| Personal Info Name: Fushichō Eri. Alias: "Esper" Eri. The Phoenix Reborn. Age: 17 Gender: Female Height: 5'6" Weight: 124 lbs Zodiac Sign: Tiger / Aries. Personality: Fiery and spirited, charming and impulsive, brave and commanding, Eri's is the sort of presence that isn't easy to overlook. Filled with energy and vitality, she isn't the sort of person to stay still for any length of time and is constantly on the move looking for something exciting to do. Bored and restless by the repetitive, she prefers to do a wide variety of things, and does them with a boundless energy that is hard to match, as she learns quickly and throws herself wholesale into tasks that interest her. While enthusiastic and expressive, she is very proud and tends to be a little self-centered, doing things for her own enjoyment without thought for others - though this is more a matter of being restless and a little irresponsible over actual malice or selfishness. Though usually considerate, she tends to speak impulsively and without thinking when emotional, and is a little hurt by those who hold this against her. Though quick to anger, she is equally quick to forgive and forget and generally isn't the type to hold grudges except in extreme circumstances. With a very strict view of right and wrong, she considers herself a protector of the weak and justice, going out of her way to right things that she sees as wrong, regardless of how selfish that view might be. Being unable to do so leaves her restless and dissatisfied, conflicting with her idealist notions of saving everyone without having to sacrifice anyone. Appearance: - Spoiler:
History: The moment of Eri's birth was a time of both great happiness and sadness for the Fushichō clan. While the birth of a new heir to the clan was a joyous occasion, the loss of Eri's mother in childbirth was a tragedy of comparable proportion. As was the clan's tradition, she was burned to ashes and her child was bathed in them, infusing the child with her mother's strength and knowledge. Naturally, someone with that kind of edge would prove to be a natural genius, and Eri was no exception. Though she did not have her mother's memories, the inherited skills made her progression to Genin occur shortly after she learned to walk. Her time at the academy passed in a flash, instinctual recollections of old skills driving her to learn the fundamentals in what seemed like an overnight pattern. As everything came naturally to her, she drifted from task to task and skill to skill, wandering as if without purpose. Her father was strict in maintaining her training, forcing her to train her body as well as her mind rigidly, the loss of his wife and her reflection in Eri's gestures like a cold knife in his heart. Though Eri loved her father with all her heart, there was a distance between them that no amount of training or time spent could bridge. Though Eri had inherited the Fushicho's phoenix-like nature, rebounding from her challenges and coming back with the same brilliant father, her father had become like the ashes for which the clan was also known - burned out and lifeless. Eri's career as a Genin was as smooth a track as that of her life as an academy student had been. Never faltering in her training, she still suffered from the same helpless feeling of wasting away, as if all her efforts and achievements were something less than her own and therefore meaningless. Her work was performed by rote, everything achieved for the sake of her village and clan, and though her naturally friendly demeanor held up, it was blanketed by a dull sheen of apathy. It wasn't until her nineth birthday that Eri found something that could drive her ahead for her own sake. An academy student, a small and frail boy about her own age, was being hopeless bullied by the other children. When he had proven stoic against their taunts and physical abuse, he had finally burst into tears when his precious pet songbird was threatened. Driven to act by her heart and her morals, Eri stood between the bullies and the young boy's pet, threatening that only those who would willingly strike through her first would be able to touch the innocent creature. With her body transformed into flame with the awakening of her bloodline, the bullies had scattered in terror, and Eri had discovered both her first friend and a force that would drive her in life - to be the sort of person that was strong enough to save everyone, so no-one would have to suffer needlessly. With a new purpose, she challenged the Chuunin Exams and scraped through anonymously, avoiding the most serious threats and disposing of the casual ones. Her stint as a Chuunin was a smooth and quiet one, undertaking tasks which she was well suited to and coasting along on her talent. It was at this time that her father announced that she would succeed him as head of the clan, and the responsibilities on Eri's shoulders multiplied again. Rather than caving under the expectations, she thrived under them, her spirit brightening more and more as her true nature was squeezed out into the light, illuminating the woman she would eventually become. Working at a pace that others would find feverish, she quickly qualified herself as a talented Shinobi and prepared herself for the test of becoming a Jonin. It was the most difficult challenge of her life, one of which she barely succeeded. Scraping through by the skin of her teeth, Eri was introduced to the genuine challenges of a top tier shinobi, the sort of difficulties that could not be overcome merely by reflected memories. She knew that she would need to improve herself individually, and this was only the first step... Ninja Info Village: Shigakure Rank: Jonin. | Passives:- Spoiler:
Name: Rebirth Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Passive Range: Self
Description: Due to the phoenix-like attributes of the Fushichō clan, each one of them is born with the ability to be reborn from ash. If they died from natural causes then the Fushichō ritual will take place. But if they are still alive and their body is reduced to ash they are able to return to life out of that pile of ash. This doesn’t make fire jutsus useless against them but it means that killing them with fire jutsus is useless because they will only come back to life.
