Obtaining The Demon Mark

Niklaus had grinded through the training needed in order too prove his strength and rise in the rank of knights, this was but one steo however currently he was still considedednot a true knight he lacked immortality but that would all change today, he was planning on obtaining a mark or seal but too be honest he did not know much about it.

He would cautiously walk up too the building he saw countless others walk into and come out whole the being they were always meant too be as if the very blessing Carmen was too give was a power meant too be bestowed from birth, and with the ideas of Destiny on his mine Niklaus walked into the building pushing the door open with his wing and looking at whay was inside befkre walking further in.

Upon stepping inside the building, the doors would slam shut behind him and he would be engulfed in darkness. It was almost like the layout of the building changed suddenly the moment he stepped through the doors. Two beings would step up beside him and gently rest their hands on his shoulders before leading him away, hopefully he would know better than to resist. After about five minutes the hands would leave him, although no sound would be heard. Everything would be still until a golden light burst into brilliance before Niklaus, highlighting a massive statue of a phoenix, burning red eyes watching him as he stood there.

Underneath the Phoenix, a person sat although with a cowl over their face, nothing could be made out, not even their general build due to the heavy robes they were. A solitary golden eye stared out from under the cowl and held Niklaus for a few moments before a voice spoke out. It was soft and androgynous. "You come here seeking, you come here wanting... What is it that you desire, child?" The voice asked him, although the eye never moved, it never blinked. Would he answer the disembodied voice?

Niklaus did not resist simply paid attention as he made his way too the room and the beings leading him left, it was interesting how the entire building changed the moment the doors shut behind him but he figured there would be something interesting, when the being burst in front of him Niklauz took a step back before scanning the figure he could not tell what it was he only saw the eye and payed attention too that as the being spoke.

"I desire more power"

Niklaus would say boldy straightening himself.

"You truly believe that you can bring the great nation of Pandora more power? Or is it personal power you ask for? One can bring the other but one can lead to death as well." Niklaus was told almost prophetically before the being sat back, eye flaring brighter for a moment as the golden flames behind it screamed upwards, bathing the Phoenix and then calming once more. "You have your choices then... Make them wisely..." With that the person swept out an arm before the flames vanished bathing the room in shadows once more, nothing could be seen, even special types of sensory would cease to work.

Icons flared into life on the ground before him, symbols of power. The symbols depicted ancient fairy tale creatures of evil and darkness mostly. Vampire and Werewolf were the most obvious, the former a tall figure cloaked in black and red, gleaming crimson eyes staring out. The latter a massive wolf, howling to the moon, up on two legs. A robed individual highlighted the next sigil, a staff held in hand, light radiating from the end; Magician. Horns, fangs and a spiked tail for the next, black as night and evil as can be; The Demon. Stitches, paper, corpse soil formed the basis of the next, a being almost falling apart and yet caring not; Undead. Wings, claws and eyes of malice, a bird being, known for theft; Harpy. Lastly a small figure, almost a child, wreathed in shadows and mist, one gleaming silver eye looking over her shoulder; The Fae. Which would he choose? Stepping on an icon would reveal more, the paths to be chosen.

Niklaus would be sat back by the light of the flames he would also squint his wings spreading out too block his eyes from the light, he woud wait for a moment simply getting his vision back before retracting his wings and looking at the choices before him he did not take long before he spotted his kin and stepped forward.

"I will bring power too myself and in turn strengthen Pandora as a loyal Knight"

He would point at the demon before him.

"I choose this"

There was no sound as he made his choice, although the rest of the symbols faded away and seven others flared into life. Each of them was obviously a marker for one of the deadly sins and all demons were aligned to one, so he would have to choose. Once done, be it by touching the icon or by speaking it aloud, all of the lights would fade. After a second a hand would press against Niklaus's chest, burning through any clothing he might have been wearing. Pain would lance through him and more than likely he would fall unconscious. If he didn't, unlikely as it would require incredible pain tolerance, he would be allowed to walk out, his body ravaged with alterations. If he did fall unconscious, the lesser of two evils, he would awake at home, his body altered and changed depending on his path and a curse mark sitting proudly upon his chest, etched upon his flesh.

[Exit]

Niklaus would pick envy touching it and upon doing so the others would vanish and he would feel a hand on his chest followed by a searing pain causing him too pass out.
