Conditions:

Ka would walk through the desert, his feet sinking into the sand with each step as the wind picking up grains of sand pelting into his face. So he would lift his arm to shield his eyes from the sand and would look back towards his team mate and travelling companion. "So how do you know when we'll be near one of these Cephalos? He said actually curious of how she was able to track beings that were under ground, it was a good idea to have that kind of technique, lots of opponents in the world were bound to have techniques to hide underground.

"Barrier Ninjutsu, number one underrated technique art. It's also what helped me keep track of Cherish in the exams, and what I'd be able to use to notice Ada's vectors even when they aren't physical. If you like I could teach it to you?" Jazz said offhandedly knowing that their teammates vectors was a source of aggravation to Ka, truthfully Jazz didn't need the barrier anymore what with her recent discovery of her additional methods of sensory but Ka didn't need to know that. "Either way, I just set it up so when they get close enough, I'll know and I'll tell you." she said her hands still holding the back of her neck as she walked. While she walked she would continue thinking about the exams and her being an ambassador, she wanted to get her mission count up so that she could be an official jonin before she left. But she wasn't in a rush as she wanted to network first, it would do her well to get additional training before she set off as well, it was going to be hostile territory even if she was technically protected from harm lest they risk causing a diplomatic incident.

"Maybe some other time, for the time being let's just focus on finding this creature" Ka said as he continued to walk through the desert, his arm still hovering in front of his face to shield his eyes from the wind and sand. Sure the thought of being able to track Ada's vectors would defiantly be useful, and now knowing this was how she was able to track her opponent's other movements with ease made him respect the girl a bit more. He knew that Jazz was capable of passing the exams, but he just didn't expect her to become Jounin just like that, now he was getting a better idea of why. However as he walked through the sand, his foot would hit something which caused him to trip and hit the sand. "Sunova" He said before spitting sand out of his mouth, then wanting to see what caused him to fall, Ka would shift the sand around the object(s) hidden in the sand.

"Hm, alright though chances are it'll find us first they are pretty docile unless you stumble upon their territory. Unless their alpha is around that's what the book said Cephadromes pretty much lead them around so if we run into one well, it means it just got a heck of a lot more difficult." Jazz said before she noticed a plant in the distance and was about to point it out before Ka fell causing her to stifle a laugh. Instead of commenting on his very obvious fail she would instead go and look to see what sort of plant it was hopefully it was something she could use to her advantage, then again she didn't really get a chance as a genin to explore the area looking for rare plants or anything so now was as good a time as any to start.

Hahahaha he tripped. Stupid little kid...err...I mean, wow, I wonder what he just kicked. At first glance...little more then a rock. If he were to dig it out, it would still be a rock. Roughly about the size of his palm. Well, I need to be more accurate, it was half a rock. Cut clean in half, with the other half missing somewhere in the world. It was honestly just a normal C-Rank rock, nothing special about it, besides the fact that the flat face had a strange mark carved into it. As for Jazz, well the remains of a cactus would enter her barrier should she chose to loot from it. The spikes were all gone, and all that remained were the roots, filled with water. I hear they have quite an exotically plain taste. Pretty cool, huh? Anyway, roll again, see what comes up.

Ka continued to to brush the sand off the rock, it seemed rather small so perhaps there was more underneath. However when dug out the stone he would notice how it was cut clean in half with a weird marking on it, perhaps Jazz would know something about it. "Okay, so if we come across them. How do you want to handle this? You hanging back doing support while I rush? Or do you have another suggestion?" Ka said as he stood up putting the half cut rock into his pocket, didn't seem necessary to bother her about a pointless rock at the moment since she was mainly focused on finding the Cephalos.

"If you can break their necks I'd be grateful cutting wastes blood and they are fairly sizable so it would be a good haul for me to strengthen my puppets if nothing is wasted. I can provide support if that's what your okay with or I can fight up in the front with you, I'm honestly indifferent but Slug should be enough for this at least unless we run into a Cephadrome then I'll bring out Toad. Jazz said grasping the cactus gently with her right so she didn't prick herself before tapping her right wrist and storing it away in her Digitized Storage. She'd keep it until she returned home and maybe plant it in her garden, it was a cactus it had to have some sort of adverse effect and if not then she could at least harvest it's spines for making senbon.

