"I'm... a Zakiyoshi, the Dobutsu War was a little close to home in some ways." She would briefly comment, not wanting to stick to it very long. "I have a grandmother though, probably some other relatives out in the world that aren't aligned," She would keep her eyes forwards though. "We're getting away from our 'safe zone', I want you to keep your senses open, all of you," Just as she said, she would activate her dojutsu on it's lowest level to maintain her stamina. "... oh you cannot be serious," She muttered, rubbing her eyes as she stopped in her place. "Ok, boys, we got an encounter ahead," She spoke low, "... and I hope to Kikuri I'm wrong about them being naked. So Raion, step up besides me. If I recall from our class days you do weird... shouting? Is that the right word for it? Enzo, I'd like you on sensory duty, mine is reliant upon my sight and whilst we're not in range yet I want someone able to pick up on things we can't see."

Dobutsu war? You mean like the cat lady that gives me missions? She was pretty nice.... i never really ran into a mean dobutsu. You mean, we were enemies at a point?" Enzo would say as he rubbed his head. "Sounds exciting, turning your enemies into your friends. Though, i must have been living under a rock. I never really heard about it...." Enzo would say as he looked to Himiko sensei. "Did you lose anyone when it happened himiko sensei?"

Maybe it was a personal question, but Enzo wouldn't press the matter further. Answering Feng's question, he would nod his head. "A bit away from mom and dad, but i stay with my aunt and uncle. I don't think family means you have to be related to them right? So maybe everyone, i some kind of way, has one. " Though, Enzo's train of thought was cut off when he was warned of people being ahead. However, he didn't see them.

"Well Raion sempai, i'll leave that to you. For me, i'll let you know if something comes up. "

Damn this Enzo kid had absolutely no issues getting personal, it seems. The general conversation about family was still a bit of a sore spot for young Raion, so he was quite glad that he made an effort to exit the discussion when he did. But even so, he was still listening, it was obvious that Himiko had lost people, and it was still fresh enough to not discuss with mere acquaintances. Also, how did he not know about the war? Living under a rock was right. But all of this petty nonsense aside, it would appear as though Rai’s holy prayers have been answered by one of the gods. Perhaps this was a sacred pilgrimage in Susanoo’s name after all. In a quick, sudden motion, he would bring his thumb towards his fingers, snapping the book shut, ensuring a speedy glance towards the page number before doing so. While placing it somewhere safe, he would begin to move up towards his designated position as he sense dictated the basic strategy. Honestly, he was impressed that Himiko had even remembered the shouting since the measly single shout he had back then only paled in comparison to current arsenal of his voice.

So, from what he’s currently be told, there seem to be more than one, and they seem to be naked. “Awful lot of effort just to ambush a monk.” Just a hunch, but there might be something more to this, always is in escort missions. He would shrug in response to his sensei’s question about what the shouting is called as he reached her side, stretching his neck side to side, silently cracking away the tension. A wicked, intimidating grin wiping its way across his face. “Should be fun.”

The naked individuals would notice the approach of their quarry and three of them would begin to move closer along the ground at C-rank speeds still crawling despite their speed increase, the other two would take different approaches, one of them would actually slip underground while the other would give up all semblence of an ambush and just make a beeline towards the monk at the high speeds of Crashing Ground. He wouldn't answer but sure enough when he got close enough to see the monk he would proclaim somewhat loudly of his intentions. "Now we can finally claim the life of the butcher of our fellow worshipers of the Mother!" It was a bit confusing for those not in the know, but seeing as the Monk did worship Susanoo it was only natural that at some point he incurred the wrath of those who prayed to Gaia. It was just the nature of things, some of the Principle Deities just didn't get along.

"Yeah, we're gonna talk about that after," Himiko immediately shot to their escortee after hearing what their first attacker screamed as they went on the assault. "Three are in the back still, hugging the ground," she informed the group, keeping her eyes forwards on the one rushing, "One vanished, it looked like they went underground. Enzo I don't know if your sensory will catch him underground, but you've got our backs there from the ambusher." With a roll of her shoulders, she stretched her head back in the brief time she got to stretch herself out a bit. "Raion, I've worked on my vocal jutsu since my academy days if you recall. Not gonna lie... I'm curious to see what out combined voices can do," With a hand resting on her stomach, the other crossing the crook of her back, she began her aria to flood the area with her chakra.

"Roger!"

