Making Magic Happen [Magnus Solo Training]

It was quite a change of scenery, the floating islands. Compared to the land of ash, it was almost familiar to his homeland. At least, it was with the water around instead of fire and ash. Magnus found quite a number of samples to collect while wandering around one of the islands, putting each in a small container and making sure to only nab a few of each sample as to not disturb the environment too much.

Magnus settled down along the edge of an island, next to a boulder with a conveniently perfect bevel for holding objects. He pulled out a few items from a bag, a grinding stick with a small, flat bowl, a couple bottles prefilled with a liquid-like chakra, a brush for scraping, the flasks with samples, and a notebook with a pen clipped to it. Magnus took a single piece of two samples from the flasks and observed them, recording their appearances and scents in his notebook. Once that was done, he put the two ingredients together and ground them until they were no longer recognizable and blended into a single coloured mush. Personally, Magnus would have preferred these plants to be dried first, but he was excited to try some new ingredients to see what they do.

He poured the ingredients into the bottle, making sure there was as little traces of the ingredients left so he’d have an easier time cleaning his things. The chakra within the bottle seemed mixed with the ingredients quickly, dissolving them so there was only a single liquid instead of two kinds of liquid in the container. He watched the contents change colour, smiling a bit to himself with his work. He noted a classical bright red within the potion, making a mental note that it was a health potion. It was good to know there were multiple combinations of things that could potions of similar effects. He sealed the bottle and put the containers away, moving to the edge of the water to clean the grinding tools before drying and putting them away. Perhaps he'd frequent this area for ingredients more in the future.