"Well to be honest, hunting these creatures is a task for me. So if you could just hang back as support that would be great, gives me a chance to get rid of some pent up aggression" Ka said with a laugh as he pat the hilt of Bringr, who in turn would scold the boy in his mind."A brute like yourself is not going to be able to take on any sort of creature by himself" Ka would ignore the blade's insults in his head and turn back to the direction they were walking to begin with. "So now that we are further away from your clan, I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions?"

"Ah, alright. Just don't die it'll be a pain to have to deal with the paperwork." Jazz said with a shrug before she raised an eyebrow she noticed something on the edge of her field but not for long. She couldn't tell what it was but they had company so she figured she might as well let Ka know. "Looks like we won't be looking long. We have multiple incoming don't know what they are yet though but hey hopefully they are Cephalos." she said with a sigh as if helping out was a drag even though she was somewhat excited. Her hands remained in the same position behind her head though continuing the trend of her looking like she had no care in the world. "You know hindsight we should of asked if their was a mission to kill some of them would of at least given us even more of a reward you know. Pretty sure they are considered pests. What did you want to ask?"

From the distance, a small group would be walking towards them. They could be seen from a far way off since its a desert, and what not... In any case there were three in total, two dressed like scientists, and one dressed for the environment, fully covered up to protect him from the sun. As soon as the covered one noticed the pair walking, he'd throw out his arm, stopping the two scientists in their tracks while he proceed to near closer, getting within shouting range. "This is a protected area. You must leave immediately, else we will be required to use force." He stood his ground, though through his hidden appearance, it was impossible to gauge his confidence or feelings. From the clothing, he didn't appear to be from any villages, or shogunate, so maybe he wasn't an enemy, despite this being an enemy encounter roll...

"Well we wouldn't want to burden you with paperwork now would we?" Ka said with a chuckle as as he continued to walk through the desert. He was about to ask Jazz the question's running through his mind when she spoke up about incoming people heading their way, to which Ka would lower his arm so that he could see the three figures heading towards the duo. The figure dressed to the environment would call out to Jazz and Ka, warning them that the area is protected, which caused the young Jiko to scoff and turn towards Jazz. "Want to take the diplomatic path, or will we just blast through these guys?"

"Well, I should act my rank so, we'll be diplomatic and I'll push rank, if something doesn't add up we'll kill them." Jazz said tapping her flak jacket and moving her hands into her pockets and strolling forward a bit before piping up all traces of playful exuberance gone. "Protected area, within shinobi territory. Odd, I don't see any identification....state your rank, and station. Unless your hostility is because you aren't actually supposed to be here." she said her eyes narrowing a bit as she glanced at the visible threat namely the one covered from head to toe. Her eyes would glance from him to the scientists analyzing them like only someone of her caliber could. If they took to long to answer however she eyes would narrow further and the faintest haze of her shadow would manifest behind her still being transparent though it would still feel as if the air got just a bit heavier.

The individual would continue to walk towards them, reaching into his rob and pulling out a sheet of paper, no lethal intent made in the gesture. "A small area roughly 30 kilometers in diameter has been deemed as a protected area for the purpose of studying the breeding behaviors of local fauna, with hopes to find solutions to future population issues. This permission has been provided by the Kōhaigakure village." When he was close enough for them to see the paper he held out properly, as well as close enough for them to kill him in an instant, he would pause in his tracks, holding out his signed permission. "I am Ra'haiel, an elite Tobetsu Jonin within Kōhaigakure. With me are two of the village's finest tamer scientists." The two who were standing quite some way off couldn't hear a word he said. "Make no mistake, I have no intention of being hostile, I am only doing the job I have been assigned. May I ask for the same identification from you?"

