The Cavern [Open]

Neo slowly made his way through the moderately busy streets of the moonlight, weaving through back alleyways and dodging people with ease as he walked. Not gonna lie, tonight, he was looking especially classy. It was only a few minutes later that he'd finally managed to reach the all to familiar billboards and signage, pressing lightly against the door to his regular night. The Cavern. Neo stood at the door's entrance, looking in and scan for talent. Yes, this isn't exactly our main protagonist, but rather Light, the better half. His hair was layered and thrown over his shoulders, left free to flow down his back so long as it stays out of his face. He wore no eyepatch like the rest, proud to show both his eyes, both red in colour, one with the sclera as dark as any night sky. With a brimming smile, he'd give a nod to Charlie, the man behind the bar, before floating over to his usual seat, let open with a little reservation note upon it.

It was right infront of the waitress stand of course. Where the mother prepares orders, and the three daughters come to take the food and drink off to tables. Prime seats if you ask me. Naturally Becky would be there of course. "Oh hello Becky-chan, your looking absolutely stunning tonight...as always." It wouldn't take long for a drink to be in his hands, before his spun around, beaming a stupid smile that no one else could provide seriously, as he looked over the other patrons for whom will escort him to bed, if luck permits it. Light was an attractive man all things considered, even with the eye, his personality somehow made it an overlooked aspect. As usual with such a classy man, he wore almost a suit, collared shirt, a nice tie, dress pants and shoes and an expensive vest he'd managed to find back at envoy before he left. It most likely belonged to some important noble of the court, but meh, who gives a fuck, it was wasted on anyone else.

Ryuu had spotted Light at the bar entrance from his yard next door to The Cavern, and knew he was going to be in there for a while so he would continue his late night work out before getting something to eat. He was only a dozen pull ups left to do in his work out anyways, why not let the gigalo play for a bit. A lot had happened in the young dakars life but he wasn't going to let anguish get to him just yet, he wouldn't let his past get the better of him. Each pull up was just another memory flashing before his eyes, not all bad, but painful to him none the less. Better, he had to get better then he was before.

After he finished his workout and had gotten himself a nice appetite, Ryuu would sneak through the back door of the bar into the kitchen. He worked there as a bus boy on most nights, but was given the night off so he could work out and rest before having to clean up the bar at 10 am. He would move through the kitchen, he would grab himself a basket of fries and chicken fingers before walking out into the bar. He was greeted by his cousin Babette by a big smile and a rather uncomfortable hug before he would make his way towards Light's table. "Evening Light-san, are you here to spend more of your money here? I know Aunty always enjoys when you come to visit"

Light would be forced to turn back around and face the bar at the smell of incoming food. After having a solid minute of eye fucking someone in the back corner, he was a bit famished. Before even bothering to address him, Light would leave over and grab a chip from his little collection, holding no hesitation in gulping it down before it could be recovered. "Of course she does Ryuu-kun, she loves wringing me dry...of all my xel that is. After all, it would be kinda stupid to suck all the moisture out of the body of your best customer, then they won't be able to continue coming. Pun intended." He'd shoot a quick wink at Danielle before she'd huddle away. She'll come round eventually... He'd think to himself, sculling down almost a full glass of whatever he seemed to be drinking, before another was slid along the bar no thanks to an attentive tender over there. What a nice place this was.

"Ahhh, Prepaid drinking is the best." Light would smile at Ryuu, rubbing his hair for a bit before taking another sip of his new drink, cringing slight at its strength. "Ugh, that ones nasty. Anyway Ruey, your looking tough, did'ya just go for a few pumps or something?" Honestly, he doesn't even know what he's drinking. He just dropped down a deposit, and they keep them coming at random. They may very well be ripping him off completely, but nah, Charlie is too trusting. Becky on the other hand, she'd fuck him over for money any day. But hey, when it comes down to he, he'd be more then willing to accept those terms. Ha Ha. Light! Your gonna make Neo-sama sick, stop drinking so much. The irritable yet responsible voice in the back on his mind stuck again. Gotta love her though. Adaption Rii, we adapt to it, I drink enough to kill a bear and get fuzzy, even then it flushes out in no time. Neo's body will be fine, I'm more worried about my bank. Whose? Yeah, I guess Jax is the only one making their money.

