[Zardteak/Zardkeanu] - Brothers in Arms... and Tails

Teak and Keanu both jumped, Keanu rushing over to make sure Sha was okay and Teak looking around even more now to try to find where the attacker(s) were. He caught onto the sight of the spear trailing back and ran after it, trying to grab the spear but losing sight of it in the brush and trailing back to regroup. Keanu meanwhile was getting Sha up and helping her to another spot to rest against a tree in the opposite direction from where Teak was heading. When Teak regrouped, he mentioned seeing the pear being dragged away in a direction and then losing track of it.

Zardsha would be carried away by Zardkeanu however on the way back to them another whistling sound was heard as the spear would be thrown right into Zardteak's back causing him to also cry out in painat the brutal attack. Clearly what was hunting them was quite the ambush predator though it seemed this time the spear was actually slowly dragging Zardteak back with it rather than simply being removed from his body. In the tree Koadamz would smirk as he managed to hit two of the three prey he had spotted but he knew exactly when to cut his losses. He would try to retrieve this one while the other Lizardkin tried to help out the first one he speared, this way he would minimize the threats he had to take on at once. He was confident in his spear work, but not to the degree that he would be able to fight a three on one battle, no that was a bit much even for someone like him. Zardsha was in a lot of pain and didn't understand how it happened, but would try to shed the pain away the best she could, she knew that as a species they were quite durable and she had never been hurt like this in her life.

Keanu heard Teak's cry for pain and cursed under his breath, whispering for Sha to wait there and darting out of the brush to go after Teak. Thankfully whoever was dragging him away was taking the heaviest one. Teak was also trying to unhook himself while screaming out and rolling to make it harder to drag him. Keanu ran past Teak and towards the thing dragging him away and attempted to tackle them.

The combination of the tugging as well as Zardteak trying to get free would allow him to do just that, unfortunate Zardkeanu wouldn't be able to tackle their ambusher due to him being in the tree but he would tackle the tree causing Koadamz to actually fall out of the branch he was standing on. He would sneer at the Lizardkin while withdrawing the rest of his spear before trying to apply his last poison berry to his spear. @##$$#$!" Koadamz said trying to intimidate Zardkeanu, hopefully if he ran away and left the other ones he would be able to get a clean hunt without having to actually fight, but he would if he had to.

Keanu didn't understand what the other creature seemed to be saying and didn't care. He wasn't going to let the two Lizardkin he was with off with this thing. A snarl back and he reached out to grab at the spear to stop Koadamz from putting whatever it was on the spear that seemed to make the other two hurt. If he was successful at grabbing the spear he'd try to rip it out of their hands.

Koadamz would end up being interrupted by one of the Lizardkin reaching out and grabbing his spear causing him to grit his teeth and try to pull it back in order to counteract Zardkeanu, when that didn't work he would lunge forward mouth wide in order to bite the Lizardkin's snout hopefully the pain would cause Zardkeanu to let go. If not then Koadamnz would just have to clamp on so that he could make the injury worse and perhaps having a bloody nose would result in him letting go.

Keanu tried to jerk back, to avoid his nose getting bitten by this thing. He'd use that movement to pull the spear too, might as well do so with the extra force in trying to avoid the other creature's maw clamping over his like some dangerous death kiss with extra teeth on the side. If he failed to dodge, Keanu let out a hiss and almost let go of the spear but then tightened his grip to prevent the creature from trying to snatch the spear away. If anything, he'd free up a hand to try to swat or punch the creature in the side of their face. Teak, seemed to be struggling, but would try to scramble around and chomp the creature on the ankle to help Keanu on the struggle.

It was unfortunate that Lizardkin weren't the most agile of monsters, in fact that were actually quite clumsy as such Zardkeanu wouldn't be able to dodge the bite and would let out a hiss which was mirrored by his opponent when Zardteak managed to get close an bite him on the ankle. Koadamnz would snarl while biting on more so that he could turn Zardkeanu's snout into a bloody mess while pulling backward so if the Lizardkin tried to keep pulling he would only end up hurting himself more. As for the one biting his ankle all he could do was adjust how he was standing and would stomp his non-bitten foot on Zardteak's throat before essentially using him as a means to brace himself while he continued his tug of war match. He knew the other Zard was quite injured and thus it might be enough to make the other Zard reconsider keeping his jaws on Koadamz ankle, if not well another stomp and he probably wouldn't be an issue any longer. It seemed like a battle of attrition was starting and while Zardkeanu was just as healthy as Koadamz, Zardteak wasn't so fortunate due to the injury he had sustained earlier and the poison which was no longer coursing through his body. Still Koadamz was confident despite him not understanding why the other Lizardkin didn't just run away, his friends were deadweight and he had a chance to survive if he had just ran didn't he understand that?