Ka would raise an eye brow when the new comer stated that he was there to study the local fauna, which was perfect if you asked Ka himself. "What a coincidence, I'm actually looking to gather some specimens for a research project myself. Tell me, have you folks run into any Cephalos or Kukuchu? Looking for 2 or three of each for my purposes" Ka said walking towards Ra'haiel lowering his arm to show his Dipu headband. "My name is Bayi Kami, just heading back home from the Chunin exams with my micro companion here" Okay so he used his brother's name, just in case things went sour it was best to make sure that he wasn't implicated in any wrong doings. He would hold his hand out in hopes to shake Ra'haiel's hand, a simple gesture sure but at the same time ready to tear these people apart if the need arises. Although he wasn't sure how Jazz would feel about murdering a fellow shinobi, let's just hope it did not get that far.

Jazz would can his identification verifying if it was correct before pulling out her own in the form of the scroll she got detailing her recent promotion opening it and showing it to him though she didn't make a comment on Ka saying he wasn't Ka. Normally she would of glared at him but he had hi reasons albeit arbitrary for not wanting to reveal his name. "Jazz D. Kukinorite Probationary Jonin. Sorry for disturbing your work, though the information would help on their location if you don't know we will leave didn't realize this was a mission." Jazz said glancing at Ka being so forward with his introduction sure they were comrades and all but the guy was on a mission that they were now probably distracting him from, he could at least show some restraint. Then again restraint wasn't really Ka's thing so she supposed it fit.

"Ah yes. The Kukinorite girl. You caused quite a fuss during the exams. We were reading about it yesterday. I'm sorry, I don't recall you however." He mustn't have made it passed the qualifiers I suppose. "In any case, Cephalos are currently protected whilst we perform our studies, so unless you have permission from our kage, I cannot allow you to near one. Kukuchu however, are a pest which I would be happy to point out to you. If you're interested in that of course?" This damn preliminary jonin...I suppose technically she was on par with his own rank? Or maybe even higher. He just can't figure out how to address her considering no one has ever seen this kind of position before. Whoever judged these exams must have been retarded or something. Yeah, fuck those guys.

Ka said with a chuckle as the guy left him hanging on the handshake, that bothered the Jiko more then being denied a creature he was expecting to capture. Lack of manners. So he would lower his arm so they rested at his sides as he kept the grin on his face, seemed like having Jazz around gave enough pull for a location of the Kukuchu that he required. Perhaps if he ever returned to anguish he would be lucky enough to come across the Cephalos like he needed. "Well we'd appreciate if you could lead us to the Kukuchu. I'll have to try my luck elsewhere for the Cephalos"

"Ah, well I try. Like Bayi said that's fine, it was just an errand we were hoping to run while making our way back to Dipugakure, I'm escorting him home considering genin aren't allowed outside of village borders without supervision." Jazz said smiling at the fact that she was now more well known it was what she had intended anyways hence why she showed off so much. She would wonder if her final opponent got some acclaim as well, then again she did earn a moniker for herself as well. The Death Touch, that was one of the things she was looking forward to when she got back to Dipugakure at least, sparring with her should work wonders on her Kugujutsu abilities and her own physical ones as well.

He was trusting them a little too much of course, considering the fact that his eyes had a negative mutation, making it impossible to see the anything in his first layer of vision. X-Ray vision gone wrong, essentially, but no matter. With a lift of his hand, the two scientists would come over taking about a minute to do so. "When they arrive, i would appreciate it if you could show your paper to them, so that they may confirm your identity. Then we shall take the two of you. The beasts are not far from here, generally in large numbers within caved areas." As the two tamer scientists caught up, they would introduce themselves. "Sere'na, Pleasure to make your acquaintance." "David. I'm obviously not a desert local. Nice to meet you." People who were brought up in this area tend to have a slight accent and unusual names. Not to mention the sexy tanned skin and what not.

