Gotta catch em all, Shadows Region [Hiro, Mary, Lyssa]

Ahh, the land of Shadows, possibly one of the most dangerous places in the Pandora Empire due to the fact that it was a safe haven for rebels and missing ninja alike and though the rebels have been quelled for the time being it was still dangerous. “Keep your eyes peeled Mary, this place isn’t as safe as Ash.” Hiro warned as he ensured that they weren’t being followed by anyone. All he was interested in right now was to collect either two or three Midogaron and get out of this godforsaken place. The intel they had gotten was that a pack of Midogaron should be around here somewhere but he was hoping that he could pick them off one by one instead of facing the entire pack as that would be pretty dangerous.

A large amount of the group of men there seemed paranoid, often shivering endlessly. If hiro consulted one, it'd seem that they would often flinch before he got near them; another trait of the men were that most were balled up, and constantly skimming the area. "many tell tales of beast who lurk around theses parts young man!" a elderly man who was shorter than hiro spoke, his left eye seemed to have a claw mark across it: proving to the dominance the beast held in the area.

As they traversed through the desolate lands, they would encounter a group of men that seemed a little bit on edge for some strange reason. Though it would probably be wise to leave them alone, Hiro decided to approach them, maybe they would have some valuable information. “Beast huh? That’s interesting. We’re hunting some beasts ourselves, could you describe these beasts and their last known location?” Hiro asked not too perturbed about these monsters sightings after all, these men seemed like ordinary civilians which meant that they wouldn’t be able to adequately defend themselves in the event that they had gotten attacked, Hiro, on the other hand, was completely capable of doing so.

While Hiro was busy with gathering information, Mary stood by idly waiting for the men to tell that where exactly the beast was. She had silently hoped that it was what they were looking for so that she could try her hand at taming a stronger monster. Lyssa would arrive at where they had been and stood by waiting on orders.

"they moved in a group of four, they seemed to be training or something; as they sent in the Cubs first, once they noticed the Cubs weren't handling it to we'll they decided to attack us from behind leaving us trapped. It was until they started feasting on our fears, before they decided to let us going" the man seemed frightened, often shaking and scanning the area in case, he was to be attacked from behind once again. "sir would you be brave enough to take on a pack of midogaron?" the elderly man questioned.

So it was a pack of them, even more interesting. Hiro thought to himself as he listened to the man tell his tale. Though Midogron were harder to deal with when they were in a pack, he was pretty sure that he and the vampire would be able to handle them easily. “I’m positive we’ll be able to handle the beasts. Just tell me where and I’ll get rid of them for you so you and your friends can live in peace.” He said waiting for the elderly man to give him the directions, so he could get to work as these animals won’t tame themselves.

“Wanna play hero I see.” Lyssa muttered to herself as she watched the men converse. Even though they had been together for a few moments she could see that the kid was different than your average Pandora Knight as he wanted to make a positive difference which was laughable but she got to be with Mary so it didn’t matter whether he lived or died.

"Very well!" The elderly man stated, in his eyes were a sense of joy to hear that he'd soon be able to continue exploring the forest. All he had to do was a wait for this unorthodox team to finish their enemy "are you sure they'll be able to do it?" A man his own height soon came to his ear and questioned softly. Faith seemed to be completely faced with him "if you don't believe they could do it, do you want to be feed to the beast as a sacrifice!" Clearly the man was joking those type of things would only make the beast want more to feed themselves. The elder man began to walk towards the forest, he hoped to lead the group to the beast, then flee once the battle began. "I have no will to fight, I'll only need to these horrid creatures who dare bother to interfere with my work!"

Hiro couldn’t help but chuckle at the old man’s reaction. He was thankful that he had faith in them and that had strengthened his resolve to either capture these beasts or ensure that they won’t end up harming the men ever again. Sticking his hands into his pockets, he and his two group members would allow the man to lead the way to the beasts. He, of course, would keep his eyes peeled so that they didn’t get ambushed and since he knew that the vampire would protect the woman he would ensure that the old man was safe. “Stay close to the vampire Mary, don’t want us to get separated.” Hiro said softly.

