Hungry... So hungry... Hope had been travelling for awhile to try and find the nearest town, but the scent from this new world was disorienting to his sense of smell. Everything was just so unfamiliar. It was even difficult for him to hunt as the animals were far more scarce than where he came from. Luckily after four days with no food he managed to find a nice stream with salmon. A bear hunted nearby but he did not want to bother the creature when there was a bounty nearby. Plus she had cubs to feed. If he took her for food they would surely die. No, there was a circle of life. These salmon were close to death as they died after laying the foundations for the next generation. Hope took his place in the stream and waited. The salmon were very fast, faster than him. But he needed to stay calm. Every hunter knew patience was key to survival. No matter how hungry he was he had to stay calm and wait for his opportunity to strike. It seemed like an hour before he found his moment, but it was actually just a little over ten minutes. Hopes hand struck out to snatch his prey from the water, but he missed and grit his teeth. His stomach growled as the food swam away. Hope had to try again. As he waited for his opportunity to come he would glance at the mama bear who was also waiting. It was maybe another twenty minutes before a nice group came through. He struck out again, but even with so many they seemed to slip through his fingers. He bit his tongue in anger and watched the group swim away. Then, the bear had her chance and she managed to get two at once. But she didn't grab, she swiped them onto shore. Salmon weren't the smoothest but they were still slippery. Grabbing wouldn't work. But maybe... Hope decided to wait and watch the bear hunt. To be successful in hunting one often had to watch true hunters. After almost an hour the mother bear managed to get a good amount of salmon for her and her baby's to eat. Hope had been studying and practicing her hunting method. Once she was gone he decided to give it another go. Taking his place in the river he began to wait. It was almost thirty minutes before he had his chance. He struck out and instead of attempting to grab the salmon he smacked at them, scooping with a clawed hand. Sure enough it worked and he managed to knock it up on shore.

He shouted in excitement and then went back to fishing. Only once he had managed to obtain three or four did he stop to make camp and cook his food. It took him another excruciating hour to find a nice clearing and then another to set it up for the night. After thirty more minutes of searching for firewood and debris did he manage to start his fire. It was exhausting work and his stomach was starting to hurt as it ate away at him. Once he had the fire going he had to start skinning and gutting the fish. But he had to be careful and do it a good distance away near the stream because if any of it stayed in his camp it could attract hungry predators to his camp. After cleaning the fish he finally was able to begin cooking them and soon he would be able to eat for the first time in a few days. While he waited he used some bamboo to filter clean drinking water so he could have something to wash the fish down. Once it was time to eat he would stop and pray. "Thank you Gaia for the bounty of tbe Earth. Thank you Salmon for this meal. I am sorry, but i will be sure to give back to Gaia." He would then dig in and once finished he would bury the bones and plant a flower atop it. "Return to the Gaia and provide her with love and care." Hope would then spill a drop of his blood into the soil and then headed to bed as the Sun began to set. It had been weeks of traveling since he left his village to go on this journey assigned to him by the Elder. He was all alone in the wild, earning his right of passage as a man. But could he really accomplish the task given to him? He knew Gaia would guide him but sometimes he just felt lost, unsure of what to do and unsure if he was even strong enough. But still, he pushed on day after, focused on the task at hand. He thought for awhile before his mind finally tired out and sleep overtook him. When dawn came Hope awoke, the warmth of the morning Sun bringing heat to his body. He packed up what all he would need to bring further on his journey and then returned the rest to nature as best he could. He was careful to try his best so as not to disrupt the natural beauty and shape of the land. As a follower of Gaia he had to respect all life, no matter how insignificant it was. Including Gaia's own body that most took for granted. She was their mother, their creator. She deserved the most respect of them all. And so Hope continued his journey, hoping to find his place in the new world. A position of power that he could use to regain the land to his fellow Kurogane and Dobutsu. He still wasn't sure how he was going to go about it but it would not stop him from trying. To be honest, he was kind of afraid of the world he was heading into. He had heard stories of what happened to the original Kurogane homeland. Would he even be strong enough to fulfill his mission and restore the land to Gaia's children?