As soon as the assailants started to take their formation, they would be met by an explosion of some kind. Little did they know, Enzo was already extending his reach and saturating the area with his explosive chakra once Himiko sensei informed him of the assault. Having a good eye on them only confirmed this. When the explosion happened, assassins 1-3 will notice that all of the feeling of their lower body would be gone, making them unable to use it and remain prone. Their ear rums would also be shot, cutting off a sensory and leaving a ringing sound in their ears to occupy their hearing. They could negate the immobility with D rank barrier tiers or C rank endurance tiers, but taking out one sensory was good enough of a distraction to hault them. The explosion itself covered 50 feet, so it had a good enough reach.

With that being said, Enzo ducked down and morphed off two morpher shuriken from the floor, tossing them in the area of the 1-3 assassins, the right an left angles a B rank speeds. Due to the morpher shuriken being one foot, it was less than the tiny measurement, giving it the quadruple distance of 60 feet when thrown at B rank speeds. Even if blocked or somewhat amiss, the shuriken would still explode into a hybrid c rank explosion that covers 1 feet, increased to 5 feet due to Volatility of explosive hybrid material.

With the way the shuriken was thrown, they would be made to explode in a 10-foot diameter of C rank hybrid earth materia explosive damage each, with no chnce of mitigating hybrid damage. Enzo completed his assault without moving from his spot to protect the monk, and once that last assailant unearthed himself and touched the air, ehw oudl be ready for that guy as well.

Well shit. It would seem Raion has the worst possible posting position, being right before the topic moderator. Meaning the only way he can actually do anything is if they all chose to leave a target for him which isn't the case here. "Tch." He would hush his disapproval with no attempts to hide it, obviously annoyed. "Can't see shit with all these explosions." Yes, this definately indicates the need for a sensory technique somewhere down the line. But to put it as bluntly as possible, there is nothing more me to do now. I could shout away of course, but I'd be shouting blind at targets which may or may not already be dead. So, with that all said and done, Raion would wait with words on the tip of his tongue.

It was quite unfortunate really, these Priest and Priestesses of Gaia were suddenly halted in place bound by water and then, after a random explosion, genjutsu so that even if they did possess the necessary strength to break free they would still be vulnerable as their lower bodies suddenly gave way. This would leave them vulnerable in all ways which meant they couldn't run from the tossed shuriken which would promptly explode and inflict harm on them. For the first two this harm was lethal on impact as they had been in closest proximity to them while the latter had sustained damage to her legs and lower torso mainly so while she was in pain she wasn't quite dead just yet. Finally the last one had held his breath as he continued to travel underground undetected by those on the surface as he head straight for his true target the Monk that they were escorting and thus if no one managed to pick him out well, said Monk would be swimming with the worms shortly.

Himiko left her team to deal with the ones above ground, activating her Scrying to keep eyes on them still, whilst looked at protecting their escortee as nobody seemed to notice the one who had vanished in to the ground. She took a wild guess at his strategy as she hurried over to the Monk's side, grabbing his hand with one of hers whilst her other turned Hydrification as she prepared her technique. "Alright, you need to squeeze my hand the second you feel anything under your feet. I've got eyes on us all around, and he's likely coming from below," She would point her hand down, palm down, and waited until she felt that squeeze right as the assailant was moving the ground up to grab him. All in one sensation, Himiko would extend her Hydrification arm down, making use of the hole the assailant was making by reaching up to surround his head that was surely not that further down to trap him in a water globe. With that same motion, she was using her own A-rank speed to move him out of the way.

Enzo folded his arms as he looked at the assassin that was still left. "Well, maybe I shouldn't have hogged up the assassins, would you like to take on the last one then?" Enzo would say to Rai as he patted him on the back. "Don't worry, I warmed them up for ya, so maybe you could do something easy like step on them with your super strength?" Enzo was also still on alert and in consideration of his surroundings. If anything happened, he would inform his team. But in the meantime, Enzo would allow Rai to get the last kill on the damaged assassin.

Well this was a fairly decent result, i'd say. The explosion guy seemed to be pretty strong, blowing them all too bits, and Himi was dealing with the 4th dude, meaning Rai could sit back and save his strength. Enzo gave him a little pat on the back, and off he went, walking over towards the living girl. "Well, aren't you a gentleman." He'd say teasingly, staring off at her arms to shut them down. That, coupled with her blow out legs, lets just say she shouldn't be moving anywhere, anytime soon. "Stepping on her would be a waste though, gotta get the dirt first." He'd grin as he approached, giving a swift front kick to the stomach with some hurtful C-Rank Shatter Rend strength, before standing ready to ask his questions. "So, I hear you Gaia hippies know all about that good bud. Got a source for me? Oh and I guess I wanna know whats up with the fucking Sussano monk." Why is it, that every escort mission seems to be based around some dude getting hunted by some other group they pissed off and happened to forget mentioning? It gets a little annoying. His tongue was at the ready, just in case she were to try something whilst he was so close, prepared to dish out the fateful words that would finish blowing her the hell up.