What the shit was this guy doing? Eating his fries without so much as a please? Ryuu had been working out all evening and deserved himself a snack, and this guy filches it, what a guy. Lights innuendo's would fall upon deaf ears, as he knew very little about what light was suggesting. He would however still kick the butt-head's leg though, not for the comment's but for taking the fry. "Hey dick cheese, this is my food, pay for your own" He said as he brought a piece of chicken to his mouth, examining the crowd within. Mainly men, most likely mercenaries hootin' and hollering as they boasted about their past conquests. A few women, who like his relatives were the town bicycles, everyone has ridden them. Well all except for Ryuu of course, who was all obsessed about making himself better then he was; well that and he was freakin' ten years old.

Light would speak up about Ryuu's appearance and smiled as if he was being praised for doing a good job. "Yeah, been working out all day, tryin to get as strong as those people who killed all those bad guys back home" It was no secret to those that knew Ryuu that he admired those who had started the purge, he really just wanted to meet them and thank them in person. "Plan on doing more tomorrow though, got to study up on Taijutsu. Heard about something called the gate of something, might try and figure it out"

Light would chuckle, rubbing little Ryuu's hair once more before giving it a slight tug jokingly. "Be careful of that language in front of your aunt, bud. Especially when your calling me something like that...It'll get her all worked up. And Ryuu-kun, you know I barely have enough money to drink, let alone eat..." Technically that was a load of crap, As a collective unit, they were quite loaded, both socially and financially. Now we all know Light is quite an easy going bloke, that much is pretty obvious, so when he pulls the serious face, you know something is up. Ryuu would cause such a persona to come out as he spoke of his desires. The smile would drift away before he spoke. "Be careful with where you wish to head, the road they tread isn't one to be taking lightly, nor are they themselves. I'm aware that nothing I say will stop you, so just know your place when around them." Dick Cheese wouldn't cut it, in fact, if it were directed towards Neo or Jax, who are essentially the same person, it could very well end in Ryuu's very fast death.

He spoke coldly, but it drifted away in an instant. Obviously Light knew knew these individuals...by some twisted string of fate, he was among them, best to keep the boy away from that life for now. As he grows, maybe, but not as a child, not with how this nation really is. "Char-Char, I'm out~" His cup at some point managed to empty itself of its content, most likely during his serious stage, who really knows...well everyone except Light knew. When the personalities drift towards another's territory, the blurry line between them ceases, hence why Risa struggles to be confident. Jax can't be nice. And Light has to be an aloof fool who speaks in twisted tongue. Speaking of which. "Fate is a funny thing isn't Ryuu. The way your life has revolved around people you haven't met, and without anyone realising it, you had subtly become entwined. Its a shame really, I'm lucky to be who I am, no one else gets to choose who they wish to be, everyone is subjected to a time and a place, which will determine who they are. Choice is just a figment of imagination." Laughing to himself, he'd catch his new drink and take a strong sip.

So that explains why he really hasn't been getting paid all too often if he was at all, his Aunt was paying light's tab and getting him off. Hmm, guess she was screwing them both if you think about it, couldn't really get mad at him for it. If anything he would have to deal with his relatives some other way, and of course take his time with Light here. The man's tone and facial expression seemed to drop to a more serious tone as he responded to Ryuu's plans about meeting his so called heroes, almost warning him to stay away from them. "They saved my home from being turned into a cesspool, they deserve my utmost respect if I ever got the chance to meet them. And you don't need to try and scare me, I have my plan and I WILL accomplish it"

"You know, your way to passionate for your age. Women bud, pick up the skills now while your young, that's an acceptable passion. These people you wanna meet, they will work you to the bone." As if to emphasize the words, he'd hold up his right hand, with the wrist limp and swaying. "Trust me. Live while your young before you go off on dangerous adventures, because you will definitely get your fair share of journeys, as well as your chance to say thank you, but what most people lack, and why most end up dead in a ditch, much like those who aggressively attacked the pair, what they all lack, is patience." Obviously Neo had heard the story from Yvette about what happened in Souls, so he knew exactly how it went down as Light had all of Neo's memories, though it was a one way stream. Anyway, this kid will start getting suspicious if he continues to say too much. Wouldn't that be a shock, his local drunk was actually a companion to his hero's, seeing them only hours after the life changing incident.