Hope was traveling still, making his way from one land to the next, unsure of his destination. Some could say he was lost, which was kind of true seeing as he didn't know where he was going. He knew from a rough map the Avian clan of the Dobutsu tribe had made for him where the major foreign forces were, which he should probably avoid for now till he could gain more information. During the war the Dobutsu had made various bases and seen quite a few sights. One of which was a gathering of non-affiliated foreigners collecting in one certain land, the land called Madness. It was a strange name, but probably due to there being no one overlooking the land itself, unlike with the other groups. It was a dangerous place, for both newcomers and those who stayed there as it was filled with Missing Nin as well as was surrounded on all sides by two of the three major nations. However, Hope had no bounty on his head, no one even knew about him so he should be generally safe moving throughout it. No one would be going after his head at least. However, he would need to socialize and listen in order to gain information. And sometimes trade could buy that information. So when he arrived he would need to locate a source of income in order to buy the information he needed. He hopefully could get a position in which he could easily gain a steady source of information between all three nations. Just getting information from a single nation wouldn't do too well for him, as the information would be extremely limited from what he needed.

Hope had so much riding on his shoulders that at times he felt exhausted just thinking about it. He had only been gone a week traveling and was already feeling home sick. He missed the lush golden fields of flowers, the smell of the river that flowed through the village. He missed his time with the hunting party as they scavenged for the food they need, the mutual respect they had with the Dobutsu in taking only what they needed to survive, like any other predator, instead of killing for sport like the foreigners often did. The Kurogane Tribe grew hemp for most of their needs, using animals only for the meat needed to survive. But they didn't even have to kill many for it either as they also had a large farm land devoted to survival and peace. Many of the creatures even grazed in their fields. Their livestock roamed freely, as they should. Predators often left them alone, as the Kurogane tribe had developed enough to easily fight off one or two. Sure the pack hunters could easily raid their storage at night, but because the Kurogane didn't take more than was needed there was plenty of prey animals for the predators to feast on. The ecosystem stayed in balance even with their presence. It was how Gaia would have wanted it. But no, the damn foreigners had to destroy the original homeland and corrupt mother Gaia's body. One day, maybe Gaia would help him in his quest to return the land to her children. He hoped he could be her envoy, but she hadn't chosen an envoy in many years. He wasn't even sure if she did that. It was just a legend after all. He was still young and the stories he knew of were mainly bedtime stories and history lessons. To be out on his own, he was sure to learn a whole lot more in terms of experiences. It scared him how different his world was about to become. He was afraid the foreigners would corrupt his way of thinking. But he believed if he stayed strong, stayed under Gaia's guidance, he would prevail and succeed in his quest.

As Hope travelled he would often sprout a bone spike from his hand, pressing the wound created together to try and heal it up. When the wound healed naturally over this course of time he would continue to repeat the process, becoming quicker and quicker. But still it was taking many hours to heal. He had to continue so that when he used the Dances in battle he could heal easily during a fight and wouldn't be subject to constant loss of blood. Every warrior knew blood was vital, as it was what kept them running. The faster he could heal the easier it would be to fight. But until he could master his body he would focus on his water release techniques. He was positive he could be effective with the combination he had chosen to learn. He may not have the chakra reserves to facilitate all of the jutsu he had but in case of a strong opponent or needing to be stealthy, he had the Hidden Fog jutsu. His water Clones would go well together with his Water Prison jutsu and his Five Feeding Shark Frenzy would go well with his Exploding Water Colliding Wave. With those combinations he should be able to handle a decent amount of opponents.

Even with the list of jutsu at his disposal, he still was afraid of how well he would do against other competitors. He wondered what kind of work he would be able to do. He heard the foreigners had ships. He was good in the water, maybe he could get work on one. Or maybe he could help track elusive criminals. Kurogane were extremely good trackers, able to pick up the scent trails of others from miles away at times. They could even hear and see far distances. They could taste poisons, some were even tolerant of poisons. If he did get a job though he would like to be a tracker or fisherman. It would be something suited to his specialties. Hopefully he could convince them to hire a young man such as him. Things were going to be so different in this new world he was going to. He didn't even understand how different it would be. He knew buildings were taller than trees and that towns were bustling with thousands of people. That animals were slaughtered for food and clothing and even luxury items. He knew that they also often warred amongst themselves. It would be strange coming from the peaceful place he was from, but he had to endure and survive in order to bring his tribe and the dobutsu tribes back to their homeland.
