Domestication Project Part 1: The Assignment Empty
PostSubject: Domestication Project Part 1: The Assignment   Domestication Project Part 1: The Assignment Icon_minitime26th July 2017, 6:06 pm

After doing some training and upgrading his jutsu diversity a bit, Yama wanted to put it into real practice. He had decided to try his hand at a C Rank mission despite still being an Academy Student, however he did not let that phase him one bit. The only downside was that he had no team and as such had went to the mission registration office and put his name down for the Aviation Domestication Project and was forced to wait a few days for some people to come and sign up as well. Every day after school he immediately came and waited at the office for any solo adventurers to come through, trying to recruit them to join the mission. However, he had yet to have any real luck in getting people to join him.

Today was a day just like any other. Yama sat on a couch in the office reading his school books and studying up on the different elements as well as the theories behind the connection of Genjutsu and Fabrication. He had an idea for a fighting style he wanted to go but he still needed to learn more. If only he had friends who could help. Most of his classmates were too lazy to learn any of the psychological aspects of being a shinobi and were all in the physical oriented classes. While that was Yama's weak point. His strong features were in books and theories. His best skill was in Fabrication, though he knew Yami was a much better physical fighter than he was.

Domestication Project Part 1: The Assignment Empty
PostSubject: Re: Domestication Project Part 1: The Assignment   Domestication Project Part 1: The Assignment Icon_minitime26th July 2017, 7:29 pm

The door would suddenly swing open, almost too violently. Walking into the office with his smoke still lit, not really minding the 'No Smoking' sign posted on the door as he walked towards the notice board to check out whatever might be of interest. It had been about a fortnight since Raion and his team returned from their venture to Epsilon, yet during all that time, he'd never managed to make it back to his village. Often stopping off for missions elsewhere to keep himself occupied in preparation for the Tobetsu exams. Lets see, a sign up for a some...Aviation Domestication Project? Meh, with a shrug of his shoulders and a brief exhale of smoke, he'd grab the pen and sign his name up. Why the fuck not, right? Yama...anyway, i guess we were still short a name so there was no use waiting around this dump. He'd turn to leave, spitting out his smoke and stepping on it on the way towards the door. Taking a brief look the kid on just randomly sitting around, he'd offer a smirk before deciding to curate his boredom.

"Studying in the office, kid? Surely this prickly village has a library or some shit?" Raion was an older boy, a teen. Long blonde hair, dark skin, bandannas, fingerless gloves, tattoos and half his chest openly exposed. Hard to believe this delinquent is even a shinobi. "School book, huh? So you want to be a shinobi?" He'd smirk again, as if it was some kind of joke. But seriously, seeing kids as young as this piss him off. By the time he reaches Rai's age, the kid will probably be a fucking jonin like his sensei.

Kenichi had also return from the journey to epsilon, but at a later date as he had family issues to deal with on epsilon; While dealing with those issues he was let down from the fact his mother wasn't planning to leave anytime soon. Kenichi returned a bit beat down from this information, he planned to change the mood by going to the mission center to retrieve a mission who wouldnt last too long. During his travel to the mission center he saw a familiar, it was rai, due to his mood he refused to actually talk to him, well that was until he realized rai was also looking for a mission. Upon entering Kenichi saw that rai was back to his usual way, Kenichi simply placed his foot against the back of rai then extended it to give him a light shove "you still bullish people!" He stated, and paused for several seconds then spoke again "what are you about to do rai?"

Yama observed the punk style senior coming into the office and writing his name down on this list. It was just one more person and then he would have his first mission. He was wondering if he should introduce himself or not but didn't get the chance to because the guy seemed to have addressed him first. "I'm just studying for my Academy graduation exam while I wait on someone to go on a mission with. I'm Yama Kurogane, I am also going on the same mission you just signed up for, senpai." Yama would stop speaking as another person stepped in and spoke toward the punk kid.

So the punk kid's name was Rai. Probably short for something, maybe Raimundo? Nah. Yama was taken aback a bit at the way the new guy spoke. "Umm.. You do know 'bullish' is not a word right? At least, definitely not in the way you jus use it," Yama would say, his nerd showing a bit. He zoned out for a second before looking away from the two and seemingly talking to himself. "No! I wont say something like that! Don't be so rude!" He would blurt before looking back at the two and realizing he spoke aloud. Embarrased, his cheeks flushing red, "S-sorry..."

So this kid was the Yama guy...Shit. Maybe this won't be as exciting as he initially thought. Hell, it might be chasing a cat or some stupid shit like that if a brat like this was gonna join in on it. Before he had time for a witty remark or anything of the sort, a light push came from behind, forcing Rai to take a light step forwards before turning around to address the dick. "So much for that nice guy act you put forward. Was it just to impress your sensei?" He'd smirk once again, which turned into a laugh as Keni got school by a child. As it was, he was now tossing up between picking on Kenichi and answering his question when suddenly the Yama began speaking to himself. After a brief pause Rai would shrug, pointing at the wall. "Right...Whatever. Kenatcho, go sign up to that shit. I wanna fight something." Crossing his arms, Rai would wait, hoping he wouldn't need to force the guys signature.

