| - Clan/Family/Tribe Relationships:
Positive Lineage Allies: An alliance in which the parties share a common lineage, yet remain separate usually in the case of a Clan and a Family. This type of alliance transcends villages or factions as both will not fight each other regardless of affiliation at best they will simply be neutral even if their respective factions are currently at war or mortal enemies. Outside of factions these clans are extremely close and consider each other to be extended family, and arranged marriages are common in order to re-strengthen the bonds between the two when fresh blood is needed to minimize the risk for recessive traits. Trading between the clans is both exclusive & collaborative & information is traded freely. They may intermarry except in regards to the line of succession and clan secrets are often shared but also collaborated on in full in order to mutually progress both clans as a result collaboration techniques between the clans will always exist. This is the strongest form of alliances between clans.
True Allies: Any sort of alliance which has stood the test of time over 5 Centuries with no dissolution from either party. This type of alliance transcends villages or factions as both will not fight one another regardless of affiliation at best they will simply be neutral even if their respective factions are currently at war or mortal enemies. Outside of factions these clans are close and are known to interact and look out for one another similar to how those within the same clan look out for their clan members. Trading between the clans is both exclusive & collaborative & information is traded freely. They do not intermarry, nor do they share clan secrets with one another, however collaboration techniques between the two clans do exist. This is the second strongest form of alliance between clans, and the strongest available to those without a common lineage/ancestor.
Traditional Allies: Any sort of alliance which has been formed over a century without any dissolution form any of the parties. This type of alliance may transcend factions & villages as while in neutral times members of this alliance will not fight each other during war they may do so albeit going for non-lethal options and preferring to take prisoners which can be bargained for information or other trades on behalf of their village/faction. Trading between the clans is exclusive only if all parties are not currently affiliated with villages while information is traded freely if within the same faction, village or if all parties are wandering but will be limited otherwise.
Fresh Allies: Any sort of alliance which has been formed within a century whether as a result of an arranged marriage, bond as a result of village/faction association, prominent or ruling clan on the same squad/team and thus wishing to retain such bonds upon attaining clan leadership, aide within a Clan war or any other factors. Fresh Allies typically are only allies for a limited time but typically they vary to associating with one another but do not transcend village or factions. They will be hostile if their factions/villages are hostile and depending on how strong said alliance is often the alliance will be dissolved as a result of such situations. Information & general trade occur at a limited level only within the same faction/village with the latter being inclusive to other groups within the faction/village.
Negative Mortal Enemies - Any sort of Blood Feud which has lasted over 5 centuries turns into this sort of enemity in which the tension between the clans boils over to the point of no reconcilation. The two are essentially indoctrinated to hate each other at a young age and regardless of faction or village they will always hate each other, to the point of often one Clan joining a rival side just for the opportunity to battle against the other. Fights amongst the two are almost always to the death of one or both parties and when accompanied by others they typically single each other out while leaving their respective allies to fight their opposites. Intermarriage is forbidden punishable by death of all parties involved and information and techniques are almost always geared at combating their mortal enemies or giving them an edge in a potential conflict.
Blood Feud - A conflict can start for any number of reasons however once sparked if it is not resolved within a century and ends up being passed down to their respective offspring it develops into a blood feud. Chances are it will never get resolved as when one side seems to settle scores the other side may renew conflicts. Blood Feud's transcend faction or village association as even within the same faction these conflicts will still occur though often during missions or in neutral grounds fought covertly. However if one of those parties involved gains a position of power then faction/village wide persecution of the other party(ies) will occur often leading to genocide, coups and mass bloodshed if the other parties do not outright leave. Intermarriage is forbidden punishable by death of the parties from the Clan they are blood feuding with and severe punishment, exile or death to those within the clan depending on how close they were to the line of succession (Clan Head get's head rights revoked, Heir would be exiled, others would be put to death) and often information and techniques are geared at combating their mortal enemies or giving them an edge in a potential conflict.
Enemies - Enemies become so typically as a result of clan wars, fighting over territory, village or faction association. They are hostile to each other and will attack however they aren't the prime concern in times of peace unless provoked. Inter-marriage is heavily frowned upon however if prisoners are taken from a rival clan often they can be bred if they have traits that the other clan finds usual in order to produce slaves or servants as a means to spite their enemies. This can occur before or after said captives are tortured for information and clan secrets. Information is restricted, though welcome only if it gives one party an edge against another and often it is acquired by captives or dealing with information brokers when the opportunity presents itself, though the parties generally do not seek out such finds. These sort of enemies can progress into a Blood Feud if tensions continue to increase over a period of time without cease, but typically it's dissolved if a result of a village war/faction war and the two broker a peace or cease fire treaty.
Rivals - Rivals is the lowest form of conflict between two clans and often stems from disagreements typically based on a shared trait or faith as well as conflicting ideals or jealousy. They will compete, and try to prove their clan is better however usually they do not seek the death of the other clan members but won't spare them either if the opportunity presents itself. It all depends on the whim of the clan member, intermarriage is rare but not unheard of and is typically the method of ending such rivalries before it can progress into something worse. Information is typically not gathered by either party unless in dire circumstances or at least to keep track of the rival clan(s) actions so that their clan does not lag behind.
Any clan which doesn't have a pairing with another clan is Neutral to that clan. Clan Heirs can add suggestions to alter the political dynamics of their clan in question so long as they've had IC interactions with the other clan(s) they wish to alter said relationship with.
