Tierno was told that he had to work in the academy this day. Which was weird but he guessed Tobetsu Jonin would have to play Substitute Teacher every now and than. He would make his way toward the academy, he had to get their before the students so he could be ready for whatever. These were simple students so he shouldn't be to worried. Tierno's mind would flash back to his academy days, he himself was a good kid... His future teammate though... He was a delinquent, he and some of the others in his class were always getting in trouble... God that was annoying... Well hopefully these kids will be okay, not every class is the same after all.

The head ninja in charge told him he was teaching a rather young class and they were identifying their chakra natures and teaching them how they work. He was left to his own devices. Bell rung and the students rolled in. Most of them were eight or nine from what it looked like. He introduced himself, "Hello I am Tierno Rikigaku! Your teacher called in sick so here I am! Let's do roll call!" He said as he started listing names and he heard the correspondent 'here'. After the roll call was done, Tierno say on the desk, ignoring the chair and spoke out to them. "So did your teacher said what assignment you kids were going today or should I surprise you?" A little girl rose her hand, "Yes... Lana!?" "She said we were going to learn about chakra natures!" "Good Lana!" Tierno said taking a note next to the girls name, 'attentive'. "Good so you do all know what chakra natures are?!" A few rose their hands and he picked out this little red haired kid. "Yes... Leon!?" "Chakra natures are elements that we can make with chakra! And each person has their own element they can use!" "Good Leon!" Tierno said pointing at the child and would fold his arms back up. "Now children it's time for the fun part! This day we will learning all of our elements that we own. Since you're all small children most of you will have the simple elements. Most of you will be using the conventional method of chakra sensitive paper. Buuuuut I thought it would be more fun to do this! Theirs fifteen of you in this class, five of you will be using this!" Tierno said as he hummed as a golem would digitize. The golem was greeted with oohs and ahs and he would smirk as the golem let out a steam work sigh accompanied with steam. The children were begging to know how to ya with the mechanical giant. Tierno chuckled as he pulled out his hand and patted the golem standing beside him. "Trivia!" He exclaimed as the class gained a face of terror. They were a decent age they should know a portion of our village history now.

Thirty minutes later and the five were left in this little academic gladiator show. "Well! It seems it has come to you five! Congratulations! Sorry everyone maybe if we have enough time we will all get to play with it, but for now! Everyone come with me outside!" The losers still exclaimed out loud cause hey going outside is more fun than being in. Tierno and the crowd all headed outside in a formal line and as soon as they were out, Tierno would tell them to get in a line and they did. "What nice kids..." He thought to himself as he would pull out the papers and passed them out. As each child got a paper he would announce. "Ok how this works is you surge your chakra into the paper and that paper reacts by showing your simple element. Fire users will have the paper cinder away in their hands. Earth users will see the paper be reduced to dust. Water users will watch the paper be enveloped by water before crumbling away in the puddle. Air users will see the paper simply cut in half. Lightning users will see the paper be cut into a diagonal shape like a lightning bolt. Finally Life users will see the paper turn hard into a plate basically. Those of you with Kekkai Genkai will seeing as most bloodlines involve two elements, your paper will demonstrate both traits of your elements. Okay! Seeing as ten of you have a paper, get in pairs and record your elements for each other. My five winners come forward!" He said as he walked back and redigitized the golem and had the mechanical behemoth sit down for the children. The five children, two boys and three girls had won his challenge of minds. They looked so anxious to be doing this. "Okay! Listen here! We have to go one at time so we'll be going counter clockwise according to my position. So first up is... Lance Vance! Well Lance go on and get close to it!" The small child ran up to the golem and looked in awe. "Okay what you're doing is basically what the other children are doing, buuuuut it looks way cooler. Go ahead when you're ready. The academy is expecting us to take a few hours out here." The kid was so excited he couldn't even speak. He surged chakra into his hand and placed it onto the golem. The golem started to change rapidly from it's rather neutral form into a red slimmer figure that had flame adorning it's shoulders. "My element is fire!!" Tierno would smile and nod his head. "Sounds about right!" The boy skipped back into line and a girl stepped forward. Tierno thought, "Marci Zakiyoshi, let's see how his looks." She calmly touched the Golem and it shifted into a portly blue man but with the same flames adorning its shoulders. "Hm that seems about right! You're a Zakiyoshi so that boil release is water and fire. Hmmm next!" The girl smirked and walked away with an air of pride. Next girl named Kaili Itsugi walked up with a sense of nonchalance. She tapped the golem and it grew white and seemed to have grown armor. The girl blantantly said... "Life..." And walked off back into line. Strange Tierno guess she already knew her element before the class. Next was a Jugo Nuno and he ran up and jumped on the Golem before tapping it on it's head. It grew brown and stoutful, looked tough as stone. Kid looked at Tierno and sneered not saying a word. "Earth... interesting!" The kid jumped off and the final kid, "Menma Nodachi" Tierno muttered and watched at the final golem change.The Golem grew thin and transparent and the kid exclaimed, "Wind right!?" "Tierno nodded and smiled as he wrote down in his notes the elements of each child. He summoned another Golem as he stood up. "You guys are free to train or play. His Golem went back into a neutral state and the 5 started to play around. He went around noting down all the children's releases. By the time he finished he realized the bell ringing and he being down for the day. He bid the children farewell and they said goodbye back. With that he handed in his notes to the man in charge and he would go on home.

When he reached home he found an invitation directed at him saying, "Cousin, this is for you to become a jonin, have fun and see you when you return." TIerno let out a sigh... So his next mission was to get promoted... Oh well, he guessed it was time for him to reach that stage. The invitation said the date and he realized that that would be close. He prepared all he would need in about three to four hours and at least he spent his last day before this mission doing something worthwhile.

He was off! He would head on out and wondered what this exam entailed. From the invitation it said reach the Land of Echoes and you will soon find the place of the exams. He just trudged on and went toward the Land of Echoes. Curious but still wary. This exam kinda came out of nowhere but well if his cousin was confident enough to just send him out on a moment's notice to this place, than Tierno himself would think he had the capablity to pass. Well let's just wait and see.