Kenichi had no care for the remark towards received towards the kid "rai, one of these days, someone is going to beat you up..." Kenichi stated as he walked towards the paper "let's just pray it's not me" kenichi teased rai, he then read the two names whom signed up "Yama kurogane was it, sounds like sone type of fauna lube" Kenichi look towards the young kid then signed his name under rai's "could it be you came for somewhere else or do you not know about the word improvise, it's when you use something to make up for something you don't have. For rai it'd be brute force to improvise for the lack of common sense." he explained while adding rai to the mix of his conversation... it'd be now when Kenichi choose to answer rai "you ever heard the phrase, not everyone should see everything!" He teased

Yama closed his book and stored it away in his backpack before standing up after the new guy signed his name. "Improvising is one thing. But the correct word to have used was 'bullying'. But enough about that, we have enough people how about we see what beast they are wanting us to bring steal the babies from. That way we can devise a strategy and prepare," said Yama, hoping that the office had a creature and location in mind so that they wouldn't be off wandering aimlessly through the wilds looking for a nest that might not even be there at this time of the year. If that was the case it would be a very big headache to complete the mission. But surely there'd be some idea.

He approached the front desk after taking down the mission from the poster and handed it to the receptionist. "All members for the Domestication Project of an Reptilian species have arrived. We would like to request going on this mission and would appreciate any information you can give us as to location and species that we will be going after."

A threat, than an insult on his intelligence, followed by some type of schooling? As if the kid was sudden older and more mature in his couple of years...Geez, this was annoying. "Both wrong. The word you were looking for was compensating. But I mean, I'm just a brute who reads too much, right?" He'd end that by letting out a 'tsk' sound before waving off the whole plan making suggestion. Instead reaching into his pocket to whip out another smoke, lighting it up in the middle of the office. As the kid went up to get the mission details, Rai would take this opportunity to talk to his lovely teammate. "Kenirochi. What's with the attitude, kid? Thought we were getting along. Or are you clan shinobi too high class for a orphan, peasant brute such as myself?" He was teasing as he spoke, with a grin, followed by an inhale and exhale of smoke. Not aimed in any particular direction, but he did happen to be facing Kenichi at the time. The distance was entirely up to him. With a small chuckle, he'd turn and head for the door. "I'll be waiting outside."

Behind the desk, there was a rather busty pink haired woman attempting to sort out some paper work. In truth she wasn’t really qualified for this kind of job but having issued a few favors here and there to the boss, she was given the job of receptionist and even though it was quite difficult it was better than what she usually did for money, kinda better anyways. “U-Um… Domestication Project? I think I saw something like that around here somewhere.’ The young woman stated as she clumsily searched the file cabinets until she found what the kid was talking about. “Let’s see Mammalian in question is an um V- velociprey? No idea what that is but have fun and don’t die I guess?” She said with a smile before handing him a sheet of paper with the directions to where they needed to be. She would then get back to filing as she needed to have it done before her evening meeting with the boss.

It seemed everyone was a little too focused on exactly what was said and not exactly what was being done, well that was until Yama went to the desk to request information about our current mission. reptilians, seemed to be something new to focus on for a few seconds until rai decided once again in a different office to light a smoke; it was complicated to question the fact that rai might never learn at all, or was the smoke a confidante booster to him. It would seem so as rai mentioned to Kenichi how they were supposedly friends,  which wasn't completely true, more like coworkers with life long connections. Kenichi would simply smile and reply "being in a clan or not has nothing to do with us!" He stated before walking outside

Yama would return to the others out the door after having obtained the information. He looked over the mission pamphlet some more and took a deep breath. He exhaled as he closed the door behind him and then would turn toward the others. "Ok guys. Good news, target is a Velociprey, one of the weakest of the Land of Anguish creatures. Bad news, the nest appears to be located somewhere in the Pharaoh's Pyramid... So yeah... Tracking the creature shouldn't be hard with me around. But I've heard the Pyramid is full of traps and other such things. Theres even a rumor that it holds a great treasure within," he would say, having read up about the areas within the Land of Anguish within history and geology class. It was said that the Pyramids were actually built by creatures rather than man, but again that was just speculation.

Keni would call out his remark, but ultimately it would go ignored as he left the building. Rai would simply shrug at the topic of traps and treasure. "We'll be fine so long as we don't go too far in." Its not as if the entrance to the Pyramid is hidden, or that the first few layers haven't been explored, but there is a limit to the knowledge, which means their is a limit to the survival rate. Looking for treasure wasn't part of the mission and didn't interest Rai in the slightest. If the kid wanted to go running through, he can do it on his own. In any case, the mission was set, and the target announced. Velociprey...Should be fun, I suppose? "So, obviously this isn't just one of them. We'll be dealing with a pack, but the pyramid is a weird place for em to be." He'd take a draw before he began walking towards the village entrance, not bothering to see if the others were following. He'd heard the Pharaoh's Pyramid had something to do with one of the gods, or at least one of their cults, but much like everything else about the place, that too was just speculation.

P.S I lost your topic X and have no idea where to find it.

Kenichi heard the words of treasure and it sparked a bit of his interest, he'd look to rai who didn't plan on venturing into unidentified territory "rai, after the cunning exams were are going treasure hunting!" Just the thought alone of all the gold he'd be able to turn into xel would be wonderful, especially when it could help bring his mother back. Kenichi's face grew a smile as he thought of all the xels he could nearly feel between his fingertips., he lightly shook his head then ordered "what are we waiting here for let's go?" He stated pointing into the wrong direction.