The girl, Serena I think her name was was defiantly cute to say the least, and the male was a looker as well, however the appearance of these two really didn't matter to Ka. All he was concerned about now was getting the start of these caves that their guide was going to direct both himself and Jazz to. "Any tips for the Kunuchu(?)? Looking to get these as quickly as possible before heading off"

"Understood." Jazz said, waiting for a short while until they arrived causing her to look them over, one local one not so local. "Jazz, it is nice to meet you two as well." she said before allowing Ka to take point, after all he was the one more so interested in hunting the creatures. She would follow him as he followed them and they would arrive at the cave where she would review her puppetry designs in her boredom. Truth be told she was more so looking forward to hunting the Cepalos, bugs weren't exactly on her agenda not that she disliked them but she didn't have a use for them at the moment their blood wasn't compatible with her puppets so they were useless to her. That went for all bug like creatures like worms, ants whatever the structures were just too different from say mammals or reptiles or other advanced organisms.

They would lead them to the caves making small talk here and there, when conversation was low, they would review their data for their return to work. Soon the two scientists will crack the code and find the solution of the pest problem, hopefully saving all the village livestock for many years to come. Or not, in any case, I better tell you the tips. "For the most part, they aren't hostile. However if you near one, they will all generally come to try and scare you off." "They tend to play dead, so be weary of that. They move slowly when walking, but often curl into a ball and roll over larger distances, this also allows them to change directions in an instant. Their shell is quite hard as well." "You won't have a problem with them. Here's the cave, last time we checked there was a small possi near the entrance. I wouldn't suggest going too deep into the cave, unless you're after a fight that may be out of your league." The creatures of the deep underground. Large desert herds use caves as their dens, not a good idea to go exploring. "We need to get back to work. But I hear their is a Cephalos infestation in Malice as well, should you be willing to tread through Dobutsu territory."

Ka would walk behind the trio as they led Jazz and himself to the caves where the Kunuchu bugs were rumored to reside, keeping his gauntleted hand on Dragon tail's hilt just in case they were ambushed by any other creatures. They would explain how the insects acted, which was good to know for sure, allowed Ka the chance to adjust his battle plan accordingly. Perhaps he could rush the bugs and take them out quickly, then again he would work as a distraction while Jazz made the killing blows. So many choices to be made, and so little time to do them. They had already wasted enough time in this desert, and he was getting anxious on getting home. So once they would arrive at the cave entrance, the leader of the trio would explain to Ka that there was a cephalos infestation in the land of Malice, known to be a land filled with Dobutsu. "Okay, well thanks for the help anyways, we'll have to try our luck elsewhere for the rest of the creatures we need"

Jazz would wave bye to the people and would proceed into the cave, she herself wasn't looking forward to straying too far into said cave after all it wasn't worth the trouble. At least not unless she was going to be paid for it, sure she had been dismayed to find that they wouldn't be able to hunt the Cephalos but at the very least perhaps during her return trip to Kohai she could possibly secure a mission to hunt them at a later date. So..would you like any assistance in this or would you prefer to deal with the bugs yourself. Just asking, in case you have some frustration to work out or something. she said her hands still at the back of her neck and looking at Ka with slight amusement as she knew he was disgruntled at the fact that he wouldn't be able to hunt the Cephalos. If I can I'll see if they are offering a higher rank mission to deal with them when I get back to Kohai, if they are and we are free then we can take it together along with some others as back up.

Ka couldn't help but let out a laugh when Jazz asked if he wanted to take on the bugs by himself in case he had frustrations to work out, sure he was upset about not being able to grab the thing he wanted while in the area, but not enough to try and get himself killed in the process. "I can handle them myself, however if you see an opening that I don't then by all means lend a hand" He said as he started walk into the cave that the scientists had specified, however he would not go very far as it was not necessarily safe to venture too deep, could be dangerous, find a beast that was beyond his or Jazz's abilities to take out. He would stop and lean up against the walls of the cave and look at his team mate. "So are you going to tell me what exactly happened to you that made you change who you were?"He asked genuinely curious about that one eighty in personality that he had noticed with Jazz, he was going to ask her before, but was stopped by the scientists that they ran into.
