Vicki with a smile.

"What better way to get too know each other through a little adventure?

There was no waiting however and Astha would let it be known grabbing vickis hand and pulling her off the bench and pointing outside the village a place they were not suppose to freely leave but what was life without a little fun and suspense.

Vicktoria started feeling a bit awkward when the girl just sat there and stared. One moment you were singing and the next you’re as silent as night, you are indeed a strange one. She thought to herself before letting out a soft sigh. It seemed as if she would have her work cut out for her but that wouldn’t deter her as she was determined to make friends with her teammates, no matter how odd they were. As she was about to say something to her teammate she was abruptly cut off and was pulled up from the bench. “Uhh, I don’t think that would be a good idea Astha. I’m not that strong so if anything happens we could get killed.” Well, there was a 100% chance they could get killed.

Thinking it over, the two would most likely get killed however that didn't mean they could not venture out they simply would have to rain check the idea. Astha would place a finger on her chin in deep thought as she slowly began to hum looking around she nearly had forgotten they were at the training area and with that a idea sprung.

"Well....how about we train and when we are strong enough to go out then we rain check the idea?."

Astha would place her water bottle to her lips taking a small swig of the remaining liquid within and twisting the cap back on before looking at her teammate Vicki for a reply.

A soft sigh of relief escaped her lips when the girl seemed to have listened to reason. Even if she hadn’t listened to she to her she had no intentions of following her to her death. Though her next idea was a pretty good idea. “Sure we can do some training. That’s a pretty good idea.” She said with a smile before pausing. “Um, do you have a specific fighting style? Like I’m more of a physical fighter since I’m a samurai ” She knew that the young woman was a Zakiyoshi but they had many ways of fighting so she was interested to know what path she chose.

Thinking for a second on the style she was yet too properly formulate for a few seconds Astha would come to a conclusion after a few seconds. "I guess I like to stay out of the way hidden. Until I came lead the target astray in a way. But it's all a theory how about a spar to try out our styles?"

Astha would sit up stretching her body and getting ready to move around if need be seeing as how some ninja could sling crazy justu she would need to be ready for anything. Giving a look at Vicki Astha would try and check out her teammates gear anything that she saw could possibly help in her next spar.

It sounded like they had similar fighting styles, albeit she was positive that it would be applied differently based on the fact that they were fundamentally different individuals. Nevertheless, she would nod and reaching for the bow that was strapped to her back. Before she drew the bow, however, she would quickly rethink her decision. Sure that was perhaps her primary and only means of fighting but to use her samurai weapon in a training spar was well a bit reckless, especially at the level they were at. As such she would simply move towards her at d rank speeds and attempted to sweep her feet away, hoping to force her to the ground.

Astha had not noticed the bow on the back of her new teamate but she had not been really paying attention to say the least. She watched for a moment her fingers moving in the air as the tension begin to build due too the start of the fight. Once Vicki begin putting the bow away Astha would sigh in relief before being caught by suprise and sweeped off of her feet. The speed that her teamate was moving at was faster than her own but astha was never fast and she knew this; she would hit the ground with a thud. Giving a grunt and starting to expel outward a white mist from her mouth before rolling too the left to avoid any attacks before standing up. With the mist in play Astha would be able too hopefully attack.

She had allowed the girl to roll out of way to see what she would’ve done as a counter. The mist was a good idea, however, it wasn’t going to do much against someone like her as she was able to see through the mist. With that said she would turn towards the young girl and ran towards her again at D rank speeds but this time instead of sweeping her legs away she attempted to punch her in the stomach, as lightly as possible of course as she didn’t want to hurt her new teammate during this training session.

Upon being hit Astha qould simply stand still and slowly expel more mist into the area going from the D rank version which was 40 feet too the C rank one which was 80 feet. After doing this she would notice her teamate moving in again however without a higher level of reaction tier he would no longer too see amongst the mist along with this the area would begin heating up and Astha would take time picking out a location in order too begin a attack pulling out a kunai and throwing it blunted end first at her teammates gut if it hit it woukd hurt but would not be fatal.

It would seem that her teammate was one rather tough cookie, then again what did she expect since her punches didn’t have that much behind them in the first place. It was obvious that if this went on long enough she would be at a major disadvantage as such she decided that she would attempt to end it with this maneuver, would it be enough? Who knew? But she didn’t have much to do outside of using her samurai weapon, which in this context would possibly hurt her and that was the furthest thing she wanted for her teammate.

Unfortunately for Astha, the amount she expelled still wouldn’t have been enough to obscure her vision as she had means of seeing through the mist thanks to her superior reaction tiers. With that established she would pull out a kunai of her own and tossed it towards hers to deflect it. After that was done she would move towards the girl and would tackle her to the ground in an attempt to restrain her.

Upon noticing Vicki moving directly toward her Astha woukd flinch and be taken too the ground, there was no way that Astha could hide from her new teammate and also their speed was too big a differance at the current time to even attempt to keep this going. The mist would slowly dissipate and Astha would if let up stand and begin dusting herself off.

"Your really good, guess i need more training."

Astha would move back toward the bench and sit with a exaggerated sigh if she had been getting hit for real she would be even more tired.

"Maybe you can help me move fast like you do?"

Having won their little duel, Vicktoria would release her teammate before helping her up. She felt a bit bummed out that she was able to easily dismiss the girl’s effort but they were young and she was positive that her teammate would use this as a learning curve and get better. “Sure! I’ll be happy to help you with that. Thankfully it’s more a physical thing so we should be able to get you up to speed.” She said with a smile before motioning her to come forward. “First you gotta limber up and do a couple of stretches.” She said waiting for the girl to do what was asked.