The Monk would squeeze once his opponent's hand burst out of the ground eager to grab him and drag him underground, as a result Himiko would quickly move the monk out of the way while shifting her arm and directing it downward into the hole that had been made to drown the last worshipper of Gaia while he remained underground. Of course the man wouldn't just let himself get drowned so once the water enveloped his head he would get up out of the ground and attempt to stab her with a kunai moving at Bullet release speeds once more to hopefully get her to release him. Meanwhile Raion would torture the surviving priestess who would scream in agony and whimper a bit as he began questioning her seeing as she knew not of what bud was, and didn't want to get hurt again. "He is responsible for the destructions of one of our shrines. He paid shinobi to come in and slaughter every last one of us, and we wanted revenge, we are in the right and we would have succeeded if not for shinobi once again coming to his rescue."

Himiko just signed at the attempt to stab her. She would just turn her whole body in to its Hydrification form to let the kunai go right through her whilst she kept the other surrounding his head under the ground. All the while she listened to what Raion was getting out of one of the others. Hearing that she looked to their escortee wanting to see his reaction to just that accusation.

"Oh, well would you look at that. It seems that these little gang wars with temples aren't all about who has the best stance when they pray. Do they really go through open sabotage like this? Is it that big of a deal to coexist with people who don't believe in the same things that you do?" He was generally curious as to why they decided to live that way. "Too bad for you, we just so happened to be his protectors for the day. And you lost, so what's worse here? The fact that you lost because of a business transaction? Or the fact that you got your friends killed without hiring shinobi of your own? Even if you was to be heavily injured and released, and if you did live, you'll never see the monk again. I hope you can make sense of this for me.

Raion would let out a simple sigh at the response. Almost dropping his head in disappointment at the answers to his question. She didn't talk about the bud, so I guess this wasn't the fun hippie branch of gaia, and her response to the situation was absolutely irritating on our side. "This is why I hate Single-god devotees. Always fighting with each other as if they all aren't equally fucking gods." What was furthering his annoyance, was his teammate in the background, sounding as if he was trying to taunt or mock them, as if they are in the wrong. Quietly, he would "I hate groups like you, but I'm sorry about your shrine." And with that, he'd turn around and begin walking back towards the rest of them, where Himi seemed to have subdued the final foe. The priestess would be left alone, with pained legs, but that itself shouldn't kill her if she has help. "I vote we knock him out and let them go. Unless the Susanno monk can explain how he isn't in the wrong. Destroying a shrine of Gaia? The fuck is wrong with you man?" We should kill him. Rai really wants to kill him.

"Nothing is wrong with me, I was merely filling out a request by one of the emissaries of Susanoo, the shrine was housing a god beast which my fellow monks had attempted to hunt and at the cost of their lives managed to injure it. But the request wasn't finished and thus I opted to pool together funds to hire shinobi to track it down and kill it, that group protected it and resisted the shinobi's attempts to merely bypass them and kill the creature, thus they were killed as collateral damage. I will not apologize for I was doing what was right by my faith, and they were actively obstructing this. Feng said his eyes were firmly on Raion as he could sense the youth was displeased by what he had done, but he was not one to falter in the face of danger, no one who claimed to worship Susanoo was a coward. As for the priestess she would only grit her death and stare hatefully at Enzo for his comments and inwardly swore revenge on the Monk even more than before seeing as he had resulted in the death of more of her friends and family.

Assuming she was successful in keeping the underground man from causing harm and continued to drown, Himiko would drag him up out of the ground, his head still enveloped around him. "Look, I don't like where this is going right now. I feel like we're hearing two completely different stories. However, you have hired us for a job. I don't go out seeking violence despite what people believe of we shinobi. I am a Priestess as well as a warrior. And right now I have a job to complete. So you, stay down," She would begin, lifting the drowning man as she made it form a finger to point at the final remaining enemy. "And you, shall get to your destination. If there's some other big group of people you've pissed off who might be coming for you, a heads up would be very nice,"

"Two to one, jury wins. Regardless of Fang's past, he hired us to do a job, and as ninja who have already been paid by the branch for our services, we should follow through and not fail on purpose. But there is also a security risk in leaving anyone alive in order to refer to where the client is going or how far they are, in case of reinforcements and whatnot. We have to be thorough, but there is no need to be savages about it. "

Enzo then looked to Raion." Raion Sempai, we have to keep moving. Knocking her out or killing her is up to you, but at least make sure she can't catch up, or have her stay unconscious for more than 24 hours." He wasn't heartless, but he knew how to prioritize the mission first. Everything involving the worship was beyond him, safeguarding the escort was a priority. Even though Enzo liked to play, he needed to be professional too.

