A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic] Empty
PostSubject: A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic]   A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic] Icon_minitime31st January 2021, 2:42 pm

Another late night of studying, at least this night the library was pretty quiet. Seiko sat on a wooden chair at a table, several books laid out around her that she was referencing and cross-referencing. She was close to being ready for her next set of exams but she wanted to brush up on her skills first and studying helped her get rid of the stress she was feeling. She let out a long sigh and sat up, leaning back on the chair. Seiko put her glasses down on the table and rubbed her eyes, exhaustion settling into her muscles, she'd need to get up and move around but...

She glanced outside at the sandstorm raging and frowned slightly, she didn't need to deal with such awful weather in Haka, she'd move around inside the library so she didn't need to go out in that. Then the strange whistling sound occurred, Seiko only barely able to hear it due to how quiet the library was. She stood up, a strange sense of worry running through her.

Then the alarms started.

She hissed out a curse and closed her books, putting them into a pile before raising her voice. "Anyone in the library, start to move towards the Detainment Zone, it is the most secure part of the village, or if you know of a proper evacuation route or shelters, please follow those instructions and alert any that you meet on the way there to the same, the Shinobi of the village will keep you safe." She barked before performing hand seals. Two more Seiko's appeared nearby and all of them spoke at the same time.

"One."

"Two."

"Three."

With their designations done, they all nodded and then booked it outside, running up the walls and onto the roof of the library. The sandstorm was bad for visibility but they could all hear the laughing even at this distance and they looked towards the Refinement Zone. A massive shadow loomed there and buildings were starting to crumble and fall apart. The three Seikos looked at each other and shook their heads.

"We can't fight it." One stated, Two and Three made noises of agreement.

"However we can rescue civilians." Two suggested, adjusting her glasses.

"And ensure clean evacuation routes via destruction of rubble and obstacles." Three snarled, eyes narrowed. Not one of them felt fear, they couldn't anymore, it was all a game of tactics now. If they couldn't fight they could at least ensure that Kohaigakure lived to see another day.

"Plans accepted, let's go." One said firmly before all three of them leaped forwards, jumping from roof to roof towards the Refinement Zone and the sinking buildings, it was time to go on the rescue.

Seiko would hop from roof to roof only for a group of Chunin to hop on the roof next to her and her clones with one of them who judging by his flak jacket was a Chunin Instructor would turn to her before speaking up. "Rikigaku Seiko right? We are on our way to secure the village library, it's times like this that information is lost, you can send one your clones to the commodity zone and the other to aid with emergency reponse, but we will require the real you to assist us with this endeavor in case we run into any trouble." he said not waiting for much of a reply before continuing on to their objective. As they moved shinobi were flitting about the village with those who were at ground level seeming to carry injured civilians on varying levels, some with minor injuries but others with severe ones which probably could use some treatment lest they die before they arrived at the hospital.

As they continued on, Seiko had various choices placed ahead of her, she could continue on her original path, she could do what the Chunin Instructor had asked of her or she could do something else. However all of these choices would become even more frantic as the buildings in the commodity zone would rumble more before the speed at which they fell into the ground seemed to pick up with the civilians trapped in them screaming as they sunk to their deaths. Various shinobi would attempt to save them though the distance covered meant it was a daunting task, while those who tried to sink into the ground to rescue them from the buildings which were already sunk, didn't seem to come back up after doing so....

PostSubject: Re: A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic]   A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic] Icon_minitime3rd February 2021, 9:35 pm

Seiko spent a moment staring at the Chunin Instructor before giving a small nod. She turned to her clones, waved one towards the commodity zone and the other down to the streets. Three immediately jumped down to the streets below and moved towards the most wounded individuals or the ones that people were worried about moving. One and Two looked at each other for a moment before a massive golem appeared beside one. She touched it and then waved it forwards. "Primaris, listen to Two's Commands and assist her with the rescue effort." She told the Golem before turning and leaping after the Chunin Instructor and back to the library to assist with the recovery efforts. Knowledge was power, it was up to her to guard it well.