As they went deeper into the forest the amount of tree began to grow, until it was a significant number. The wind had blow heavier when they first enter, but now they only had been getting slight breezes of wind until this point. That was until four faint shadows were seen running in a circle, two were bigger and taller than the others: leaving most to as that the smaller ones were here. "Fuck they're are here!" The elderly man would say as he move closer to shirt to insure his own protection. The group made a sudden pause almost as if they were allowing the elderly man a chance to leave, that was until four medium balls of scorch came in from four different direction; if they had C rank endurance getting hit by this move will give them minor burns, but B rank endurance would allow them to leave without a scratch. If the group had jumped they would need C rank reaction to see the move, and C-rank speed to move.

Hiro had instantly activated his Raidengan the moment the old man had announced the creatures’ arrival. Thanks to his eyes he was able to accurately track the group by means of electrolocation. “We’re surrounded. Vampire protect Mary at all costs, I got the old man. Just follow my lead.” Hiro ordered as his Raidengan allowed him to see the oncoming attacks and thankfully we would be able to react accordingly.

Turning on his heels, Hiro would grab the old man, threw him over his shoulder and leapt into the air with Hoho Bound at C+ speeds, successfully avoiding the attack. He would then move towards the left away from the group and placed the Oldman down somewhere safe. “Now let’s see if we can successfully trap these creatures.” Hiro muttered to himself as he waited for the perfect opportunity to strike.

Lyssa would follow Hiro’s lead and leapt into the air with Mary in her arms at vacuum release speeds. The difference between two however, was that she had the ability to fly as such she stayed up in the sky as some sort of decoy. “Well now that we’re here let’s play the decoy while the kid takes them out on the ground.” Lyssa said with a smile as she hovered about idly waiting on Mary to do her thing. If the taming had failed, Hiro would be able to attack while they had their attention elsewhere.

“Okay, here I go.” Mary said as her eyes tried to locate the group of animals and when she did, she would speak. “Umm, You guys should come with us. We’ll be able to take care of you guys and you won’t have to constantly attacking others. With us you’ll be safe.” Mary said hoping to convince the four animals to join them.

The chance to capture their food seemed to decrease, as one of the Cubs used the trees to hid itself from the other. What a traitor one could say but that wouldn't be enough to stop the other three from continuing to attack. Well the two older one had suck a plan to get ride of the one whom seem to capture their cub, Both of the older one leaped from tree to tree as they climbed their way up: leaping from limb to limb until they finally reached where the tamer and the vampire were. From inside there mouth came a scorch technique that resembled the previous one.

Midograron alduts:

Well this was obviously going to be a problem. Hiro thought to himself as he watched the two adult Midogaron intently. It was evident that Mary had successfully managed to tame atleast one of the monsters but these Midogaron were quite vicious so it would probably be for the best that they had put them down and not waste time hoping that Mary would be able to talk them into calming down. “Hey old man, hide.” Hiro said before focusing his attention on the two adults. Thanks to his active Raidengan, he was able to predict the intentions of the Midogaron’s and as such the moment they leapt off the final branch to get towards the girls, Hiro would throw eight chidori senbons towards the two creatures in an attempt to pick them out of the sky. He was pretty sure that they would be unable to detect the senbon coming towards them so even if they managed to get their attack they would probably end up being crippled, which would be a damn shame.

“Shit.” Lyssa muttered to herself as she noticed that the two had turned their attention to Mary and herself. Unfolding her wings, she would wrap them around Mary to protect her from the assault of the creatures. Hopefully, this would be enough to protect them both.

Both of the midograron scorch had made contact with the armor the vampire had put up to protect them. This had put the midograrons on between a rock and a hard place as the senbon had made their way through tendons in their legs making a soft landing impossible, but they seem to be have one final plan: both of them release a howl that only the cub could understand. They began to fall toward the ground hitting each limb on the way down, within 30 seconds both midograron hit the floor but only left a pool of blood and a pile of flesh. The cub slowly made its way to its guardians as there was that one thing the cub had left to do. Once the cub made it to the pool of blood that was left by its guardian, the cub slowly took several lick of the blood before realizing the blood of its family.

The Cubs fur began to burn a Crimson red, the fur showed that this midograron has entered a stage that made him more powerful. Within seconds he glance at the group that floated in the sky, he had set his eyes on them before taking out the group that had went elsewhere earlier. The midograron rush towards the two in the sky, avoiding the trees that were placed in the way moving at SS speeds at the group; once he made it to the girls he'd place his nails on the top of the vampires head then howled loudly.

