[Firenze] New Generations: The Wright Port - Pirates

Firenze was an unknown island, and had been for years. That was until a Corsair crash landed on it decades ago. He spent nearly a year there, simply fixing up his ship and getting her in working order, but he showed the people of the island how to do their own work as well. So whenever a helpless crew came to their island with a broken down ship, they offered assistance. Soon enough they were so skilled they began charging.

And a small gesture of kindness turned them into a verifiable superpower of the seas. They offered assistance to all those in the Pirate World but gave no allegiance to any side, yet their skill left them protected. After all, why would anyone destroy the best shipwrights in the world over something as petty as not being able to control what they do? It also didn't hurt that the island itself was protected by some strong pirates.

Now the Tempest Pirates found themselves on the island, "stranded" for lack of a better word. For one reason or another, the ship they had been sailing in previously was in a bad way. Luckily, they had favors to call in and connections to pull, and were simply waiting for the finishing touches on their new vessel.

Something about coming in to dock on a ship that was damaged like theirs, it felt to Oran like they were now truly a crew of named pirates. It felt like she was finally amassing a group that was her own. And as was becoming the norm for the half-Faunus Captain, she broke in to a sprint and threw herself down in to the waters at the dock. She just always liked the feel the water for the island. A little superstitious action picked up from her father, her biological father, but something she had grown to deeply love. However, the crew's shipwright wasn't quite used to their Captain's actions. The large woman rushing to the edge of the ship. "Oran! You..."

"Aww, you worried about me my Glamazon?" Oran knew just how to get the other girl to blush. Such a short space of time, and the two were smitten with each other. She suddenly yelped as a wrench came flying down and she dodged to the side to avoid it.

"Go! Go enjoy the island, and find me later. I'm going to see what I can do about a new ship," Oran just grinned, and saluted. "Captain overboard! ... As usual," She called out to alert the rest of the small crew. She went to check on Erika's progress. Something about having two lady tinkerers was comforting.

Oran launched herself from the water and on to the dry dock, her body shifting back to it's much more human appearance. She looked back over her shoulder, watching her girlfriend from a distance working on unpacking from the tattered ship they came in on, but also wondering if anyone else was going to tag along with her exploration.

It's amazing Celosia was alive. She opened her eyes only to be met with a hard light in them. Oh right, she somehow managed to steal something and find some fuckoff island away from all those cocky pricks. The privateers, bounty hunters, whatever you wanted to call them. She got up and growled something under her breath, letting out a dry cough.

She made herself as a stowaway, getting onto a ship with some of those bounty hunters and then hopping off at the next dock after the lack of respect she got for her dishes and tiring out from overhearing about their constant dick sizing contest. She was sure not all bounty hunters were like this, but this particular group she was with were just wearing her thin enough to start shedding from the stress of babysitting these obviously green idiots.

At least her fur had grown back fine now. It was still thick and healthy for the most part, a brilliant red that almost seemed to glow in the sunlight and canceled out with a dense black fur at every point of her body save her tail that was tipped in white. She pat her duster down, its colour slightly faded off from the sunlight and general wear. She made her way down the docks, noticing a new ship here that was pretty damaged. She let out a soft snort. Not surprising, but she just went to the market to look through the produce available.

Oran walked along the stalls like she owned the place, a lesson she had learned from her mother in order to look like she was a local. She tossed a coin in to a little bowl and took a large juicy looking local fruit, added a little wink to the girl on the other side, and walked away taking a bite. She bit right in, and gave a nice little sigh. It'd been a bit since having a juicy bite like that, just the perfect first taste of a new port. There were just so many interesting sights for the newcomer. But then again, that's exactly how she thought on every island they visited. But she was on a recruiting mission now. Brig was on ship duty, Yoshua was... who knows what he's doing. And in her own way, she was mingling with the locals, learning who was a member of this community, and also who else was a fish out of water like her. Ok, maybe not as literally as in Oran's case.