Name: Phoenix Fire Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Passive Range: Self
Description: Some legends have said that phoenixes are birds completely composed of fire itself and the Fushichō have adapted their bodies so they can follow this. The Fushichō can literally turn their bodies into fire, which would allow most attacks to pass through them, with the limit being they can only allow ninjutsu equal to their rank or lower to pass through them but all taijutsu can pass through them.In addition while in this form they cannot use any taijutsu and their flames will deal 1 rank lower than their rank. But this isn’t a constant passive as it can be turned on and off at the user’s discretion. There is also one condition where this ability cannot be used, because the main chakra nature of this clan is Ash Release, then once enough ash has been created their ability to turn their bodies into fire is neutralized. Depending on rank it takes 5 posts of a constant flame burning the surroundings for academy student and genin’s ability to be neutralized, 10 posts of a constant flame for chunin and T. Jonin, and 15 posts of a constant flame for jonin and higher. Until enough ash is produced the clan member cannot use ash release. Depending on the rank of the fire jutsu the count maybe lowered: C-rank fire jutsus will lower the count by 1, B-rank will lower the count by 2, A-rank will lower the count by 3, etc.
Name: Reincarnation Classification: Kinjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Passive Range: Self
Description: The ritual of the Fushichō clan. When one of their members dies and their body is reduced to ash then the clan would place the recently born baby, as long as the baby is under 1 year old, in that ash and the baby would receive all that person’s chakra, jutsus, fighting ability, and knowledge. This would mean that not all the Fushichō will gain access to another’s chakra, but the ones that do are the strongest amongst the clan with chakra levels reaching much higher than nova. For each person that is reincarnated into another than the chakra is doubled. Because of this ritual the Fushichō clan tends to continue to reincarnate people who have previously reincarnated into others, constantly making their clan stronger.
Name: Ash Inhale Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Passive Range: Self
Description: Due to the Fushichō having phoenix-like attributes they are able to absorb ash into their bodies, through their mouths, as a way of healing themselves from the inside out. The absorption of ash can heal all wounds caused by damage equal to the user’s rank and only seal wounds one rank higher, but this can only be used 3 times in battle.
Name: Phoenix Body. Classification: Ninjutsu. Rank: D Class: Passive. Range: Self.
Description: While Pheonix are known for death and rebirth by fire, they are also known for nesting in it, and a Pheonix dying accidentally of it's own flames is nonetheless unheard of. Natural flames and flames of their own creation do not harm a living Fushichō, and instead feel warm and soothing to them.
Name: Renewal of Life. Classification: Ninjutsu. Rank: D Class: Passive. Range: Variable.
Description: Ashes to ashes, cinders to bone. As flames are known to burn things to ashes, a phoenix is known for rising again. This technique uses that concept to create life release techniques anywhere the user has scattered ashes, spawning them from unorthodox ways such as sideways or even suspended upside down as the Fushichō's ashes "spring to life."
Name: Ancestral Recollection. Classification: Ninjutsu. Rank: B. Class: Passive. Range: Self.