Midograron cub:

Well that escalated quite quickly. But even with that sudden burst of speed, it still wouldn’t be enough to beat the self-proclaimed Queen of vampires. “Hold on tight Mary, this is about to get rough.” Lyssa said as looked down on the woman she held in her arms. She was unharmed from the initial assault which was good but now with that flaming ball of fur heading towards them, she would need to do that to protect the woman she cared about. "Gate of Pain and Gate of Limit, open!”

Once again she felt the great power coursing throughout her body and even though the last time she had used this against an opponent, namely the boy that was watching from a distance, it had failed but this was different. She would finish this off by using the power in her curse mark to transform in her second vampire state which would boost her tiers to SS+. Unfolding her wings, she would flap them with her new found strength, S+, to send violent winds crashing into the pup and if it had no means of battling the raging winds, well it should end up throwing him back into the ground. If that had failed or not, Lyssa would fly down to Hiro at SS+ speeds to hand over Mary to him so that she could fight freely.

The rush of the attack didn't seem all that strong, it only had speed to it. Within second the situation change for the young cub as he was pushed down to the ground with SS+ strength, that alone would be strong enough to care of a pure pup; but this pup had activated his pure blood power from drinking the blood of his guardians. A ball of scorch surround his body, as he fell to the floor. From the speed of his descend it left behind a thick dark smoke that simply cover the area he fell to.

As the thick smoke left the area the cub was seen standing on all four of his paws, he growled wildly before releasing a blast of scorch from his mouth; which was followed by another rush of scorch.

Catching Mary, Hiro would place her down next to him before giving her the signal to get back with the old man. Since they only had one threat left they would be safe hiding in the behind them while they cleaned up things here. “I’ll take him head on, once I’ve gotten his attention you finish it off. Try not to kill it we need.” Hiro stated before pulling out his weaponry. He wasn’t as fast as the vampire was, however, he would be adequate distraction for the pup after all if it ignored him it would get cut down. “Let’s split up, watch out for its attack.” Pushing off the ground with his left foot, Hiro would bolt towards the pup at S+ speeds while Lyssa took to the skies at SS+ speeds, avoiding the attack of the pup.

Since Hiro was heading directly towards the pup he would of course be running head on to the attack. But that wasn’t much to worry about as he had a fast enough reaction speed to evade the move. “If that somehow managed to hit me it’ll be game over.” Hiro muttered to himself as he leapt to the left avoiding the stream of scorching chakra. As he continued his run towards the pup, he would somehow end up stumbling and in order for him to catch his balance he would raise his Wakizashi in the air. This action would cause the moonlight to reflect on the blade and into the creature’s eyes. He wouldn’t go through with the follow up strike however, as he simply waited for an opening.

Blinded or not, Lyssa would take the opportunity to take out the pup. Flying down at SS+ speeds, she would create swords out of bone and when she had gotten near her target she would plunge them both into the pup. These swords however, didn’t deal physical damage, they dealt spiritual damage. Equal to her strength at that. So unless the pup had means of combatting that much damage it would be over for it.

The fight had ended pretty quickly for the pup, being blind by what seemed to be a bright light. Nothing really seem to be near by as the growled loudly as it was blown back by the forum of an X attack. Their was nothing left for the pup but to be captured and carried away, whom wouldve thought suck a story would end in a sad and hopeless way. If they check on the pup it'd wouldve seemed to lay on the floor with tears in its eyes, in a similar sense to a human who would've lost to something important.

“Who would’ve thought that a puppy would’ve been so strong.” Lyssa said out loud before deactivating her gates and reverting back to her normal form. This had been the second time in one night she had to resort to using that combination and to say that it had taken a toll on her body was an understatement. With her legs unable to support her body, Lyssa would stumble over to a nearby rock where she would collapse.

Well she won’t be much use to us now. Hiro thought to himself as he watched the vampire run out of gas. It was quite the commendable the way she fought so he had to give her credit, unfortunately however, they needed to move on. “Old man, do me a favor and get Lyssa patched up. Also watch over those pups for me until I get back.” Hiro said as he sealed the dead bodies of the adults in a scroll before tucking them away in his armor pocket. “Better yet, we should probably just head home.” Hiro said after looking towards Mary. It was obvious that she was getting tired and who could’ve blamed her, they had been out of the village for so long. Walking over to the vampire, Hiro would sling her over his shoulder, while Mary took the two pups along with her. “Let’s go home then.”