Two turned and hopped up onto Primaris' back who immediately leaped forwards far further than Two would have been able to herself, slamming down into an empty part of the street before launching itself forwards once more. Once it reached the commodity zone it would aim to land on one of the buildings and rip open the roof before reaching down to pull anyone stuck in the sand free, Two on the top of it looking around for any other buildings that seemed to have occupants that she could save.

Three would hit the street and immediately break into a sprint, moving towards the most wounded or the danger carries before kneeling next to the first one. If the wound was obvious and it looked like they wouldn't be able to get to a hospital then she would use Mystical Healing Palm to at least reduce the damage done so they could be moved. If the damage wasn't obvious then she would instead begin checking them over to see just how bad the wounds were.

PostSubject: Re: A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic]   A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic] Icon_minitime4th February 2021, 6:26 pm

Seiko and the others would head towards the library a majestic building which had three floors and two wings though it seemed that it hadn't escaped the chaos unscathed. All of the doors were open and civilians running out of the door while smoke seemed to be coming from some of the windows on the third floor. One of the Chunin would immediately jump upward his body turning into water and entering through one of the smoke filled windows. The other would turn towards Seiko and continue moving towards the main entrance at B-rank speeds before speaking. "He'll handle the fire on the upper floors, do you have any experience with fuinjutsu? If not I have scrolls which are pretty easy to use just place them near a bookshelf and channel chakra and they'll be able to seal it away, each scroll can store ten bookcases. There should be about fifty bookcases in each wing of the library per floor. Can you do the ground and first floors, Kirito should handle the top floors while I have to head to the basement to ensure the barrier placed over it is still active." he said avoiding the civilians and touching his sleeve, when they got to an area that seemed to be clear, resulting in twenty scrolls with the insignia for the Kohai L&S department to appear on the floor next to them. "Just make sure to mark what's inside them! It'll be a bitch to sort later if you don't."

------------------------------------------Buildings Affected by Quicksand Bog---------------------------
The buildings that were sinking quite rapidly were those which were larger, while the smaller buildings were sinking at a pace that it was more feasible to be able to rescue people from them. As such two would have to make a decision quickly, would it go for a tall building or a short one, in the case of the former upon landing on it, the building's sinking speed would increase to S-rank speed while in the case of the latter it would only begin to sink at B-rank speed. If she chose the former then by the time Primaris tore through the roof it would be able to rescue the ten civilians who had been trying to flee upward to avoid sinking into the ground with the previous floors, on the other hand with the other choice she would save a single family of four.

Other shinobi were doing their best to do the same with the majority going for smaller buildings and writing the larger ones off as losses, with only chunin and genin there wasn't much the majority of them could do as even standing on the surface of the quicksand bog was dangerous without proper the proper chakra flow needed to avoid being sucked in just like the buildings. As such those civilians who were rescued were being ferried by various techniques which could launch them towards the areas in the commodity zone which weren't affected by the changed terrain.

------------------------------------------Streets-------------------------

The Seiko who had entered the streets would be able to see that some of the rescued civilians didn't land as gracefully as others as it was more of a rush job and the shinobi who were in charge of catching them were beginning to tire. Still they were doing the best the could in a bad situation and her assistance with the Mystical Healing Palm would save the life of the first individual she knelt beside who was suffering from a laceration to his thigh after landing on some broken glass. Her treatment would stabilize him while a nearby academy student would crouch beside her before moving to pick him up in a princess carry knowing the civilian wouldn't be able to get to the hospital on his own. There were five different choices of who she would assist next; a child who was screaming near the limp form of a woman, an older gentleman who was clutching his side which was colored a deep red, two men who seemed trapped under rumble and were straining to try and push it off of them and finally a shinobi who was trying to restrain a flailing woman who was attacking him and screaming something about her baby still being trapped in a building.

"It will be done." Was all Seiko said to the Chunin after she was given the scrolls. She had been studying Fuin but had put it aside in order to focus on her medical studies, hopefully the latter would prove more useful this day. She scooped up the various scrolls and dashed off to the book shelves, sliding to the ground next to them. Luckily she frequented this place regularly and with her enhanced intelligence it'd be easy to figure out what each section of ten bookshelves would fall under as a category. Once that was done she'd quickly pen the category in shorthand before putting the scroll down and channeling chakra through it to the draw in the books. She started on the ground floor as it would be the first to go if the place started to sink and would then move to the First Floor, marking each scroll with shorthand categories as she went.

