Battle between the Lords

A soft sigh escaped the young boy’s lips as he leaned against the wall chewing a piece of gum. Earlier during the day he had received a strange invitation to a duel between himself and another Lord, Yvette. Maxi had heard of this girl during his academy years but had never seen her face to face, and from what he had heard she wasn’t all too friendly. Perhaps it was a strange sense of honor why he accepted this challenge as he had the opportunity out right deny it. But yet he was here, waiting on the girl. Maybe he had hopes that he could win? No that couldn’t have been it seeing that he hated fighting. Maybe he wanted to friends with her? That would’ve been foolish also. Maxi red eyes scanned the immediate vicinity looking for any signs of his opponent. “At least it’s a beautiful day.” He said to himself as he looked into the sky, judging from the sun’s position it was noon, and that gave him at least one ray of hope. After all the sun was his ally.