Keanu barely had much time to assess his options. He looked to Teak and the newest of his group, Sha. A snarl curled up on his scaly maw. Both of them were in awful condition and they were being hunted like they were food. They weren't food! Teak let out a pained gasp and rolled over on his back, no longer biting down on the goblin. Keanu valued his adventure so far with Teak, and Sha joining with them made things even more special. But for this to be Sha's first hunt only to be the hunted was unacceptable.

That's what made Keanu really upset with the situation. He let out a scream, that was probably as feral as a warcry could be and charged at the goblin. He ducked under, despite the goblin's teeth digging into his snout and pushed into him wit all his weight in attempts to topple the goblin over, hoping that his ankle was weakened to help set him off balance. With the closing distance, Keanu also made a reach to hook his arms under the goblin's, making it harder to use the spear. The issue, if he was successful, was pinning the goblin to the ground and keeping him there.

Due to holding on to Zardkeanu's snout with his jaws Koadamz would be unable to dodge was quite annoyed by the turn of events as he would be toppled over with the Lizardkin rolling on top of him. Unfortunately for Zardkeanu he would be unable to keep his enemy pinned down and through some wriggling and strength of his own Koadamnz would manage to get up though he had to let go of Zardkeanu's snout which was now bleeding. Koadamnz would back up initially being wary of the Zard but rather than attack him he would use his spear to stab Zardteak in the throat ending it's life. "### @#$% $@% %%$ @@#$ ?!" the Koanilith would speak in a guttural language trying to convince Zardkeanu to flee lest he end up like his friend though the words couldn't be understood the gestures Koadamz made were enough to get the message across.

Koadamz would then prepare himself if Zardkeanu didn't flee due to his comrade dying though this time he wouldn't try to dodge if he was attacked again and would simply thrust his spear when it got attacked knowing that it was key to his victory if it turned into a slug fest.

The Skill Koadamz used:

A sting of pain and a snort forced blood out of his nose. His snout was definitely broken. Keanu watched the goblin make the mistake of murdering his brood brother. He crouched to all fours to take a more feral stance. He didn't want to let this thing get away, with Teak or at all, just so it can live another day to hunt another one of their kind. A hard couple of strides in a dash at the goblin and a sudden stop, Keanu used his tail to throw dirt up from the ground and aiming for the goblin's eyes.

Without hesitation and carrying momentum with him, he twisted in a tight circle, keeping low and aimed for the goblin's ankle that Teak was working on. He body kept in rotation and aimed to slug the goblin off balance with his tail and a foot out to kick or press on the spear. Either way, this fight was going to be messy and Keanu wasn't too certain that he was going to make it. But if he could wound the goblin enough to make it get hunted by something else before it could heal, then that would let him rest easier if he did die.

Sha herself was resting, barely managing to turn herself around to watch the fight and shed some of her scales to heal a bit. Maybe if she could get up, she could try to bring that thing down with Keanu. But not right now, not yet.

Koadamz saw that his opponent wasn't going to quit as such he would prepare especially when his opponent started charging at him taking a low stance and bracing for impact, of the actions Zardkeanu attempted to do only one of them was successful which was using her tail to try to throw sand in Koadamz face. Fortunately it would work causing the Koanlith to hiss as his eyes began to sting but the complex maneuver of using his tail to push his opponent while biting his ankle wouldn't be successful. The two of them would collide with one another in a mess of limbs, with Koadamz being unable to bring his spear to bear due to the sand in his eyes whereas Zardkeanu had missed his timing and was now upside down. While he was unable to see Koadamz would bite out blindly managing to secure a grip on Zardkeanu's tail with his jaws and would bite down hard enough to try and secure another bleeding wound. It was a pity as due to the bleeding wounds even if Zardkeanu managed to attack him he would bleed out in his victory. But that was just it, it seemed Zardkeanu was quite spiteful and would drag his killer to hell with him leaving Zardsha as the only survivor of their hunt...