Description: A technique which can be learned upon achieving the rank of Chuunin, where the user gains a proper, full access to the memories of their past lives on a permanent basis. This requires the Phoenix's Promise to learn naturally. This recollection greatly improves the Fushichō's capacity for learning and teaching alike by augmenting their memories with the wisdom of those who came before, allowing them to both learn and teach any jutsu via training that they would be capable of using.
Name: Reborn Classification: Kinjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Passive. Range: Self
Description: A jutsu inherited from being reincarnated. After successfully killing her target then reducing their bodies to ash, the user will stand in their ash. Applying her Reincarnation ability to the ash she will gain all the person’s jutsus, chakra, knowledge, and abilities. This applies normally to player characters, and accumulates at a rate of 1 for every 5 non-player characters of equal rank. Naturally this would mean that her chakra levels are exceptionally higher than normal shinobi, so her chakra levels are equal to: *x2 Ninja * *
Name: Stained Glass. Classification: Kekkei Tota. Rank: Passive. Class: C Range: Self.
Description: A skill designed by Eri to increase the flexibility of the Glass Release, allowing them to control the tint of the glass they create. Glasses produced are divided into the categories of 'Opaque' and 'Luminescent', and further divided into four subcategories each which determine additional properties.
Luminescent Tints
Prismatic: Glass of the Prismatic Tint is conducive to the use of illusions. Glass Release techniques of Prismatic tints produce an effect which improves the effects of optical genjutsu to that of Fabrication, recreating them in reality through the use of glass structures.
Fiery: Glass of the Fiery tint has applications which are clearly made obvious by it's name, and tend to be warped into a faint curve due to their inherently heated nature. Fire, Explosion, Plasma, Heat, Scorch and Lava techniques are either raised or lowered by a single rank when focused through glass of Fiery properties, determined on if the glass is curved in a concave (increase) or convex (decrease) manner (stated upon use).
Invigorating: Glass of the Invigorating tint encourages both recovery and physical stamina in those within it. Taijutsu and Medical techniques are improved by a single rank for all individuals when under the field of an Invigorating glass technique.
Mirror: Glass of the Mirror tint is, as is implied by it's name, naturally reflective. Techniques with an original rank up to the rank of the Glass technique with this property are reflected back onto their users upon coming in contact with a Mirror tint technique, making Mirror tint techniques especially dangerous for those who rely heavily on enhancements.
Opaque Tints
Cloudy: Glass of the Cloudy tint is prohibitive to the use of illusions. Glass Release techniques of Cloudy tints reduces the effects of Fabrication to that of ordinary genjutsu, smothering their potential with the cold and uncertain reality that glass embodies.
Cool: Glass of the Cool tint influences jutsu of the Wind, Water and Acid properties, granting them an uncanny chill that stiffens the joints of those they strike. Glass techniques of this tint and techniques modified by them are naturally chilled and can stiffen the limbs of those they strike for a single turn, reducing their strength and speed by a single rank.
Calming: Glass of the Calming property inhibits the sense of pain and encourages calm, rational thought. Glass techniques of the Calming property inflict damage without the accompanying sense of pain, making them uncannily stealthy killers. They also have an additional effect of clearing the heads of those under their influence, allowing them to break out of Genjutsu 1-rank higher than normal, or Ronin Genjutsu of an ordinary rank.
Darkened: Glass of the Darkened tint is prohibitive to the use of light and sight-based techniques. The "truest" of Opaque tints, Darkened glass prevents all light (save those produced from a technique of greater rank) from passing through it, producing areas of total darkness in which only a Fushichō can see. It's inhibiting properties also confuse supernatural methods of sight, causing them instead to see flickers and signs where there is nothing present.
Nonelemental Jutsu:- Spoiler:
Name: Body Replacement Jutsu Classification: Ninjusu Rank: D-rank Class: Supplementary Range: N/A
Description:This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach using the Body Flicker Technique, the moment an attack hits.
Name: Clone Jutsu Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Supplementary Range: N/A
Description: This technique creates intangible copies of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something.
