Day in the life of Takeshi

“The hunt never ends, does it?” Takeshi muttered to himself as he tied up the group of kids that had tried to leave Hakagakure. It had been a couple of years since he became a Hunter Nin and each hunt was the exact same. A group of kids being tired of growing up in the Graves and wanted to seek some sort of adventure outside. They wanted to become famous shinobi and build their own village from scratch. Others just wanted power and were enticed by the stories of the Pandora Empire and the power it held. He didn’t blame them, to be honest, who wouldn’t want power? But it was his duty to stop them but that didn’t mean that he couldn’t take it easy on them now did it? “I need a vacation.” Takeshi mumbled as he finished up the last girl and placed her with the rest. Now how was he going to carry all these kids back home?

If the hunter-nin looked a little bit further into the distance he would notice a hole, large enough for a rather fat person to slip into about forty or so feet north. Now whether he wanted to seal the bodies or leave the unconscious children behind after all if he knocked them out really good they shouldn't stir for quite a while and if he killed them well then all he'd have to worry about is some creature eating the remains. Or he could suppress his natural instinct as a shinobi to be curious and return to his village reporting that his retrieval mission was a success, ultimately it was his choice but perhaps through sating his curiosity he might just get something interesting in return.

The moment he had decided to just carry the kids back home, he noticed a hole in the ground in the distance. Takeshi wasn’t one that was enticed by curiosity but there was a thought in the back of his mind that was pushing him to investigate. Who knew, maybe it was the hideout of other missing ninja in the area. Since the kids were out cold, he decided to take a look down the hole and would make his way towards it before jumping down the hole, hoping that whatever it was that was down there he would be prepared to face it.

As he got into the hole he would find himself falling for quite a distance, and end up in a cave like structure with various boulders and rocks surrounding him, in the center of these various rock formations there was a oddly shaped rock. It was very much shaped like an egg though it was obvious that if it was in fact an egg whatever laid it was massive seeing as it was the size of a small child. Either way, why it had been left alone in this place was unknown after all it didn't seem like there was any sort of food around and the wasteland that was the Land of the Graves was very difficult to find food for a juvenile creature. Unless the parent was around here somewhere, then again it didn't seem likely as it was fairly dusty as if this hole had only appeared due to a cave in of some sort and that this egg shaped rock had been buried here for quite some time.

That was quite the fall. Takeshi thought to himself as he finally managed to reach the end of the rabbit hole. Upon landing he would scan the rather strange looking area he ended up in and would immediately notice the egg shaped rock. On closer inspection, he noticed that it wasn’t an egg shaped rock but an actual egg a pretty massive egg at that. Unsure as to why it was left here but he was tempted to just leave the egg be and head back to the surface, but he was also tempted to take it, after all, it seemed as if it was just abandoned here and if there was one thing he could relate to was abandonment. After a few moments of deliberation, he decided to take the egg and looked to see if there was anything else around, hopefully, an exit.

When he touched the egg that looked like a stone it would shake a bit, before a crack appeared in it and if that caused him to back up it would continue to shake and crack more until the baby creature inside of it managed to emerge. It wasn't anything native to the Land of Origins at least it didn't seem like it was, not to mention with the way the Land of Graves was it probably was an ancient creature which died out  leaving the egg in hibernation until feasible conditions arrived. Or an external stimulus provoked it into hatching, like for instance the shinobi who had decided to take it. Once it emerged it would look at Takeshi, and would end up imprinting on him as he was the first thing it saw upon hatching thus fulfilling the niche of "mother" in it's developing mind.

Crystal Basarios:

Well, that was interesting, to say the least. Takeshi thought as he found himself in a staring contest with whatever it was that popped out of the egg. By the looks of it, it seemed to be friendly, almost a tad bit too friendly as it was staring at Takeshi in a manner a child would look at its mother, he didn’t know if he should be flattered or creeped out. Settling for both, he would signal to the creature to follow him as he looked for an exit and when he did find one, he would leave the cave with the beast and headed back home with the kids he had captured.

The Crystal Basarios would follow him first a bit unsteady and it would topple over but it would let out a small cry of embarrassment before picking itself up once more and trying its best to follow after him. Then again it wasn't as fluid as Takeshi seeing as he wasn't exactly made of flesh and bones, or was he not like the C. Basarios would know considering it had never seen a Zireh before. Sure instinctively it had combat capabilities all creatures did from the moment they are born sure baby creatures were less experienced but they had the capabilities of their adults albeit usually far weaker in application. But with guidance this particular creature could actually become a useful asset for Takeshi even if it was somewhat clumsy but such things would gradually fade away in time, unless of course if it was innate among the species considering they seemed to be so bulky.

Takeshi would look back when he heard the cry of the beast and when he noticed that it was struggling to bearings straight he would chuckle before shaking his head. He never had a pet before and it was obvious that this would be a huge responsibility but having stumbling upon it, he would have to assume the responsibility to be there for it as it had no one and he understood the feeling of having no one all too well. He would spend a few moments with the creature and once it seemed to have mastered walking on its own he would head home with his new friend and the kids he captured.