One:

--

Two didn't even hesitate as she landed at the edge of the sinking area, directing Primaris to land on one of the bigger buildings, sliding down his body and sticking to him via chakra flow while he was in midair, once there his hands punched down into the building and ripped the roof away, he'd then start grabbing people alongside Two's help to pull them up onto Primaris' body before he turned and leaped away with his massive strength. The smaller buildings could go to shinobi that didn't have the strength and movement distance that Primaris had. Once landed, she'd quickly scan over them to ensure that there were no obvious, serious injuries before telling them all to run for the bunkers and directing Primaris to leap onto another building that they could try and rescue the people from. It was a race against time but a Golem was eminently more easily sacrificed than a life.

Two:

--

Three for her part healed the first laceration to ensure that it wasn't through an artery before directing some of the others around to get him a crutch or help him walk away. With that done she looked around and made her own pragmatic decision. She created a small golem next to her, not the most powerful but it was easy to make and she sent it to help the two men trapped under rubble. With that done she herself moved to the woman that was lying on the ground not moving. With a quick check she realised that the wounds were serious and would do her best to stabilise the woman with mystical healing palm before directing someone to come pick her up and carefully move her to the hospital, hopefully it would be enough. She'd also direct the child to follow the person moving the woman so they wouldn't end up lost.

PostSubject: Re: A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic]   A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic] Icon_minitime4th March 2021, 7:01 pm

Kirito was dealing with the fire using low leveled water ninjutsu in order to douse the flames in order to keep it from spreading however a crackling sound would ring out causing him to turn only to get electrocuted by a bolt of lightning causing his water comprised body to form a puddle on the ground. The lightnign would cut off after that revealing another shinobi wearing a Kohaigakure flak jacket and a rebreather who would straighten up before throwing a Molotov cocktail at a bookshelf which hadn't been caught on fire. Meanwhile in the basement it would seem there was another individual who had been trying to break down the barrier before August got there. While Seiko wouldn't run into any problems with her task it seemed her allies were in trouble, as August would immediately rush towards his opponent while drawing one of his giant shuriken in order to throw it towards his opponent. No one was supposed to be at the basement level, especially when he took into account the barrier being gradually eroded, it was obvious that the kunoichi was a traitor. She would manage to duck under the shuriken and would spit out a lance of water at August only for him to body replace with his giant shuriken and land an axe kick to the back of her head. She would stumble for a bit but would manage to regain her bearings as he continued to rush her down with taijutsu. "Who are you working for! How could you betray Kohaigakure, especially at a time like this!" August said angrily as his blows were blocked with him slowly realizing that the kunoichi was outstripping him in physical strength.

-------------------------------

With Primaris' intervention ten lives were saved and the others noted that the golem was going to be saving lives in the bigger buildings, this had the effect of allowing them to focus their manpower in saving people in the smaller buildings while also allowing others who were indecisive to commit to their own rescue attempts. Indeed a couple of puppeteers seemed to join in the rescue of those trapped in larger buildings blowing up chunks out from the sides and transporting civilians one at a time. Due to this co-ordination the former frantic situation gained more control. If there were more constructs it would go by faster but so far out of the fifty buildings which were still capable of being saved thirty-five of them were currently being targeted by shinobi attempting to rescue civilians.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This was the right choice, as it seemed that Seiko's clone had prioritized the right individuals with the knowledge that she was able to obtain through diagnosing them all. Those individuals would be transported by various academy students who were in the area with genin leading them to where they needed to go. A couple of genin would rush over to Seiko's clone with one of them, a girl with pink hair in pig-tails, would speak up. "Um we have some medical training but none of us have medical diagnosis at your level. If you could point out their injuries we could save you chakra so you can focus on the more injured individuals." she said as with the rescues there were more people who needed medical treatment. In total there were about twenty individuals scattered about who might need some assistance, but it was up to Seiko to correctly identify them all and direct the right genin medics to them.