Name: Transformation Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Supplementary Range: N/A
Description:This jutsu allows the user to transform either themselves or another object into the appearance of another person, animal, or object.
Flame Release:- Spoiler:
Name: Fushichō Style: Phoenix Stream Technique. Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C-S. Class: Offensive. Range: Short-Long.
Description: A simple and efficient technique that marks one of the staples of Fushichō flame-element ninjutsu, this technique produces firework like streamers of fire which fly at the rank of the user and strike at 1-rank below the user's. The number of streamers produced are also determined by the user's rank, increasing by ten with every rank with an initial count of five at Genin.
Name: Fushichō Style: Phoenix Dance. Classification: Nintaijutsu. Rank: B. Class: Supplementary. Range: Short.
Description: A technique designed for use in conjunction with the Phoenix Fire technique where the user produces a flame of sufficient density where it can shift back and forth from a solid state. This technique allows the Fushichō clan member to use other Taijutsu while in the Phoenix Fire state, greatly improving their flexibility.
Name: Fushichō Style: Eternal Blaze. Classification: Kinjutsu Rank: A Class: Offensive. Range: AoE.
Description: Just like the Phoenix dies and is reborn in flames, the Fushichō clan member can enwreath themselves in a fiery battlefield spreading thirty meters in which everything is set ablaze in an imitation of their funeral pyre. The initial burst of flames are of A-rank intensity, and the lingering flames, which last for five turns, inflict B-rank burns each turn that ignore the target's defensive measures which are not designed specifically for flames.
Name: Phoenix Affliction. Classification: Ninjutsu. Rank: S-rank. Class: Supplementary. Range: Short.
Description: A technique where the user molds chakra inside themselves and then forcibly inflicts the Phoenix Fire state, on another being through touch. This effect literally turn their bodies into fire, which would allow most attacks to pass through them, with the limit being they can only allow ninjutsu equal to the user's rank or lower to pass through them but all taijutsu can pass through them.In addition while in this form they cannot use any taijutsu and their flames will deal 1 rank lower than their rank. Without actually possessing the Phoenix Fire technique, the only way to remove this state is at the user's will or by killing the user. While not immediately dangerous and, indeed, beneficial at first glance, this technique is dangerous primarily for the simple fact that non-Fushichō cannot change back. When their time runs up (through sufficient production of ash), they simply disappear as they are unable to maintain their flaming form or return to their original state, leaving only their ashes behind. This process takes 15 posts, as this technique's rank restricts it to those of Jonin rank or above. The use of fire jutsu during this process, however, accelerates the process depending on the rank of fire jutsu used the count may be lowered: C-rank fire jutsus will lower the count by 1, B-rank will lower the count by 2, A-rank will lower the count by 3, etc.
Life Release:- Spoiler:
Name: Fushichō Style: Forest of the Ancestors. Classification: Ninjutsu. Rank: A Class: Offensive/Supplementary. Range: AoE.
Description: A bone release technique where the user turns the area around them into an inescapable net of jagged spears and splinters of bone. Everything within a hundred meters is filled with sharp protrusions of bone, inflicting damage equal to the opponent's speed (if above E) for every movement made. As a physical object reinforced with chakra, this field lasts until it is destroyed, which can be achieved with an S-rank or above technique. Once per post, the user can manipulate the forest to make an attack on the enemy, moving and striking at the user's rank. These attacks consume no chakra beyond that of it's original creation.
Ash Release:- Spoiler:
Name: Ash Tracking Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Offensive Range: Long
Description: The clan member releases a large cloud of ash while linking his chakra to it allowing them to track opponents caught in the ash proportional to their rank once this link has been made the opponent is unable to hide from the clan member unless their hiding jutsu exceeds the users rank.