Raion would sigh in response to this situation. After taking a moment to calm himself down and think about shit, it was pretty obvious that these Gaia fangirls aren't gonna stop just because we ask nicely, so simply knocking them out is leaving behind a pretty shitty liability that'll no doubt bite them on the ass later. Simply reaching down, Raion would use his inhuman strength to swiftly snap the girls neck before turning around and pulling out another smoke, leaving her body to fall limp behind him. Sorry about your puppets, Gaia. He'd think to himself, not exactly feeling all to guilty about the death, after all she was just another monotheist. He would let yet another sigh escape his lips as he lit his smoke and inhaled a full lung of stress relief, then promptly reaching down and grabbing out his book from his specialised book holder strapped against his leg, returning to the engrossing story of whatever the fuck it is.

As Raion approached her she would look at him with pleading eyes wordlessly asking him to spare her, but he wouldn't and she would try to struggle albeit it being futile seeing as he easily overpowered her in order to snap her neck. Feng would shake his head as he didn't think that any more of Gaia's followers would be coming for him after the last bits of them were now killed, it should be smooth sailing from now on, and he would continue down the path with the shinobi who had protected him from his enemies. "Thank you, I always knew the ASN were skilled professionals, I greatly appreciate your protection and shall tell my fellow monks about your services in the future." Feng said looking at all of them but Raion as he was still upset with him especially since he seemed like he disliked him even more now.

Himiko purposely averted her eyes once she knew Raion was finishing off the woman, having to steel herself as she simply wasn't sure in that moment if this was right or not. But they were doing a job, and they were attacking them. No ways around that. Without a word she would continue forwards down the path, leading her team further towards their destination, a few minutes passing before she would finally answer the monk. "Yes well... don't expect me to approve of the actions when I am not performing shinobi business,"

"Okay, and make sure that they pay the big bucks and award us with sweets as a bonus. " Enzo would say as he put his hands in his pocket and looked over to the dead body. "Want to give them a proper burial and put them in the hole with the other drowned person? I don't mind if it takes a while... but if not, let's keep it moving. " Enzo said this as he sighed deeply and followed near Feng like a bodyguard, making sure he was aware of anything else that might come next.

Raion wouldn't bother to acknowledge the monk.It was all well and truly behind them now, so there was no point bickering over the already destroyed shrine. As for the Gaia followers themselves, well honestly, Rai couldn't see the point of expelling extra effort just to bury someone who is already dead. Its not ike they are gonna notice the act, so its just a waste. Keeping himself engrossed in his book, he'd regroup with the rest and fall somewhat into line, trailing off a bit to the side as they went along the road, replying to Enzo in an "i'm not really paying attention" sort of way. "Let the beasts have them." He'd say with a flick of his wrist, eyes never lifting up from the pages. Who knows, maybe becoming food for some creature is the best burial for a Gaia follower? Circle of life and all that shit.

Feng wouldn't even look back and they would instead continue their journey, without him saying a word since the atmosphere had changed ever since the ambush, time would pass and they would move through the land at a somewhat brisk pace, and upon nightfall arriving it was obvious that he was tired and wanted to rest. "We should be half-way there by now right, can't we set up camp for the night, I'm not like you shinobi I tire eventually." he said somewhat pleading having held out for this long as he didn't want to push his luck after the whole debacle. Seeing as they were in the Land of Anguish now, with sand all around them, it was a much harder trek than the barren wasteland that was the Land of Graves. He would look towards Himiko as she was the jonin and thus gave the orders, even if one of her genin was just about the same age as her.

Himiko would sigh as they came to a stop again at his request. She wanted to keep moving, a slight punishment for him perhaps, but they were just doing a job. "Yeah, alright, we'll break just ahead," She would agree and turn back towards her genin team and their escort, before looking forwards and around for somewhere off the path. She would silently motion for them to follow as she led them in to some underbrush, wherein she let loose her firey lioness to clear space for them all before disipating before any unwanted damage could be caused. Not that she wouldn't have immediately put out any unwanted extra fire. "Alright, we'll call this camp for tonight,"