A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic]   A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic] Icon_minitime6th March 2021, 1:40 pm

As Seiko, One, in this situation finished clearing another row of shelves, she stopped and snapped her head around. They were far from the fighting, shouting she could understand but why was she hearing lightning? She couldn't pinpoint the exact location, her hearing wasn't precise enough, so instead she digitised the scrolls that she had already cleared and decided that the most important thing she could do would be to ensure that the lower level was secure alongside the information behind the barrier. With that done, she performed a few hand-seals and dropped straight through the ground and into the lower level, straight into a fight. She recognised one of the fighters as the person that had instructed her, it would seem there were traitorous elements in the village. It was time to dispose of them. Seiko hit the ground and stomped her foot, chains leaping up from the ground around the traitor kunoichi, aiming to bind her to create an opening for August. At the same time, Seiko pulled out a pair of kunai and threw them forwards with B-Rank Strength, one aimed at the woman's knee, the other at her shoulder.

One:

--

After letting everyone down, Two dropped down from Primaris herself and kneeled on the ground for a few moments, utilising her chakra to create another golem chassis. "If there's anyone nearby that can grant chakra to another, I might need some more and I can get more constructs online." She called out but she knew she could make at least one more. With the chassis complete, she drew an element drive from her own chest and used her blood to seal and activate it, slapping a seal on the bottom. With that done she then pulled out a dash core from her chest and planted it in the drive alongside a Form Core. She slammed that Drive home into the Golem which immediately started to expand, readying itself and then she created another Drive exactly the same way before slamming it home, the Golem increasing to Medium(S). It wasn't anywhere near as powerful as Primaris but it was the best she could do currently... Well... She then gave it a tap, enhancing its abilities further, now that was the best she could do currently. With that done she climbed onto Primaris who leaped across to another building to repeat his earlier tactics.

At the same time, Two directed Tertius to move to another building that wasn't under a rescue effort, using its higher strength and massively enhanced movement distance to slam down into the roof and tear it open to pick up the people within before leaping away to safety. She couldn't do anything to Shukaku but this... Maybe this was enough...

Two:

--

Three spent a moment rubbing her eyes and clearing her dust veil of some sand before looking at the genin around her. "You are quite literally life savers." She told them flatly, a small smile slipping onto her face before she performed hand-seals, creating two more Shadow Clones, she was rapidly approaching her limit but if she didn't need to use her chakra anymore then she could keep going... For a moment she worried that One or Two might need clones but they had Golems with them, that would have to be good enough. With that done she sent the additional clones away to check for the most grievious of wounds, Three herself moving into position to scan over the wounded bodies to see if any had obvious wounds or were unconscious or not breathing. Once any such individuals were located, Three, Four and Five would move in to seperate targets and start identifying the damages they had taken.

A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic]   A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic] Icon_minitime7th March 2021, 5:37 pm

While it was unfortunate what happened to Kirito, at the very least it seemed that Seiko was able to aid August in his fight. The top level of the library would continue to burn, while the lower level had erupted into a battle for survival in the case of the kunoichi. When Seiko directed the earth the kunoichi would frown before summoning kunai with explosive tags attached to them and detonating them causing multiple explosions which had the effect of not only obscuring sight but likewise destroying the tendrils which would have immobilized her. It also had the effect of injuring August as he hadn't been expecting such a suicidal move and wasn't able to leap away fast enough before his legs were caught in the blast. Fortunately for him he was wearing some leg protection but he would still stand somewhat shakily resting on the barrier while trying to peer through the smoke to locate the traitorous kunoichi.

Seiko's follow up attacks however had struck gold as while one missed, due to the Kunoichi's movement the other one would elicit a scream of pain as it sunk hilt deep into her right shoulder. She would clutch the wound with a grimace while perched on one of the walls using chakra to stick to it, it seems the kunoichi would cut her losses and would once more use lightning flash blade creation to summon some more kunai with explosive tags and then would try to slip away using Hiding within Rocks. Seiko would then have to make a choice, would she try to save August as it was unlikely that he would be able to get out of the blast radius of the kunai or would she pursue the traitor who was moving at C-rank speeds due to the injury she had been given.