Name: Ash Camouflage Classification: Genjutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Offensive Range: Long
Description: By dispersing ash into the air by means of Ash Tracking or Ash Mist the clan member can also trigger a genjutsu that is as strong as their rank which causes the opponent not to register the clan member in their field of vision. Making it as if they aren't even their, this doesn't go away even if the opponent is hit as it can only be removed by destroying the ash as the opponent would simply get trapped once more upon breaking out of the genjutsu
Glass Release:- Spoiler:
Name: Glass Release: Feather Blitz. Classification: Kekkei Tota. Rank: D-S. Class: Offensive. Range: All Ranges.
Description: Like a Phoenix moulting it's feathers, Eri is capable of shedding small shards of glass from her body that she can then control. These feather-shaped shards are individually small and weak, but can be created and controlled in clusters as the user wishes. Moving at the speed of the user, these glass shards power is determined by the size of the cluster. Individual shards inflict a D-rank of damage, while clusters the size of a fist inflict C-rank, clusters the size of a basketball inflict B-rank, and clusters the size of a torso inflict an A-rank, while clusters of greater size inflict S. Clusters of B-rank and above can break through defenses 1-rank above their own rank at the cost of reducing their size (and by extension, power) by 1-rank. Clusters consume chakra equal to 1-rank below the size of the cluster to create and are free to control.
Wind Release:- Spoiler:
None.
Fuuinjutsu:- Spoiler:
Name: Phoenix's Promise. Classification: Fuuinjutsu. Rank: C. Class: Supplementary. Range: Self.
Description: A special seal that only the head of the Fushichō clan may learn. It enables the use of the jutsu exclusive to that position as well as sealing a tiny portion of their soul. This sealing enables the Fushichō clan head's ashes to be recovered under unfavourable circumstances and prevents their soul from being lost through various means, ensuring that their strength will live on for the benefit of future generations.
Kenjutsu:- Spoiler:
None
Taijutsu:- Spoiler:
Name: Ninja Way Classification: Taijutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Supplementary Range: N/A
Description: Every human has a code of ethics which define themselves. It is because of that their natural stamina has been hardened. Because of that D-rank techniques do half as much damage as they would towards the other races as they do towards humans.
Name: Vacuum Release Classification: Taijutsu Rank: A-rank Class: Supplementary Range: N/A
Description: The user actually breaks the sound barrier upon use of this attack, their bodies are not even visible the only thing seen being a cloud of steam formed from them moving in the air formed by the vacuum left by the user.
Name: Whirlwind Rotation. (Sig) Classification: Taijutsu. Rank: C. Class: Defensive. Range: Self/Short.
Description: A defensive technique which uses circular or ovular rotational movements, typically of the legs or arms, to deflect attacks. By itself it is capable of deflecting physical attacks up to the user's strength, though it's true potential is revealed with the Phoenix Dance technique, which allows her to also deflect ninjutsu up to her own rank with this technique.
Name: Whirlwind Stroke. (Sig) Classification: Taijutsu. Rank: B Class: Offensive. Range: Short.
Description: A simple technique by any measure, but no less dangerous for that, the Whirlwind Stroke is an attack that can be used individually or in a combo and transforms an attack into one which strikes directly for an opponent's core, giving it a penetrating property up to the user's rank.
Name: Fundamentals of the Whirlwind. (sig) Classification: Taijutsu. Rank: B. Class: Supplementary. Range: Self.
Description: A technique where the user gradually builds up momentum as they fight. For every turn in which Eri uses taijutsu or nintaijtusu exclusively, her strength and speed are increased by a single rank the next turn, capping at S. This effect stacks with other abilities, but not with itself.
Name: Whirlwind Rush. (Sig) Classification: Taijutsu. Rank: A Class: Offensive. Range: Short.
Description: Whirlwind Rush is a technique where the user blitzes an opponent with a series of instepping movements and a constant flow of knee and leg based strikes. Due to the unconventional movements involved, the user constantly appears to disappear for brief moments of time as their movements send them pivoting in circles around their opponent like it's namesake. As this technique increases the user's speed by one tier which can break the S-rank caps for it's duration, the combination of lightning quick, fluid and unpredictable movements make this technique impossible to follow for those whose speeds do not exceed the user's own.