Light's stomach would growl once more, as he filled it with booze in hopes to ease his hunger strike pain. "Don't most places have like...complimentary peanuts or something? Oh, back on topic, you know womanizing, contrary to belief, is actually a very useful skill. Not all battles are won by amazing muscles such as yours, you need to be cunning, manipulative and smart. You better still be going to school, right? Education is very valuable. I know a girl who does nothing but study all day long, and she's one of the most powerful little girls I know." Y-You know I'm not...that good.... Shut up, you and your ass are perfect. Be thankful its impossible to grab it without the help of Princess-chan. He zoned out for his own secret conversation.

Was it so wrong to be passionate about meeting his heroes, and to want to live up to their expectations? Sure he wanted to get stronger, but he had a legitimate reason to do so. Those people changed his world, opened his eyes to what was needed of the world, the purge had to happened everywhere. If that dream was to bring him to his inevitable doom, so be it. Then Light said something that would stick with him for the rest of his life, that he should live his life and that he needed more patience in his life. "I live my life one rep at a time, whatever is going to happen to me will happen in due time. I just work out in order to be sure that I can handle what life throws at me. Now as for the women remark, I am surrounded by sex at any given time of the day, so I don't really need to worry about that for the time being" Saying that mainly because he had no real interest in women at this juncture in life, so why bother doing that stuff now.

Sigh, kids these days, right? They get the memo, but anything beyond that just flies straight over their head. All of them are cockier then any roster I've seen. "That's what I mean though, your like what? 9? Yet here I am having a semi-serious conversation with you, and I don't have serious conversations. You don't even act like a kid." He'd never stop smiling and his tone was always playful, but his words were made to be true despite their outward appearance. "Enjoy your childhood is all I'm saying. I never got to have one, nor did many, you however still have this opportunity, use it while you can, its one of the few things you'll never come back to." One fucking rep at a time. He's definately going to become a body builder or something along those lines...No wait, he won't be that big, huh. Who would have guessed, am I right?

"Look kid, you seeing them that day was a mistake, the princess should have been more careful about showing herself, as I'm sure you know who she is already." How could you not? She's the most influential person in all of Epsilon sitting on a throne right in the castle of Envoy or something like that. Meanwhile, Neo has to deal with stray mutations in his gassed out shack in Evil...sigh. Anyway, back on topic. "But if you really want, I might be able to get you a low ranked job under her. That way you can at least say your piece without being killed on sight for approaching too fast." He'd finished his drink, pushing of the bench to a stand before tugging on his dress coat collar's like a boss. "Meet me at the gates tomorrow at dawn, if your not there, I'll be leaving without you. For now I have a few...things to take care of." Not all the bandits were cleared out, today it was their job to eliminate them. Shouldn't be too hard. He'd wink at one of the girls on his way to the door. "Oh, and If I'm not there, a younger man by the name of Neo will take my stead. Don't fuck around if that's the case.

{Exit}

Ryuu could tell the Light was getting a little irritated by his reponces, but paid it little mind. He was too busy thinking of one word that was spoken, Princess... There was no way a woman like that could be royalty, he had to find out to be sure. His mind remained on that thought for a moment, if she was in fact royalty, he would have to try his best to serve her. Light would say his farewells as he walked out of the bar, informing Ryuu that he was going in the morning and that Ryuu would benifit from joining him. So he would eat the rest of his food like a hungry ethiopian before making his way next door to try and get some sleep.