Options:

------------------------------------------------------------

While most individuals were more concerned with their rescue attempts it seemed that one of those who were standing around unable to assist would cup their hands so as to project their voice to Seiko. "I have a technique which can give chakra to another person, but I'm afraid that it'll have dire consequences if you don't get medical treatment after it!" said shinobi said who was wearing a slightly modified version of the Kohai Flak Jacket as he had a patch which had the Taki Clan symbol. If Two decided to agree however he would make his way over to her though he tended to stick towards the smaller buildings so she would have to meet up with him in order to get it done. "The name's Ernest Taki, I'm definitely regretting not undergoing additional branch training at this point in time... but with my Strengthening Prescription: Chakra Injection I can give you quite a bit of chakra. My affinities are Earth & Lightning by the way, nice coincidence right?" he said making small talk while quickly going through hand seals in order to get the technique ready should Seiko accept it.

The additional Golem would definitely assist those in saving individuals, allowing for the number of buildings that people were rescued from increasing from thirty-five to forty. Though that still left ten buildings which were still sinking and while others were doing their best only three individuals seemed to be capable of covering distances without having to come in contact with the ground. One of them was Seiko due to her Golem's jumping capabilities, the other was a puppeteer who was relying on her puppets to transport herself as well as those she was rescuing and the last was a Fushicho who alternated from using Sol Fire to jettison into the air and then fall onto buildings to rescue people after breaking their windows.

Ernest:

------------------------------------------------------

The division of labor definitely helped when she produced more shadow clones seeing as there were injured individuals who weren't in the general area. This allowed her to cover more ground and there were quite a number of people with various injuried ranging from broken bones, dislocated limbs, small cuts and contusions. As such the bulk of genin were able to treat them however there were some outliers such as one family who had been caught in a gas explosion from a neighboring apartment, most of them had 1st to 2nd degree burns while the father who had shielded the children from the brunt of the explosion had 3rd degree burns all over his back and scalp yet despite the agonizing pain he was in he didn't make a sound, probably due to a combination of adrenaline and shock. All in all it seemed with the vast majority of rescued individuals sporting some injuries of some sort that these particular clone of Seiko would end up being tied down for the remainder of the rescue effort.

A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic]   A Crimson Moon[Shukaku Attack Topic] Icon_minitime8th March 2021, 11:24 am

If Seiko was completely by herself then perhaps she would have been hard-pressed to make a decision but One had brought an ally with her. Seiko dashed forwards, summoning Secundus, also known as Borealis, in front of her, tapping him before diverging her course. Secundus dashed into position using his strength in order to take the Kunai for August, he was tough and even if he wasn't tough enough to take them all, Seiko would rather sacrifice a Golem than a life.

With that done she leaped forwards into the wall after the figure, reaching out in order to grab the kunoichi's ankle with one hand, using the other to swing around and into the side of her knee, attempting to shatter it so that Seiko could drag her backwards and out of the wall, leading them back to where August was. "Do not resist or I will break both your legs and arms." Seiko said matter-of-factly as she continued to drag, hopefully August would understand that the sealed away scrolls and knowledge was more important than the books above.

One:

--

As for Two, when she heard that someone was able to give her chakra, she sent off Primaris on his own to pull people out of buildings before hopping buildings over to the person that was willing to assist her. She crouched next to him and gave him a nod. "Give me all you can, I don't need to worry about medical issues, I'm a Shadow Clone of Seiko Rikigaku. When this is all over and I've done all I can, I will destroy myself in order to give my information back to Seiko as well as her Golem." She gave a small smile and then looked around for a few moments, so much death, so many buildings but she had to do her best.

Once the chakra was given to her, she used it to repeat her earlier process, creating another Golem with two Drives, meaning she had reached her limit on how many Drives could be created but the Golem was at least as useful as Tertius. With that done she sent it off to save more people before creating another pair of chasses, they were pretty much useless without drives but they did have a rather interesting purpose; mobility.

Two turned and leaped off the roof she was on, summoning one of the barebones Golems under her, using its basic strength of B-Rank plus her own strength in order to launch herself forwards, returning the Golem to her Digitize behind her, summoning the second at the same time to continue pattern, using the Golems as stepping stones in order to reach the other buildings that her Golems weren't able to reach, hopefully it would be enough.
